Humbly submit your will to God and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.
Jesus said to his disciples:
“Suppose one of you has a friend
to whom he goes at midnight and says,
‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread,
for a friend of mine has arrived at my house from a journey
and I have nothing to offer him,’
and he says in reply from within,
‘Do not bother me; the door has already been locked
and my children and I are already in bed.
I cannot get up to give you anything.’
I tell you, if he does not get up to give him the loaves
because of their friendship,
he will get up to give him whatever he needs
because of his persistence.
“And I tell you, ask and you will receive;
seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks, receives;
and the one who seeks, finds;
and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
What father among you would hand his son a snake
when he asks for a fish?
Or hand him a scorpion when he asks for an egg?
If you then, who are wicked,
know how to give good gifts to your children,
how much more will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit
to those who ask him?”
Today, Jesus reminds us to ask God for whatever we need physically or spiritually. Yesterday, Jesus taught us how to approach the Father in prayer through the Our Father prayer which has the 7 petitions to ask God the Father for everything we need. Today, I want you to reflect on what you’re asking for. What we want or what God has in store for us. Do we know what God wants for us or made us for. Jesus is letting us know today that the Father will take good care of us if we allow Him to. We must rest in His arms and allow Him to love us.
Jesus tells us if we seek the Truth (God) we will find Him. If we ask the Father for the Holy Spirit, He will give it to us. Even though God knows what you will be asking for, He wants you to ask, to make a friendship with Him, to allow Him to be your Father and help you. Jesus is with you in your prayer, He cries with you in your suffering, He rejoices with you when you feel sorrow for your sin and ask for forgiveness for this is why He died. Remember, you may not receive what you are asking for if it is not God’s will. He may be asking you to carry a cross to purify your soul in preparation for heaven or He may be testing your faithfulness to Him. He knows you and loves you more than you know and love yourself. He knows how to help you gain salvation. He wants you to participate in your salvation. Accept it with open arms and be ready to ask for His grace for the battle.
“God knows you better than you know yourself, God loves you more than you love yourself, God wants you to know His Will.” -Fr. Mike Schmitz
Today’s challenge: Allow God to help you, pray, seek, ask!

Jesus is telling us in this Scripture that we need to give to others with open arms and not to reject someone because they are a sertain race or religion. o it because you want to show everyone around what Jesus is.
In todays scripture Jesus tells us what we need to do to be hable to hear him. I can use this in my life by taking what Jesus is telling me in scripture and applying it to my life.
the scripture is saying that if you knock the door will be opened to you and if you ask you shall receive.
I can take this and put it into my life by reallizing that God wants the best for us and all we have to do is ask. This is the power of God, he does wonderful things for us.
God wants us to be friends. He knows what we are gonna ask but he wants us to ask Him. God didn’t let His only son die on a cross for us to keep sinning and never asking for what we need not what we want.
today Jesus is trying to tell us to be generus to every one ,even if you don’t like them much.
God doen’t need us to ask for something, because he already knows. But we should still ask because it will help us grow closer to him. Even if we think we want something, if its not God’s will, it’s not meant to be. God will give us what we need to grow spiritually and will always provide.
In this, I learned that we need to be kind and that kindness will help us get closer to God
If someone asks to borow somwthing give it to them. Don’t be gready. You should always be willing to give something up. Like God is always asking for you and most people always don’t share themselfes. We need to learn to share things and our hearts with god .
I can apply this scripture to my life by asking for what I need not what I want. We need to know that Jesus is always there for us and he will always guid us to heaven. If we have any problems we need to ask and we shall recieve.
I can relate this to my life because it is telling me, friendship and love are the 2 most powerful things in the world. No matter the distance, you should always help a friend if your friendship means anything.
God is saying that if we ask he will give it to us. We need to pray and ask to be forgiven. “Do unto others as I have done to you.”- The Golden Rule. We need to keep the friends that will have the best influence on you and will lead you in the right direction, not only for your faith but for who you are.
Jesus taught us that he will never turn his back on us. We are his own flesh and blood. His creation of all creations. So don’t be ashamed or nervous when you of something from God. He’s no slot machine, but if you willing to do your part, God will do his. Ask and you shall recieve, knock and the door shall open. These are sayings that tell you God is here for you. He loves you and wants to spend every second with you. Do not be ashamed asking a friend for help.
Jesus is sayint today just ask me and it will be given to you. Its that simple. If we talk to Jesus everyday and tell him our needs and our wants he will come to us in our hearts and speak to us like he he is in person sitting right besideds you . He loves us so much so we need to repect him and love him so much back. Jesus dead foru us so that one day we can be enternal hevaen with him. So all we need to do is follow what he is trying to say to us everyday and talk to him like he says today if you go out in the world and seek you will find what you are looking for you just have to go out and look around and realize what he has done for us. He loves us so we need to love him just as much back.
God wants to be our friend. He wants a friendship with us. He wants to give us more grace than what we ask for. But, to do that we have to actually ask for grace. More than we do now, which isn’t probably often.
“If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?” Jesus compares giving gifts to children to the Father giving the Holy Spirit to those who ask. We must constantly ask God for his gifts and forgiveness because going through God is the only way to get to Heaven.
In today’s scripture Jesus is telling us to ask. A lot of times we think that without asking, God will automatically know what we need and grant our wish like a genie. Well He won’t. We need to ask, but not only do we need to ask we also need to sacrifice. We need to sacrifice an extra 20 mins of electronic time to do a rosary or to take time to just talk to God. If it isn’t His will then it will not be done. You have to whole heartedly put yourself in the Lord’s arms and trust Him to know what is good for you.
This scripture, to me, means that even when we do not want to do something, sometimes it is for the good of others. Jesus is teaching us to give of ourselves to others, even when it means making a small sacrifice. He died on the cross for us and for our sins. If he can do that without complaining at all, we can surely make a small sacrifice for our friend with no complaints.
I can apply this to my life by remembering that God is always there to listen to our prayers. He may not also answer our prayers and what we want to happen may not always happen. God will always listen to you and help guide you in the best path you can go down.
I can apply this to my life by praying to God and asking him for help physically and mentally. I need God to help me with my life because I know that I can’t achieve my goals and dreams if I don’t pray. We should be like Christ and be there for each other/have each other’s backs. When the Gospel said that the friend didn’t give his friend a loaf of bread and kicked him out, we should know that no person should be treated like this. We should never be like the friend in the Gospel. Christ is there for us when we pray and ask for help, so why can we be there for a friend?
Jesus is telling us to be generous. We do not know what we will get in return. We should treat other the way we want to be treated.
I think it means when you ask God for help He will help you.
What i take from this is that we should offer everything we have to others.
It tells us that we always need to be curious and opened to new things like trying out a new sport.
To me this means whenever your not at your highest and feel lonely or something like that turn to Jesus and ask and you shall recieve because Jesus keeps his promises and to with that be generous and caring and also give up and help out others and to trust in God because if you trust God good things will happen
I can use this in my life by praying every day and never forget that God is always with me. I should pray for those around me and or are ill. I need to include God into my daily lie and pray to him every day. I should pray to God if I’m in need or I need to pray for something or someone.
Todays gospel says that the person will not give their friend three loaves of bread but God will always have his arms open and and will give us something even greaterma than what we originally asked for.
We should be honest with God, especially because he already knows everything! Make sure that you speak the whole truth! We need to create a loving and open relationship with God.
If you ask God and pray for something He will give it. If we look for God He will always be there. I can apply this to my life by when we don’t get something we want we shouldn’t be sad we should pray to God. We can find
God anywere we just have to be willing to look.
I think this means that if we ever need God he will be there for us when its hard and its easy. This also means when something is wrong we can go to him and talk thorugh prayer when we need it.
If someone you know and are friends with them and you do not give some time out of your day to help them because everyone is sleeping or you’re busy you should rethink what they have done for you and what you can do to give back. Like in this story where hi friend knocks on his door asking for a loaf of bread for a guest he has because he has nothing to feed him you should go out and help him.
It tells us we should be kind and caring to others and share with them instead of being selfish. It also teaches us that if we ask for things it might be given to us.
The meaning of todays gospel to me is just to take some time out of my day and talk to God. I should do this not because God needs to know me which he know me beter than my self; but because we need to build our relationship with him.
I can apply this to my life by thinking more about other people and helping them and not just myself because when I do that I make them happier and I help get them to heaven. Jesus is telling us today that he will always be there for us even in the hardest of times. I can also apply this to my life by believing in Him and having a relationsip with Him.
i feel like it was telling me that i need to open up to jesus and get my priority straight how it might happen is make him priority
I think that we can apply this to our lives in two ways. As the one who is asking and the one is being asked. If we put ourselves in the position of the one who is asking then we think of a time that we have been asking for something whether it is shoes, clothes, video games, or whatever. You would always be persistent so you get what you want. In this position, you are like God wanting you to follow him. If you put yourself in the position of the person being asked you think of when someone is wanting to do something with you and you don’t want to do it. In this position, you are like us. God is asking you to follow him but we keep denying him but he stays persistent so that hopefully we get to heaven.
This scripture is telling me is that what I ask I shall recieve, seek and you shall find but if someone asks me for something I wouldn’t give them something else that is worse. So basically this scripture is telling me to give people what they need and what they ask for.
What the scripture is saying is that we shouldn’t be selfish to others and give them what they need.
In today’s scripture, God tells us to ask Him for our needs and He will provide for us. “Knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks, receives.” This shows us that we need to form a relationship with Christ, and we can ask and He shall provide. God wants us to be happy with Him, but it is our choice if we want that. We should not be ashamed to ask of anything from Him, but we need to give something to Him in return. He is not a slot-machine, and we need to know that. When we ask of something from Him, we should be ready to give something up in returd, whether it is spending some more time in prayer or just spending some time in adoration.
If you pray to god and worship he might not give you physical things like a house but he can give you luck for something.
In today’s Gospel, my heart really focuses in on the phrase, “Seek and you shall find.” But my question is, seek and find what? We already know that God is there. Why do we need to seek Him? My interpretation is this: because we don’t really KNOW Him. We say He’s our God, but do we really treat Him like He’s our God? We seem to get mad at every single thing that goes wrong. And then we blame it all on God. Why? Because we’re human, and we think that since our creator planned our life, that He planned our life this way. No, anything bad, embbarassment, grief, death, it’s all the devil’s doing. So I urge you, get to know Jesus better. Listen to Him, not just talk to Him, listen.
We shall give to others what they ask for, only the wicked will not give.
Jesus knows that he and God can make a life better through the Eucharist.
I beileve that the gospel is telling us if we ask christ for anything, we will receive it.
todays scripture is about helpping people with opening arms snd to lend them a hand if they need it
I think its talking about if you ask Jesus for help he will help you. Also you should be kind and respectful to other people.
I think God is telling us in this Reading is that we need to be more generous for other people and that God is always there to listen to us when we pray or we are at Mass.
In today’s reading I think that it’s saying is that we should not be greedy and share because God is giving his life for us than it shoundn’t be that hard to do something for someone else today. Be kind and don’t be greedy.
what I think that Jesus is telling us is that you just have to ask and youll reseave what you want. I can aply this to my life by asking someone if I can barrow or use it and not just taking it from them.
I think this means to me is that we should all be kind and share because God will grant us a reward to be with him in heaven and that is the greates gift ever. If, someone is sick give them comfort, if someone is struggling help them and God will repay you in Heaven.
I think the scripture is saying that we should trust God, and that he will give us whatever we need physically and spiritually.
I think that what He is saying is that no matter who it is and what they are asking of you then always help them out.
I think this means we need to give what we are told to give and things will be given to us when we ask because if we give people a 20$ bill instead of a $10 bill people may be more willing to give you something extra because of what you did to them.
I think Jeses is telling us that if we ask we can find an answer through him. I think he also says that we should be generous like him.
We gaine humility by asking are friends and Nabors for food and supplies. He did this because he wanted them to know how the poor felt.
