Humbly submit your will to God (thy will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Jesus appointed seventy-two other disciples
whom he sent ahead of him in pairs
to every town and place he intended to visit.
He said to them,
“The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few;
so ask the master of the harvest
to send out laborers for his harvest.
Go on your way;
behold, I am sending you like lambs among wolves.
Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals;
and greet no one along the way.
Into whatever house you enter, first say,
‘Peace to this household.’
If a peaceful person lives there,
your peace will rest on him;
but if not, it will return to you.
Stay in the same house and eat and drink what is offered to you, for the laborer deserves his payment.
Do not move about from one house to another.
Whatever town you enter and they welcome you,
eat what is set before you,
cure the sick in it and say to them,
‘The Kingdom of God is at hand for you.’
Whatever town you enter and they do not receive you,
go out into the streets and say,
‘The dust of your town that clings to our feet,
even that we shake off against you.’
Yet know this: the Kingdom of God is at hand.
I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom on that day than for that town.” Lk 10:1-12
Today, Jesus is asking us to pray for our Pope, bishops, priests, religious brothers and sisters, and catechists (don’t forget this includes parents the first educator of God to children). He is asking us to ask God (the master of the harvest) to send laborers for the harvest. If we do not have priests, we cannot get to heaven, plain and simple. We cannot be baptized to have our original sin taken away, we cannot receive the Catholic ER (Eucharist and Reconciliation) when we fail to keep the commandments. We cannot be consecrated in our vocations of priesthood and marriage or given our last rites before death. We are so blessed in our diocese of Wichita with many vocations, but we can always have more. Many dioceses are suffering in the U.S. and priests are few with many pilgrims to serve. These men and women “carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals” and stay faithful to Christ their whole life. What a great model of love for us! Some spend their whole life in a convent or monastery praying for us! Amazing!
Second, Jesus is telling us that some will accept His message and some will not, but we must not become disheartened. Keep living and teaching Jesus, it brings persecution and joy, the reward is eternal life!
Today’s challenge: Pray for our Pope, bishop, priests, seminarians, and religious!
Be a servant, become a saint!
#Christian YOLO
I think this is saying something like, if we fall away from the faith, or stop going to Church, we need to do everything we can to get back into the Church. Jesus is trying to give us his message, every single day. We just have to accept it in order to have eternal faith with Him in Heaven.
One thing I got out of this gospel is that I have to trust God and trust that he will take care of you. The man his is talking about is God, God is the man who will take you in and take care of you. God will feed you and love you. God will take care of you if you put trust in him.
Jesus tells us to rely only on him and he will provide. He said that we are like lambs among wolves so we should expect people not to be so welcoming to the truth.
this shows us that we need to trust in Jesus that he will help us.
The Scripture tells us that we should accept the things we receive. It also shows us how if you follow the command the journey may to be easy but you should be firm with what your rules are. Just like the 10 Commandments we have our own rules to follow and listen to so we can get to Jesus. If we continue down the road God is calling us to, we will see Him where he wants us to go in Heaven.
This tells me that we need to pay attention more to what God did for us. We don’t accept what all God did for us and we need to learn that he didn’t have to do this for us but he did. And know the Priests and Bishops are doing the same thing for us and we need to learn to pray for them
This is a pretty cool story. Jesus sends the disciples out, and tell them not to bring any money or anything. He also tells them to go into a house, and give them peace, so that if a peaceful person lives there, the peace will stay, otherwise, it would return to them. Jesus sent them out, just like he wants to send us out, to go and share the good news.
It is saying to be loyal to the people you love. I think that you should help and understand people and try to get to heaven ad it’s important because if you do it means you know the works of God and Jesus. They will help you get to heaven if you are participating in your own faith, not your parent’s faith but your’s. It will help you tremendously in the way that you can and will be able to get to heaven if you are learning and talking to Jesus.
I think God is telling us that you don’t have to be rich or have much to follow and be a disciple of Him. We have to believe in God and that he will take care of us no matter what. We need to be the people that preach His word and have faith.
I will try to serve instead of being served. I will appreciate my food. I will treat every person evenly. This reading is telling me that if the house you are welcome in will be a holy house but in a house that does not welcome you will not have faith in God. I don’t think he wants us to just leave with nothing but trust in God and believe that he has a plan for you and the world.
In today’s gospel God is telling me that be thankful for the things you are given, In this story the disciples are grateful for the house, food, and drink given to them in this town or city. Just like they do, we have to be grateful for the things that are given to us from others. It could be a house, a toy or gift for a celebration like a birthday party. You have to be thankful for every little thing you get and give back in return.
We are the laborers that are being sent out. But were not going to harvest then land but, spreading the word of God and bringing people to have a relationship with Jesus. We need to bring them to Jesus so the to can enter the Kingdom of Heaven and spend the rest of eternity with God. This is the most important thing that we can do, bring sinners to God so they can reconcile and have a relationship with God. We can do this by so many ways like putting stuff on social media or just going to the streets and preaching the word. You can also just text your friend that’s not Catholic to come to church with you.
Jesus is giving specific instructions to his disciples for their journey. The part that stuck out to me was this, ‘Whatever town you enter and they do not receive you, go out into the streets and say, ‘The dust of your town that clings to our feet, even that we shake off against you.’ It goes with the whole “turn the other cheek” message. No not everyone will like you and be peaceful with you. What do you do? You go find some other place that you are welcome. After Jesus says that he tells them that the “kingdom of God is at hand”. Even when you think every one and anyone is against you, think of God’s kingdom and find peace in it. God won’t give you anything you can’t handle, you can give all your trust to him, and to him alone.
(Whatever town you enter and they welcome you,
eat what is set before you) we all need to hear this because we are so use to just having food and going to friends houses but we never slow down and just look what we have but i think its important to do so. Like that i just need to slow down and just look at God but we need to.
What i got from this scripture is to always be grateful for the things god has given to you. Sometimes God may give you something or put you through something that you think is a hard time or you think you cant do it. But he will not give you anything you cant handle or ever not believe you cant do anything. With the power of God, you can do anything. There are some people who also don’t get as much as we do so its good to thank God and our family everyday for what we have and what we’ve been given.
We must give everyone a chance. Jesus said, “Into whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this household.'” No one deserves to be left out just because they are different. This is a huge problem in our world, no matter if we can admit it or not. We can change this by offering Peace to all who are different. Also, to welcome them wherever they weren’t welcome before.
(Whatever town you enter and they welcome you, eat what is set before you) we all need to hear this because we are so use to just having food and going to friends houses but we never slow down and just look what we have but i think its important to do so. Like that i just need to slow down and just look at God but we need to.
‘The harvest is abundant, but the laborers are few.’ Why would someone with a thousand crops only allow three people to harvest it? Wouldn’t it make more sense to get as many people as they can to harvest the crops? The Lord sends millions of people to do His works, but only hundreds follow His command. Thousands of them are hypocrites and the other portion refuse what He has generously given. Are we not called to teach the word and follow it? If we cannot do these things, then what are we? Whom do we belong to? Why do we refuse? For we should take up our cross and follow Him, no matter how rough the road ahead is.
In the scripture today, Jesus is giving his disciples a specific task with specific rules to follow. Jesus always has a plan for us and our lives. He has a role for us and we can choose to accept it or deny it. If we accept it, there is a 99.9% chance that it will help people and bring them closer to God. If we deny it, then we are probably hurting people. You can walk away from God. That’s kind of confusing, because the one thing that God wants the most is for us to be with Him. But He wants that to be our choice. He didn’t want us to be like robots programmed to follow Him. Love is a choice. And He wants us to choose it.
Jesus says “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest”. Jesus is the master of the harvest and he sends his laborers (priest, bishops, and popes) out for the harvest.
In today’s gospel, Jesus tells us to “carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals.” God will provide all that we need as long as we believe in Him. I can apply this to my life by trusting in God and knowing that God lets all things happen for a reason.
The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few means that there are chances for everyone to get to heaven but not every one wants to follow Jesus. I also shouldn’t own any extra things. I should only carry things that I know I do need and should focus on the Lord.
Jesus is saying that we should be grateful for all the things people offer and give us
It’s saying that we need to love God more then anything else like money, clothes, and people and to stay holy to Him.
When we go to heaven, were not going to be taking our money or favorite pair of shoes or even sin. We are only going to be taking our soul. Jesus wants you to be clean without sin when you enter heaven.
Something that reached out to me is, “The Kingdom of God is at Hand for You”. I feel like it lets us know that we are made to return to heaven and to do everything we can to help each other to get there.
What this passage says to me is that all we need is God and only God. I say this because if we believe in him he will have someone for us that will see us and want us to be with them and he will let us be the best we can and that person to see how we can be the best.
In this scripture, Jesus sent out his disciples. Jesus tells them to be thankful and eat what is given, for they deserve it. To me, this represents how God gives us each a calling, and although it may be strict and seem difficult, we’re still here to spread the word of God. When we’re rewarded, although it’s okay to be humble, we also have to recognize when it’s okay to take it.
I think God is telling us to be unselfish and to help everyone get to heavan.
This is to see weather or not others can be respect us and and us to respect them. So by going before Jesus they are like his scouts telling weather or not if he needs to go help this town or not.
They had to trust Jesus even though he said, ‘Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals;
and greet no one along the way.’ We also need to trust in Jesus and God, even when we are not sure what to do.
In this scripture I thought about how Jesus told them to take nothing and basically give up every thing they had to help others and preform miracles that would be a hard task to follow because i know that i like my stuff that i have and i don’t want to get rid of it but they did and they carried out his task.
We need to except his teachings to get to heaven.
I think that today’s reading was about trusting God. You have to trust God what he says to do in your life. I also think it is telling us to have peace with our neighbors and not to be selfish.
What this scripture meant to me was that when you are someone is having trouble ask god to help every where they are having trouble.
What I think Jesus is telling us is that we need to go out and grow the Church and to spreed the Word to everyone.
I think that in this scripture God is telling us to be grateful for the things that are given to us, be hospitable for people who come to us for help, and to always remember that heaven is right around the corner
Jesus does not want to rebuke us for not worshiping him. He is trying to welcome us to the faith and to be with him forever. He wants us to serve and make it to Heaven for our own good.
God is everything god is life. that is why we should follow him.
what the scripture is telling me is that never waste anything that is givin to you we should use and enjoy what is brought to us use it to help others. we also shouldnt disturb the people that are givin things and using them.
“The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few”, Jesus tells us even back some 2000 years ago that there are few “Laborers” for him. He asks us to pray to God asking for more laborers, more converts to come and help him prepare the feast of heaven.
Jesus is telling me that we should be humble to others. He tells us this when the gospel says, ‘Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals; and greet no one along the way.’
Wherever we are welcomed, we praise and glorify God. Where we are not welcomed, we leave and find God and His people. Where we go, God follows us. God is always with us.
In today’s reading, it tells us that we should be peaceful, and those who are peaceful shall be praised. This is similar to how those who follow Jesus are able to get to heaven. If you are not peaceful, you will not receive prayer.
In this reading I felt that God was telling us to brings peace to others. If this person is peaceful they will receive our prayer, but if they are not it will return to us. When we are praying for somebody if they are kind and loving they will receive our prayers, but some people are not so they will not receive Gods graces and it will be given back to us.
From this scripture passage I reflected that when Jesus sent the apostles to random people’s houses and asked for there care, He wanted us to trust one another. He wants us to to care for others and be the one being cared for to. We should not be helpless but she should not be so strong that we can’t let others help us. We should be grateful that people are helping us and that we get to help other people too.
My favorite line is “Second, Jesus is telling us that some will accept His message and some will not, but we must not become disheartened. Keep living and teaching Jesus, it brings persecution and joy, the reward is eternal life!” These words are amazing because when we keep living and teaching Jesus, it will bring you the reward of eternal life and it will bring persecution and joy to you. These words to me are inspiring because it helps me understand that we will get eternal life some day and that Jesus loves us and forgives us no matter what.
Jesus was telling His disciples to go out and spread the gospel to those who would listen so they may enter heaven one day.
Today’s scripture tells us that God is always there and will always be there but there are very few that will listen to him and respond.
I think what Jesus is trying to tell us here is to work for him. Ways to help one another. People have grown a part with jealousy, anger, and just holding grudges. Going out as Laborers and helping people can do something. One of he most important things here though is that they went out to serve because Jesus told them to. They trusted Jesus so much to were they went out. They didn’t even question it. They just went out and served the people, and by serving the people, they were serving God.
Always believe in yourself and in God. Some may believe in God and others won’t so keep trying to bring others to God.
I just love these words and it also inspires me to read the bible whenever I am bored.
This piece of Scripture seems to be talking about us being missionaries. It says to “Take no money bag, no sack, and no sandals”
meaning to take nothing. This means we must trust in the Lord to give us what we need to survive. God will give us anything we need on our journey to spread the Gospel. We must trust in him.
Today, Jesus tells us it is our solemn duty to spread the Word of God, to proclaim the Gospel, to evangelize, to spread the good news! We must be willing to let Jesus take control of our life and lead us, and us in turn, must be willing to obey His commands. To live the life of a Catholic Christian that God wants, and not the way we want. We must be willing to give ourselves up in order to serve the people around us. We must try our hardest to offer ourselves in worship to Jesus, then, after receiving His precious Word, act upon it, and go out into the world doing exactly what our Blessed Mother told us: “do whatever He tells you.” Choose to act upon Jesus.
The line that stood out to me most was “Second, Jesus is telling us that some will accept His message and some will not, but we must not become disheartened. I just love these words and it also inspires me to read the bible whenever I am bored.
This Gospel is really sweet. One of the sentences that stuck out to me was, The Kingdom of God is at hand for you. so to me that sentence means that God is waiting for you in heaven but you cant get there by sinning. Yes you are going to sin because we where born with original sin but your not going to get to heaven by not praying or by not opening the bible or not going to church. If you want to go to heaven you need to build your self for heaven.
In today’s gospel Jesus is sending out his apostles to do his work, I think that he is speaking to me about finding and praying about m vocation, he is asking me if I will follow his will to become what he asks me to be.
Today’s gospel is telling me that we don’t have to have a lot of money to live. God will always be by our sides and take care of anything we can’t do. God is always with us and will do anything for us.
This gospel is telling me that we need to accept the things that we receive even if we don’t like it at all. We need to do the with gratitude because if we receive something and we don’t like it then you really don’t care about the person that gave it to you because whenever you receive a gift it is so that you can be reminded that a lot of people love you and they care about you enough to spend money or time with you.
This Gospel is Jesus telling us how to live like him. He is showing a life of poverty, “carry not bag, no money, no sandals.” For this is how Jesus lived, he lived a life of poverty of sacrifice by dying on the cross. It is the little things the little sacrifices that in the end will matter, they may not seem like a lot now but all those little things for others will have it’s way of coming back to you. Servant of God, Emil Kapuan, Pray for us!
This gospel is telling me that we do not need that much to live. It also teaches me that we all need be ready and accept what we get. We also sometimes need just to try to relax.
Jesus tells us that we can trust in him and to rely on him. If he is sending you with nothing, you have to trust that he will guide you. Jesus is sending you to preach in his name, through every house you enter. If they listen to you, your peace will rest on him, but if not it will return to you.
This Gospel is telling me that I should be very thankful for what I have received in my lifetime. Not only that, but I also saw it as Jesus wanting us to care for all of our neighbors. Be thankful and respectful.
I think the scripture is saying to leave everything and follow him. Like the disciples we should put Jesus first and to follow his commandments and His sayings. We should always put him first and all his doings and sayings.
I think Jesus is telling us that in order to do good things in our world and be our best, we don’t have to be so materialistic. He says to carry no money bag, and no sandals. Jesus also says that the kingdom of God is at hand. I think this means that we have to always be ready for what might happen and that we have the power to do the right thing no matter what everyone else says.
I think this Gospel is telling me to spread The Word of God. We were sent down, by Christ to share the news that our savior, Jesus gave us to share. We need more people, especially sinners, to come and live an eternal life with God in Heaven. And that’s was we were made for. That is what are job is, given by Jesus Christ.
This scripture tells of how there are not many workers and how they asked to send more out. Meaning that with someone there to serve mass for us, we can be with the Eucharist. God is with everyone who have religion related jobs. They help us get closer to the Lord.
In today’s Gospel Jesus sends out His disciples. He tells them not to bring money, extra sandals, and others things like that. He tells them this because He doesn’t want them to get distracted by worldly possessions like money. The people that welcome the disciples choose to hear their words. The people that don’t welcome them don’t choose to accept what they are teaching and are rebuking Christ. We must be the people who welcome the disciples in our lives.
This scripture is telling me that we need to trust Jesus and God. Like how Jesus sent his disciples with barely anything and they trusted him. We don’t need anything to follow Jesus.
We should pray for more vocations to religious life. We should also discern our own vocation. If we trust in God and sit in the silence often along with doing our daily tasks our vocation will become more and more clear.
Today, Jesus is sending out the 72 disciples. These men, who are just normal men by the way, they have wives, brothers, mothers, fathers, and children, are the ones who Jesus, the big man upstairs, the son of God, himself sent these men out to preach. These men were like the first priests, sent our by Jesus to fulfill a mission. These 72 men gave up their earthly lives to go out and preach the heavenly word, just like priests. These men went from town to town, city to city, saying things that turned the world upside down. These men were talking about how some man named Jesus was the greatest of all people, the king of the Jews, the savior of the world. These 72 men gave up the earth so that they could achieve the greatest thing in exsistence, Heaven.
Jesus is asking us to give up our lives for him to go preach the Gospel. We have to plant the harvest (the Gospel) and gather more laborers who are willing to believe. Some will not believe and we can only bless and pray for them. We, however must not become disheartened, we just have to keep on sharing the Good News. The reward for the laborers? Eternal Life with Christ.
What I got from this Gospel is that everyone in the world should be grateful for what they have. Jesus made everyone for a certain reason and he made everyone for a certain purpose. No matter how small something or how big something you get is you should be grateful for it. I myself need to work on being more grateful because I am very blessed for what I have in my life.
In this Gospel Jesus is telling his Disciples to go out into a city and to take nothing with them on the way. He says to heal the people that need healing and the Kingdom of God will be handed to them. He tells them to find a house and take only what is Given to him from the people inside of it. I think this Gospel is a good way to remember that it is only in giving that we receive. When the people gave to the Disciple they were given peace, and when we give, we receive from God a new stair step that eventually if we follow that set of stairs we will find heaven. We will be given Peace that nothing else besides God can give to us.
I believe this Gospel is telling us that we should put our trust in him and he will do all things good. We just need to give our full attention to God.
In this Gospel, Jesus tells the disciples to go out with no money, food, or anything. They all did it because they respected and listened to Jesus. We need to get better at listening and doing everything that Jesus tells us to do.
Today in the scripture Jesus gives his disciples a task and rules to follow. Jesus has a plan for us, so you have to let Jesus take control of your life.
The Scripture tells us that we should accept the things we receive. It also tells us that we need to be aware about what rules we set for yourself. Just like the 10 Commandments we have our own rules to follow and listen to so we can get to Jesus. If we continue down the road God is calling us to we will see Him where he wants us to go in Heaven.
I feel like he is saying that we need to take anything he puts in from of us and use it to better ourselves. He puts everything in front of us or in our life for a reason. Whether that reason is to help us get through the challenges of life and overcome things or whether it is because He wants to make us happy and let us have an easy patch in our life. It all gets placed there for a reason. So welcome it into our lives. Just like he told all of them to do today in the gospel.
Todays Scripture is about being grateful for what I have for life, because we take it for granted, and expet it to stay with us forever
I need to be more grateful in life and enjoy what i do have.
I think God is telling us to be unselfish and not being greedy for what we get and that we should be thankful for what we get offered to us
To me this gospel is saying that God’s love is right in front of us waiting for us to do our part and love God back. We are the laborers that God sent out to do our work (Letting Him love us, and loving Him back.) That is our way to Heaven.
What I took from this Gospel is that do as much as you can and if you need help doing something then just ask for help. God made people to help other people, if only one person could do something then that person is not going to get a lot done he would get a lot more done with others and would get it done faster. I can apply this Gospel to my life by not being so selfish and not just worrying about myself and worry about what others need help with.
As he says “ASK THE MASTER OF THE HARVEST TO SEND OUT LABORERS FOR THE HARVEST.” To me this means that God is the master asking us the help / pray for God and Jesus Christ. We the servants are also servants of the Lord Jesus Christ. So we need to all start praying more frequently for God and everyone else who needs our prayers.
This is telling me to spread the word of God. We were sent down by Jesus our savoir to share the news that he gave us.
This Gospel is telling us that we should accept and appreciate all that we receive and all that we have. It is also telling us that if people are treating you with kindness, respect and care you should show the same back to them.
In today Gospel Jesus is telling the disciples what to do when they go out. We are also the disciples of Jesus and although we should;t take what Jesus said today literally, we can still apply it to our life. We can still preach the Word of God. It may not be to crowds and crowds of people, but we could still inform a friend who might be unaware. Whatever we do to help spread the faith, Jesus will be grateful.
In scripture today Jesus is telling us to be thankful for what he has given us in life. That also we should always trust in God because he knows what he is doing we just need to execute.
I think that this reading is trying to tell us that we should be thankful and accepting of everything. If someone does something that is different then you should still accept them for it. As Jesus said in the reading, “I am sending you like lambs among wolves.” This is showing you that we will not always be the popular ones or the class clown or any other roles. You have to be able to adapt to different scenarios and get out of your comfort zone. If we do this then our possibilities when it comes to our love and worship of God, will be endless.
What I got out of today Gospel is to trust what God has in mind. He wants us to now we should be grateful for everything and trust in Him that everything is going to be good. And he wants us to pray in silents. And we should thank Him more often.
Today, this story reminds me of the first call of the disciples. Jesus says to leave everything in this story to come and follow him to preach the good news. The first call of the disciples they stop what they are doing, drop what they are holding, and come and follow him. They leave their families and friends behind for God. This is what God is calling us to do. Not to literally abandon our families but be ready to lay down everything for him. Today we and even I struggle with this. We keep looking for this source of happiness but we always need the next best thing. Jesus wants us to completely love him because he is the everlasting supply of happiness. We all need to work on this.
I learned from this scripture passage today is that you should trust in God no matter what circumstance.Just like he told the disciples to leave everything and follow him we should do the same and leave everything and follow him because thats how we will enter into eternal life with God
I think the scripture is telling us that to be a Servant of God you have to go out and do what you are called to do. In order to be more like Jesus you have to do random acts of kindness and give our lives to him. Preach the Good News to others and get them to pass on the Word, so that we can grow closer to Jesus Christ. We have to willing to do anything for God and trust that he will always be their and do anything for us. We can’t let anyone distract us for becoming more like Jesus.
In this Scripture passag, Jesus tells us to go preach the word of God. With only the clothes on our back, we must go and give others the Peace of Jesus Christ. In today’s society this may seem unbelievable. Impossible, even. Go travel around the country with no food, no clothes, no shoes, and no money?! “Yes,” Jesus says, “all you need is me.”
Jesus is saying we should go into the world with peace into our hearts and treat everyone like it is Jesus. And tell them we come in peace and not in anger or sadness
I think the scriptures are telling us that if we trust in God, we need nothing, because God will always provide. “Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals; and greet no one along the way.” We don’t need money, because our gold is Jesus Christ our lord. We need no sandals because we walk on virtue. We don’t greet anyone along the way because they could try to turn us away from God and Heaven.
You need to be thankful if somebody is helping you with something or they are letting you stay with them or bringing you out to eat you always need to thank them for what they have done because you look at Jesus and the Apostles and they would thank anyone that let them stay in their house or fed them.
When Jesus says “Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals;and greet no one along the way.” It makes me think that when we go to greet Jesus or God, we don’t need money or food or supplies because he will suply us. when He says greet no one along the way, I think means don’t ask for anyone’s opinion, just keep walking.
What today’s reading told me was that we should be humble and love God more than anything else that we think is more important. I think that it is important to love God more than anything because he will help us get to Heaven.
Jesus is telling us that when we go to mass don’t Take with you food or drink that is not necessary. He is saying that He will provide us with everything we need (The Body and Blood). He is saying that we don’t need to take anything with us and that we can go join him happily and not think about our past life.
Jesus is telling us to be helpful to those around us, and telling us that some will be ready to accept what He says but some will not, and God is wanting us to be the people that let His disciples in, and be ready for His message to us.
“Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals” This is important to me because I fell like what God is trying to tell us to not be distracted by earthly things so much. Like our phones. If Jesus was here now he would tell his disciples to get rid of there phones because they are to much of a distraction. I think the message Jesus is trying to tell us today is that we need to stop being distracted so much.
I got a lot of things from this scripture today. It told me to always try to be grateful for the things God has given us. We need to be open and appreciate it. With the power and strength from God you can do anything. Sometime he might and will put things in front of you that maybe be hard or you think is hard. But, God does everything for a reason. You just have to trust and believe that. There are lots of people who don´t get as much as we do so its good to thank God and be grateful everyday. We need to realize how much of a blessing it is.
I think God is telling us that wherever we may go, he will provide for us. That we also do not need money because of the people that will welcome us and be kind.
Jesus is trying to tell us that we need to pray for our priest, bishop, and our Pope. Also just not those people also our bother and our sisters of the church. What we need to do is just take 15 minutes out of our day and just pray for ever buddy.
I think that God is telling us to trust him always and put him first in our lives. Some people care more about their popularity at school or on social media, but really we should put him first. If we trust in God good things will happen in our lives.
I think the Gospel is trying to tell us that we have to trust in Jesus and always be loyal to him.We should always put Jesus first and trust in him.He knows our entire life before we are even born.If we trust in Jesus we will be happy and it will definitely help us get to heaven.
What today’s reading told me was that we should be humble and love God more than anything else that we think is more important. I think that it is important to love God more than anything because he will help us get to Heaven, and getting to Heaven is what we all want to do.
I think the gospel is trying to tell us to trust in God. And to follow the path that the disciples did. Then the path will end up with heaven. Get rid of all the bad distracting things. And talk to God. At mass or on your bed at night just find time to spend with God because he spend time with you always.
I think that today’s gospel is trying to tell us that God wants to live humbly. Humans often want to many material possessions or they focus on things that aren’t as important.
What this passage from the Gospel was saying to me today is that We need to be kind. Say are manners,or just do an act of kindness today. There are many cruel things in this world and to keep the world together we need to be kind some the whole world doesn’t turn black and cold.
I think this passage is talking about how you should stay away from bad people and only be with good people. I really like this passage it kind of reminds me of the good Samaritan when it says good people let you in. just from another perspective.
I think the scripture is telling us to be peaceful with all around us. If not, we will fall into the devil´s clutches. We also need to be grateful
I think Jesus is trying to tell us that we have to spread the Word to others. We could do this over social media, going into holy life or just going out on the streets and teaching. Another way to look at this is “wolves among sheep”. There are still to this day, people who persecute Christians. This should not phase us. We should preach God’s Word fearlessly and courageously.
God is saying that we need to return the favor for the people who pray for us because they pray for us and we need to pray for them as an act of gratitude and thank you.
this scripted is telling us that we should trust Jesus no matter what the problem is
If someone helps you make sure you can help them. We should also trust Jesus and your neighbor. Be loyal to Jesus because he is loyal to you.
“The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few”, Jesus tells us even back some 2000 years ago that there are few “Laborers” for him. He asks us to pray to God asking for more laborers, more converts to come and help him prepare the feast of heaven
I think this gospel is telling us that we need to stop and not just care for ourselves. We need to start praying for other people instead of asking Jesus to help help ourselves. And its telling us that we need to start helping out more and asking if people need help or we need to do random deeds.
