Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.
Jesus said to those Jews who believed in him,
“If you remain in my word, you will truly be my disciples,
and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
They answered him, “We are descendants of Abraham
and have never been enslaved to anyone.
How can you say, ‘You will become free’?”
Jesus answered them, “Amen, amen, I say to you,
everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin.
A slave does not remain in a household forever,
but a son always remains.
So if the Son frees you, then you will truly be free.
I know that you are descendants of Abraham.
But you are trying to kill me,
because my word has no room among you.
I tell you what I have seen in the Father’s presence;
then do what you have heard from the Father.”
They answered and said to him, “Our father is Abraham.”
Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children,
you would be doing the works of Abraham.
But now you are trying to kill me,
a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God;
Abraham did not do this.
You are doing the works of your father!”
So they said to him, “We were not born of fornication.
We have one Father, God.”
Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me,
for I came from God and am here;
I did not come on my own, but he sent me.” JN 8:31-42
Jesus reveals in plain language again that He is the Messiah. This is Good News. God the Father sent Him to save us. Today, our culture is continually killing Jesus, the Truth. The Devil wants us to have so much information that we cannot find the Truth. It is very difficult to find the Truth on the Internet, a vast highway of information. “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and am here; I did not come on my own, but he sent me.”
Jesus is always present. “Behold, I am with you always to the end of the age.” MT 28:20 ”And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.” LK 22:20 Jesus is forever with us sacrificing Himself staying hidden behind bread and wine, so that we may receive Him and be transformed.
Are we like the Jews, who have Jesus present with them, and want to kill Him? Are we like today’s culture (and every culture since the beginning of time) who want to kill the Truth? Why? The truth divides. “He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters.” MT 12:30
It requires change. If there is no change there is no growth.
I just attended a conference that told a lot of truth. “Nobody wants to be average,” was a catch phrase of the speaker. We discussed that for growth to happen we had to change. When we are not growing or feel like we are accomplishing anything we get stuck or scared. What relationship in your life is stuck because you or the other person won’t change (I emphasize you because we cannot change others)? What fear do you have to overcome causing you to be stuck?
The truth is Jesus won’t change, He is the rock (In this time of the pandemic cling to the One who is unchanging). He is love, Truth, and the first good. We all want these, but get stuck or we are scared causing us not to change. If we want to be holy and be with Jesus forever, we have to change.
Today’s challenge: Get out of the way and allow God to transform you. It is hard, it requires that you look in the mirror and hold yourself accountable, and you have to change. Be not afraid, Jesus gave all to be with you each step of the way! He is not dead but fully alive, He has risen!
Be a servant, become a saint!

In today’s gospel, Jesus explains to the Jews that from carefully listening to God’s word, the truth will allow you to become free from sin’s embrace. But the Jews are in the efforts of killing Jesus, and we must not be like them; and rather become His disciples from doing acts of faith and fully listening to God’s instructions: “If you remain in my word, you will truly be my disciples,
and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
God today is leaving a reply of different commands to his children. We look at ourselves and realize that what Jesus did for us, is truly something incredible. Why would we as humans, want to disown and crucify our Lord and Savior? Because we are selfish. We like to have things to ourselves and don’t like to share. We hurt Jesus everyday with sin. Both Original and mortal. God is the way, and most of us ca’t even see it, when the answer is right in front of us.
In this scripture i will take away that for us to be sons and daughters of the father we need to follow him and if we are trully his deciples ;we will follow and share the gospal that he has written for us. we can not change and we can not change other people we are born to be someone and God has us sent on our path to him.
When we sin aginst God we are a slave to sin but he will free us from sin if we seek him. All he is asking us to do is to seek him and to get to know him.
Jesus is love, truth, and the first good and of we want all of those then we have to change.
If we want to know God and be close to us, we are the ones that will need to change! God is perfect in every way. He is beyond perfect, so he won’t change to come to us we need the be ready and form ourselves for him. God is already reaching as far as he can to pull us to him. But if we don’t reach out and take his hand, it will never happen. We can half reach out either. Our faith needs to be strong, so we can have eternal life with the Father.
I can apply today’s Scripture to my life because I want the truth of everything that is told to me, I want to know a secret or even an answer to homework. I strive for the truth just like the Jews that believed in Him, they wanted to know the truth of their Father.
I feel the scripture is telling me that we think we know everything, but really we know nothing. We think we are smart but we know nothing and we need to trust in god to receive the truth.
He is telling us to not sin and how important it is in our lives that we should not sin. He is our God that we need in our lives and sinning will separate us from him and we do not want that to happen. We need to listen to God so that we can all make it to heaven
I really don’t like how the Jews were back then, because when they say that “We are descendants of Abraham, and we’ve never been enslaved to anyone…” How can you be so stupid???!!! First of all, they were enslaved to pharaoh in Egypt, being thrown into a fiery furnace, persecuted and are still subjects of Caesar at the time. Well, that’s what I would have said to them. Thank the Lord that Jesus has patience, because thinking that way would get the Jews hopes up of being free of earthly government. Jesus says the real way of his purpose of him coming into the world, to free us of sin.
I feel like today’s scripture holds a great sense of power. The wording used may be slightly confusing but it’s to be mutually understood that it’s to show the through only the Son Of Man can you survive and the Son Of Man is with you. People were saved. People are still saved. This is how we truly need to live. In union with Jesus Christ. That is how we attain a true happiness.
Jesus tells us today that He is the Messiah that came to save us. However, we can only be saved if we believe in Him and believe that He can save us.
In today’s scripture I learned that a little bit of people aren’t believing in Jesus because they are worried about other stuff more than Jesus. I can apply this to my life by not letting the devil tempt me in bad stuff and doing my best praying every day!
In this scripture it is telling us to follow God’s will and his works. We always have to be praising God and spreading the joy of the gospel. We shall not turn away from his even though it gets hard. Jesus sacrificed his life to us so we should return the favor and sacrifice. Sinning is like killing Jesus every time we sin we strike him, so we need to turn away from the devil and turn to God.
This teaches me that I need to just keep believing and let God do what he believes is right.
its saying if we listen to God and obey him he will take us away from sin and temptation.
