Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.

The scribes and Pharisees said to Jesus,
“The disciples of John the Baptist fast often and offer prayers, and the disciples of the Pharisees do the same;
but yours eat and drink.”
Jesus answered them, “Can you make the wedding guests fast while the bridegroom is with them?
But the days will come, and when the bridegroom is taken away from them, then they will fast in those days.”
And he also told them a parable.
“No one tears a piece from a new cloak to patch an old one.
Otherwise, he will tear the new
and the piece from it will not match the old cloak.
Likewise, no one pours new wine into old wineskins.
Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins,
and it will be spilled, and the skins will be ruined.
Rather, new wine must be poured into fresh wineskins.
And no one who has been drinking old wine desires new,
for he says, ‘The old is good.’”  Lk 5:33-39

Jesus is the wedding of heaven and earth, the marriage of divinity and humanity; he is the bridegroom and the Church is the bride. In him, the most intimate union is achieved between God and the world.”  -Archbishop Barron daily meditations

The divine became human so the human could become divine.  Today, take time to reflect on the Passion of Christ at Mass, in the stations of the cross, in silence at adoration or in a quiet church.  Without Christ, nothing is possible or has purpose.  Give Him His due by spending time with Him in His suffering.  Our sins caused this suffering, the least we can do is pause today and take time to be with Christ in a very intimate intentional way.

So what is the answer to a fulfilling spiritual life or experience?  Total submission, complete vulnerability, total confidence in God and not self, and an open heart and mind to the grace the Christ wants to give you so you can be transformed and be holy.  Enjoy the ride!

Today’s challenge: Allow the Divine to make you holy through the Mass, Stations of the Cross, or silent prayer, then go spread the Good News to all you meet!
