Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.
Asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come,
Jesus said in reply,
“The coming of the Kingdom of God cannot be observed,
and no one will announce, ‘Look, here it is,’ or, ‘There it is.’
For behold, the Kingdom of God is among you.”
Then he said to his disciples,
“The days will come when you will long to see
one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it.
There will be those who will say to you,
‘Look, there he is,’ or ‘Look, here he is.’
Do not go off, do not run in pursuit.
For just as lightning flashes
and lights up the sky from one side to the other,
so will the Son of Man be in his day.
But first he must suffer greatly and be rejected by this generation.” LK 17:20-25
Jesus answers a question today that is always a heavy topic, when will God’s Kingdom come. Jesus answers, “For behold, the Kingdom of God is among you.” He also remarks, “But first he must suffer greatly and be rejected by this generation.” Finally, in MT 20:28 Jesus says, “Lo, I am with you always to the end of the age.” What does this mean? We can live our lives thinking about God in two ways. One, He is an old man really far away sitting on a cloud (not personal or present). Or two, which is what Jesus is teaching us today. He is present right now (Jesus speaking right to the Pharisees) and he promises He will be with us always. God is everywhere all of the time.
How do I know? The Eucharist, the Blessed Sacrament, the Holy Spirit in all baptized people guiding the Church and us individually, in the sunrise and sunset, the mountains and oceans, the stars, moon, and sun. Most importantly, because He said so and I believe and trust Him. Jesus said He must suffer greatly predicting His passion. The Catholic Church had the end of the world pegged a long time ago. The world ended when Jesus died on the cross and resurrected conquering sin and death. We no longer have to live with Original Sin, the gates of heaven are open, we have the Holy Spirit in us, we have God’s grace in the sacraments that Jesus set up while on earth, we have the Eucharist and confession, prayer, as we wait for the Second Coming. We are living in the end times with the power and opportunity to be holy each day. It lies within us. Take time to sit in silence and listen!
Today’s challenge: Take time to pray and think about God not far away but right here with us always, it makes a huge difference in the way we view things and live our life! God is with us, wow! If you can wrap your mind around God’s true presence at Mass and in the Blessed Sacrament, you will be at peace and never want to leave.
Be a servant, become a saint!

This shows us that Jesus could come at any time so we need to be ready and always stay holy because if we’re not holy when he comes we might not go to heaven.
In today’s gospel, Jesus tells us that nobody will announce when the Kingdom of God is here, so we must be ready. God can come again any time and we have to be prepared for when He does. I can apply this to my life by going to confession often.
I think the scripture is saying always be ready for the coming of God. We don’t know when God will come or how He will come so we always have to be in a state of grace and have a good relationship with God. We will never be able to predict when God will come no matter how advanced science gets or anything like that. This also shows how powerful God truly is because He can return to earth whenever He wants and no one can stop Him.
I think this is trying to tell us how we can enter the kingdom of Heaven through Jesus, because of what he did for us. We have the Mass, with the Eucharist that can help us purify our souls to prepare ourselves for eternal life with him.
What I get from this scripture is when Jesus said that “he must suffer and get rejected by his generation” He is talking about how He will die. Also for us to realize whats happening when He comes back we have to die from our sins and reject Satan and all of his trick. Once we “die” away from our sin then we will start to see what God is planning for us and what He wants us to do for Him.
think God is telling us that We can’t rush into things we have to be patient and wait. Our time will come when Jesus wants us to go be with him but until then we our on this earth. For the time that we are here we need to live like Christ with his words and actions.
In the gospel, Jesus talked about the kingdom of God. Everyone wants to go to heaven, but we need to earn it. People think that they can just go to Mass and be entered into heaven, but that’s not what God wants you to do. God wants you to be a good and holy person so you can be entered in to heaven. You need to do good things in your life to be able to go into heaven. It’s also good to go to Mass and be a good and holy human.
I think God is saying that even if you are rejected from all the clubs he will welcome you. he will bring you into his house and care for you. The Reason God does this because everyone belongs to his club. He will allow you to be one of his people and bring you into heaven.
It is saying that you need to let your life happen, you have to let things go if they are making you a worse human. What God wants is for you to have some strength in controlling your life with your actions, but we know that we aren’t always the best, we make mistakes, we say something we shouldn’t have, we’ve all done this. God wants you to control yourself and do what is right. Being with God is right He wants us to persue the good in our life (Him) and be happy with His hand reaching out to you.
All I can say is to just be Christ-Like. Jesus’ Second Coming is unknown, but we need to be aware of it. Until then, we need to follow the Ten Commandments, or at least the best that we can, so we can be with God for Eternity when we die.
i think this gospel is saying that when you pray the goal is to feel the presence of god but sometimes you cant and that’s okay. Every day we try to get closer to God and we want to know and think he’s always there and within us. I think another part of it is saying that you never know whats coming for you in a good way, so once you get or receive something be grateful and don’t take anything for granted.
Jesus is telling us to be firm in our faith with Him and to not let other people change you. He is telling us to be ready for the day when Jesus comes back to Earth so we will be be able to go to Heaven. He tells us to not let the generation take you apart either by peer pressure or just doing what’s popular that might be a sin. He wants us to not give up in Him and to continue to strive to be able to go into Heaven.
The biggest question that comes to minds is “when will the kingdom of God come?” He answers that today. He doesn’t say “oh here it will be in 7 years,” or “There it is, is it near.” No. He says “For behold, the Kingdom of God is among you.” Then he goes to his disciples and does the same thing but with The Son of Man. Himself. Where do we see God? As a man sitting in the clouds all-mighty and powerful? Or in our hearts, in the Eucharist, in the sacraments. He isn’t just watching. God is constantly interacting with us. We just need to see it. That means to listen to what he has to say. So sit silently and listen to him speak to you. Jesus is everywhere. Be there with him.
We are told that Jesus is present with us and to watch and be patient for the kingdom of God.
This is a very interesting topic of Jesus’s teachings. “When will the kingdom of God come?” This is something that people have always wondered for thousands of years, and I’m sure many of us wonder that today. If you think about it though, (Not to say the coming of the kingdom isn’t a great thing) we really shouldn’t be wondering when it will come, but we should be preparing for when it does. In fact, some of us might even hope that it doesn’t come too soon, as we need plenty of time to prepare out hearts for God and the coming of his kingdom. I know that I personally would want it to hold off long enough for me to be ready and willing to meet God. Jesus also says that the Kingdom is among us. He may be referring to the amazing, selfless things that people do every day! There will always be people like that who will be selfless among us, acting as if they may have come down straight from heaven.
Jesus is telling us that both the Son of God and the Kingdom of Heaven will not stand out like a neon sign. We will always be tested and tempted into other directions. True faith is coming back to the path of God no matter how many times you fall off.
When the people had asked Jesus when The Kingdom of God is coming. Jesus said that pretty much said that there is no way you would be able to find it just by walking (or for us now is driving). Jesus said that The Kingdom of God is among us. You can’t see The Kingdom of God with your own eyes either.
“…but first he must suffer greatly and be rejected by this generation.” Does he mean the generation of that time… or this very generation? In this time, isn’t God being persecuted by His own people?
Maybe we are looking for Him in the wrong places. We look for him in a Church, but isn’t He among his own people? Isn’t He present in our everyday lives, even when we least expect it? Isn’t He watching over His sheep? Stay awake, for you know not the hour or the time the Lord will come
What sticks out to me is that Jesus says that other people will say that they are the messiah. It confuses me. Why would anyone lie about something like that? They know they can’t do the things that the messiah needs to do. They can only let people down. And it’s because some people will do anything to be great or famous. And that’s pretty weird.
It is saying that Jesus will come again eventually, and we must believe this is true and have faith, though some people won’t.
There are many people that may say fake things about God. We should remember that not everything we see and hear is true. Sure, it may be tempting to go with the crowd, but we need to reject temptation.
Jesus is present everywhere. He is in everyone. That’s why we should love each other. In this scripture passage Jesus is basically foreshadowing his second coming. He will come and will be rejected. We need to be ready and know that Jesus is coming.
something that sticks out to me is that it says Jesus is always with at anytime and any place and in multiply places which i think is something that is just amazing and something and this Scripture is like talking about how we should just put all of our trust in Jesus Christ no matter what and it kinda talking about how we should just trust Jesus/God no matter what.
It says that Jesus is waiting for us to come to His Kingdom of God, and for Him to see us rejected him by the new generation.
In Today’s Gospel Jesus says “The coming of the Kingdom of God cannot be observed” We don’t know when God will come back to earth or when are time is but, we also cant see God. Believing in God means to always trust and know that he is there no matter what.
The scripture is trying to say that Jesus will come at any time and we don’t know when he will appear to us and we are all waiting for the moment for him to come and see us.
What really stuck out to me was when Jesus said, “The kingdom of God is among you”. This helped me realize that we aren’t meant for this world, but that we’re meant to return to The Father in heaven.
In this Gospel God is talking about how he wants everyone to go to Heaven and rejoice with Him. We have to be ready in our hearts to meet God. When the time comes we will be very excited and mad for all the sins we put on his Son. But God will always forgive us.
I think the scripture is telling us that when the time comes he wants us to be ready for anything and be ready for Him to come we must be patient and the time will come.
In the scripture Jesus says,”For behold, the Kingdom of God is among you.” That’s just crazy to think abut because, yes the Kingdom is really there. Heaven is real! And it is among us and we shouldn’t be afraid of it. We shouldn’t be afraid of dying either, because we should know were we will go. To heaven.
The kingdom of God I not a specific place but it is every were that god is he is in side every ones heart you just need to look closer to see god in people and things.
What I think this passage is talking about is that we can’t see the kingdom of Heaven coming down on us. We can’t believe in everything that people say about when he will come to us. We have to wait for him to come to us and we need to want him to come to us.
This scripture means that the lord is always going to be with us no matter what.
“God is everywhere all the time”. That is what stuck out to me. God knows what you are saying, seeing, feeling, and thinking. He knows when you do bad things. He knows when you do good things. There is nothing you can keep from Him.
Jesus says,”For behold, the Kingdom of God is among you.” That’s crazy to think about because yes, the Kingdom of God is among us. And we shouldn’t be afraid of it, we should be afraid of dying either. We should be happy that we have Jesus after we die and we want to be with him for eternity.
This scripture is saying we should trust in God and stay holy.
“God is everywhere all the time”. That is what stuck out to me. He knows what you and saying, seeing, or thinking. There is nothing you can keep from him. He knows everything, you can’t keep anything from him. He knows when you are good or bad.
We need to just believe that Heaven exists, because God has promised us it and He will fufill his promises. He doesn’t want us to run away from the faith because we simply don’t want to believe.
We don’t know when the end will come, because we cannot time it. God deals out when the end will come, not us.
“The coming of the Kingdom of God cannot be observed” We don’t know when the Kingdom of God will arrive. We can speculate and guess, but there is no way to know for sure. Since we know this is true, we need to live everyday like Jesus is coming. We need to accept that sin is wrong and turn to the light(God) so that in the hour of his coming, we can be saved.
“The days will come when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it. you will not see it. that is a powerful sentence. we will not see it because we are not worthy… yet we will become worthy with gods help.
what this is telling me is that jesus will eventually return and fuflill another generation and we should not ignore him for when he comes to save us once again. its also saying we should not turn away from God when he arrives again.
I think this scripture is trying to tell us that when our time comes to be with God is all dependent on what Jesus wants. We do not decide when we die or go to Heaven. We have to be patient and try to build our relationship with God as much as we can, so we are ready to be with him. We also need to go to confession a lot so we can go to Heaven faster once our time comes.
In today’s passage, I think it is trying to tell us that we do not know when the Kingdom of God will come, so we always need to be ready. We believe that we need to wait for Jesus to come to us. When He is ready, we do not need to be afraid. We should know that even if we make mistakes, God will still forgive us and love us.
I think this scripture passage is telling us that we got to be patient for the second coming of Jesus and waiting to get to heaven.
Jesus answers a question, “For behold, the Kingdom of God is among you.” I love this saying because you never know when Jesus is telling you that it’s your time. Whenever He is ready He will let you in the Kingdom of God. God loves us and He forgives us when we sin. If we keep praying to God someday we will be let into heaven. The real dream is being in religion class and reading the holy scriptures. Religion Class is the best! Especially when you connect with God.
We think of God as being in heaven or being in a church but He is everywhere, God is in everyone. We need to treat everyone as if they are God, because they are.
Jesus is always around us. Even when we can’t see Him, He is there. He will be there to judge us as we reach the gates of heaven. God knows us because He is always around us. Jesus is also telling us that heaven is real.
What I heard from this passage is that the Kingdom of God will come whenever. We will not see it coming because we can’t see it. It is a spirit place. When God comes we will see it in our human bodies because God is good.
We need to know that God is right here with us. If we know that he is here then we can know that he will help us get to Heaven. He is right here, and that is amazing.
I think that this scripture is telling us that God is letting us choose, It Is also telling us that we need to be ready for God to come back to Earth and to not wait to talk with God. Dont Be afraid!
Jesus says the kingdom of God cannot be observed. He says no one will announce it. This means we can’t control our death or when the end of time is. That is all up to God. We just have to trust in him, and that He will do what He promises. We must listen in faith, and strive to live a life of a good Christian Catholic.
This scripture is telling us to be prepared for the time when Jesus himself comes to us. He wants us to be ready for him, to listen to him and prepare ourselves for heaven.
This piece of Scripture is saying that God is everywhere. He is in everything since he made everything. God made nature, we can feel him in nature. God is in us, he made us. We must be ready for the Kingdom of heaven, since it can come at any time. God has no time, so therefore there is no time where we can pinpoint the time where we enter the Kingdom of Heaven. We must be ready.
I think today’s gospel says that you should always be ready for judgement day. But sometimes we sin so try to do your best.
Today’s scripture is telling us that God is everywhere and in everyone. We have to be prepared for the second coming of Christ because it could be at ANY moment in time. We cannot control when he comes again so we have to prepare now.
Today’s gospel tells us to be ready for the Kingdom of God. You never know when it will be Judgment day for you, so up until then, we should live our lives in holiness, and to wait patiently for God.
We have a choice and that is what is being said in today’s Gospel. We have a choice if we want to go to Heaven, we can take up our sacrifices, go to sunday Mass, do all the things God asks of us, or we can be lazy and choose the other path. “For behold, the kingdom of God is before you.” We have it right in front of us we just have to do the task and choose which path we want to follow.
This scripture reflection is telling me that i need to be patient for when we get to heaven. We dont just get to go there all of a sudden. We need to wait. It will be worth it. It will be all that we have ever imagined it will be.
I think God is telling us that even if people reject us that He will always welcome us. Even if we do something really bad he will welcome us into the state of grace and happiness. So I need to remember that if I get rejected by anyone, if that is going to a party or what, I can go to God and he will welcome me into prayer.
The part that stood out to me the most was when it said “for just as lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other,
so will the Son of Man be in his day.” You don’t know when or where the Second Coming will happen. It will be instantaneous. That’s why you have to be ready for it to happen at any time.
Today Jesus is telling us not to beileve the people who predict when the son of man will return. We as human beings cannot ever imagine when Jesus will return to us, only the holy trinity knows the day and the hour which he will return. Do not follow the people who claim to know the time and place in which Jesus will return, they are wrong, dead wrong. Nobody could ever know, how could they, they are not God, they cannot begin to understand God, it;s blasphemy. We just need to trust that whenever Jesus returns to us, we will be ready. At the end of time, it’s thy will be done or my will be done, and lets hope that we are the former
The scripture today is telling me that we should always be ready for the coming of God. If we want to be ready for God, that means we all need to be better people and try to sin less, we should all try to follow in God’s footsteps. God will do anything for us and we should do anything for him.
What I am understanding from the Gospel today is if you want to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, you have to do what it takes. Take the path of God. You are the one who controls if you want to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus doesn’t decide as much as we do. And by our sins, we make it harder for Him to decide. But if we go to confession, it will make His judging even easier.
I think it means that God is always with us. No matter what we do to try to escape Him He will always stay with us and even if we commit the worst of sins He won’t let us go.
Today’s reading is a Godcidence. It talks about how the Son of Man will be like lightning. Today I served at a funeral and father Jarrod preached about lightning. Lightning flashes quickly but leaves a trail of light behind. Our lives or quick and short. But all of our actions even the smallest ones will have a lasting impact on the world.
I think the reading is saying that there’s so many chances that the Lord gives us and we just ignore them. Like if you stay ready you don’t have to get ready, or be ready for when the Lord is calling. Listen to him and ask for knowledge and understanding.
“The days will come when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it.” This line really stuck out to me today, “you will long to see the days of the son of man” and I kinda thought, well that is phrased kinda weird why did he say it like that? But I think what he means to say is the you will want to just be able to see me, just open your eyes and I’m standing outside your door, and you can hope and hope that it will, happen but it wot, because I have already given you the gifts you need to believe in me, in your own way. Adoration, prayer, Eucharist, fasting, spiritual hunger, virtues, gifts, fruits, the list goes on and on, but we still find this strange need to SEE him, even though he has give us all we need to be close to him, to know love and serve him.
When I see this scripture I am immediately reminded of the Nicene Creed. “and His kingdom will have no end.” This scripture talks about his kingdom and when it will come. It’s not something you can point out in the sky like an airplane, it is something that is among us and/or waiting for us. His kingdom will have no end.
In this Gospel Jesus tells us that nobody knows when he will return. We the people need to be ready for that moment and go to confession and get the sins off our soul so when that day comes we can make it to Heaven with no Purgatory.
This scripture is about when Jesus is coming. You don’t know when Jesus is coming nobody does. Be prepared for when Jesus comes, he comes when you least expect it.
One phrase that stuck out to me was, “just as lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to another, so will the Son of Man on this day.” This stuck out to me because sometimes when someone tells me, “did you see that flash,” and I didn’t, just is the same with God. You have to be looking up at the sky, to see the flash, so you have to be looking towards the path of God. God works in ways that we can’t understand, just like when we look at a lightning flash and wonder, “why is it in that shape,” or “why does it look like that?” The same is with God.
This scripture is telling me that Heaven can’t be identified by humans, and that we don’t know what it’s like. But we believe that it’s amazing there, and that you can live eternally with God. It’s the Faith that we believe, we have to be faithful and repent to God so that maybe one day we can find out what’s in Heaven.
Being with God is right He wants us to peruse the good in our life and be happy with His hand reaching out to you.
God can come at any time so we must always be ready for his second coming. So we must make sure we are always in the holy state of mind and always be reverent when its time for mass or prayer. We must try to go to confession as much as we our souls don’t have any serious sin.
Jesus is every where and we do not even notice. We do not pay enough attention to him when all we should be paying attention to is him. He deserves all of our attention but we don’t give it to him because we do not care enough about him. We should love Jesus with everything we have and everything we can give.
Jesus is telling us always to keep our eyes open to be holy and ready for Jesus Christ if he comes back. He says that the day will come and I think he’s trying to tell us that we need to be ready for the Kingdom of Heaven
I think today’s gospel is saying to believe in God and stay holy. Be ready for judgement day.
I think that God is saying that we can always go to Him for anything if we need it. I think He is saying that He will always welcome us into His Kingdom and will love us unconditionally. We should always go to Him if we ever need anything.
I think today’s gospel is telling us we have be always ready for God and to be ready for Jesus. For they are always with us during prayer, our close encounter with him.
Today’s Gospel is telling us that He wants us to be prepared for when our time has arrived. He wants us to be prepared for Him. We have to be patient for when that time does come.
I think the scripture passage today is trying to tell us that we don’t need to die to get to the kingdom of heaven. It is down here on earth through the mass and if we want to enter the Kingdom of God we need to go to church.
I think that the Gospel is saying that Jesus is always watching you and looking after you. And that you don’t live forever so you will eventually be on your way to haven or hell. So you should always be doing the right things so that when you are on your way to haven or hell then you will be directed tward haven and not hell. I can apply this to my life by not sinning as much as i do and actually do the right things and not the wrong things.
I says that the kingdom of God is at hand, Jesus it telling us that heaven is already here with us so we can go to heaven if we are good in the kingdom of God.
The gospel today is telling me be ready for when God comes back to judge the living and dead. And to don’t be afraid to spread the word of the Kingdom of God.
The Kingdom of God is among you. Jesus says today that the Kingdom of God is already among us. I think this means that Jesus has always been with us from the beginning. But it says that he must suffer greatly and be rejected by his own generation. this is at the Crucifixion but it still happens today. Even though in present day this isn’t his generation he is still turned away and persecuted by many. This shows that you have to accept the Kingdom for it really to be there for you. It has always been here all we need to do is just listen, respond, and believe to get into it.
I think this scripture is saying that God isnt just present in Holy things such as a cross or a Church. He is really everywhere in our everyday lives.
To me this means that the Lord Jesus Christ is upon us and is always going to be around us. If you are ever scared of something or need something than God the Father will be with you to help you out. I have definitely had times in my life where I needed Jesus in my life. When I ask for him to help me he always helps me the most possible and I get through the stressful thing I just went through.
I today’s Gospel Jesus talks about the Kingdom of God. A part that I like is when he says that you cannot run after it. I think that because we can’t run after it some people might just give up on waiting for it all together. But that isn’t the case. I think that the Kingdom of God is already upon us and that is you focus on the little, happy, things that go on in your life instead of rushing to get to the big picture, you can see a little more of God’s kingdom.
I think that this reading is trying to tell us that you should always be ready for when Jesus comes again. Jesus tells us that we do not know the hour when the Lord is coming so we have to stay awake and be ready. We should never have the mindset of thinking that since he hasn’t come yet in the two thousand years since his life, that he isn’t going to come in our lifetime either. God is outside of time which means that this huge span between Jesus’s death and today is not the same as two thousand years in God’s time. Another mindset that we should avoid having is thinking that since we don’t know when Jesus is coming again, we need to be really nervous about it and stress ourselves out a lot. We have to stay in between the two mentalities to make sure that we live a good Christian life and also stay joyful and happy in our lives because that is what Jesus wants for us.
I think the Scripture is saying that when it’s our to be with God, we did to accept that and not fight it. We need to know that dying is apart of life and we need to know that it’s a good thing because we’ll with God and have eternal life. We need to do good things and not go down the wrong path even though it’s pretty tempting. We need to believe will always be their to help us do the right thing. We just need to have faith in Him.
This Scripture reminds me that the Kingdom of God is waiting for us. We can get there so easily, all we have to do is stay true to God. God has given us everything that we could possibly need to get to Heaven, and now it’s our job to use those great gifts to become closer to Him. When I read the words, “The coming of the Kingdom of God cannot be observed,
and no one will announce, ‘Look, here it is,’ or, ‘There it is,'” I thought of how blind and oblivious we are to how generous God is to us. He loves us so much that He would do anything for us, to the point of coming down from Heaven to show us how to live our lives. He sacrificed His only Son out of his love for us. Jesus is the way to get to the Kingdom of God, and we can’t keep using the excuses trying to justify the fact that we aren’t following in Jesus’s example.
Ok, he is literally talking about how he’s gonna die and how people are gonna hate him. He also sort of talks about the second coming with him returning. Anyway, I think what he is trying to say is that when he returns, don’t go running for him.
if jesus dint save us we hade sin on us for the rest of the live
We can’t force Jesus to do what we want him to do. We can’t chase after him. Instead, we need to let him come to us. We need to wait our turn. Not everything is about us. Someone else may be in greater need of God’s help. We shouldn’t force Jesus to put us first, when someone else may have a greater need. We can’t force the Kingdom of God to show itself to us. We can’t force the devil to stop messing with us. We need to let God’s plan for us happen, whenever it happens, without forcing it to come sooner.
I think this is saying that we need to be patient to be lifted up to the kingdom of Heaven and not act like oh I’ll never go to Heaven or something like that but you can if you try and worship God and praise him and obey the commandments and only beleive in him, no one else.
What I think this gospel is trying to tell us is that God is telling us to prepare for his coming. I think he is going to come when the world is very bad. I think we need to prepare our hearts and our souls for his coming. We always need to have our hearts and souls ready for his coming.
The scripture means to me that Jesus and the kingdom of God are waiting rather than having us chase after us it is await. We must also wait for our time to be with God and accept it rather than turn it down or ignore it.
I think the gospel is saying we should be prepared for the coming of Jesus.I think it’s also saying we should be patient for it because we know it’s coming. We all wait in anticipation for God.
I feel like this is telling me that everyone want to get to Heaven. But, you have to be willing to sacrifice and earn your way to Heaven. I also think he is telling us that we can’t rush into different things, we have to wait and try to be patient. This is hard but, Jesus went through harder. He will always be with us through the hard. Our time will surely come when Jesus wants us to be with him in Heaven but until that time we our on this blessed Earth and need to make the best of it. For the time that we have here on Earth we need to live the best version of Christ with his actions and words.
In this scripture Jesus is saying that we can not just heaven. But we will see it when we meet again. Heaven does not have a location on earth.
It is also talking about how the Kingdom of God is right in front of us but we are just to blind to see it. Just like Jesus was alive and was preaching to everyone but they were just to blind and self conscious to see that he was actually the Lord God.
I think the scripture is that the kingdom of God is waiting for us. That we need to prepare our hearts, mind, and soul. Also that we need run light lighting and open our hearts to him. Finally he wants us to be his servant and spread the good news.
When Jesus says we You cannot see the kingdom of God for the kingdom of God is among us By which he means is that when we received the Eucharist and go to church That is not even 0.001 of heaven. Heaven is far greater and we need to go to church more.
I think the scripture is trying to say is God isn’t just with the holy places or holy things. God is everywhere. So we should always have a chance to talk to God. And to grow a relationship so when he comes again. It won’t be a new thing to us we will be ready and prepared to go to heaven and be with God for eternity.
What this scripture is telling me is that we have to we have to want to see the Lord when he is right in front of us. If we are not truly wanting to see the Lord in our presence then we are not worthy. We have to want to see God in our presence and want him to be with us. We will get through everything in life if we believe in God. He will help us through all of our struggles. But we will have to want to see him and want to believe in him. He will help us get to Heaven if we truly want to.
Some of us think that God is just in heaven watching us only sometimes because he has to watch everyone in the world. Well if you think this then you are WRONG! Jesus is in everyone and everywhere all the time. Jesus is in you,me and even the people that don´t believe. He is in everyone room in this school and outside of school watching you and loving you.
I think the scripture is trying to say is God isn’t just with the holy places or holy things. God is everywhere. So we should always have a chance to talk to God. And to grow a relationship so when he comes again. It won’t be a new thing to us we will be ready and prepared to go to heaven and be with God for eternity.
It is talking about how when Jesus was born and started preaching they were all just to blind to see that the Messiah that they were waiting for was preaching in front of them. We also are to blind and self conscious to see that the Kingdom Of God is right in front of us.
Jesus is trying to tell us that Heaven is right in front of you, but you need to open up your eyes to see! Even if physically your eyes are open and you can see is not the same as spiritually being able to see. Humans are born with a condition of sin, so you might be wondering when your new video game is going to come in, but not when God is going to come down. Why is that? Well the answer is humans who are not opening there eyes up to Jesus don’t even recognize that he is with them, so they put other things first. You would think that if your eyes are not open to Jesus or in other words you sin a lot you would think you would be more determined. God will come when he thinks it is the right time, but we have to prepare. Again we prepare for soccer games or track tournaments. Why do we not always prepare for God like we do other things? The answer is simple, since we do not see God we think “Oh well who knows when he is coming I don’t have to prepare.” But when we know we have a game we prepare because we will be in the moment. Bottom line: Open your eyes to God and he will open his self up for you.
I think the scripture is telling to believe in heaven. We can´t just see it without believing it. When I say ¨believe¨ I mean believing in our faith. If we believe in our faith we can see heaven.
This Scripture passage is telling me to be ready for when God comes, whenever that may be. We will never know when God is planning on coming back for His second coming. So we need to spend this time waiting, praying, worshiping, and making sure we don’t let other things get in the way of Jesus.
In this Scripture passage, Jesus tells us that we will not know the day nor the hour at which the Kingdom of God will come. Neither will we know when it’s our time to go home. We must always be prepared for when Christ will descend upon earth and raise us up.
We all have to prepare for God’s coming. It will not be a big celebration and a sign saying “Look he is here!” You have to be ready and listen to God.
