Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross
Brothers and sisters:
Christ Jesus, though he was in the form of God,
did not regard equality with God something to be grasped.
Rather, he emptied himself,
taking the form of a slave,
coming in human likeness;
and found human in appearance,
he humbled himself,
becoming obedient to death,
even death on a cross.
Because of this, God greatly exalted him
and bestowed on him the name
that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus
every knee should bend,
of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue confess that
Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father. Phil 2:6-11
Jesus said to Nicodemus:
“No one has gone up to heaven
except the one who has come down from heaven, the Son of Man. And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert,
so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.”
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him might not perish
but might have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. JN 3:13-17
Today is not the feast of the Exaltation of Greg Goertz. It is not the feast of the Exaltation of our cell phone or the Internet. It is not the Feast of the Exaltation of wealth and power, honor, and pleasure (4 things St. Thomas Aquinas said Jesus nailed to the cross that we must stop seeking to enter the Kingdom). It is not the feast of the Exaltation of the best looks and popularity. It is not the Feast of the Exaltation of video games. It is not the feast of the Exaltation of work.
My pride and stubbornness get in the way of allowing God to love me. He has done everything He can by giving us His only Son through death on a cross and continues to sacrifice by staying hidden in bread and wine until He returns. He is with us in prayer, ““For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.” MT 18:20 Christ died not to condemn us but save us. Save us from what? Our fallen human nature, the devil, pride, earthly possessions, envy, disordered passions so that we may have hope, peace, joy, love, grace and eternal life.
When we do not give ourselves totally and completely to the One who created us and has given us EVERYTHING we do not exalt the cross. When we do not offer our daily crosses and suffering up to Christ we do not exalt the cross. When we do not allow God to love us and forgive us, we do not exalt the cross. When we give into our human desires and do not fight the temptations of the Devil, we do not exalt the cross. When we worship our cell phones, electronics, big homes, fancy cars, our looks, popularity, we do not exalt the cross.
When we get caught up in ourselves and fail to live our vocation (which is to die to self and be in service of the other), we fail to exalt the cross. When we do not love God, others, and ourselves, we fail to exalt the cross. When we fail to get down on our knees and look up at the crucifix each morning we rise and give thanks to God for what He has done for us, we fail to exalt the cross. When we fail to pray and visit Jesus who is waiting patiently for us in the tabernacles of our Churches and Adoration chapels, we fail to exalt the cross. This leads to misery and a lot of confusion. I know I’ve lived it. I have failed at each one of these.
I need a Savior because I don’t know what love is otherwise and I can’t be with the One who loves me the most. ”Humble thyself in the sight of the Lord.” Pray before a crucifix anywhere in silence and get to know your Savior.
Today’s challenge: Pray before a crucifix anywhere and get to know your Savior. Share the love He gives you with others.
Be a servant, become a saint!
#Christian YOLO
This is showing us that Jesus would do anything to show that he loves us.
I think this is trying to say that we are not completely giving ourselves up to God the way we should be. Jesus is the one sole reason why we exist, and why we are the way we are. We need to give all of our love up to him. We should replace our distractions with Jesus’s love and grace.
What this gospel is telling me today is that in order to get to heaven you have to give up pretty much everything. Your health, Your religion, your freedom, and give it all to God. The cross shows me that Jesus is here for us and died for us. He gave up everything for us just like how we should do the same for them.
The cross of Christ means is a spiritual item to me that helps me focus on God. It also shows me what God did for us on the cross and the story of the cross. Because if God din’t die on the cross we would not be able to go to Heaven with Him. It shows me how merciful God is so when I fall into sin God can help me get out of it.
The cross means Jesus’s suffering. It means what Jesus sacrificed for us and what he did for us. Jesus Became Human so he could be closer to us. He loved us so much that he lowered himself to are level.
In today’s gospel, God empties himself and becomes Man to come die on a cross for us. Jesus sacrificed His life for us to open the gates of heaven up. I am Catholic because I want to make it to heaven and be with God.
This gospel taught me that even though I’m going through something I can never turn a way from God. I should instead turn towards him and ask for guidance to the right path and ask his for help. Sometimes it’s very hard for one to pray to God when they’re not in the right state of mind, but it’s the right thing to do.
Being catholic is amazing because we believe in a person that we know is always there for us and will always save us. And knowing that he is coming back is even better. Our time on earth we need to live like Christ so we can go be happy with him at the end of time.
When I see Jesus on the cross, I like to think about how very much He loves us. Someone has to love you with all of their heart to die for you, that is how we know that He loves us, also we get the chance to receive Him in Communion.
The cross to me symbolizes the greatest love known to man. “He emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness; and found human in appearance, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross.” Jesus could heal the sick, raise the dead, and turn water into wine. There is no nail strong enough to keep him on that cross. Jesus’ love for us was the only thing that kept him up. His love was so strong that he died for us. We’ve been hearing that statement since kindergarten. It sounds almost normal, routine. But if you stop and think about it, you will realize the amazing thing that it really is.
I can apply this to my life by putting God first instead of my phone or my TV. God is willing to do anything for us and we push it to the side and act like he isn’t here.
It is saying that we need to follow the Word of God because He is almighty and powerful and the King of the People. He needs to be respected and not betrayed. He is the most loving person you could ever know and He should be shared to the world.
This is a great passage. it shows us just how much God will give for us, and helps us answer that one question: “Why are we catholic?”
The answer is that Christ gave himself up, lowered himself to human form, and died so that we could have another chance.
Jesus came into this world in a humble way, with being at a human level. We should take after Jesus with being humble and willing to follow God no matter where he takes us.
What i got from this scripture was the God put everything and everyone before himself. What the cross means to me is that God is present with us when we look at it during prayer or anything religious. God comes alive to talk back to us.
God gave us all he had and he still is giving. Yet we don’t understand that. We think oh ya Jesus died for us on the cross but it has no meaning in us but he died for our sins he had to suffer for us and that is what i see from this that Jesus loves us unconditionally and he will never stop that is what i see in this passage
Why am I Christian? Because this Guy died in the most humiliating and painful way the Romans could think of, and then literally ROSE FROM THE DEAD for ME. He did all of that and said that He was the savior of the world, and I believe Him. Who wouldn’t? Him being the messiah is MORE believable than Him resurrecting Himself. And we have proof that those events happened. People found Roman documents of it. The Romans documented everything that went on in their country. So there’s a logical and a spiritual reason for being Christian. The cross is the sign of our faith and what we stand for. You see a cross and the first thing you think of is Jesus. That’s what the cross is for. To remind everyone of that one man who created the world, and sacrificed Himself for the world.
What does the cross of Christ mean to me?
The cross of Jesus Christ means that Jesus is the one Lord, God and saviour of us all. The cross is there to remind us what Jesus did for us so many years ago and is currently happening everytime we go to church. Jesus saved us from our sin. He did that because he loved us so much he put himself in a situation he could have got out of many, many, many times but he stayed in that situation. He wanted to be in that situation because he loved us that much. He wanted to do that. He didn’t have to, but he did.
The Cross of Christ means salvation and victory for me and for everyone. Jesus did not come to this world to condemn us for our sins, but he came to take away our sins and to forgive us. I should give all my sins to the cross so that I can go to heaven.
God created us, loves us, and cares about us. Jesus suffered, and even died on the cross. Yet we still sin, disobey, and try to turn away from Him. This passage is reminding us that we should exalt the cross, and whole heartedly devote ourselves to God.
Jesus died on the cross for our sins so we could go to heaven. Jesus is taking are sins away so we can go to heaven to see him.
The cross of Christ means that he will always be here with us and he died on that cross for all of us and saved and made all of us to be together.
God is showing us that he walked in our shoes and is telling all of us that he walked up Calvary to save us. He showed his human likeness throw his sacrifices. And that we should give thanks for for he is ours. Him be crucified is out fault. Yet he choose to keep going with his promise, just for us.
The Cross of Christ to me is a sign of strength in our faith. The cross shows how loved we are by Jesus. Because Jesus died for us we can be free. This is why we make the sign of the cross at church and before a meal. Because the cross is powerful in our faith.
What does the cross of Christ mean to you? Some people might think we just look at it and pray to this ¨thing.¨ That is the opposite God died for our sins to save our lives. We as human need to understand that. The cross is not just up there to hang on the cross and fill up the wall space. The Cross of Christ is an amazing gift we have received as sinners, that our savior would die on a cross to show how much he loves us and how bad he want us to follow him until the end. What does the cross of Christ mean to you? Is the cross just a hanging ¨thing¨ on the wall? Or is it a beloved sign to show that Christ our savior loves us?
Jesus did not take advantage of being in the form of God, but he emptied himself. He went forth as a slave, not a ruler or a king. To me, the Cross of Christ means that he died for our sins and that he is here with us every single day. The cross isn’t just that he died for us, but it’s that he didn’t back down from it and he followed Gods command.
What the cross means to me is my catholic faith and that it is a symbol that Jesus loves us so much and that he will die for us so we can be saved. It shows that He would do anything for us. It is also a reminder that I am never alone and when I feel alone that He is always there, even when I forget that He is.
The cross symbolizes Jesus giving his life to us. Even though we ignore Him he still gave his life for us. We couldn’t get to Heaven without Him dying for us. The cross should show us an opportunity to get to Heaven, to be with Jesus. The cross shouldn’t be something to remember Jesus by. It should show us to follow Him.
What the cross of Christ means to me is love. God didn’t have to send Jesus to us. He could’ve abandoned us and let sin devour our souls, but no. He sent Jesus, his only son to save our souls and bring us back to heaven. The cross shows love, it shows the love of God. The love of the one true God, the God that saved us.
The cross of Christ means Savior and Jesus to me. It also means prayer.
The cross of Christ is an amount of all our sins in a single object every time you see a crucifix you that Jesus did that for me our sins are the reason he had to die. We have to bear our own crosses every day no mater if it is small or if it is the worst thing that ever happened to you but no matter what you have to give your suffering up to God and bear your cross alongside him.
The cross to me means to pray and talk with God to have a better prayer life. The cross also reminds me that Jesus died for our sins and to save us.
What the cross of Christ means to me is that he will do anything for us. He will forgive us because we are his sons and daughters, and that he will come to us to help us. We as people need to go to him for forgiveness and he will forgive even though we treat him wrong.
What the Cross of Christ means to me is that the son of god Jesus Christ suffered and died for us. What this scripture meant to me was that God was nailed to a cross cause of all of our sins and that we were supposed to be forgiven.
God gave his only Son to rid us of our sins. For this, we should be thankful, and believe in Him. For me the cross of Christ is showing what Jesus went though for our sins.
the cross to me means peace and like forgiveness like something good that happens that someone acutely cared about us and gives many blessing and Christ to me means our savoir someone who has giving us many blessing and just loves all of us more than anything .
The cross shows that Jesus literally gave up himself. That he gave his own body and blood so we could be happy. It shows me that Jesus was unselfish, because he gave himself up.
The cross reminds me to pray to God. The cross also reminds me he died for our sins.
what the scripture is telling me is that Jesus took the form of a human to die for our sins but its also telling us all the background information of what jesus had suffer through.
The cross of Christ to me mean that we need to take up our sufferings just as Jesus did. We need to learn how to pray and offer our sins, not because we need to, but because he loves us and is willing to help us through our sins.
The cross means to me that we should focus on God all the time. I feel like it is a reminder for us that Jesus is always with us.
The cross of Christ means to me that He died for our sins, and He took everything that burdened us away just for us.
“What does the Cross of Christ mean to me?” The Cross means that we are forgiven of our sins, because it symbolizes that Jesus died for us so we can be forgiven of our sins. It also means that God loves us so much that He sent His only son down for us, because he loves us.
What DOES the cross of Christ mean to me? To me, it is a symbol to show that we have been forgiven and that we are free from death. It is a sign of eternal life and happiness.
The cross of Christ means to me that he took his life on the cross for us to have eternal life. We should be thankful and loving for God, instead of being on our phones all day and almost forgetting about God.
To me, the cross of Christ means that Jesus died on the cross for all of our sins. Jesus suffered by his own choice so that all of us can live and go to heaven.
The cross of Christ is a sacrifice. God takes the form of a human. He becomes the lowest of low. It is symbol of His love for us.
The cross of Crist means to me is that Jesus died for us. He is the reason we are alive right now. He is always thinking us us and is always doing kind deeds for us. I am so glad that He did all of this for us.
The cross of Christ to me means everything. The death Jesus is the reason why we can be forgiven of our sins. He came to save us, and for me that is everything. He died for a bunch of selfish and cruel people which makes no sense! But he did it for us because he loves us. Without his love we wouldn’t be here, in this world right now.
The cross of Christ means to me that we all sin and we are all sinners. No matter what we do to sin we always will. If you believe in God and practice your faith we will go to heaven. No matter want the Satan temps us to do. The cross of Christ also means to me that we are all one and we are all brothers and sisters.
Recall a time when you have been asked for help and the burden of helping that person was just “too much”. Now imagine that being your everyday life, and you love it, You welcome it. You rejoice in it. That is God for us. He gladly takes away our pain and our suffering, and replaces it with joy, trust in Him, love for others, love for ourselves, and He will do it for us whenever we need Him. He sent Jesus, His only Son, to do His will, including having Jesus dying on the cross. That is love beyond comparison. We can never match that, but we can acknowledge that He did that for us, and gladly do whatever we can to please Him and love our neighbors.
The cross means, to me, that my sins are forgiven. When Jesus died on the cross my sins died with Him. But when Jesus resurrected my sins didn’t and they stayed forgiven. Jesus forgave my sins long before I was alive, even the sins that haven’t happened yet in our time.
The cross of Jesus Christ means to me that it is very important. Jesus died for us on the cross because he loves us that is why we are alive. He died on the cross for US, for our sins because he loves us. He died on that cross to come and save us.
The cross of Christ shows me what God did for us. It means a lot to me especially when I am in prayer because I know that he is always present with me.
This scripture is telling me that physical things do not matter when there is Jesus and that we should give up all that we have for him.
The cross is a sign of God’s love for me. It is the punishment but Jesus took for me even though I was never good to him.
Today Jesus is reminding us that we are not condemned by our sins, in fact it is quite the opposite. He is telling us, remember that you are no longer condemned, but saved, I took your sins to die upon a cross, and you are free to live in my love, and live forever with me in Heaven.
What this scripture reflection says to me is that we all should try to start praying more to Jesus. By doing this it will increase our chances of meeting up with God.
The cross means to me that the Lord cares for me so much that he sent his only son to save me from my sins. I think the scripture is also saying that without the Lords love we would not be here today. I am so grateful for what the Lord did for me.
To me, the cross represents unity and Catholicism. It represents the world and Jesus bonded together in the Catholic faith. Jesus died for us on the cross and sacrificed himself for us. The cross is a symbol that reminds me of what Jesus did and that I need to strive to be more prayerful.
To me, The Cross of Christ means, that we are all sinners. Jesus took OUR sins and claimed them as His own so He took our suffering, so we wouldn’t have to suffer. He is so loving and cares about us so much, and yet we do things to hurt Him all the time, whether we mean to or not. We really need to try to see what it is like to carry Jesus’ Cross.
The cross of Christ Jesus means so many things to me. It reminds me that we are all forgiven and that Jesus died for us so that we can live to be forgiven of sins. It also reminds me that I am not alone. Anytime I feel alone, I can just look at a crucifix or a picture of the Holy Cross and remind myself, I am not alone. Everyone can use that method. The main three things that come into my mind whenever I see the Cross are I am not alone, I am forgiven, and I am loved.
The cross shows the sacrifice Jesus made for us. It shows how much he loves us that he died for us. Its the example of how we can learn to be followers of Christ an how we can sacrifice for him. Jesus is also our path to holiness because he died on that cross. Reflecting back to love, we can love others like Jesus did.
I think today’s gospel is saying that just like Jesus took up his cross for us and our sins , we need to do the same and take up our daily burdens and give Jesus our brokenness and take up our cross, our struggles, because in the end just like God we will be rejoicing with God in Heaven.
The cross of Christ means everything to me. Where Jesus died for us, and resurrected. God made himself as a man, Jesus, to help and to teach us. Many of us listened and followed Jesus but there are those who didn’t and accused Jesus of lying, therefore condemning, and killing Jesus. Still, after all of that, God loves and cares for us.
Today is the Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross. Not of me, you, or any object or place. The cross. It’s not about us. It’s about Jesus. How he died for us. Every person should “bow” to Jesus like they would a king. He humbled himself. Jesus became a human, and yet was still God, still divine. He died for us out of love. He suffered. We should offer up our sufferings as a cross. Then we can exalt the cross. If we don’t, we are letting our pride, our fallen human nature to get in the way of our happiness. We must exalt in the cross and offer it up to be happy in Heaven and live eternally with the Lord.
Today is the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. This cross being the one that Jesus died for all of our sins on. This day is the day where we exalt the thing that Jesus died on. Jesus died on this, yet why are we celebrating it. We should never even want to look at it, and keep it 6 feet away from us at all times. Why should we exalt something that brought upon hate and bloodshed and death. We exalt it because this cross, this violent thing, was what Jesus wanted. He loved the cross. He loved it so much he chose it as his place of death. This cross is a symbol for our sins, the dirty, violent, gross sins that we have commited. This dirty, gross cross held up Jesus, the most perfect being to ever grace this lowly, sad world. The unblemished lamb died on the completely blemished alter for us. We should exalt it not because of what it truly is, but what it means for us, and for the world
I think today’s gospel is saying that just like Jesus took up his cross for us and our sins , we need to do the same and take up our daily burdens and give Jesus our brokenness and take up our cross, our struggles, because in the end just like God we will be rejoicing with God in Heaven. We should trust in God and give him our sins because he is the one and only.
I think that today’s Gospel is showing us that anything is possible because if Jesus became human being to die FOR us, then I’m pretty sure we can do nice things each day. They don’t have to be big they just got to be a little thoughtful and just a nice deed. Then you’ll be happy for the rest of eternity in heaven, with God and you’re dead family and some celebrities
I can apply this to my life by putting people or things before myself. I can do this by helping people like opening the door and if someone is in a hurry I can let them go in front of me. I can also do this at home by not watching TV right away or doing something nice for my family.
Jesus is trying to tell us that with power of Jesus we can accomplish anything and that Jesus is referring to Moses and how he turned a stick into a snake
I feel like it is saying that we need to put God before all of our materialistic things, like our phones and our TV and sometimes even our sports. I need to focus on Him more and pray to Him every day and not just when I need something. I think it is saying that we should always think of God and pray to him, basically talk to him everyday even for just a little bit.
Today’s Gospel talks about how Jesus came down from Heaven to be our Savior. He could have had anything in the world and all the riches. Instead He decided to come down to Earth to be poor and and a slave. Jesus didn’t come to condemn us, but to save us. I think we can be more like him by not ridiculing our neighbors when they do something wrong, but instead to help them understand what is right.
I can apply this to my life by making sure God is always first instead of electronics and stuff.
What I got from this is that there is no love greater than the love of Jesus Christ. He let himself be tortured and killed in probably the worst way possible so that we could get to heaven. There is no greater love than that , he is always looking at us with open and loving arms he is just waiting for us to come back to him.
I can apply this my life by putting God first and not tv or my phone so i can listen to him and talk to him.
This Gospel is saying that God sent his son who gave us his sacrifice and died on the cross to save us from our sin. He was different from everybody else. God knew that his son would spread his words and sacrifice himself for us.
In the Gospel today God is saying that in order to go to heaven you need to sacrifice. You need to give up time to pray to Jesus. We also need to give up money to the church to help everyone give up to the one and only God.
To me this is saying that Jesus didn’t come to earth to punish us, but he came down here with us to show us how to live our lives, and showed us how to get to Heaven. Jesus doesn’t have a temper. He doesn’t get mad at us. He forgives everyone. It’s crazy for someone to think that He could have come down from Heaven to get mad at us.
On this day we realize how humble Jesus is. The fact that he came down from heaven and became human, and to go above and beyond and die on the cross in the lowest of low places, just shows how remarkable he is. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.” This phrase sticks out to me because it is saying that God knew the only way to do it was to take up his cross and it makes me want to do the same so I can be with him. We all know what our struggle is but we have to accept that we can’t do it alone and we need to give it to Jesus.
I think that the Gospel is saying that he didn’t just come here to do what ever he came here to die for us and make himself known. He isn’t trying to be cool and popular he just wants us to love him and not be a sinner, he would rather have us be with him than be with Saten.
This passage tells us that Jesus did so much for us and he suffered (became man and got tortured) for us and died on the cross for us and sometimes we don’t realize that he did this action specifically for us and our sins. This can teach us that we need to focus more on God and Jesus than every thing around us like our phones and our Chromebooks and also our video games and we need to spend more time with Jesus.
To me I think that he cross means so much more than just Jesus dying. It means happiness for us and all of the human race to come. If Jesus wouldn’t have come to earth to show us how to live and save us from our sins, then we would be hopelessly wandering around without any idea of how to get to Heaven. I’m sure all of us know that whenever we do not know what to do we are not as happy as when we do. We should all think about how much Jesus’s sacrifice did for us because we could never do anything great without Him.
In today’s gospel it says God became man so he can suffer and die for us on that cross taking the sins away from the world. When i look up at the cross it reminds me of when he died for our sins. Because God loves us he sent his one and only son Jesus Christ. He did the will of the heavenly father.
To me I think that the cross means so much more than just Jesus dying.
The cross to me means the sacrifice and the life that God went thru to give us eternal life in heaven. And how with following God we can have this eternal life.
In today’s Gospel, I learned that taking up the cross in order to become closer to Jesus is the most important thing in life. It’s our option, but I highly suggest we do. In doing this our faith can grow with God, we will have to opportunity to have Eternal Life with God. He was willing to sacrifice his life for us, we can give up something something as well. We can do extraordinary things with the cross, Jesus Christ, in our life.
Today’s reading is about Jesus coming down into the form of the lowest of low, and allowing Himself to be crucified, in the most excrucitating way. It talks about the day when everyone will proclaim the Lord as their God, and bow. When I see the cross, I see the greatest love ever known to mankind. It’s not the worldly kind of love, the thing that we always THINK is love. This is real love. Love that will lift us up, not bring us down. Believe in it!
The cross reminds me that Jesus made a huge sacrifice for us so that we can live. Every time I look at the cross I am reminded that Jesus was crucified, and that he did it all for us.
This means to me that God didn’t send Jesus to find disapproval in the world and us humans, but to actually save us from our sins. God did not send Jesus to shun us for being the way we are, he came to fix us, replenish us.
I think this means that we should not just take Jesus for granted, and actually pick up our own burdens instead of just saying, “It’s okay. None of my sins matter because Jesus took them all away from me” NO. We still need to stay on the path. We should not stray. We are not completely safe from the temptations of the devil, and we need to remember that and stay on the path.
Today the Daily Scripture is telling us about how much God loved us and how he sent down his own son to die a save us. It is telling us that we can only make it to heaven if we go with the Lord Jesus.
I think it means that we should humble our selves. Jesus the son of God came down to become human and then died for us. we should also be very selfless.
What I think the gospel is trying to tell us is that Jesus gave up everything to get rid of our sins and to open the gates of Heaven. So what I think Jesus is trying to is the we need to give up everything for the greater good which is Heaven. He gave up everything for us so now we need to give up everything for him.
The cross of Christ to me means that Jesus gave up his only son so that we may be saved and born into eternal life.
The cross means that Jesus gave his life to save us.Jesus saved us,and he went through pain and humiliation because he loves us.Even when we are sinners Jesus will always love us.The cross also reminds us that Jesus died so we can get to heaven.
the crass mends that he had got crosspid and diead for
The cross to me is a sign of Jesus, a sign that he died for our sins. It shows us that he came to earth and saved us all from the temptation of the devil, and thanks to him we are all better.
Having the opportunity to be catholic is just simply amazing because we get to believe and know in a person that we know is always going to be there for us and will always forgive us, to the end of time. He is the only person that can save us. That is amazing. Also, knowing that he is coming back for us sinners is even better to know and understand. Our time here on Earth, we should live like how Christ is right now, so we can be happy with him forever and ever in Heaven!
When Jesus came down to earth in the form of a child he was showing us that he doesn’t have to be a God to follow God. He came down and put himself into our shoes and didn’t cheat anything or anyone he just did what he was supposed to do. He wasn’t trying to make anybody mad he was trying to make everyone happy. He came down to this earth to save us and that’s what happened on the cross and now today it’s like it is so hard to just give him one hour during the week to go and worship Him in Sunday mass.
I feel the gospel is telling us that Jesus died on the cross for us and he died for our sins. But yet we still disobey him. I feel like we need to not disobey and sin as much.
the crass me wen jessas dieas on the crass
This gospel is really inspiring because it is telling us that if we love Jesus Christ with all our heart that we will go to heaven, but the gospel also says that we will go to heaven and have eternal life. See, Jesus wants to spend time with the people who love him. Your whole life even if you are far away from Jesus, he is trying to make you love him until the final call.
Everyone should have a cross in their house and it means different ways to lots of people. The cross reminds me that Jesus saved us and loves us, and he will love us until the day we die. We might get distracted from the cross while we are praying, but remember Jesus never stops looking or forgets about you. So, when I look at the cross I try to give my full body attention to him just like he has done to me. The cross is a beautiful way of showing that you care and love Jesus Christ Gods only begotten son who died for you and rose up from the dead. Many people love the cross in different ways but this is my way of showing it.
What God is trying to tell us is he want our sin. Also he want our good times and our bad times. He is always over joyed to talk to us. That is why he send Jesus to die for us. He takes our bad times and replaces it with joy, happiness and gratefulness.
The scripture today is telling me,that no matter what happens Jesus will always be there. He was there when are sins needing to be took away.He was here when we had are Baptism. He is watching us all day everyday. He is there always to help. Thats why He died up on the cross so that he could take away all are sins and open up the gates of Heaven so we could spend the rest of are Spiritual life with him.
I take this as humans often forget to remind themselves about all the wondrous deeds God does. God gave us everything that we have to show that he loves us and will always forgive us. We need to start noticing Jesus noticing us!
What the cross means to me is that God will always forgive nomatter what I do and when I do it.
God does not even require that we worship him everyday, but rather we treat each other as he treated us, giving up his only son to die for us.
Jesus died on the cross for our sins so we could go to heaven. Jesus is taking are sins away so we can go to heaven to see him
The cross is a symbol of death and hope all at the same time. Jesus died and rose from the death. likewise our old nature must die so that we can live as a brand new creation in Christ.
The cross of Jesus means to me that he sacrificed himself for us. Even for the people who dont like him and who are horrible people. He loves everyone from the best person in he world to the worst person in the world. He believes in you and wants the best for you so believe in Jesus believe in the cross.
The cross stands for love and the sacrifice Jesus made for our sins, it also shows that we should humble ourselves or stay as humble as possible.
God came down from Heaven to become man, for He had to be below us to raise us up. He did not come to call the righteous but the sinners. If we judge one another as holy and unholy, then how can we say we are holy? By judging, we are no greater than the one we judge, but rather like them. We cannot judge by words and actions, but rather by thoughts. We cannot know one’s thoughts, therefor how can we judge them? Does it do justice for one’s own brother to judge Him instead of helping him? If someone did no wrong, but judged his neighbor, then isn’t he doing wrong? The Lord called us to follow Him, not to judge, but to be judged.
The cross means that God sent his son as a average human to go through suffering and pain to save us from sin. He could’ve sent Jesus as a rich man but he wanted him to be average. to show that everyone can be holy, you just have to believe
I believe what the gospel is saying to us that God will love us no matter what. And he will save us no matter what we are going through.
If we respond to Him and His love, a response is difficult and necessary for salvation.
It is saying the cross that Jesus carried were our sins not for his free will but for Gods will
To me the cross is very important because Jesus died on that cross for us, for YOU. Jesus gave up his own life to save us. All Jesus had to do was say “I’m Done”, but you know why he didn’t, because he knew he was dieing for OUR sins. If He where to say stop or to say no i’m done, then you would not be breathing or reading this right know.
God was born as the humble son of God. He remained humble throughout his life, only serving his father, God. Jesus died in a humble way on the cross. The cross is a symbol of our faith and of what Jesus did for us in order to save us from sin.
I meant Jesus was born as the humble son of God
I meant Jesus is the humble son of God
Jesus was born as the humble son of God, served God humbly and died a humble death on the cross. His cross is a great symbol of our faith. It shows what Jesus went through in order to save us from sin.
