Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Jesus said to his disciples:
“To you who hear I say, love your enemies,
do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you,
pray for those who mistreat you.
To the person who strikes you on one cheek,
offer the other one as well,
and from the person who takes your cloak,
do not withhold even your tunic.
Give to everyone who asks of you,
and from the one who takes what is yours do not demand it back.
Do to others as you would have them do to you.
For if you love those who love you,
what credit is that to you?
Even sinners love those who love them.
And if you do good to those who do good to you,
what credit is that to you?
Even sinners do the same.
If you lend money to those from whom you expect repayment,
what credit is that to you?
Even sinners lend to sinners,
and get back the same amount.
But rather, love your enemies and do good to them,
and lend expecting nothing back;
then your reward will be great
and you will be children of the Most High,
for he himself is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked.
“Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
“Stop judging and you will not be judged.
Stop condemning and you will not be condemned.
Forgive and you will be forgiven.
Give and gifts will be given to you;
a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap.
For the measure with which you measure
will in return be measured out to you.” LK 6:36-38
Today’s Gospel is taken from Luke’s Sermon on the Plain which is similar to the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew’s Gospel. The section today’s Gospel is taken from is “Love of Enemies” and how to treat our neighbor. What speaks to my heart the most is that we are all sinners. We fail to do the Father’s Will by judging, condemning, being selfish, labeling, and sinning. I often see this in myself as a father trying to teach my own children to be holy. It’s hard. I sometimes get on them about something when I don’t model it well myself. It doesn’t mean that I stop disciplining with tough love, but I try to be mindful of how I am living what I am teaching them myself.
God will be the final judge of our lives. We are called to judge as fathers, mothers, teachers, judges, etc., but when we judge it must be based on God’s laws. He is love and mercy with justice. He has compassion (suffers with) on us, but He taught us sin has serious consequences. His love and mercy are so great that He gave His only Son to die for us. God’s love is more powerful than anything in the world! This is why He is so radical to teach to even love our enemies. This is crazy talk! This is radical love! God’s love overcomes everything and He wants to share it with you.
We are called to recognize the love and mercy the Father has for us, so that we too can love and be merciful to others. Are you willing to lose your pride and think of others before yourself in all that you do today?
Today’s challenge: Try to live without judging today, what someone is wearing, how they look, how they talk, what they said, and if they say something that hurts or offends you, be ready to forgive. Love the unlovable in your world today. Give expecting nothing in return. It’s hard being a Christian! Only with God’s grace can we fulfill what Jesus wants us to do in today’s Gospel and become “perfect (holy) like the heavenly Father is perfect”.
Be a servant, become a saint!

I think this is saying that we shouldn’t judge others because Jesus is the only one that should judge us. We should learn to forgive others the way God has forgiven us. He let his son die on the cross for our sins, forgiving us for all of our wrongdoings.
Jesus is saying that loving people that love you or even the people who don’t love you will get you closer to heaven. and all the things people do good are also being done by sinners.
The Gospel is telling us to love everyone. Even if we do not know the person, we shouldn’t be rude to them. The Gospel said that even if you’re enemies are being mean or rude to you that you should still love them and not be rude back to them. Jesus tells us to not judge and we will not be judged. He’s pretty much telling us to follow the Golden Rule to treat others as you want to be treated.
I think God is trying to say that no mater what a person does to you you should forgive them. If you do something you would hope that they would do the same. He is saying that do not retaliate because when you retaliate it is always worse.
What the gospel is telling me today is that if I am nice to everyone in my life then they will be nice back. If I gift something to someone they will gift back. If we pray to God, He will pray back.
It is saying that we need to treat others as we want to be treated. It is saying you should love the people around you so you could be loved by them, also they are God’s creation and He made them for us to treat them with respect because they were made for a reason and have a purpose.
Jesus doesn’t judge anyone so why can’t I. I should not judge others and see the beauty within them. I also have to do good so that why God judges me I can be sent into heaven. The gospel also taught me about When I borrow something I should also give back, but also give more.
We need to remember what God created us for. He created us to be Holy and to Love Him and others around us. My takeaway from today’s gospel is to always respect others, no matter what you think. Even if that means not saying anything or doing anything. Our thoughts turn into words, and our words turn into action. Be mindful of what God is calling you to do. Our thoughts are mostly controlled by ourselves. It is important to always be positive and to look at the bright side of life.
“Love your enemies.” Jesus is telling us to do something VERY difficult, if not impossible. How do you love someone that you hate? But Jesus asks us to do hard stuff all the time. Being Catholic is just straight up 100% doing hard stuff. People might say that we’re Catholic because we’re scared and need something to rely on. That we need a crutch to support us. That we can’t handle the real world. I say that we’re Catholic out of love and hope.
Jesus’ famous teaching is read today, “Do to others as you would have them do to you.” We can not judge those who do the same things we do. We should not expect something automatically and then, full of hypocrisy, go off and do the same thing. In today’s Gospel it says “Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Give and gifts will be given to you,” I don’t think this is necessarily for person to person, but it is when our day of judgement comes.
“Love your enemies.” This is difficult for us because if a person is our enemy, it seems we shouldn’t like them. We are supposed to love our enemies because if you hate them, what good is that? We need to treat others with respect and learn to love others more than ourselves. I can use this in my life by praying for those who mistreat me.
“To you who hear I say, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you” Jesus did what he said. He loved the people who crucififed him. He forgave them. And we were those people who put him on the cross and he still forgave us.
I can apply this to my life by not judging someone for something they can’t control, or how they look or what they wear. Or just being a bully in general. We need to stop judging people for nothing. We judge because we think it makes us look better to other people and it doesn’t. And we needs to learn how to forgive people when when we don’t want to.
Today God is telling us that forgiveness is so important. No matter how much someone hurts us we have to forgive them because its the right thing to do. We always have to be the bigger person. Hes also saying that we can’t judge or be rude to people because then people will do the same to us.
God dose’t like having enemies he wants us to be good and we shouldn’t hate, but we should be thankful for all we have and that is all that matters and i feel like this reflects to all of us because we go to our phones just to see whats new and to some times to hate we see it in text and Instagram but why Jesus shouldn’t and yes where not perfect but still i think its worth a try just to stop. to just stop.
This is nice. It shows us our place, what we should do, and that we should do it selflessly.
If Jesus said “Treat others as you would want to be treated,” then why do we treat others poorly? Why do we hurt, swear, scar, and persecute each other? Imagine how much different the world would be if we forgave. If we gave. If we took responsibility for our actions. Why are we so hypocritical? We tell others what to do or not to do, yet we do the opposite of what we said. How can we get to Heaven if we don’t forgive? If we don’t love?
-Whatsoever you do to the least of my people, you do unto Me.
Jesus says that we should treat each other as we would want to be treated. He also told us to forgive and we will be forgiven and judge and then we will be judged. Jesus told us to love even the sinners. We should love everyone and be forgiving when we teach the truth.
It’s saying to forgive people if they hurt you, and it’s saying to not judge people.
Although life will be filled of sin and hatred, even if there are those who wrong you, you should still treat them with kindness. This scripture reminds me to follow the golden rule. Treat others the way you want them to treat you. Although their sins may hurt us, and although the thought of revenge is tempting, you should still treat them with kindness because you are like them in a way too.
Jesus wants us to treat people right and they will repay you with the same thing. I someone pushes you don’t push them back, but be nice to them and they’ll realize that they can be nice. Treat someone else kindly and that is how you’ll be treated by them.
I should love my enemies and treat people nicely. I shouldn’t judge others or else I will be judged. If I do good to others who do good to wouldn’t do me any good, but if I do good to people who don’t do good to me it will do me more good. I should forgive so that my heavenly Father will forgive me also.
Jesus really spoke to me through the scripture when he said, “love your enemies”. Through this Jesus wants us to know that anger and sin can’t get in the way of our judgement, we need to clear our minds and do the right thing at all times.
I Think today’s scripture is telling us that judging people is wrong . Jesus today is telling us to forgive our enemy’s and make peace. If we do not judge than we will not get judged later on. I think people should learn how to forgive and talk to others they don’t like.
“Stop judging and you will not be judged.¨ This is amazing to me because we all judge people everyday, we don even mean to we just do it. We need to think about what were doing before we do it. You would never say those things to their face. So dont say it at all. I always think, would I want to be judged like how I judge people.
What this scripture meant to me was that to not bully are judge people even if you do not know them.
I feel like this is telling us to stop judging and love your enemies. If we don’t judge than we won’t be judged. Even if people judge us or make fun of us we should still be kind to them. If someone is being mean we shouldn’t be mean back. When we judge someone that’s a sin and it’s one we don’t realize. Sometimes we judge people without even realizing that we are. We need to take the time to notice that we are doing it so it won’t happen again.
This reading is saying that doing good to those who do good to you gets you nowhere, but doing good to those who don’t do good to you is getting you to heaven because you are putting aside your differences and trying to be better.
This is telling us that we need to be willing to do things for other people even if we don’t want to. For example if your parents ask you to do the dishes or set the table, you probably don’t want to do that, you want to watch TV or something, but you have to think of how hard it was for your parents at work today and that they do so much for you. We have to be willing to do the tasks God gives us in life because there will be a great reward in heaven!
I think that this is talking about how in gods eyes we are all equal and he loves us all the same. he is telling us to love even the worst of sinners and to help them because they probably just need that love and help. I helps you to think about times you where sinning and some one still loved you and helped you get through it.
Christ is telling us, in a longer way, the golden rule. Forgive others actions and you shall be forgiven. Is just one example of how God wants us to treat each other.
I think God is saying we should always follow the golden rule and we should treat everybody with respect.
In this scripture it is telling me to not have enemies and be kind to people who you are their enemy. The scripture is really inspiring to me because it is trying to tell us to love the people around us just as much as we love ourselves. Jesus wants us to be kind to everyone even if they have been hatred to us, and that is what will get you to heaven.
In this Gospel God is telling us to treat others the way that we want to be treated. A quote that stuck out to me was when Jesus said ¨forgive and you will be forgiven¨. We are all sinners and we all know that but do we actually feel guilty for doing it? God is saying to forgive others just like God has forgiven us for our sins.
I think that this Gospel is telling us to always be forgiving and be like God on how he forgives the Roman soldiers for killing and mistreating Him. If you can forgive someone for doing something mistreating you or harming you than you can be better spiritually and mentally.
Jesus is saying that u should love everyone and treat them with care and they shall treat you the same
It hit me when jesus said “love your enemies” that reminded me that we are not perfect we are human and we need to change and give grace tho those who hurt you and that is why he said that to tell us to give them a chance to change.
I think this is talking about the golden rule. The golden rule, I think is the best and most important thing ever. I can change every think. I think everyone should follow it.
It is telling us that we should love everyone like we love are families and are selves.
Jesus says to treat others the way we want to be treated. Even if people treat you with hatred, you should still treat them with kindness and love. Jesus is telling us that no matter what others do to us we should always forgive them because we should be merciful like God is to us. If we want to be forgiven by God, we must forgive others.
What is being said is to not judge your neighbor unless it is Gods will and will help us get to heaven. We should not judge our neighbor harmfully. Only under Gods will.
The Gospel is trying to tell us is ẗhe phrase “keep your friends close, but keep your enemys closer.” Love everyone around you.
This scripture tells me to be aware of when you judge someone, because that is absolutely not how you want to be treated. Think before you make an act or a thought.
The thing that stuck out to me the most was when Jesus said to love our enemies. I think what hes trying to say is that if we love the enemies we will get credit for which if we just love people who love us what credit is theyre in making new friends it wont get us any where in life if we dont love our enemies as well.
Jesus is telling us that he wants us to forgive people even if they do the unforgivable. He wants us to love others no matter what happens. He wants us to give without an expectation that we will receive in return. He is also saying not to be greedy by getting something and saying you have to give me something in return. He is telling us to be selfless.
I felt that Jesus was saying that we need to forgive, not grumpily saying I forgive you but actually mean it. If you hold a grudge, than there is no way you can forgive. Our sin killed a man(Jesus) and he forgave us and still forgives us today. If we cannot even forgive the most silly things, then are we worthy of heaven?
Today Jesus is proving that if you do a good deed that doesn’t mean someone will do a good deed back but, expect them not to. We shouldn’t be waiting for Jesus to come but preparing our minds. Ala]so we shouldn’t judge others if we dont want to be judged because we are all perfect in god image and no one can take that away from you.
In today’s scripture, a line that really stuck out to me was “Stop judging and you will not be judged.” To me this means whatever we do to someone else is the same thing they will do back to us. If you are mean to someone most likely they will be mean back, but if you are kind and loving to that person they will be kind and loving back. God is telling us to treat others how we would like to be treated!
In today’s gospel, it tells us that you should still be kind to those who are not kind to you, and still do good to those who hate you. You should treat everyone with kindness no matter what, because everyone is human and deserves to be treated with respect.
Todays scripture says that you should love those who hate you and to Forgive them for hating you.
We are all sinners, and we need to remember to love everyone else because they are sinners too. Whether the hate you, like you, or don’t know you well, we need to remember that we should follow the Golden Rule.
I’ve learned that you should try to live without judging someone today, what someone is wearing, how they look, how someone talks, what they said, and if they say something that hurts or offends you, be ready to forgive. Love the unlovable in your world today because you should love everyone no matter what their skin color is. We should all care for each other and be kind to one another. I’ve also learned that you should stop judging and you will not be judged and stop condemning and you will not be condemned.
Also forgive and you will be forgiven and give and gifts will be given to you.
What i understood is that your not suppose to judge but you should help them. you don’t know what their going through and you are only judging them because you think that makes you look good but it doesn’t.
This Gospel phrase talks about the hate we have towards our enemies, or are enemies in general. Jesus tells us to do good to our enemies and people we don’t like. For most people they are probably saying “But why? They are mean and cruel!” It does not matter if they have done bad to you. That is them going against God’s word. Doing me things to them back may make you feel powerful but you are going against God and Jesus’s word. In this passage Jesus says love your enemies. Even though they may be your enemy and you don’t like them, be kind to anyone you will ever meet. Your friends, your family and others you love, you keep close to you, but keep your enemies closer. Show your enemy the most graceful thing on earth. Show them Jesus through you.
“Expect nothing in return” This is really important to me in the sense of how much every person struggles with it. We give, but expect something back. Maybe something as simple and easy as a “thanks”, but our expectations overpower our generosity. We, as human beings, struggle with these things in all our lives, just maybe not in the same areas. We become angry when we help someone, give a gift, lend some money, and they don’t give a response of gratitude or praise. We have a problem with that, but it’s okay. God is always with us every step of the way to help us overcome expectations. If we follow His commands (“expect nothing in return”) and try really hard to just be generous and loving, we can become the best gift-giver. The best gift is just to have given something to someone else.
Today’s gospel is telling us to be respectful. I’ts kind of telling us that if don’t want someone to punch us, then don’t go punch them. Or if you where calling someone names you don’t want them to do i back to you. So God is telling us to be kind and don’t think about your reward, because if your being kind just to get credit then its not being kind it may look like it but you should treat your neighbor how you want to be treated.
I think this scripture is saying to love your enemies no matter how much you don’t want to. It is the right thing to do and its what God would do and want us to do.We need to treat others the way we would wanna be treated and sometimes it may take a lot to do that and maybe even sacrifice something for it but by the end of the day it would make God happy and proud of us following him in the right path doing the right things.
Jesus teaches us that we should love everyone and treat everyone with kindness and respect. It is kind of like the golden rule to treat others how you want to be treated. We should not judge people because they are different. We should not judge at all.
i think God is trying to tell us not to judge and to be like him.Because when you judge you hurt someone inside. You also hurt your self because your hurting your soul to by sinning. You judge someone to feel good but in reality your just making the devil feel good.
I think it is is saying no matter how close you are to someone no matter how much they have hurt you in your life or if you’re really close to them you should treat everyone with respect and love just like you do to everyone else.
I think this Gospel is saying to love those even if they don’t love us and don’t judge people for how they look.
What I learned from this scripture is that I should still care for people who have done me wrong. We shouldn’t be hypocrites and go back and take revenge or do it back to them just because they did it to us. “Then your reward will be great and you will be children of the Most High.” “Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.”
This Gospel is telling me to be a forgiver and to not judge. Judging is something that we all probably do everyday no matter what. When you judge others it is because you are scared or anxious about something or just something about yourself that you don’t like so you try to cover it up by judging others. Instead of judging people everyday we should forgive. We should forgive those who have judged us instead of wasting time judging others.
In today’s Gospel it is telling me that we should not Judge other people, God gave everyone their own talents and and we should not judge them for what they do. We should always follow in God’s footsteps and do what he would want us to do.
In today’s reading God is telling us that forgiveness is very important. When we get hurt by someone or someone else’s feelings or actions we need to forgive them. Jesus will always love us and that means that if we make a sin than He will always forgive us no matter how bad that sin is.
In today’s Gospel Jesus tells us to treat our enemies like we want to be treated, but also to treat them better than you are treated. If someone does something bad to you and you do something back to them you are both at fault. But if you do something nice afterwards then you did nothing wrong and any blame goes to the other person.
I think God is telling me that we need to give everything we have up to God and to give away no matter what. Even if you hate the person you’re giving away to.
What I think the Gospel is saying is to love everyone and treat everyone as you want to be treated by others. God wants all of us to love one another because our love is the strongest thing to exist on the Earth. We shouldn’t be selfish or anything like that, we should be respectful for one another. It’s the right thing to do and it will make many people happier and would even make God happier. Who knows what this world would be like if everyone respected and was kind to everyone for at least a week.
Jesus is a making a very “strange” point today. Love your enemies. It sounds crazy. When you think about it though, it makes a lot of sense. Especially in the way Jesus explained it. What good is it, if you only love those who love you. Where is the challenge in that? Where is the way to prove we love everyone? He is challenging us to love everyone. Don’t expect anything back. Give generously and don’t want anything in return. Kindness always finds it’s way to give back. Try to love even those who hate you and it will come right back at you.
“Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Give and gifts will be given to you” In today’s Gospel I think Jesus is driving home what we kind of circle around, we think, “if I am good to just some people, and love just some people, that’s still following Jesus’s commands” but Jesus is telling us, that’s not how it works, you must love everyone, and be good to everyone, and by us avoiding the truth, we aren’t following his commands, we are picking how we want to follow the rules, instead of how the rules should be followed.
Today Jesus gives beautiful words of wisdom on how we should love. He tells us to love everyone including our enemies. Today we should try to love each other the same way that Jesus loves us.
Today, Jesus is telling us to do something insane. He’s telling us to love our enemies. How crazy is that! Jesus is telling us today to do something most of us would call impossible. But it’s necessary for us to love our enemies if we have any hope of joining Jesus in heaven. Jesus loves everyone, even the people who nailed him to the cross, even the people who condemed him, even us when we deny loving him like Peter did. He loves his enemies, so should we. And even though it seems impossible, it’s possible, and it’s necessary. So like St. Francis said, “Start by doing what’s necessary, then what’s possible, and suddenly you’re doing the impossible
I think in today’s Gospel Jesus is clearly telling us to love our enemies and live more like him. We get so carried away in judging people and trying to be better expecially better than our enemies to try and prove them wrong sometimes. We need to live like Christ and stop doing the same sins over and over again. Let us be better versions of ourselves in every way and love others like Christ.
When I read today’s gospel, what stuck out to me was “stop judging and you will not be judged.” In our world today, it is so easy to judge without thinking about it. Especially on social media. Jesus tells us that if we stop judging, then we will not be judged. If you judge someone, then you are unsure about yourself in that way. We need to recognize our brokenness and strive to be better in our own lives. I can apply this to my life by taking time to realize why I am judging and pray so that I can become better.
This reading tells you that you need to treat everyone with respect and dignity. That you should treat everyone the way you wanted to be treated. Like the golden rule. Including being kind to your enemies when they aren’t kind to you, doing the right thing when you did something wrong, and being Christ-like to those who are or aren’t your friends. One thing that is similar to this is giving and not expecting. When we be kind to others its their choice to be kind back.
We should always treat each other with respect even if we don’t know them or really like the. The Lord say pray for them and love them witch always is not easy to do. Keep your friends and family close but your enemies closer.
I feel like Jesus is saying that we should live by the Golden Rule. I think that the Golden Rule sums up everything he said. He wants us to treat others how we would want to be treated.
Today in the scripture i learned god doesn’t have any enemies. So treat every one with respect and kindness. Jesus tells us we need to stop jugging others.
Jesus is saying that loving people that love you or even the people who don’t love you will get you closer to heaven, and all the things people do good are also being done by sinners
What Jesus is trying to tell us is that We need to love our enemies because we don’t know what they are going through
It tells us to not judge other people. when they hurt you, don’t hurt them back. forgive them.
I think that this scripture means that if you help others and not just yourself then he will help you when you need it. I can apply this to my life by helping others more and not just woring about myself. The word Measured stud out to me because you can measure everything but Gods love.
Todays Scripture tell us to love are enemies and not to hate them like they hates us, but bless them so they might change.
I think it is saying to love other people and care about them even if they dont love us.
Jesus is saying that loving people that love you or even the people who don’t love you will get you closer to heaven, and all the things people do good are also being done by sinners. Also this means that we can’t judge people with what they do or something and “Stop judging and you will not be judged.
To me this means that whatever you do will come back to get you. So if you are a nice guy then God will reward you by bringing you to heaven. But if you are a rude mean person than God will bring you down to hell. That’s why us Catholics love God for everything and all that he does for us. This also happens in real life. If you are a bad person. than Karma is going to hit you hard. But good people will be rewarded.
This Gospel is saying that we should treat others with the respect that we want to receive. We are here to not just care about ourselves, but to make sure that we make others feel like they have a place in this world.
Early in the Gospel today God says,” Even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you?” He is reminding us that we need to treat others like we would ourselfs.
One thing that stuck out to me in this Gospel was,To you who hear I say, love your enemies,do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. This stuck out to me because Jesus does not care what we do to disobey him he will always love us. And he will always have his arms wide open waiting for us to come to him.
I think it is saying that when we do good stuff and expect stuff in return, are we really doing something good for the benefit of others, or are we doing it for ourselves. In the text it says, “And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do the same. If you lend money to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you,” it is saying that doing something good, giving stewardship, Donating money ect., Is to benefit others and in return their happiness shall be your benefit.
The Lord is saying that if we want to be treated with respect and kindness then we need to treat people the same way. He says “Stop judging and you will not be judged.” that sands out me the most because I feel like so many people in today word thinks you have to look one way or dress a certain way to be popular. And that’s not true He made us all to be unique.
This scripiture is basically saying be kind to anyone no matter if you know them or not andif you do be mean or whatever that will stray you away from God.
“Stop condemning and you will not be condemned.
Forgive and you will be forgiven.
Give and gifts will be given to you;”
Today I think that God is trying to tell us that whatever we do, it will somehow make it’s way back to us. Whether we were bad to another person or we did something really nice to them, we will someday get it back . If not on Earth, then in Purgatory where we will be judged on the actions that we did with our time on earth.
While I was reading this Gospel the phrase that really stuck out to me was “Even sinners do the same”. It is a reminder that you always have to go above and beyond in your daily life because if you don’t, then nothing will differentiate you from all of the sinners that just do average. At the beginning it talks about how you should love your enemies. That is something that the sinners won’t do. All of the things that are mentioned in this reading are easy things that will get you to heaven. All of these point to one thing, love. When somebody hurts you don’t hurt them back you are supposed to love them. So if you want to differentiate yourself from the sinners of the world you have to live your life showing love to everyone.
A phrase that stuck out to me was “Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.” In order to be merciful, you have to do random acts of kindness and care for others. It is possible is you are doing it with a loving heart and with Jesus by our side.
The phrase that stuck out to me is, “To the person who strikes you on one cheek, offer the other one as well…”. For some people, this commandment might be really hard, nearly impossible maybe. Still, for others it may be simple to not fight back, and let the punches roll. For me, personally, it’s the first choice. When someone starts to fight with me, I feel the urge to fight back. But God tells us otherwise. He tells us to begivers of peace and to understand the other person, like He did.
I think he is saying that you should always try to do good things in life, even when it is not to your friends, because everyone deserves a second chance to prove themselves, even when it is not the most easiest thing for you to do.
It is telling us that we should forgive those who judge or hurt us. But we should no judge anybody else. Jesus is basically telling us to go by the golden rule.
What I learn from this is that if someone does bad to you, do not do bad back, it will just end bad. Like if someone hits you (ex: your brother) do not hit them back.
I think today’s scripture is saying that we should treat others as we want to be treated and to always lend what you have to someone who may have less. Being kind to everyone even though they may hate you is also one of the things God may want us to do in our daily life. Even if you lend someone something you may have that they don’t do not expect anything in return.
I think He is saying to be kind to everyone, even when they are not your closest friend, because everyone deserves a second chance to prove themselves. You should always be kind, even when it isn’t the easiest thing for you to do. Everyone is a human being, and you should treat them with respect.
God tell everyone that if you sin you can be forgiven.
What I think God is trying to say here is that love those who you do not like. This is very important in life because there will always be someone you don’t like. It could be a boss or a coworker. If you do one of things that Jesus said not to do it will backfire and you might lose a job or a friendship. So really I think the message here is that love the one who you don’t like and you will be treated well.
I think God is tying to tell us not to judge our neighbor. It is the golden rule. It stoke out to me because if we judge some someone we are judging our selves which can result in a sin.
I think the gospel is saying that we should be kind to others even if they are not kind to us.God wants us to kind to everyone because he is always kind and forgiving to sinners.Sometimes we don’t even think about how some people can hold a grudge for a very long time, and God will always forgive us.
I feel like today’s scripture is telling me that Jesus want us to forgive people. Even if it is someone that did us really wrong, we should try to forgive and make peace. I also think that it is telling us that judging others is wrong because we are all humans and make the same mistake. So, if we want others to forgive us, we need to forgive other. If we do not judge others than we will not get judged later on. If you don´t make a mistake, then you are not human. If you want others to forgive, you need to start forgiving others.
I think that the reading is telling me that we need to forgive our enemies even if we do not like them. Also people we don’t like we should also forgive them and not hold grudges. It is important that we forgive them and they will forgive us too.
In this Gospel I think that Jesus is trying to tell me how important forgiveness, forgiving others really is. So even if someone did something that is not okay, you still need to forgive them. Just think about how many times you’ve sinned and hurt God’s feelings and He forgives you every time. God is expecting us to forgive others, because if we just hold a grudge against them forever, we’re filled with sin, and just think that that person you need to forgive it human just like you are, and makes mistakes just like you. You have probably done something to someone just like this person, and hoped that the person you hurt would forgive you. Maybe in the past you’ve even hurt the person that just hurt you. Forgiveness is important.
What this scripture reflection is saying to me is that we need to try to surpass the expectations and try to be the best person of ourselves that we can be.
Jesus wants us to love our enemys and thats a hard thing to do because if their your enemys that means they must have done something to you. So we need to forgive others and love them as we love ourselves.
We should treat all people well, even if they have hurt you or fought you or disagreed with you, we need to treat others with respect. Everyone has inside of them, which is why each soul should be treated well.
I take this as you will be judge on how you judge. If we always judge people we will be judge when we get to Heaven. God is the only person who should judge us because all of us are not worthy to judge.
I think Jesus is saying in this scripture is that we need to treat others the way you want to be treated and to take care of each other and love our own kind.
this scripture is telling us to love our enemies even if they are bad people it like love your enemies no matter what
This piece of Scripture tells us that we should give everything to follow God “Give up everything and follow me”. We do not need anything on the journey to heaven because God will supply it. We need nothing but ourselves and God. It also says that we will be judged how we judge others. This means when Judgement Day comes, if we judged others unjustly, God will judge us unjustly. God is the one who is supposed to judge people on Judgement day, it’s not our place to judge people in our everyday lives.
Jesus wants us to stop being greedy and unholy. He wants us to forgive those who hurt us, give to others without expecting anything in return, repent for our sins, and not to condemn others. He wants us to live a life in the faith of God.
