Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.
Jesus said to his disciples:
“Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
“Stop judging and you will not be judged.
Stop condemning and you will not be condemned.
Forgive and you will be forgiven.
Give and gifts will be given to you;
a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap.
For the measure with which you measure
will in return be measured out to you.” LK 6:36-38
Today’s Gospel is taken from Luke’s Sermon on the Plain which is similar to the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew’s Gospel. The section today’s Gospel is taken from is “Love of Enemies” and how to treat our neighbor. What speaks to my heart the most is that we are all sinners. We fail to do the Father’s Will by judging, condemning, being selfish, labeling, and sinning.
I often see this in myself as a father trying to teach my own children to be holy. It’s hard. I sometimes get on them about something when I don’t model it well myself. It doesn’t mean that I stop disciplining with tough love, but I try to be mindful of how I am living what I am teaching them myself.
God will be the final judge of our lives and He judges. We are called to judge as fathers, mothers, teachers, judges, etc., but when we judge it must be based on God’s laws and. He is love and mercy with justice. He has compassion (suffers with) on us, but He taught us sin has serious consequences. His love and mercy are so great that He gave His only Son to die for us. God’s love is more powerful than anything in the world! This is why He is so radical to teach to even love our enemies. This is crazy talk! This is radical love! God’s love overcomes everything and He wants to share it with you.
We are called recognize the love and mercy the Father has for us, so that we too can love and be merciful to others. Are you willing to lose your pride and think of others before yourself in all that you do today?
Today’s challenge: Try to live without judging today, what someone is wearing, how they look, how they talk, what they said, and if they say something that hurts or offends you, be ready to forgive. Love the unlovable in your world today. Give expecting nothing in return. It’s hard being a Christian! Only with God’s grace can we fulfill what Jesus wants us to do in today’s Gospel.
Be a servant, become a saint!
#Christian YOLO
What I can take away from this Gospel is that you need to treat others as you want to be treated. I can use this in my life by being nice and not judging.
jesus is pretty much saying the great commandment, treat others the way you’d want to be treated.
I can reflect on this scripture by knowing to help others whenever you can, and not for selfish reasons but just because its the right thing to do and that one day they could come back and help you.
We shouldn’t judge people, especially for things they can’t control. Our job is not to judge because God will do that when we die. We have to make sure we are good examples for other people and be mindful of what we are doing.
This scripture passage is telling us the basis of the Golden Rule: Do unto others what you would have done unto you. This is a great rule to live by,considering that, if you bully someone, you will get bullied back. Because of this, we should always treat every human being with the upmost respect, because that is what everyone deserves.
In today’s passage its teaching us not to judge others on their looks. We need to treat others how we would want to be treated.
what i Received from this is what you do will be done into you. Jesus died for our sins and and we should treat others like Jesus treats us.
We should not judge we should give. If you give someone something even just a smile they will give you one back. If you judge then you will probably be jugded back. So ehat ever you do you will probably get it in return.
I can apply this to my life by understanding that I make different choices than others but that doesn’t mean I have to jugde them on their beliefs. I don’t have to make the same descions as someone else I am my one person and I can’t jugde others who want to be different.
In this scripture God is telling us to treat others as they would treat you. We need love for everyone no matter how bad they are because you never know. Your love might change their life for the better.
I can apply this to my life by not judging people. I should know, if I judge or criticize someone, they can do the same thing to me. We should be like Jesus and be merciful and kind. We should not be throwing hate around like it is a ball. Instead, we should inspire others to be like Christ.
I think that today’s scripture is about how God told us that sin has severe consequences and that sin was so bad, Jesus had to die for us. And even though we sinned so much, He still loves us because His love overpowers everything.
It says stop judging and forgive. We always judge each other and still have trouble forgiving people. We need to learn how to do that.
I learned that I should live by the Golden Rule and God’s teachings. Treat everyone with kindness and respect.
Jesus is trying to teach us to be kind to people, even people we might not get along with all the time.
It is important to recognize and put the Golden Rule into action. We should treat everyone with the same respect that they treat us with. The more kind actions you do, the more kind actions people will do for you.
I can apply this to my life by remembering that God is always watching me. No matter where and when he has his eyes on me. He is keeping his eyes on me and watching me make my decisions. He is always there to help guide me in the right direction.
This scripture from today is about how its wrong to judge people by how they, look or what they are wearing. Everyone needs to remember that some people arent as fortunate as you
In today’s scripture, we cant teach to do something if you don’t do it yourself. Positive reinforcement and mentoring are great ways to teach. Jesus taught the Beatitudes and he lived the Beatitudes. We all must remove the splinter from our own eye before we can remove the splinter from your brothers eye.
I can apply this scripture to my life by not judging other and focus on being kind to others because they are just like us. Its like the golden rule “treat others how you want to be treated” the way you treat others is the way everyone will treat you, if you judge you will be judged. So choose kindness and you will receive kindness.
I can apply this to my daily life by not judging people in my class, on TV, and wherever I go.
I can reflect on this scripture by maturing and not judging people for who they are and mind my own business.
This scripture is about learning not to judge people and about not calling people out for who they are.
God is trying to tell us to worry about are sevles and not others.
Don’t judge people. cause like its bad and not good for you. and like if you judge people out loud or share your judgement you can lose friends, or like start a war against that person or somthing.
Anything that you do will be given back to you. Don’t judge others if you don’t you dont want to be judged.
In this scripture Jesus is telling us not to be hasty in judging others because if we are too quick to judge others they will be quick to judge you. We can get to know the people we jude or else it is unfair judgement.
Basically what is happening in this scripture is, if you do good things for others, good things will come back to, you but if you do bad things to others bad things will come back to you.So to sum it all up whatever you do will happen to you and you may not like it.
Jesus tells us that he will love us no matter what we do. We just need to discipline ourselves more.
I can apply this scripture passage to my life by treating others the way I want to be treated. I can also try my best not to judge other people, so that I may be ready for when God judges me.
I think this gospel reading is telling us about the golden rule, treat others the way you wanted to be treated. We as humans are sinners and do not have the authority to judge people, that is gods job. Everybody is going through different things and we can not condemn others for what we think is happening to them.
Think about the golden rule, would you like someone to do/say that to you?
“Today’s message is to not judge anyone. I guess that won’t be too hard.” Wrong, as humans, we automatically. It could be small things, like if a certain sandwich is good or not, or it could be someone’s skin color. Judging is as natural as walking, so it won’t be easy for anyone, but it will be possible.
In today’s scripture Jesus is telling us that if we are nice to people nice things will happen to us, and that if we give gifts, gifts will be given to us.
This passage is something my dad reminds me and literally reads me every week because I do this all the time (especially with my brothers)! What I should start doing is realizing this isn’t MY world and that other people have feelings, too. Jesus has taught me to love everyone and thats what I should do!
I can apply this Scripture to my life not judging others and forgiving others. Jesus said, “Stop judging and you will not be judged. Forgive and you will be forgiven.” I can forgive others even though it can be hard, and not judge people for things that don’t matter or make a difference.
If we judge others by the color of their skin, their clothes, their financial situation, their ethnicity, etc. we need to ask God for forgiveness and ask him to help us to not judge others by their appearance and their physical characteristics, but by their actions and their personality.
Today the scripture tells us to treat others the way you want to be treated. I think this is very good because we are often rude to others, we wouldn’t want to be treated rudely by others so we shouldn’t treat others that way.
this scripture means to treat each other as we want to be treated. god calls us to love one another as one another. sometimes we fall of by judging each other weither its because their shoes or close or whatever it is. we need to stop. we need to stop calling people out because we all make mistakes and not everyone is perfect. we are jesus’ deciples and we need act like it.
“For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you.” To me this means that we should not hold others to standards that we ourselves are not capable of. I can apply this to my life by not holding others accountable for things that i wouldn’t be able to do, or wouldn’t be able to accomplish.
I think we should all be respectful like Jesus he would never judge anyone so i think we should follow Jesus into his footsteps.
This scripture is telling me that i need to be like God and use the good heart that God gave me to not be a judge free person and love everyone just the way he did. he was so caring and loving to what ever you thought or where. loving each others flaws and our perfect body.
I can apply this to my life by praying after my school work is finished.
Treat someone how you want to be treated.
This scripture passage is telling us that if you hurt someone, be rude, or put them down that person and others may treat you how you treat them. This scripture can be used in my life by being kind to people so I won’t have a bad reputation on you. You should always be nice to people so it’ll come back around and you are happy.
I can apply this to my life by not judging others, to be like Christ and do not judge. If you do judge to be able to repent to God and ask for forgiveness because God doesn’t want us to judge and to be more respectful like him he was a good role model to us and we should pass it on to others so we can all be more Christ like.
This scripture tells me that you should not judge people because one day it will come back to you. And also that if you want to be treated a certain way then treat people that way.
This scripture is telling me to get to know people instead of just judging right away and thinking they are weird by the way they do stuff or by the way they look or something.
I think it means treat other how you want to be treated
jesus is telling me Judgement is a powerful thing and since it’s so powerful it shall not be used in words or in your mind even though its hard i need to strive to get better
God is telling us to give to others without expecting anything in return.
The way i can apply this to my life is by not judging others because we are all created equal and that if you judge you will be judged the same.
I think this scripture passage is telling us to not judge others and to treat them with respect. I can reply this to my life by before I judge
someone to stop and think about what Jesus did for us. And then to change my actions about it.
I think the most important part of this artical is that to love and forgive other we must love God and be forgiven by him. For me It is sometimes tough to love God and during those times I recognize that I may be meen to my little sister.
This scripture to me means that we should always treat others how we would want to be treated, and if you judge someone you will be judged back. We as humans always make mistakes but we should always try our hardest to be forgiving, and to not judge people based on anything.
I think that this reading means that we should all think about how we would feel if we were in other people’s spots. Sometimes I know that I say stuff or think the stuff that I would not want to be directed at me. So I need to make sure not to judge people on physical or mental qualities.
I can apply this scripture to my life by not judging other people by how they look and speak and forgive other people who have offended me.
What sticks out to me in this Gospel passage is the part where Jesus tells us that if we forgive others, we will be forgiven in return by Him and others. I can apply this to my life by forgiving those who do me wrong and letting myself be forgiven as well.
I can apply this to my life by not criticizing or judging people the way they are. If someone judges me and I get hurt, but maybe this is the feeling the person had when I criticized them or judged them. Sometimes we don’t even realize that we’re hurting people, and we don’t even know what they are going through.
Don’t judge people by their look, but by the actions and faith.
If they both have the faith and follow Christ, the poor and the rich are the same to Him.
what i can take from this gospel is treat others how you want to be treated. i can use this in my life by not judging other people and being nice to others.
it’s trying to show us that the good things we do will be rewarded even if it’s not here on earth
I think this scripture is telling us is not to be selfish and treat others how u would want to be treated. God also calls us to be the best person that we can and don’t judge people on how they look.
The gospel tells me that whatever you give it will be returned.
I think what I got from this was that not everyone is the same, God made us differently, so that our world would be unique. So love each other for their unique personality don’t judge them for it.
I believe that he is saying follow the golden rule and treat others how you want to be treated
Todays scripture is about treating each other good so you could be treated good
The scripture is telling me to not judge others and to forgive others, because no matter how big of a sin that we commit, God always forgives and loves us.
This scripture is talking about how we shouldn’t judge others. We need to learn to respect people and not judge them by their appearance or anything about them.
I think it is saying what the golden rule says.
This scripture tells me to treat others how I would like to be treated. To not judge others. And to love everyone whether they dress strange, talk weird, have different opinions than me ect. Why judge others for things they can’t change? You don’t know them personally. You don’t know if they have family issues so why do it?
I can apply this to my real life because if something good is happening then i’ll know that God put that in my life. I can also do this with bad things like if someone is trying to persuade me to do something bad and I know it’s bad then i’ll get this feeling that i shouldn’t do it.
In today’s scripture it tells us not to judge. Its hard when you want to try to impress you friends because you want to fit in but just know that the devil is trying to tempt you. Jesus wants us love everyone not matter what.
If you are living by God’s rules and giving back good, you receive good too, even if you don’t realize it. This scripture applies to every day life. We all should realize that we judge people and we don’t even know it, this scripture tell me and I hope for you, that every act of kindness, small or big, is doing good for others.
Today the gospel is reminding us about the Golden Rule, to treat people the way we would want to be treated. It is human to judge others and super hard to not, we like to judge others by there clothes, looks and ability to do things. Everyone hates to be judged but we do it to others so we can be popular or you do it because you may feel like everyone else is judging you. So if you start to feel like you are wanting to judge someone think about this gospel, do something nice for that person. So this scripture is telling me to be nice act like God don’t judge others and don’t care if I am being judged and to just move on.
We are not God. He is our shepherd and we are his sheep. It is his heaven and he will choose who enters. He is the final judge. Everyone is different and that was decided by God. Evil wants violence and hatred and wants to tell us only that we alone matter. It tells us that we are the judge and that we are perfect. God is trying to tell us to not hate because every sin is counted and there will be justice for everyone in the end.
i can use this to not be like to be myself and to be how i would wanna be seen and that is how i think that this is how this applys to me
I can do this in real life by not judging people on what clothes they wear or what they look like, instead i can be loving and kind.
Jesus is telling me to think about what you are doing. We think about judging to much. We need to stop judging people on how they look or sound.
This scripture is saying that we should all be nice to each other and not judge anyone because we wouldn’t like to be judged so we shouldn’t judge other people such as like what there wearing or what they look like were all made in gods creation and that’s all that matters.
I can do this by not judging anyone for who they are,to treat every one around you as you want to be treated.Just because someone is not as popular, cool, good looking, etc doesn’t mean there any different than anyone else.We should treat the people around us the way we want to be treated to.
This Bible verse speaks to me in a different way. It reminds me of the saying ” Eye for and Eye, Tooth for a Tooth”. Though the part that stuck out the most to me is “Forgive and you shall be Forgiven”. I am not sure why but it just feels like it punched me in a stomach.
Treat others as you want to be treated, and everything will be okay.
He is saying that however you treat others , then you will reiceve the same treatment from others. Also you rewards will be great in Heaven if you do these things and still pray and be humble for the lord.
God is telling me not to judge because when i judge it will hurt people and there is no reason i should judge if i don’t even want to be judged. We must always follow the golden rule and be kind to whoever we talk to or see.
Jesus tells me I can treat others as they want to be treated we ourselves cannot just make someone something that they are not and force them to and do not let other people influence you and other people.
I can apply this to my life by being extra kind to everyone like how God would want us to, like how he taught us to. I feel like the people of this world are commonly judged unfairly, and I will do my best to not be one of the unfair judges. If you would not like somebody saying to you what you would say to them, then don’t way it. Try to block out unfair judging in the mind too.
Treat others as you would like to be treated. I am definitely going to listen to this and use it in my life.
I think Jesus is saying to others the way you want to be treated. And if we treat others with kindness we will be rewarded in life. He wants us to be Christ like.
*treat
“Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
“Stop judging and you will not be judged.
Stop condemning and you will not be condemned.
Forgive and you will be forgiven.
Give and gifts will be given to you;
a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap.
For the measure with which you measure
will in return be measured out to you.” LK 6:36-38
This is telling me that we shouldn’t judge and if you forgive, you will be forgiven. And if we can just love as much as Jesus has loved us, the more you will be loved. We should keep the intention we have been given from Christ himself which is loving, kind, and Christ-Like. Our lives can be so much better if we just be like Jesus.
I can apply this to my life by doing good all of the time.
Don’t judge people because they look different form you we are all children in God
Jesus is saying to me that I need to be more patient with the people that test my patience, and that I am the one deciding whether I go to Heaven or not.
I learned to treat others how i would like to be treated.
I can apply this to my life by praying to God to help me be forgiving and with not judging so that I can make it to heaven
I can apply this scripture to my life by bumbling myself in anything that I do because I know that Jesus is always watching me. This is important so that we are being guided by Jesus and not the Devil. Jesus leads us in the right direction while the devil tempts us to go the wrong way.
Today’s Gospel tells us that we should treat others as we want to be treated, and that we shouldn’t judge others. I think this is important because in today’s world, it’s really hard not to judge people, because it’s almost like we’re trained to do it. I think the Gospel is really trying to tell us to be aware of that, and to try to do better.
I can apply this to my life by not judging others. Or to give and you will get something in return. We also need to learn how to treat others with kindness and we will get the same back.
I think that this piece of scripture is telling us to treat others with respect. We all want to be treated well and in order to be treated well, we have to treat others with dignity and respect. We must love one another and Christ is loving us. I think the part that says,”stop judging and you will not be judged.” For people my age, this really helps us because I know that nobody likes being judged. So we can learn from this by stop judging.
I think the scripture is telling us to give whatever we have and to be humble.
I can apply this to my life by always remembering that God is always watching over me, and that whatever I do he knows meaning that if I judge someone that he knows and I need to stop. I also need to treat others how i want to be treated.
In this scripture passage, I felt that we should try not to judge others because they could possibly do the same things to us and we probably wouldn’t feel that great. Our words and actions can really hurt people but Jesus and his endless love will always forgive us. We just need to get up and keep going and try to be better.
I can reflect on this by, knowing to help others when you can.
When we die, what we did and how we acted on earth reflects on how God will judge us. We must act as Jesus did and be kind to everyone, even people that aren’t kind to you.
The scripture is telling me that the way I treat others will directly relate to the way I will be treated, “Treat others the way you want to be treated.” Jesus says, “Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Give and gifts will be given to you,” which is saying that what we do, will be done to us. Finally, Jesus says, “For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you,” basically doubling down on the fact that what we give to others is what we will receive in return.
What I think God is trying to tell me in today’s scripture is that we shouldn’t judge others. I feel that almost everyone thinks they have the right to judge someone. Most of the time without even truly knowing the person. We all have problems in our lives. We have no idea what anyone is truly going through, therefore we have no right to judge. Also, we have all messed up or have done things that are bad or weird. I think that we should all live our own lives and worry about what we are doing rather than what others are doing. Jesus also said in the scripture not to condemn people. I feel that our faith is getting a bad name, because of the people in the Christian faith not being kind or welcoming to people that live different lifestyles, have different backgrounds, or believe in different things. Christianity is supposed to be about living a holy, faithful life, and being kind towards others. When people of our faith are telling people that they are “going to hell” for just being themselves or believing what they believe, they are being the opposite of Christian. As Christians we need to be respectful of others, even if we don’t understand them.
In this scripture it tells us not to judge. Judging people before you actually see there life will not give you a chance to actually get to know them. You have your own problems and don’t know what other people are going through. You should always be kind because no one is perfect.
the message of today’s gospel, is to use the golden rule and to not judge other people. One thing that I can do to not judge is to remember that no one is perfect, especially myself. We all need to be less judgmental and more humble so we can get to heaven.
This gospel is saying Treat each other as you want to be treated. He is saying if you be nice to someone they will be nice to you this is the golden rule.
I think I will use this gospel inside my life because the verses are really powerful. The words can change someones life.
I can apply this to my life by not judging other by what they do or say i can start praying every morning and night or when i get hope from school. I can also start praising the lord.
The scripture says not to judge people by the way they look or speak. You should also be treating people the way you want to be treated.
This scripture applies to me to treat others as you want to be treated if I am want to be treated kindly, treat others kindly. If I want to Judge, I will be judged. So Jesus is telling me to put others first.
in this scripture it is telling us that if we be nice than nice things will happen to us. the golden rule
This scripture tells us that we sould always do how you would want to be treated by others. Like the scripture says ” Forgive and you will be forgiven” the scripture says if we forgive others then we will be forgiven.
This scripture is basically saying the golden rule
What I’m getting out of this Gospel is that you have to treat others the same way you want to be treated.
