Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Jesus said to his disciples:
“Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. “Stop judging and you will not be judged.
Stop condemning and you will not be condemned.
Forgive and you will be forgiven.
Give and gifts will be given to you;
a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap.For the measure with which you measure
will in return be measured out to you.” LK 6:36-38
Today’s Gospel is taken from Luke’s Sermon on the Plain which is similar to the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew’s Gospel. The section today’s Gospel is taken from is “Love of Enemies” and how to treat our neighbor. What speaks to my heart the most is that we are all sinners. We fail to do the Father’s Will by judging, condemning, being selfish, labeling, and sinning.
I often see this in myself as a father trying to teach my own children to be holy. It’s hard. I sometimes get on them about something when I don’t model it well myself. It doesn’t mean that I stop disciplining with tough love, but I try to be mindful of how I am living what I am teaching them myself.
God will be the final judge of our lives and He judges. We are called to judge as fathers, mothers, teachers, judges, etc., but when we judge it must be based on God’s laws and He is love and mercy with justice. He has compassion (suffers with) on us, but He taught us sin has serious consequences. His love and mercy are so great that He gave His only Son to die for us. God’s love is more powerful than anything in the world! This is why He is so radical to teach to even love our enemies. This is crazy talk! This is radical love! God’s love overcomes everything and He wants to share it with you.
We are called to recognize the love and mercy the Father has for us, so that we too can love and be merciful to others. Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Are you willing to lose your pride and think of others before yourself in all that you do today?
Today’s challenge: Try to live without judging today, what someone is wearing, how they look, how they talk, what they said, and if they say something that hurts or offends you, be ready to forgive. Love the unlovable in your world today. Give expecting nothing in return. It’s hard being a Christian! Only with God’s grace can we fulfill what Jesus wants us to do in today’s Gospel.
Be a servant, become a saint!

Today’s Gospel is about how you should treat your neighbors. If you love them, then you will receive that love back. So I can use this to know how to treat my neighbors and how to receive treatment from my neighbors.
Nathan G.
When we give, we receive. When we forgive, we are forgiven. In order to get happiness in life, we must give all we can and we will receive eternal happiness.
when the scripture said, “Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. “Stop judging and you will not be judged.” I thought that if God is willing to forgive all are sin why aren’t we forgiving other people. We should for give other people so that they may forgive us. If we stop talking bad about other people they will stop gossiping about us.
The Gospel is saying today that we need to be merciful like our father is merciful to us. Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned.Forgive and you will be forgiven. Give and gifts will be given to you. Finally be kind and kindness will come back to you.
Today’s gospel is about that if you do something good than something good will happen to you.
Mr. Dappermint
The gospel is about the golden commandment which is “treat others as you want to be treated.” This tells me that if I treat someone else with hate I will receive that back from that person.
I feel like this is where the golden rule comes into play. If we do something bad, we are allowing others to do something bad to us in return. Same with the good things.
I think this scripture was telling me that whatever you do to your neighbor that is how they will treat you back. Just because someone treats us poorly does not mean we treat them poorly back.
I think today’s scripture passage is trying to tell us that others will treat us based on how we treat them. If we treat others with kindness, they will treat us with kindness in return.
I think that the scripture is Sauk g don’t be rude or mean and you will receive kind thoughts and actions.
Today’s scripture reflection has a very powerful meaning. I think today’s scripture reflection is telling us that we should treat everyone with respect if we want it in return. We can’t just go steal and be very angry when people steal from us. If we love one another, we will receive that love back. We should always be treating people the way we want to be treated because everyone wants to feel loved. Our world would be a way better place if we could all show love for one another.
I think that this means that be nice to your neighbors and your parents and your brothers and sisters
This gospel is really powerful because it tells us how to change something so effectual in our world. Jesus tells us that if we do the right act, it will be returned to us. This gives us hope in what we believe in and can help us be a better person on earth and help other people get to heaven.
When we do good things for other people we will be rewarded by God. It may not happen immediately or even in our time on Earth, but it will happen. When we help others it helps get us to Heaven and that is the greatest reward we can have. But helping others is also a reward in itself. That is why you get a good feeling when you do something for someone else. So the most important thing we can do today is to help someone who needs it.
what i think this is saying is that whatever we do to others they will do back to us. if we judge them, they will judge us. if we are kind to them they will be kind to us. what we do towards others will reflect how they will act towards us. so if we want to be treated kindly and in a good way we have to treat other people that way first.
This gospel tells me that I need to treat people with good respect and love. I need to do this app they can do the same back to me.
Today’s scripture almost as similar as the golden rule or the second Great Commandment. “Treat others as how you want to be treated.” “…love your neighbor as yourself.” We need to fully grasp that God loves us and we should spread the love He gave.
“Stop judging and you will not be judged.” For some odd reason, this line from the scripture just stuck out to me compared to the rest. This is wisdom at it’s absolute finest, and I love it. The idea of this line is pure genius. Stop being a hypocrite. It’s so simple, yet so effective, and I find that incredible.
The Scripture is telling us to be good to others and good will be done to you.
What stood out to me was, “Stop judging and you will not be judged.” It stood out to me because a lot of people judge others based on what they look like or sound like. It’s really wrong and if we haven’t walked in their shoes then we don’t understand what they’re going through.
I think that this Gospel is telling us that we need to follow the Golden Rule. This is basically a summary of what the Golden Rule is. You need to be nice to others if you want other people to be nice to you. If you are going to get to heaven, which required Jesus to die on the cross and sacrifice everything, you need to sacrifice everything to the people in your life. That doesn’t mean that you need to die for your friend, but you need to give them all of your care and compassion.
What sticks out to me in this Gospel passage is the part where Jesus tells us that if we forgive others, we will be forgiven in return by Him and others. I can apply this to my life by forgiving those who do me wrong and letting myself be forgiven as well.
The scripture is saying to me is that we should treat everyone the same and not do things we would not want others to do to us.
“Stop judging and you will not be judged.” This stuck out to me because when we judge other people we think its okay, but when someone judges us it is not fine. We should be kind to each other like Jesus wants us to.
Everyone is guilty of judging someone. Even the disciples and the saints. You don’t know the whole story. Only what you’ve seen. That person may be going through something or it may not be their day. “You shouldn’t judge a book by its cover” may be cliche, but it’s the truth. If you judge only by what you’ve seen, and don’t know the person or the full story you shouldn’t judge. Maybe comfort them or listen before you decide whether you should be their friends. But you shouldn’t condemn whether the person is good or evil, saint or sinner. That is up to God. You should try to help if you can, and if it’s asked, but in the end, it’s all up to God.
I think the scripture is quoting what the Golden-Rule is, to treat others as you want to be treated. Being a judge toward others will lead you to be judged as well. And when you are well and kind toward others they will most likely return the kindness.
Jesus has a great message for us. He tells us that how we help others is the same help we will get. We should always ask how can I help in the house. If we are kind to others we will be rewarded.
This passage reminds me of the golden rule in a way. “Forgive and you will be forgiven.” I have always kept in mind the golden rule and I feel that this passage is going into depths of it.
I think today’s Gospel is telling me to do the good and eventually, the good will come back to you. But, if you do the bad, bad things will come back to haunt you.
Scripture tells us that we need to follow the golden rule. We should treat others with love and kindness. We need to treat others the way we want to be treated.
In today’s gospel we are being told the age old message of “be the change you want to see” if you want people to be kind to you, you must be, if you want to have a peaceful world, you must be peaceful, you become a hypocrite if you want kindness but you yourself are unkind, or if you say you wish peace, but you yourself incite conflict.
Today, Jesus is telling us that we need to treat people the way we want to be treated. Don’t want to be judged? Then don’t judge. Don’t want to be condemned? Then don’t condem
God knows its hard to be merciful. We don’t need to use all these excuses and tell Him why it’s so hard for us to be merciful, He already knows. He’s to be merciful to us when we definitely don’t deserve it so I’d imagine He has the hardest time with it. He’s God and there’s no explanation for most things about Him so I guess we’ll have to ask Him if we get to Heaven if it’s hard to give us His mercy or if it’s just who He is. But God knows how it is, and He probably scoffs at us every time we try to justify why we treated somebody poorly. We treat Him so poorly the way we sin over and over again every day, but He still gives us mercy and He gave up His only son to save us as the greatest act of mercy.
Today’s Gospel is very strait forward with it’s message, whatever you do to other will be done unto you. It seems very simple, all we have to do is to be nice to others. But our human nature makes it very hard for us to be kind to someone who has done us wrong. And although we mess up a lot Jesus will always be there for us when we come back to Him.
What im getting from the scripture is that is that whatever good you do, you will receive something good for what you have done.
What im getting from the scripture is that is that whatever good you do, you will receive something good for what you have done. if you dont like being judge then you have to stop judging other, so that they dont judge you.
“Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Give and gifts will be given to you.” I find these lines to be especially important, because it reminds us that everything will never be unnoticed by God.
“Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. “Stop judging and you will not be judged.” Jesus tells us to strive to be like Him. Follow his teachings, example, and way of life. He knows we will not be perfect, but His model image is what we strive for.
We have to treat each other like we would treat ourselves. We are all in this world together. We are all here to help each other get to heaven and spend Eternal Life with Jesus.
I feel like Jesus is saying that if we show kindness towards others they will treat us with that same kindness.
If you do something good to another person something good will happen to you, but if you do something bad to another person it will happen back to you.
The reading today shows us that we are all on a journey to get to heaven and we have to “Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.” just as He says in the reading. I think this shows us how we can truly get to heaven and another way.
This scripture is telling us how to treat our neighbors. If we treat out neighbors with hatred and disgust when it’s judgement day, we won’t enter into heaven.
God judges us justly. If we judge others harshly, He will judge us the same way. You will get what you give to others, and God is merciful but He still treats everyone equally.
This scripture is telling me that we should forgive as God forgives us. When we do something bad God forgives us. Why don’t we forgive others? Why judge if you do not want to be judged? Whatever we do that is good, God will reward us.
Everything that you do always has a way of coming back to you, some things take longer over time some are in seconds but how we act, how we talk, how we make our choices always have a way of coming back to us.
This Gospel is telling us we should follow the Golden Rule. The Golden Rule is treat other how you want to be treated. We should do this because every time you do something good, something good will happen in return.
“Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. “ i saw this and said i need to ask for forgiveness from God and everyone i have heart. we need to admit that we have made mistakes and own up to them and say sorry to the one we heart.
We need to live our life as God wants us to live our life. Everyday we have choices, we need to start choosing the right ones.
In this scripture, we are taught how to forgive, to not judge, and to basically treat each other how we would want to be treated. We personally would not want to be judged or make fun of, so what makes us think that we should do the same to others? Though we treat others with respect and we may not be given those same actions back, you will be rewarded in heaven.
What this scripture reflection says to me is that we all need try our best to put goodness out in the world. Because whatever we put out in the world will come back to us. We could put out good things, and we will receive good things. But if we put out bad things, then we will receive bad things, especially in the end, when you could go to hell.
I think scripture is telling us to not judge or you will be judged. It’s like every man for himself only it’s reversed and judging is part of it.
This scripture kinda is teaching how to fulfill the Golden rule to love your neighbor as yourself as God loves you.
This is saying that we have to treat others the way we would want to be treated. If we treat people badly, then they woun’t like us, but if we treat people with respect, then they will be nice to us and mabye return our kindness.
“Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. “Stop judging and you will not be judged.” I think this is a huge part of our world. People will say something through a phone and then they just forget about it. But really the person they are making fun of or judging ends up being really hurt. I think Jesus is trying to tell us to be nice to others and we will not be made fun of.
Today’s Scripture passage is saying that God is the only true judge. We should do our best to not pass judgment on others just as we would not want judgment passed on us. We should love our enemy and show forgiveness. It is in forgiving that we free ourselves to fully accept God’s grace.
This scripture is talking about how that if we do something bad to someone it will always find a way to come back to us. If we follow the way of christ like today the scripture talks about how if we do not judge we will not be judged.
what I think this means is that however much you worship God is what he will repay you with. It will be easier to get to heaven and you will love him more than ever.
I think that this scripture is telling us exactly what the golden rule is and what we should do about that rule. Jesus is saying that if we don’t want to be judged than do not judge others and we should be doing that all day every day.
The gospel is telling me to do what is right. And to treat others the way you would what to be treated. Don’t be rude and mean to others if they are making you mad walk away be kind and always stay true to yourself.
I think this gospel means to be treated how you want to be treated. How you treat others is what that person will think of you in the future. This rule is very important because this is how friendships are made and also could be how friendships end. Its revolves on how you treat the person.
I think that this Gospel is saying that we need to treat others how we want to be treated. If we treat them with disrespect they will treat is with disrespect and God doesn’t want to see that or have that be done.
“Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. “Stop judging and you will not be judged. We need to stop looking at people and judging people before we even talk to them.
Judging is the worst sin of all because we are all sinners. Any sin is bad but we judge everyday. We should stop judging people and start looking at our self. “How can you notice the splinter in your brothers eye, but you can’t see the beam in your own eye.”
The scripture is telling us how we should follow the golden rule how we should love our neighbor as yourself.
Following the Golden Rule is key to loving God and your neighbor. “Love your neighbor as yourself”.
Whatever you do will be done to you. As humans sometimes we do whatever we want to people and then when something bad happens to us we get mad and act like we did not deserve it. But we do deserve every bad thing that happens. The only person who did not deserve to have anything bad happen to him was Jesus.
In Todays Scripture God is telling us to stop judging people when we have not even talk to them.
I think the Scripture is saying we have to treat others with the Golden Rule. Treat others the way you want to be treated. We should treat others with the Golden Rule because that is how Jesus treated others.
To me this mean that God is trying to tell us that we will be judged at the end of our lives and this judgment is no easy road. In fact it is the opposite of an easy road and will probably be the toughest part of our eternity.
I think this Gospel is saying that if we believe and the more we believe the more Jesus will be present and it’ll be easier to have faith that He is the real God. In order to do that we need to pray and continue praying.
Today’s Scripture is telling us to be good to others and good will be done to you.
This Gospel CLEARLY states the Golden Rule perfectly, and not the Golden Rule from Aladdin. ¨Do unto others as you would have others do unto you¨ This is a perfect example of how Jesus wants us to treat each other, and ourselves, too.
Do good and good will be done to you. This is what the scripture is talking about today. If we hate, hate is just going to come from it.
“Stop judging and you will not be judged.” This is the same as treat others the way you want to be treated. So take that and use it.
I beleave that this scripture is saying that we must fallow the golden rule and that we must treat others as we want to be treated.
I think this scripture is trying to tell us that we shouldn’t judge others. When we judge others, it’s often hypocritical. We are all sinners, there is no human that has not sinned. Humble yourself and recognize your sins. Not others’ sins, that’s between them and God.
“Love of Enemies” love you enemies as you love yourself. forgive others so you can be forgiven. if we treat others with kindness, they will treat us with kindness in return. God will forgive you no matter what.
