Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Jesus said to his disciples,
“Is a lamp brought in to be placed under a bushel basket
or under a bed,
and not to be placed on a lampstand?
For there is nothing hidden except to be made visible;
nothing is secret except to come to light.
Anyone who has ears to hear ought to hear.”
He also told them, “Take care what you hear.
The measure with which you measure will be measured out to you,
and still more will be given to you.
To the one who has, more will be given;
from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.” MK 4:21-25
Jesus teaches us today that He sees everything. He is the Light. The Light casts away darkness. St. Francis says, “All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.” Jesus conquered sin and death and saved us. We will be judged by this Light. The Light reveals everything we try to hide on judgement day that we have not asked forgiveness for. God is merciful, but also just! God made us in His image and likeness, takes away our Original Sin and replaces it with sanctifying grace, and Jesus breathes the Holy Spirit into us so that we would have nothing to hide. What are you hiding? What do you not want others to know and see. Work on it, bring it to Jesus and ask Him to uproot it.
The Truths revealed by Christ for the salvation of the world are not to be hidden. We are made out of love, it is not made to be held on to. We are called to read these Truths, memorize them, and live them in our actions. There is nothing more important than the Good News, Christ has risen, our sins are forgiven through baptism, and we are free from the bondage of sin and death.
We get so distracted from the most important thing that has been passed down to us. Jesus has risen. He is fully alive in the Eucharist, the Word, and the Holy Spirit is in us! Pass it on! The more love and compassion we give the more we recognize God’s love and compassion on us. The more generous we are with others the more we recognize the generosity God has with us. The more we forgive the more we learn of God’s mercy on us. The more we search out our identity and gifts God gave us to share with others and glorify Him, the more we recognize our purpose and live with passion and mission.
Today’s challenge: Find Truth, share love, live with passion! God is waiting for you to cooperate with Him and set the world on fire!
Be a servant, become a saint!

This is telling us that we need to be the light of the world and help everyone else.
In today’s Scripture Jesus is telling us what we do will affect how we are treated. If we are nice to people then we will be treated nicely but if we are rude and mean to others then we won’t be treated that well. He also tells us that we need to be thankful for what we have and use our gifts with respect to get closer to God.
I think this is saying that Jesus overcame the darkness, in which we should too. We’re not perfect, but Jesus is going to help guide us. He gives us the light that fights the darkness in our lives too. He’s there for every single one of us. He cares for us, and he wants us to get to Heaven. You just have to accept his help.
What I learned from this gospel was that I should love myself for who I am. Since God has made me out of love and he put thought into me, I should not hate what he made. I should love what he made, and that is myself. That also goes for other people to, we should not hate on them just because they look or act different. We should all love what God made with no exception.
In today’s Gospel light overcomes darkness and gets rid of it. With lots of light there is no darkness. So when we are going through a tough time, we need to think of the good things and make out light in ourselves shine brighter than the dark of the darkness in you.
“The measure with which you measure will be measured out to you.” What we do to other people not only affects other people, but it also affects us. We need to treat other people how we want to be treated because in the end that is how we will be judged in Heaven based on how we treated other people on earth.
I think Jesus is saying what ever we do is not a secret He knows what we do. It’s kinda like foot prints in the sand what ever we do is known. Jesus is the light and he shines His light on our sins and brokenness to help us fight them.
I can apply this to my life by excepting all God has done for me and realize that he did everything he could to save us.
“Is a lamp brought in to be placed under a bushel basket or under a bed, and not to be placed on a lamp stand?” This light is Jesus Christ, the light in the darkness, the path to safety. If we shut out the light, we are blinded, unable to see what is coming. If you carry the light with you, everywhere you go, Jesus will be there whispering in your ear. Guiding you to the correct decision.
Today the scripture is telling me that Light has many forms. It is enlightenment, joy, and presence. In times of darkness Light can reveal something wonderful to us, make something small brighten our day, or just let us feel the Presence of God.
Jesus says “Is a lamp brought in to be placed under a bushel basket or under a bed, and not to be placed on a lampstand?” He says this because we need to shine our light in the darkness. Like when others are down, we show them our light in the darkness.
I think the God is trying to say that Even if you give a little you will receive even more. If you have things to give, give it. God will show you more. When God comes into your heart all bad is destroyed by God’s light.
We all have our own talents. Our light. When we don’t try to use our talents to help others and ourselves, we are placing our light out of sight, so others may not see it. We need to continue praying and helping others. We should not be afraid to show our true selves. With Social Media, it has become popular to be fake. When you act as someone that you are not, you are just digging yourself deeper and deeper into a hole filled with lies and suffering.
Today Jesus is saying that he is shinning his light on us but we have to be willing to see it and act in it. But we can’t try and hide in the light. He can see things we can’t and no matter how hard we try to keep something from God it will never truly be hidden.
we cant keep hiding from life we need to face is as to say like the lamp the lamp it only can be great if not hiding.
When it says “Take care of what you hear.” in my mind that is like if someone says to you something important and they chose you God says not to gossip. To me God is helping you by saying of you hear something that should not be spread then why spread it, for people to like you more, no they intended that statement or message for you only.
Why do we, in our everyday lives, try to hide from God? How can we hid from light and love, if even darkness is luminous in His eyes? He has created us in His own likeness and image. He has taken away the sins of this world. What is there to hide from Him? For there is nothing that can be hidden, and everything that is hidden will be revealed. He has taken us from the darkness and into the light. We should not be of this world, but of the world to come.
This scripture is about Jesus always watching over us. The scripture says,”To the one who has, more will be given”, meaning that doing good and choosing God will always put you in a better situation. Our light overcomes our sadness and Jesus is our light in our heart making us full.
This… Jesus says, Nothing is hidden except to be made visible. God sees everything. Jesus tells us that in a discreet way. We have nothing to hide. We ought to Open our hearts to Jesus, shed light on our broken souls. Through confession, Jesus sheds light on our souls, healing us.
this Gospel God has made the lights of our world. His light will still show through the darkness.
Today Jesus is trying to say that He can hear what we say to ourselves or to other people and any actions we do He can see us do them
In this scripture it says
“Is a lamp brought in to be placed under a bushel basket
or under a bed,
and not to be placed on a lampstand?
This is saying that you should not hide your faith you should show it to the wold and let everyone see
I think this scripture is telling us that we can’t hide anything from Jesus. Jesus can see everything you do even if your hiding. I think its also telling us that we don’t need to keep secrets from people. We just need to relize that Jesus can see everything we do. All the bad and good.
It is saying that we are worried that people would judge us so we would hide, but when we go to confession we get all the judgement taking away from us and we are forgiven.
Jesus tells us that any secret we keep will eventually be shone to everyone. So instead of trying to hide things be free to share. Even your problems with people you can trust.
In this Gospel it is telling me that I need to be the light of the world and overcome the darkness in the world. I know this because in the gospel it says “ Is a lamb placed into a bushel basket or under a bed? And not placed on a lamp side? This Is telling us that we need to be the light of the world.
What reached out to me was, “whoever has ears ought to hear”. What this means to me is that God has given us so much to work with, and we need use all of it to help us get to him. If everybody does their best with what they have, nothing can stop us.
What I think Jesus is trying to say is that we got to use our talents for good things. If you have a talent with math, pursue a career in math. Or, if your athletic then play that sport you like. If you don’t like doing something then don’t do it and do something you like to do.
I think in today’s scripture we are told by God we need to listen to him. He is trying to talk to us so much but we always take it for granite. He even says “Take care what you hear.” Take care of my words is what He is telling us. He has so much power and love and we need to acknowledge what He is trying to say.
I think this scripture is trying to tell us that we need to listen to Jesus Christ. We need to do that by participating in the mass, and actually talking to Jesus while praying, and realize that the mass isn’t just a bunch of words it is Jesus himself giving his whole self.
Since Jesus is the light He can show us anything. He can show us His Father’s word or which way to go in life. He can guide us through the hardships in life. The Light also reveals what we keep in our hearts. But, we have to fully accept to will of God to see The Light. We can’t hide and turn away from God. We have to love Him. He has taken away all our sins, and is trying to show us a new way to live. So why do we hide?
This scripture and all of the scripture like this will be about Jesus watching over us all of the time when we read these scriptures on TheWayJc.com because this is were you can read a whole lot of scriptures.

The line that stuck out to me is when Jesus said. “ take care of what you hear. That makes me think that what we hear from God we should ponder a bit about what he just said to us. I feel like sometimes we hear things and blow it off, but we need to take a second to think about what we just heard, because it might be beneficial.
This gospel tells us that if we judge others, God will judge us. It says, “the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you.” Another thing this passage tells us is that we should be a light and shine with God’s grace. We should also listen to good things. God gave us ears so that we can listen to His good news.
this Gospel God has made the lights of our world. His light will still show through the darkness.
I feel like this scripture is saying that everything has a meaning. Just like how a lamp is supposed to go on a lamp stand. We are supposed to be here on earth for whatever God has chosen for us.
Every human ever to exist is important to God. They should know the word of God and not be pushed away from the Faith. We should spread the word and invite everyone into our faith
The Scripture is telling us to use our abilities that has been given to us and use them to do what God has comanded us to do with them and that we shouldnt do nothing with them.
this tells me what we do will directly translate to how people will treat us . that is why er need to act in the ways of God and people will treat us right.
God says that we need to listen to his teachings and listen when he guides us to the right this because he will judge us when we die. At our death Jesus will be there to judge when we have followed him and when we didn’t and thats why we need to stop ignoring Gods call.
“For there is nothing hidden except to be made visible” God does not hide anything from us. He tells us the cold, hard truth. But he keeps nothing hidden. He has no secrets, we just need to ask him.
I think today’s scripture passage is trying to tell us that God sees everything and we can’t hid things from him. We should not keep secrets from him or anyone else. God always sees and knows everything no matter what.
“Take care of what you hear” this really stood out to me. I think that this means that we should take care of the Word of Jesus. We should respect scripture. We should not disrespect the Word of God Himself.
Jesus is telling us that he is the light and we should follow Him. He will take us on the road to Heaven. He’s also saying that we need to take a break from all of the commotion in life and focus on Him, and try to hear Him communicating to us.
I think this scripture is trying to tell us that Jesus knows everything. He can see everything we do. We can’t hide anything from, so when commit a sin, but we think Jesus won’t notice or won’t see us commit it. We are wrong. Anything we do he will see. We need to think about that before we do something bad, so that we do something good instead.
I think this Scripture passage is saying that nothing is hidden from God. When we die and final judgement comes, our sins will not be hidden from God, but rather on full display. If we do good, we will be rewarded with good (Heaven). But if we sin, we get punished in hell. We get what we give.
I think this Scripture is talking about how we can’t hide anything from god. It says “For there is nothing hidden except to be made visible;
nothing is secret except to come to light. Anyone who has ears to hear ought to hear.” He also told them, “Take care what you hear.” And that we should not hide our faith. We need to let the world know who saved us.
This Scripture is telling us that God knows everything about. He knows what we do and what goes on inside our heads. Jesus is hear to help us do the right things and to help us control what we hear. We need to choose what is good for us not the bad.
Jesus says, “…nothing is secret except to come to light.” He won’t keep a single secret from us. He will always be transparent with us, and never lie. If we need Him, we will give us the Truth. He will give us happiness and life. So, call upon Him and let Him give you the true Truth.
I think it is saying that God is the Light of the world and our sin is the darkness. It is saying that the light will always over come the darkness. He is saying that the more we follow Christ and pray then the darkness will slowly become lighted.
God overcomes everything that is in this world.
God overcomes everything that is in this world and we should be thankful.
A phrase that has meaning to me is, “All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.” This has meaning because the light will never fade and the darkness will eventually go away. We can read scriptures, talk to God, or just breath and the darkness will fade and the light will become stronger.
I think when it says “To the one who has, more will be given; from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away” it means that the one who had everything in life will have nothing after life and because he did not share what he had during his life with those that had nothing.
Jesus is the light that overcomes darkness.
In today’s gospel I learned that I need to learn to love myself for who I am and what I am meant to be. I need to stop letting the people around decided who I am. I need to take control and be myself and not who others want me to be.
I think it means Jesus isn’t hiding anything from us, we just need to go find it through pray and stewardship. So when we feel like God is hiding the good things from us and our lives we need to remember that we’re the reason we can’t find the goodness in our lives.
The Gospel today is telling me that we should not be afraid of God. God knows everything we do and we can’t be afraid. He has done so much for us like save us from our sins and we need to appreciate that.
“Anyone who has ears is ought to hear” we need to hear God’s call hear God in prayer listen more talk less and better things will come not only for our life on earth but our spiritual life with God in heaven.
This scriputre reflection tells me that we all need to learn to listen for Jesus. He wont come to us, we need to come to him. When we do come to him, it will be eternal peace.
In the Gospel, I believe I am getting told that we should all overcome the darkness and have the light shine over all of us because there is nothing we shall feel when we have God beside us. He knows how to conquer our fears and we know that He will defend us every day with our guardian angels.
The part that sticks out to me is “Is a lamp brought in to be placed under a bushel basket or under a bed, and not to be placed on a lamp stand?”. The purpose of lighting a lamp is to have light so you are not going to hide it where no one can see it because then there wouldn’t be any light and that would defeat the purpose. We are like the lamp because we all have a purpose that needs to be seen and shared with other people. Our purpose is to love one another and get to heaven so we can be with God forever.
This scripture is telling me that God sees everything. God is like the lamp or the light of the world. What have we to hide? We should stop sinning. We should also give to those who need it. For what we measure will be measured out for us.
I think this is saying that the Lord knows us and wants us to grow close to Him. Also how we have to listen, whether its our vocations or a sign the Lord is trying to tell us. And what we hear we have to answer and respond.
One phrase that stuck out to me was, “for there is nothing hidden except to be made visible.” I think Jesus is saying that he can see everything. There is no point in trying to hide from him or show that you can defend yourself without him. It would be no use. Jesus knows everything that goes on in our daily lives. He wants us to pray so that we can have a better relationship with Him. I not only need to pray, but act on what I think is the right thing to do. I forget constantly that Jesus is always with me and that He is the way, the truth, and the life.
“For there is nothing hidden except to be made visible” Seems kinda out of place right? Talking about a lamp going under a bed or being covered. But everything hidden or covered will be made seen. Jesus can see it. No matter how much you try to hide the darkness and cover it up. Jesus is the light. He sees it all. He knows it. We can’t cover him to hide our darkness. The light chases away darkness. Let Jesus take away yours.
Today Jesus is telling us that nothing is hidden to him and that he sees everything. He tells us that we don’t need to keep anything hidden, but if we do try to he will see it. He sees our hearts and knows what we feel, yet he stills wants us to bring it to him. Where do we get off thinking that we can hide from the most powerful being in the entirety of existence. He was before existence, he was before time, he was before everything. How mind boggling is that, that he is before our mortal relm. Its nuts! He sees everything because he is the reason that thought exists. He’s the reason that our mind can think that thought, so where do we get off thinking we can hide from the being that created us
In today’s gospel God is telling us this common since thing, that still hits so hard. a thing is made to be as it is, a lamp to give light, and ears to hear, what is a secret if not something to eventually be told? what is hidden in darkness that will not come to light? A thing is as it is, and should be used for it’s purpose, we are humans, our purpose is to know love and serve God. and yet Jesus cautions us:
“Take care what you hear.” its so interesting, what are ears for but to hear? but still you must control the use, they were not meant for hearing gossip of bad things, but for the good news and the joy of the Lord. what secret should be hidden away, when a secrets purpose is to be eventually brought out? what thing in darkness should hold on to the darkness, when it was meant to be brought to light? what is a child of God doing, shying away from their Father, when that is their purpose?
In this Gospel Jesus is shining his light of glory on WE the people. Jesus knows what we are thinking about and what we do. Jesus knows our actions every single day. WE the people need to see that bright light Jesus is shining on us and reflect on it and spend some time in prayer with him. Jesus knows everything we do.
I think Jesus is trying to tell us that we should not hid a gift that has been given to us buy God. If God created you as a good athlete you should not hide your skill. Just like you should not put a lamp under a bed. You should not use the skill for your self either. Instead you should use your skill to help other people. You can show a friend how to get better at a certain sport. You should share the gifts God has given you and also thank God for those gifts.
I think this is telling me that Jesus is the reason we have everything we have today. He knows what we do it’s not like we can keep any secrets from Him, He will always know. We shouldn’t take things for granted. God makes sure we are the happiest we can be, because He is always there. It is our decision whether to acknowledge Him or not, and if we do acknowledge Him, if we follow Him or not. He has opened the gates of Heaven, so that we may live an eternal life with Him, but it is our choice whether we listen or not.
“For there is nothing hidden except to be made visible;”. God made us so that we could stand out and shine brightly proud of ourselves and in God. Many of us are scared to show or preach the Word of God in public. Maybe because many would feel that they would have backlash, or even have hard time. God never promised us to not suffer. We should trust God and let Him lead us.
This scripture tells of Jesus seeing us and everything around us. Our thoughts and actions cause us to fall into darkness. He is the light to that darkness. If we are to set our light on our lampstand the light is cast out revealing everything for us to see. if we conceal the light, it brings darkness. We need to know Jesus is the light to uproot the darkness and brokenness. He is there for us. Always.
This scripture reminded me that God is the center of our life and that he is not to be set aside in our life, and that he is the light of our life, and that we should focus on only him, because he is the center of our life and he made us to worship him and get to heaven.
Jesus is saying that if were hiding something God already knows what were hiding and eventually those things that were hiding will be exposed to people
we should always “over come the darkness”, the darkness is the devil.and we are trying to fight of temptation of the devil.
I feel like this is telling me to appreciate everything God has done for us. Also God overcomes everything in this world and he always should come first.
For there is nothing hidden except to be made visible; nothing is secret except to come to light. I think this is trying to remind us that we need to be open with God and that Gd is always here for us when we need him.
In this scripture passage I fell like Jesus is saying that anything we do he knows because he says “For there is nothing hidden except to be made visible.” I think this means we cannot escape Jesus and he will always be there and because of that this means that if we are doing something sinful he is right next to you watching you do it which should make you feel guilty about it.
todays scripture tell us to be the light of the world and spred the good news about the gospel, and to be joyful about it.
I think that this Gospel is telling us to follow our hearts in what ever way Jesus wants us to. He is our light and should never be dismissed. So that is why we put Him on our lamp stand. We “put” him there so that we can always see Him and know where He is. He will always be there for us, we just have to listen to Him and have Him be in our sight.
Our purpose as catholic’s is not to hide our faith because we are embarrassed or just because we do not want to. We are called to proclaim our faith as loud as we can because it is not something that we should be ashamed of. As humans we sin and disappoint God every single day but he is not embarrassed of us, so what reason do we have to be embarrassed of him? That he died the worst death so that we who are not worthy can live in eternal peace with God. Or is it because he will love us no matter what. Jesus will never give up on us not even when we are at the lowest point of our lives and all we do is sin and live for the world so why do we abandon him?
Jesus is telling us that we can tell Him anything in today’s passage, and that nothing is a secret to Him. He knows you, he knows how many hairs are on the top of your head, and He wants you to be with Him. In prayer, we talk to God and tell Him what’s on our heart. Today, let us KNOW Him, and let Him KNOW us.
In today’s Reading Jesus is saying that there will be a light shining in our darkness. He is represented as the light. He is here to guide us through our darkness. The darkness is our sins, but no matter what He will give us a path out.
“Anyone who has ears to hear ought to hear.” Jesus is the lamp in this story. He is meant to be placed on the lamp stand. Not swept under the carpet or put under the bed but out in the open. His light reaches everywhere. It pierces the darkness from any distance. God is this light and he sees what goes on in the light and the darkness. I think we need to stop hiding in the darkness “sin” and step into the light so we can truly see God.
What I got out of this Scripture passage was that everything is right in front of my eyes. Everything I need to get to Heaven, and everything I need to get my friends to Heaven. I need to start paying better attention. I’m missing all these signs from God and messages He’s trying to send me. Something that stuck out to me was when it says, “Anyone who has ears to hear ought to hear.” I have eyes, I have ears, I have a brain, and I have a heart. I haven’t been using my heart to love Jesus, using my eyes to read the bible, using my ears to hear for Jesus, or using my eyes to see what’s right in front of me. These are all things I need to work on, but first I need to accept God’s help because without God none of this is possible.
I think that this scripture passage is trying to display the message of, “Treat others how you want to be treated.” When Jesus says, “The measure with which you measure will be measured out to you.” He means that however harshly you judge people is how harshly you will be judged when it is your time. If all that you do is judge people and make fun of them when they aren’t the same as you, you will be judged very extremely by God after you die. We shouldn’t need any more reasons to be kind to people but this is definitely one of them. This is a very easy reading to understand and I think that the message relates to Father Jarodd’s homily on Tuesday, If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all. It is very simple but hard to put into affect in your life but if you can manage this simple task you will be a great person.
To me this means that nothing to God is secret including all of us to Him. It feels that he is trying to tell us to be ourselves and not try to be someone else. You can’t hide and be somebody else all the time. Sometimes your gonna have to be yourself whether you like it or not.
Today Jesus is teaching us that He is the Light. He is always shinning down on us, and when that happens we have to go and pray with Him. The light (which is God) cast away the darkness. So that means when we are sad or lonely He will always be there with us to, and when we die we will be judge by the Light.
In today’s gospel God has told me that he sees everything. He is the light and he casts away the darkness.
A phrase that stands out to me in today Scripture is “For there is nothing hidden except to be made visible”. I think that this line in important because i can probably apply to all of our lives. I think everyone has a secret and this phrase points out that there is no use in it being hidden because in the end God sees all. I think that it can also be motivation to try and be as open as possible to the people we love so that our secrets won’t hurt them later on.
A phrase that stands out to me in today Scripture is “For there is nothing hidden except to be made visible”. I think that this line in important because i can probably apply to all of our lives. I think this Scripture passage is saying that God overcomes all things in the world He created. We should use our talents He’s given us and use them to do good. Help those in need, be the better person because that would be want Jesus would want us to do. By sinning we are going to be in the darkness, by not sinning and making things all about you will put you towards the light. By being with the Lord and by praying to Him about our problems will also help us be in the light.
Our life’s purpose is to pray to God and to do what he wants us to do.
I think that what this is saying is that when we do something even if no one around us sees what we do God always sees what we do. Whatever our actions are God always sees no matter what.
I think that his scripture is telling us to not take our lives for granted because God let us be able to hear speak and see and we act like we can do that on our own and without God. It seems like in our life today more and more people don’t think of God when something happens that is good in our life and they take themselves for granted and they start to think that they are all that.
“nothing is secret except to come to light.” I think this supposed “light” is meant to be Heaven, and what is being said here is that the way to Heaven is kind of being kept behind locked doors and Jesus has come to unlock those doors.
We need to face life even though it will be rough and we can’t always see thee out come just choose the path you think is right for you and with the best outcome for you and your friends and family around you.
Today’s scripture is very powerful and meaningful. Today Jesus is saying that he is shining his light on us and is willing to, but we have to be willing to see it and act on it and in it. We can´t try and hide in the light because we know that will not ever work. He can see all things we can not and no matter how much we try and keep a secret from God, it will never be hidden. He knows everything. Come Holy Spirit.
In the scripture it is saying you shouldn’t hide things, but he is also saying don’t hide that you have a religion don’t hide that you pray. Jesus wants us to go out in the world and preach the goodness of God.
This gospel is very inspiring to me. God made all of us and he did not create us to be invisible we were made to be seen. If you have a lamp you would not just put it under a bushel basket if you needed the light. God did not give us ears to hear bad words or gossip. God made us to go out in the world and spread the good news to everyone. Most of us have social media, and instead of using these platforms to teach about God we make these platforms about hate, envy, and jealousy. We all need rethink what we do on a daily basis and do what God created us to do, Love everyone and teach about the faith.
The scripture today means to me that even when you do try to keep a secret it will not be a secret to God, he hears and sees all. He gives to those who need more to give and takes away from people who need less to give more. Everyone can see and everyone can hear so your actions will always be seen or heard by at least one person.
The Gospel is saying God is the light of the world. He is the only light inside the darkness. He makes things brighter. If we follow that light we will make it to Heaven. Heaven is the goal. It seems like a simple enough goal, but it is not. A goal isn’t always easy to follow through. We may even lose sight of our goal. We can make it to Heaven if we trust and fully believe in God.
I think this scripture passage is talking about how all things comes to light. God is light and sin is darkness. Light will be cast over the world at the end of time.
Jesus sees everything that we do, and there is no way to hide anything from Him, so why do we even try? When we go to confession and don’t tell a sin because we are afraid that the priest will judge us later because of it, we need to remember that it’s not the priest hearing our confession, it’s Jesus. The priest won’t remember what we told him, because it wasn’t him who forgave our sins. It was Jesus in that confessional, listening to our sins, giving us penance, and forgiving our sins. It was JESUS who was there, in that room, giving us advice on what to do to help us not repeat that sin. It wasn’t the priest, it was Jesus. So we don’t need to hide anything. Jesus is always there, and He will always love us, no matter what.
I think that this scripture is trying to tell us that God should be the most important thing in our life. God gave us free will and a conscience, he wants us to use those to get to heaven. Using our conscience and free will to make poor decisions is giving Satan what he wants. If we make good decisions and pay attention to God, it will prove to Him that we are worthy to live with him in heaven forever.
I think the Gospel is saying that we need to go into the light. We need to go into it and be ourselves because when you are in the present of God you don’t need to be anybody that we are not. My last reason is that we need to thank God for being with us the whole until we die then we can sit right beside him.
“For there is nothing hidden except to be made visible” what I think Jesus is trying to say here is that we need to realize nothing is hidden from him. He sees all we do and I think he is telling us to get our act together and do what we were put on this earth to do.
jesus is still a livei anr harst and the r for us
I think the gospel is trying tell us that God sees everything. He sees every sin he saw every single thing you did in your life. So that means we need to see more. We need to realize all the bad things we do and start to do the good things instead. That´s why there is confession its there to fix and the bad things you did in your life. Its a way that you know God forgives you. We need to hear and see the better things in life.
Today’s Gospel is telling me not to gossip. He says “Take care of what you hear.” which is saying to keep a secret. Unless the secret is bad and you need to tell someone it. Try no to cause any problems because no one likes problems.
I think that the scripture is telling us that Jesus is the light. The light that can´t be extiguished. The light that repels all darkness. The light that sees everything. The light that gets rid of the devil. If we follow the light, we will find eternal life.
I think that when the scripture says, “To the one who has, more will be given; from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away,” it means that what you do will come back to you. If you do something, something will come back, if you don’t, then the things that you could have gotten will be taken away.
Jesus teaches us today that He sees everything. Jesus teaches us everything.
In the scripture Jesus is telling us that he is our father he knows everything even what we try to hide from him. So it is no use trying to hid how we feel or as Adam and Eve did trying to hide from God. Even when we are scared and hurt god can always see and hear us as well so can we.
The ones who have faith will be given more of God’s grace and mercy. The one who doesn’t have faith may not receive his grace and mercy. We have to use all of our mind, soul and strength to praise and worship his holy name.
