Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.
As Jesus drew near Jerusalem,
he saw the city and wept over it, saying,
“If this day you only knew what makes for peace–
but now it is hidden from your eyes.
For the days are coming upon you
when your enemies will raise a palisade against you;
they will encircle you and hem you in on all sides.
They will smash you to the ground and your children within you,
and they will not leave one stone upon another within you
because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.” Lk 19:41-44
Jesus wept? We all know how we feel when we see someone weeping. We instantly show compassion and reach out to them. Sometimes we forget that Jesus is human. He is weeping over Jerusalem not seeing God in their midst at this moment. The One to save them. The most important lesson though is, “If this day you only knew what makes for peace.” If you do not make Jesus the center of your life (eat, sleep, and breathe Him), then you will not have peace. Our hearts desire peace, heaven.
The opposite? Destruction. The beautiful thing is that God gives us a free will to choose. We get to choose our destiny, Christ already paid the bill for our sins. I am sure you have tried a lot of other things to bring you peace, I know I have. Give Jesus a try. You will not be let down.
Today’s challenge: When you weep, remember Jesus wept too. Jesus died to be with you in your weeping. Allow Him in. Give Jesus a chance to bring what your heart desires, peace.
Be a servant, become a saint!

I will reflect upon this scripture by praying every day and every night.
I can apply this to my life by enjoying the beauty in all life and things and take care of all things not just the most important things.
This scripture comforted me by telling me that Jesus suffered even more than we did so when we are sad or depressed we know Jesus went through almost everything we go through.
Today in the scripture Jesus talks about how he walked into a city and starts to weep. What we can take away from this is that, we aren’t the only ones who go through hard times. Jesus cried too and in order for us to realize that we need to let him into our boat.
Stand for what you believe
You need to believe in Jesus or he will weep over you not believing in him. Know that he’s always looking over you.
i got that you have to recognize you moment to beleive. You have to be ready for that monet you can train in prayer, meditation and just being nice to others.
I can reflect on this by prioritizing God before everything.
Jesus was a human too and he showed emotions just like us. We need to be kind in every situation and always show Christ through us.
what I took away from this is that Jesus wept for us because he realized we were unsafe without God in our mist. Without Jesus our life and everything around us crumbles and without a strong structure such as God we have nothing until we believe once again
I can apply this to my life by enjoying the beauty in all life and things and take care of all things not just the most important things.
In today’s scripture Jesus is telling us that when the truth is hidden from our eyes our enemies will attack us, so when we find the truth we will go towards God and we won’t have to suffer anymore.
What I can take away from this is that Jesus knows our pain and is suffering with us. We don’t believe he did because He is God’s son so he must have had a better life then us but He didn’t. We can’t see that Jesus suffered not on the cross but when we don’t believe in Him. When we weep or cry Jesus is there to but we are to selfish to realize.
What Jesus is saying to me is that is God is not the center of my life than there will not be peace, and our hearts desire Heaven and peace. God gives us a free will and it is up to us to make a decision on what we are going to do, and these choices will guide us to Heaven or hell. We have to chose.
I will apply this to my life my remembering that God gives everything to me. God should be the number one thing in my life because I need God but God does not need me. With God and through God I can do great things.
We have to let him into our life by following him and letting him in our life. And let him be apart of us and we will have peace in heaven.
If God is against destruction then why do we destroy things? Good things, like churches, and other holy buildings or objects. Why do we decide to destroy good, holy things, even lives, through abortions and murder, but why in the world do we do it??? We need to think about how we are hurting God when we destroy people, sometimes we destroy other people’s souls, when we put them down, and we destroy our own souls when we put ourselves down or do bad things. I am not sure if that is what the gospel was about but it kind of seemed like it so, sorry if its not
Jesus is both human and divine. Why? Reasons that would be too hard to explain. (“There were other things that Jesus did, but if I put them in this book, I don’t think that the whole world of books would be able to contain them.” Jn 21:24) Because of this, Jesus has our emotions. He has our thoughts, our angers, and our sadnesses. It would be better to die than to see Jesus weep. It is heartbreaking to sin. Jesus loves us so much, that even we can’t contain it.
It’s sad that Jesus physically feels sorrow and weeps for an entire city. To be that oblivious of the living God being among the common citizen and not acknowledge it is unreal and I almost feel bad for them. Jesus Christ was literally eating with them and they think he’s a carpenter and not the Son of God. This is an example of how easily people can have wool pulled over their eyes, even to the extent that they pull it over their own eyes. We need to do as you, r. Goertz, says and,”Let Jesus into our boats!”
Jesus wept because the city was crazy.
A few ways I can allow this scripture into my life is by praying and asking God to bring peace into my life.
I can apply this to my life by not laughing at others when they cry about something but comfort them because I know they are human to
If we believe in God we will be at peace
This passage is stating that even though Jesus is God he can still cry even though we think that, oh this man is too strong to cry and that he would be a baby in these days if he was a regular man but people back then didn’t know that this man was our God and he came to save us for our sins.
I can reflect on this by praying, and read a scripture in the bible every day.
This show us that we are not alone. Jesus went through all the hard times and suffering, if not more, that we are going through. He wants to be there for us, we just have to let him in.
I can reflect on this by knowing if i am sad Jesus is sad too, and that He just wants to be closer to me. So I will put my bible on my pillow.
Before I do something I can think, “will this bring my to Heaven, or will this turn me away from God.”
Jesus is always by your side no matter what. He has gone through tremendous pain and we need to realize that he did it for us.
Today in this scripture passage I get that we have to take our suffering and offer it up to God. We have to take anything we are mourning about and pray about offer up your pain and suffering to God and Jesus.
We need to see that Jesus was once human, and He has already been through what we are going through and more. God knows what is best for everyone, we should listen to Him.
When we believe in Jesus, we can see the world how it could be. We are blind to the world around us, but more importantly, we are blind to Jesus’ love for us and the world. When we start to believe in Him, we can see clearly all the gifts he has given us.
This scripture passage tells me to let Jesus into my heart. That is all he desires so let’s accept his offer. It is also interesting to believe that our God wept and that makes me feel that when I am sad that I can definitely turn to him for comfort.
This scripture is telling me that Jesus was crying because of us so we need to think of Jesus when we start to feel down, and everything that he has done for us. Because we need to stop ignoring him and start to fallow with what he says and does.
Jesus is telling us we need today what needs to be said some times and that we need to take down the wall we put around our self.
I can apply this to my life by knowing that Jesus wept. When I weep, I can remember that He wept as well. After I weep, I can pray for peace. A peace where no friends can betray me and no bad thoughts or actions can occur.
I think we can use today’s scripture by remembering that Jesus is human. And because He is human we need to remember that every time we sin, a little bit of His heart breaks. I think we all need to try to be nicer to one another not just for today but for as long as we live.;
This scripture can be applied to our lives. We are constantly weeping over things that we don’t need to weep over and we don’t relize that we are not the only ones weeping, Jesus is weeping with us.
We should have peace not destruction. We have a lot of destruction these days, that’s because we aren’t letting Jesus into our boat.
This seems very appropriate because we had a journal question in social studies asking if we wanted to know you heroes/idols flaws or mistakes. My response was that i would want to know them because its reassuring that no one is perfect and that when we see their flaws or mistakes that we are just like them. So Jesus should be our hero he should be the person that we wake up and think about he should be the person that we think is great , most super hero story lines are based on saving the world but when Jesus died on the cross he saved everything that has ever existed or will exist because he payed for our sins and brought us closer to God.
we can apply this to our lives. We are constantly weeping and we think that we are alone, but we are not alone. Jesus is right there with us weeping also.
You need to pray and believe in Jesus or he will weep over you not believing in him.
I can apply this to my life by showing love and care to all things, not just the things I want to love and care for. Jesus wants us to know that we all have hard times but as long as we have hope, you can make it through all of them.
What I think God is trying to tell me today is that God truly loves us. We may not realize it, but he loves us. The reason he wept was that He knew everything and knowing what would happen made him cry intensely. God is love…
I think what this is saying to me is that I need to pay more attention to God in my life. Make him the center of my life, not just a part of it. I need to pray as often as I can. He isn’t in my life as much as He should be.
Jesus wants us to be hopeful in him, and he wants us to know that we aren’t alone because hes always right by our side.
I personally know that I just don’t pray often, but I need to. I need to realize that prayer can help with so many things. So I can apply this by praying more to God and listening to Him.
I can apply this to my life by giving love and care for all things. I need to give love and care to things other than what I want. Jesus wants us to know, through this scripture, that we all have hard times and that if we have hope, we can make it through anything.
Just like in the Agony in the Garden Jesus sees His future and knows that He will die on a cross. He takes away our sins and receives them as His own. He feels pain when we sin and He comes back with love. We need to thank Him and praise him and stay with Him.
In today’s scripture, God weeps over the town. This is almost unheard of in the bible as far as I know and is very moving. When misfortune comes upon another what is our initial response to comfort them yes? God shows us today that we should be sorry, but not just for our friends, but for everyone. We must comfort all, and this is how to increase our union with Christ. To get closer, we must feel for our other pupils, and this is what leads us to virtues.
i think that Jesus is trying to day that we need to be missionaries. We need to spread the word of God with everyone and show that Jesus is in us. We need to show compassion to those who are troubled and make sure that every one knows they’re loved.
I can apply this to my life by praying everyday, and letting Jesus help me and guide me. He can help me through anything and i can always go to Jesus or the Holy Spirit.
Jesus is weeping over the people missing there chance to heaven. Jesus and the father are both weeping because we wander far away from what matters.
This goes to show just how much God cares for us. He cares for us lowly humans enough to weep for us.
We have to make God the center of our lives, that is the only way that we will get to Heaven. Jesus will weep for us if we stray farther from God, so we have to remain close to His peace and happiness. We cannot allow destruction into our lives, for if we do it will be much more difficult for us to enter into Heaven.
In today’s scripture, Jesus walks into the city and starts to weep. This shows us that Jesus was just like us. He weeps as we weep, and gets hurt as we would get hurt. So now we know that Jesus did as we did and he is always with us through hard times. When we are in hard times we need to turn towards God.
We all want to have peace with ourselves and with others, but we can’t have peace unless we put Jesus in the center of our lives. In order to have peace we need Jesus.
God is saying to us that soon the day where we know peace will come. Jesus just wants us to be happy he loves us so much. We deny him again and again but he still forgives us every time.
I can apply this to my everyday life by knowing that God is human too, and he suffers from our sins. He is just like we are, he cries too.
When Jesus said “If you only knew what makes for peace but it is hidden from your eyes.” I instantly related. I’m not saying I’m all wise like Jesus but sometimes I just wish people would see the reality of situations. For example, my friends get in fights and I can’t stand it because they compare their problems with one another when they could really just talk about it and be there for one another. This is the destruction part. We shouldn’t destroy each other because “our problems are worse” and “they should just get over it because we have it harder than they do”. No! God wants us to communicate! Create that peace! Talk to one other, everyone struggles in their own way. Build people up don’t destroy them.
In this gospel Jesus is talking to me about saying that it’s okay to cry. I would never cry because i didn’t think that crying was okay i thought it was bad to cry. Now that i know that God can weep and doesn’t care what people think.
Jesus is weeping because the Devil and his army of temptations is our enemy, and we are ignorant to what God is telling us and we welcome the Devil into our lives like he our best friend. we are being so stupid that we even join the army of temptations sometimes. There is a scripture in the old testament where this city is being attacked and then the attackers just leave, the whole town rejoices. Then a prophet of the lord comes and tells everyone that the enemy did not flee they just went back to confront another army that was coming to the towns rescue. The people say that the prophet is stupid and does not want his own city to win the war. Then the enemy comes back and attacks the city who have let their guard down and are drunk and tired from partying. The enemy easily takes the city and all its people prisoners. We are the people that laugh in the face of God, mocking him and calling him names. Then the Devil comes and crushes us because we are ignorant and only look at what gives us joy now and not for eternity. We must humble our selves and listen, not to a prophet but to GOD.
Jesus says that when you don’t follow God, your enemies will rise up against you and attack you. Not a thing will be left unbroken. We need to follow God because he is our protection.
We need to have God be at the center of our lives. Peace, joy, happiness, and every other good thing will come from it. If we truly want to be happy and live with God in heaven, we must make this a priority.
We must learn to put all things aside for Christ. He should be the center of our lives. In today’s passage, Jesus weeps because of all the sin that surrounded him. We have to learn to be peaceful and forgive others. I know that if I’m at a time of doubt, Jesus will be there to comfort me.
This means that even though I am Catholic I can be tricked by the devil. THis also tells me to not be like the 25% that go away from the church.
Jesus was sorrowful. He was wishing that the people knew how to make peace. He said that if you were not peaceful others would come to kill you.
I think this means that we need to look past the surface and to try to see past all the lies and deceit everywhere. Everywhere you look, there is something or someone trying to sell you lies about basically everything. We need to learn to look past it and to see the truth. And when you see past all the lies and see the truth, but others don’t, it is okay to be unhappy, and to cry over it because it is sad, how some people cannot see past the lies of today.
God weeps over the town. I feel like this shows that God at one point really was like us. We know that Jesus himself had to go through hard times just like we did and experience pain emotionally and physically. We need to pray to God every day for our sin and suffering.
We should remember that Jesus completely became one of us in the Incarnation and experienced things like emotions just as we do. He actually cried because Jerusalem didn’t understand that He was the Messiah. He also cried because He knew that invaders would come and ravage the city because they didn’t recognize Him.
I think what Jesus is trying to tell us is that we all suffer. And even Jesus suffered. We need to be there to comfort people when they are suffering, just as Jesus comforts us.
God is saying that the day where peace will come to Earth forever will soon come and we should be ready for when that happens. He wants and to be happy when that time comes and prepare ourselves for him. Even though we deny Him he still loves us and is waiting for us to love Him back as much as he loves us. We all must do our best and try to keep God in the center of our lives and love Him fully.
This gospel tells me that Jesus is compassionate towards us. He wants the best for us. He loves us so much that He became human to suffer like us and die for us.
We all need to know and realize what God has given us and all the different things and gifts he has given us , we need to know God is human and that he went through the same stuff we do but he went through way more but even what he went through compares to us he still loves s and still cares for us and will do anything for us but we need to recognize that because he can help us with anything, even though we deny him and keep on sinning he still forgives everything we do as a human person. We need to pay more attention to God throughout our lives because that will help us with anything we need it with. God is here for us no matter what , we have to know that
In today’s scripture, what it is unveiling to me is that being Christian doesn’t mean there will be no suffering or persecution. Suffering is not a bad thing, because Jesus gave suffering meaning, and if you receive it without reason, it will take time off of your time spent in purgatory. Along with being Christian, there comes persecution. People will make fun of our religion, which might weaken our belief in Jesus Christ, but we must ask the Holy Spirit for the virtue of fortitude, and cling even tighter to Jesus.
God loves us. Why can’t we love him in return? He cried over a city, which shows us how much he loves us. He said, “If this day you only knew what makes for peace–but now it is hidden from your eyes. For the days are coming upon you when your enemies will raise a palisade against you; they will encircle you and hem you in on all sides. They will smash you to the ground and your children within you, and they will not leave one stone upon another within you because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.” Jesus loves us and cares for us and we need to do that in return.
Our lives are not lived without a price. Have you ever thought about that? Jesus died for our sins and our lives. He pays the price for every sin that we make. We are not the only ones that are hurt from our actions, the people involved, adults, fellow classmates, friends, enemies, and God. He died for us and for our sins. So, after he has done thing great deed for us, what are we going to do i return?
Making Jesus the center of our lives is important. He helps us through hard times, and He always is there for us when we cry. We are never alone. He is and will always be at our side to guide us. Jesus told me that it’s okay to cry, even if you’re a boy. Don’t try to be “cool” because you don’t cry in front of people. It is always good to let it all out.
Jesus wept over the city of Jerusalem because the city was so full of sin. Now imagine you are like Jerusalem . The enemies spoken of in the Scripture are all of the temptations of this world. You are surrounded by these temptations, so much so that sometimes, you can’t even see Christ. You begin to sin just to try to clear away the temptations, but they only multiply. Over the sound of all the temptations you hear weeping. Christ is crying for you. He knows that the more you sin the more the temptations will multiply. You try to run to Him, to comfort Him, but your temptations won’t let you pass.
The moral of the story: don’t fall into temptation, there will be two worse ones to take its place.
In today’s scripture, Jesus wept over the town. From what I know this is almost unheard of. When someone is hurt your first response should be to help them and make sure that they are all right yes? Today Jesus said that we should be sorry, not just for our friends, but everyone. We need to comfort all and that will bring us closer union with God.
I think Jesus is trying to tell us that actions lead to consequences. He was weeping over Jerusalem because of their ways which make me want to change my ways. For all we know Jesus could be crying over us right now as I am typing this. I can apply this to my daily life by rethinking decisions to become a better person.
Jesus guides us through our destruction. God will do anything to get us to heaven, he whats to be with us and love us in heaven.
Jesus is human like us. He is like us and has feelings. He hurts. He feels. He loves. He is. Jesus is not different from you and I. He laid down his life for us. Sometimes I think that we can feel like it’s not that impressive because he is God, but he is like us he IS us. He felt every little bit of pain from his persecution and we must thank him for that.
We are ignorant to what brings peace in this world. We just go through life like it is nothing. We don’t even know what God has in store for us. We need to start wanting to talk to God, and make time in our day to talk to God. I personally need to start praying to God about my vocation.
Jesus gave us a free will to choose. That is what stuck out to me the most when I read this passage. We get to choose our destiny. If we want to get to heaven we can choose to do so or we can choose wrong and not go to heaven.
It seems that today’s gospel is telling us again that we do not know the hour the Lord is coming. We should live always as we would want the Lord to Judge us.
Everything sinful thing we do makes jesus suffer and hurts him. He tries to warn us and tells us that soon on judgement day he will decide where we go
People don’r know when they will die Jesus is upset because that city was very sinful and dint notice when the Lord was there. Jesus/God go through more pain then us because they have to deal with us making theses wrong dissions.
This Scripture passage is trying to tell us that we need Jesus to be in the center of our lives, or else we would be in destruction. When Jesus is in the center of our lives, we feel peace.
Jesus is saying that we are going to struggle with sin, but we need to ask for His help so we can be holy and live like Jesus.
We need to believe in Jesus Christ and follow in his foot steps and weap over him
People don’r know when they will die Jesus is upset because that city was very sinful and dint notice when the Lord was there. Jesus/God go through more pain then us because they have to deal with us making theses wrong dissions.
When I read this passage I could hear the little voice in my head saying that I should pray more. God is telling everyone not just me that we should get closer to him and right now if you are a sinner he is just waiting for you in heaven saving you a spot if you are willing to take it.
This gospel is telling us that one day Jesus will come down from Heaven and he will start weeping at what the world has done with Catholics. We have to stay strong with our faith and not let anyone or anything change what we truly believe which is that God became man to save us from our sins. Also when the gospel says that Jesus came for the cities “visitation”, I think it is making a point that Jesus will make a second coming and we need to be ready.
What I got from this daily scripture is that every time we complain we should look back and see that Jesus didn’t complain when He had to save us. When people cry we comfort them that is why when Jesus cries we need to be the shoulders he needs to cry on. At the end of the day Jesus is still going to love us. We should be happy that God gave up his only son so that we can be happy forever (If we choose to be happy).
Jesus is sad that we are sinning and constantly falling into the devil’s temptation, but that does not mean he does not love us he loves us with all of his heart. He died for us and our sins. We just need to make God the center of our life and learn to part every day and be active in are the church
God is with us anytime and anywhere. Our enemy’s can attack us at anytime and we need to let God come into our lives so that He can protect us when such things happen. He is the wisest, most humble, and the best at giving us advice when we are getting bullied, having family issues, etc.
We are being judged by God and we are also forgetting that at any moment we could be judged, s are you prepared. God weep over the city he destroied which to his regret was no longer aviliable. we Love God so much and need to prove the people wrong.
I think that today’s scripture is telling us that we need to have better relationships with our peers. God wants us to be kind to everyone and to be open to him and having a relationship with him.
We now that God loves us l do not think we now really now how much he love us.
I can apply this to my life by being ready for when people come and question me about my faith And that I should be thankful for everything God gives to me
What I took away from this passage is that God is really human and he also has real emotions. He wept and and we do too. Jesus wants us to know that he is here, he wants to have a personal relationship with all of us.
we need to choose to never forget that God has given all of this to us. and that he is the almighty holy one. the savior. the messiah. the king of all kings.
God cares about us sooooo much, that he literally WEPT over our sins. OUR sins. He wept because they people of Jerusalem couldn’t recognize Jesus among them. This is a good lesson for us too. We worry so much about everything, school, friends, the latest news, that we can’t even focus on the good thing and in finding Jesus all around us, because he is all around us. Take a look around and see the leaves, that’s God, the sun, God again, the clouds in the sky, GOD! It’s the simplest things that God comes to us in, and we often take it for granted. When you look up at a sunset, you can’t help but think that there must be a higher being that has created this beautiful sunset. That’s God speaking to YOU! So listen to him, because he wants us to recognize that he is not far away sitting on a cloud, and that he is right here, you just have to be able to find him.
What I took from this is that Jesus died so that he could weep with us and be with us in the rough times.
When I am sad I will know that the Lord is sad with me.
I can apply this to my life by enjoying the beauty in all life and things
and to take care of all things not just the most important things to you
In today’s scripture I learned that Jesus wept like all people. I can apply this to my life by realizing that it’s okay to be sad. If we are sad over something, then we shouldn’t hide it. I need to remember that God is with us during bad times, and that he suffered more than we can imagine.
Jesus was human, he has emotions just like us. He went through those hard times like we did, he weeps for us to change our ways and to get us closer to Heaven.
I can apply this scripture to my life to day by remembering that god is with us and Jesus is truly human. We have painted this picture in our brains of this Jesus being a perfect and happy man 24/7 but in this passage, we see that Jesus is really human and weeps in the same way that we do and that kind of gets rid of that unreal image and replaces that with a picture of our lord having to go through difficulties like we do every day and that he morns over things too.
Give God a chance to give you peace, we can be fooled by the devil at any moment
I need to be at peace with myself, and put God into my life more. Sometimes, when our lives are going poorly, it might be for a lack of prayer or a lack of going to mass. one way we can prevent this is putting reminders up in our houses, like leaving a bible on your pillow. But, if you’re in Mr. Goertz’s class, that should shouldn’t be a problem. Other times, we don’t feel very peaceful because we’re keeping secrets from our families. This can lead to a build up of stress, and I should know. We all need someone to confide in. Parents are an excellent example of this. Or, other times, we might not be feeling peaceful because we feel lonely, or have nobody to talk to. We might feel left out, but sometimes, there is nothing we can do about that (ex. I am not allowed online, and that is one of the ways my friends like to hang out. Even though I miss out, I have figured out how to get by), so we need to make the most of it, and not let it get to us too much. I hope that I, and everyone else, can obtain peace.
Today in the Gospel Jesus is telling us there is peace that is within us if we choose it and want it. He is saying that there is always a time for us to die he has planned it for us and he is also saying do we want peace when we die because it will be there or not. God is truly always there and so is Jesus and Mary they truly love us. We need to to just listen and see what he brings us.
This Passage tells me we need to be nice to everyone and pray for our enemies!
This gospel is telling me that we must always be ready. One day Jesus will call us to Heaven and we might not be ready. Maybe we’ve done some bad things and haven’t asked for forgiveness from God yet. So, we must always be ready. We also must make God the center of our life, and we will be truly happy.
Sometimes we forget Jesus is human to. We think he cant feel pain as much as us. But he can and he has to even worse than us because of us.
This gospel is telling me that we must always be ready. One day Jesus will call us to Heaven and we might not be ready. Maybe we’ve done some bad things and haven’t asked for forgiveness from God yet. So, we must always be ready. We also must make God the center of our life, and we will be truly happy.
:
We all need happiness and peace in our lives. If we don’t have this we are more likely to turn away from God and turn toward sin. We must remember even in the bad times we still have God and He will provide what is right for us. He will give us all the peace and happiness we need.
I know God is always with us. God is always her for everyone the children than adults he is always there for us. God knows what we are going through and helps us be the best we possibly can.
In today’s gospel Jesus felt deep sadness for the city, because he could see the destruction it would face soon. I can sort of relate to this because sometimes when I look at the world I live in, I look at it mostly with sadness. Just society nowadays and the physical changes, too: climate change, pollution. I will try to apply this to my life by not following society, but doing what I think is right. Also, asking myself what God would approve of.
Ok, I know this is a bit of a stretch but that’s what I got from today’s gospel ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Perhaps most saliently, Jesus obtains sympathy for us, his beloved companions, who should ultimately strive to become harnessed to his elegant graces and love. Moreover, our hearts should burn, proclaiming the longing for God’s attention, which grants us the elements suitable to fulfill the colossal task and to ascend into heaven.
I will reflect on this scripture by praying every night and talk to god everyday
If we trust fully in God, he will give us all that we need to get to heaven.
I can apply this to my life by praying more, and knowing that I need God in my life, but he does not need me. Except to spread the word of God and share the good news, for we do not know when the time will come.
The people drifted so far away from God that it made him cry but he forgave them he knew what was best for them in every way that is all he wanted is the best for all of us. But we turn away and he weeps. We must remember God and when we make him weep through our sin. We must urn back to him in prayer and in contrition.
Jesus is telling us that we need to be ready to go to heaven. It really hit me recently that hell was real; that thought scared me. I can apply this to my life by trying my hardest not to sin and going to confession more often.
This scripture tells us that we need to put God first above all things. It also tells us to worship him.
