Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.

As Jesus drew near Jerusalem,
he saw the city and wept over it, saying,
“If this day you only knew what makes for peace–
but now it is hidden from your eyes.
For the days are coming upon you
when your enemies will raise a palisade against you;
they will encircle you and hem you in on all sides.
They will smash you to the ground and your children within you,
and they will not leave one stone upon another within you
because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.”  Lk 19:41-44

Jesus wept?  We all know how we feel when we see someone weeping. We instantly show compassion and reach out to them.  Sometimes we forget that Jesus is human.  He is weeping over Jerusalem failing to see God in their midst at this moment.  The One to save them.  The most important lesson though is, “If this day you only knew what makes for peace.” If you do not make Jesus the center of your life (eat, sleep, and breathe Him), then you will not have peace.  God rightly orders us to Himself through the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Imitating Jesus rightly orders our lives. This brings us to our hearts greatest desire, peace, holiness, heaven.

The opposite?  Destruction.  The beautiful thing is that God gives us a free will to choose. We get to choose our destiny, Christ already paid the bill for our sins.  I am sure you have tried a lot of other things to bring you peace, I know I have.  Give Jesus a try.  You will not be let down. God has only one job, to love you. Take a healthy risk and seek Him in silence, love Him back. Give your whole self to Him.

Today’s challenge: When you weep, remember Jesus wept too.  Jesus died to be with you in your weeping. Allow Him in. Give Jesus a chance to bring what your heart desires, peace.

Be a servant, become a saint!
