Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
As Jesus drew near Jerusalem,
he saw the city and wept over it, saying,
“If this day you only knew what makes for peace–
but now it is hidden from your eyes.
For the days are coming upon you
when your enemies will raise a palisade against you;
they will encircle you and hem you in on all sides.
They will smash you to the ground and your children within you,
and they will not leave one stone upon another within you
because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.” Lk 19:41-44
Jesus wept? We all know how we feel when we see someone weeping. We instantly show compassion and reach out to them. Sometimes we forget that Jesus is human. He is weeping over Jerusalem failing to see God in their midst at this moment. The One to save them. The most important lesson though is, “If this day you only knew what makes for peace.” If you do not make Jesus the center of your life (eat, sleep, and breathe Him), then you will not have peace (to be fulfilled; it doesn’t mean there will be no pain or suffering in your life and you won’t be tempted, if anything, the Devil will come roaring at you more). God rightly orders us to Himself through the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass after Baptism. Imitating Jesus rightly orders our lives by filling ourselves up with Him (Eucharist/Confession, Prayer, Scriptures). This brings us to our hearts greatest desire, peace, holiness, heaven.
The opposite? Destruction. The beautiful thing is that God gives us a free will to choose. We get to choose our destiny, Christ already paid the bill for our sins. I am sure you have tried a lot of other things to bring you peace, I know I have. Give Jesus a try. You will not be let down. God has only one job, to love you. Take a healthy risk and seek Him in silence, love Him back. Give your whole self to Him.
Today’s challenge: When you weep, remember Jesus wept too. Jesus died to be with you in your weeping. Allow Him in. Give Jesus a chance to bring what your heart desires, peace.
Be a servant, become a saint!

Jesus wants us to come and be with Him. He truly wants us to love and have a deep relationship with Him, but, He respects us enough to not force us to love Him. He wants us to choose to love him, not be forced to. He loves us so dearly and loves it when we talk to Him.
In this Gospel Jesus wept. This shows us that Jesus is human. He is also God but we need to realize that he is human. Jesus knows how it feels to be human so if we have any problems, we can just take them up to him. Jesus it the one to go to when we feel sad or lonely because he was once sad and lonely.
Jesus wept at the sight of Jerusalem and the people’s unknowing about the fact that God is in their midst. If you don’t keep Jesus as the center of your life, it’s gonna fall apart. We need Jesus, and knowing this, Jesus wept for the people of Jerusalem for them not knowing that their Lord was there, in front of them.
We will suffer in our life but we have to stay strong. If we get hurt and turn on God our relationship with him is not strong enough. We need to make our relationship with Him as strong as we can possibly make it. We should want to always turn to God for help, not to blame Him.
Jesus is to be treated the same as your human peers. He is the living God. Note the word living. Yes, God is omniscient and perfect but he also wants a relationship with us. A human relationship. If we don’t make him the center of our lives we may never get to know him, and we could drift from him. The devil is stronger without God in our lives. We need God, we need him to get to heaven.
What reached out to me was when Jesus said, “For the days are coming upon you when your enemies will raise a palisade against you; they will encircle you and hem you in on all sides.” What this means to me is that life won’t always be easy for us. Life will sometimes be rough because of our faith, but if we keep praying and put our faith in God it’ll all work out
I believe Jesus was weeping for us because he knew how much they needed his help with our sin and what they were doing to God’s good and holy name.
This Gospel shows how vulnerable Jesus really is. Everyone may think he some huge and tough person but really he is just like us. He is crying and people would your God is crying wow they must be a bad God. But no he is showing us how much he loves us by crying because we are falling into the wrong direction.
I think in this reading Jesus was upset and was unable to see how God could let such a thing happen so he was also a little angry at him but, almost thought of this as a teaching moment and was able to show us what happens and what will happen if we don’t repent.
This scripture is telling us that Jesus wept and he is fully God and fully man he is worried what will come of this world and for us that we will leave him he loves us very much.
Jesus wept in Scripture today. Jesus had emotion too because He is human. It’s okay to cry and let out your emotions. Our feelings are valid. Jesus, the Son of God, cried. He isn’t a made up person. He is real. He had emotions and feelings. Jesus is God and man.
Today’s scripture passage is very meaningful and very true. I think the main message of today is that we are not ever alone. No matter if we are happy or very sad, he is always with us. Like it mentioned a lot, when we weep, he weeps too. He never wants to go a day without being by us. He wants us so bad. We need Him so bad. We need to start yearning for him more because he does not want us to feel alone. He is our true happiness.
Jesus and God weep when they see us leaving them. We are all their children and it hurts them when we leave. Without the love of God we can’t be saved on Judgement Day, but God can’t do it all. We have to accept his love and want to be saved. Without the love of God, we are lost.
You can understand why he wept for Jerusalem he has seen them worship false idles and fall away from him again and again. He wants them to see him and stay with him instead of being led away. God chose them but they failed to choose God. That is why it hurt him so much.
Everyone thinks Jesus was the strongest person ever, I’m not saying that is wrong but Jesus had times where he struggled as well. He got mad at things just like all humans. So if the strongest person ever, Jesus, had a weak point why do we think it’s embarrassing for ourselves. We are all human and we can’t help it. If you’re in pain there is no need to hide it.
A phrase that stuck out to me is Jesus saw the city and wept over. This is very powerful to me because that means the son of man is human Just like you and me. I can really take that in, that it means it takes a person to show their emotions just like Jesus did. If we can show our real like taking pride in going into confession and taking the Eucharist.
We are all human, even Jesus was part human. This is why He fell and wept. We cannot expect to be perfect, but we can expect to try our best.
wine jesus shows us how to love and to sowh respets to evrey one
As Jesus drew near Jerusalem, he saw the city and wept over it, saying, “If this day you only knew what makes for peace–but now it is hidden from your eyes. the thing that really struck me was that Jesus wept. this means he was human and he might be alone.
when people cry we ask why are you crying? Jesus is crying because we have ignored him and worshipped other items. the son of man wept for us and we are the reason why is because of us. he came down from heaven for us. don’t make his effort to save us not count.
Jesus wept for us he carried the cross he did all he could to let us in heaven. This shows he his human but he is divine. Jesus’s life wasnt blemished he went through life just like we are.
I think that the means that Jesus wants us wants me and if he does not get us he weeps for us doesn’t that make you think that you should weep when his not with us but we dont bc he is always with us be he weeps when we ignore him.
Jesus always wants to be with us, but we need to spend time with him and let him be with us so that he can help us with our daily struggles.
Jesus wept walking into Jerusalem and was saying stuff about how we will have enemies and they will not care for us like we as Catholics care for them. Jesus says in the scripture, They will smash you to the ground and your children within you,
and they will not leave one stone upon another within you
because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.” He is saying that your enemies will not care for you in the time of your visiting so we have to make sure that we care for our enemies when they come to visit us.
I really like this, becuase it really shows me that Jesus is human, he is all mighty but it doesn’t mean that he can’t have hard struggles. Jesus is human, just like us.
“If this day you only knew what makes for peace–
but now it is hidden from your eyes.” Stuck out to me because we do not see how much God loves us and we put other things before him.
Jesus helps us all the time but he has taken falls, and has struggled in his life yet we think he has never struggled and that he never got mad at anything. The point is he has and yet when something happens to us we take it seriously.
Jesus wept and he is fully man and fully God. And that he is worried what will happen to the world.
Jesus is human, he wept at Jerusalem. Everyone thinks that He’s the most perfect and strongest man ever, because He’s God, but he struggles too. He saw Jerusalem and wept because they were worshiping false idles.
Jesus wants us he is alone. He is always waiting for you to talk to him. He loves you so much but he is alone. Even tho Jesus is without blemish it doesn´t mean that he dosent get mad or get sad Jesus has human feelings. That is why he had to become man.
“If this day you only knew what makes for peace but now it is hidden from your eyes.” This part stuck out to me the most because its saying that Jesus is weeping from our actions and he gives himself to us and we give him hatred in return and God is always waiting for us to talk to him but sometimes we just choose to ignore him I think this is trying to tell us to give more of ourselves to him.
Jesus is really human a LIVING human. He wept because he’s human and he really is like us. He’s not just an all powerful all knowing guy, well he is but he has emotions like us to. He wept because everyone in the entire history of the world is his child and they are leaving him and worshiping false gods. He feels pain like us.
a lot of times we can forget that Jesus is human too. we get caught up on all the big things He did that we forget the little things. we forget that Jesus can cry, He can be lonely, He can get righteously angry.
We forget so many times Jesus is human like us he has human emotions and feeling he had times when he would also get frustrated and its okay to have emotions so if the son of God had emotions and We also have emotions why do we think it makes us weaker when we show them? We are beings and we cant help to have feelings
Jesus wept for the people of jerusalem because they didn’t know about him and his Father and he still weeps to this day because yes most of the world knows about him but they don’t accept him,They don’t even try letting him in to their lives,Jesus weeps for us because he wants to be there for us when we weep. When we accept Jesus and let him in his weeping will stop.
Jesus wept and he is fully man and fully God. And that he is worried about what will happen to the world. What it means to me is that life isn’t going to always to easy for us but that if we keep praying to God it might get a little easier.
I think in this reading Jesus was upset and was unable to see how God could let such a thing happen so he was also a little angry at him but, almost thought of this as a teaching moment and was able to show us what happens and what will happen if we don’t repent.
If you do not make Jesus the center of your life (eat, sleep, and breathe Him), then you will not have peace. It means you need to make God the center of your life and have a relationship.
Jesus is God and human and he wept for us he is the most powerful being in the universe and he wept for US. We are just humans and he is God and he wept for us so this proves he truly is there for us at all times and he loves you.
What God is trying to say is that anything can be wept over nothing can never not be wept at because if you care about something and someone/something did something to it you’ll be sad and start to weep.
Jesus wept over Jerusalem because it was a mess. He does this everytime, we sin, and forget to worship Him. When we go to confession, and pray, He rejoyces that we have came back to Him
We never really think about or realize that when jesus came to earth, he was a human being, and he felt emotions like sadness and physical pain. When he felt sadness or pain, it was no less painful than it is for us. That makes him dying on the cross and doing all of the things he did for us sound like an even bigger sacrafice, and kinda puts into perspective how much he loves us.
Jesus was sad that many people were sinful and knew they were so when he died on the cross he took that sin like a tax collector. He took what was wrong and gave us what was right. His body blood, and love for us.
Whenever I see someone weep I do not always show compassion. This scripture really is something because it shows that Jesus can and is human and God at once. He can cry, he can have all the joy in the world and that he can express this. God cannot feel anger because he is all love but Jesus can. Jesus can feel all the emotions that we do and I know that when someone is the same as me in some, even as small as feeling the same thing, I feel better about confiding in them and talking to them because they understand me in some way.
We forget that Jesus still has feelings He loves us we know that but is He ever mad at us? Well today He is upset at what we did to his house. He wept over what we did to His house that he made for us. We could be closer to him. Let us not forget to be fully involved and pay attention at Mass because this is the closest we can get to God.
Remember that Jesus is human. If you don’t make Jesus the center of your life, you will not have peace. We have free will and get to choose if we want to have a better life.
What stuck out to me is Jesus wept? We all know how we feel when we see someone weeping. We instantly show compassion and reach out to them. Sometimes we forget that Jesus is human. And that When you weep, remember Jesus wept too. Jesus died to be with you in your weeping. Allow Him in. Give Jesus a chance to bring what your heart desires, peace. Sometimes when I cry I feel like no one understands not even my parents but God understands and will help you through it.
Jesus helps us all the time and we do not realize that. We don’t even bother to thank him. We never pray to thank him and we forget to pray sometimes but we are huamn and we will make mistakes but God always forgives us. We never give him the time we give him. We always put other things before him and never him before anything else.
Jesus wept, This shows us that he is human and not just God. He knows how it feels to be human, so when we have troubles we can take it up to him, He will be the one to come down to us when we’re lonely because He knows how it feels.
This scripture was very meaningful to me. God wants us to love Him, He wants a sincere and meaningful relationship. He is not forcing us to love Him. He wants to be the center of our lives. We need to be closer to God because he wants us to love Him very much, but when we forget about Him, He never forgets us.
The gospel today shows us that Jesus is human just like us. He was crying like we do when we are sad or mad. Jesus cried because he felt pain. Pain that the people were not worshiping God’s house. The turning into a marketplace. That’s what we go to God when we use the church or adoration and don’t do anything. Don”t participate , or be on our phones during mass of adoration. We are setting a market place in God’s house. We need to welcome God and participate in his house with him.
Being human is hard. Jesus was human and took on our pain, dying for us on the cross. Sometimes we forget everything that Jesus did for us and still does for us right now. That´s why we have to open our hearts to Jesus. Jesus made us so that we could love Him and others around us. He made us learn to be Holy, even though we are broken. Being broken is part of being human, but God still loves us so much! He gives himself away to us at every Mass, in His body and blood in the Eucharist. Let ´ s try to open our hearts to Jesus more.
Sometimes we forget Jesus is human. He feels pain just as we do and that’s why he died for us, because he knows what its like to feel pain. Jesus is worried what will become of the world, he saw how Jerusalem was praising and worshiping false gods. If we pray to him and talk to him, he won’t be so alone.
jesus wept wich shows all of us he is human to jesus wants us. he wants to have a relationship with us and grow close with us
I believe that this Gospel is telling us to be ready. Be a friend to Jesus. He is lonely! He wants to be with us always, and like a friend, when he seeks us out, we need to be ready to accept Him and be a true friend to Him. Love Him!
Even though sometimes we feel Jesus isn’t here, He always is. We are mortals, so our senses cannot even sense sometimes when Jesus is near. But He is always with us, and wants us to recognize Him. If we grow stronger in our faith, our spiritual senses will grow stronger and we will feel Him.
This is saying that Jesus wept. He is human too. He had to rebuild the temple and it was hard. He was not always treated like the other human being which is sad. That is why we should always respect him and ask him for help when we need it.
This scripture means that we need to make good decisions while we still can. We must try to fight sin while we are still alive or else we will loose our battle against sin and will be punished for eternity. We must do good on earth while we are here or else we will be punished in hell.
This scripture that all of us are human, even Jesus. We need to build a relationship with Jesus just as we would with a friend, and treat Jesus as if he was our friend.
This gospel means that Jesus wept over the Temple because they were making it into a marketplace. I think that the Temple is representing our soul, and when we sin, our soul turns to a “market place”.
what the scripture is telling me is that we should take things for granted and should recongnize the things that God has given us. if we keep unrecognizing things then we will get punished severaly until we do.
When something is bad in your life you can always turn to God. God is always there for us. When we run into trouble we can pray and he will help us.
“Jesus wept? We all know how we feel when we see someone weeping. We instantly show compassion and reach out to them. Sometimes we forget that Jesus is human.” we all want to be included. why cant we include god, if you want to be included you should include others. we need to pay more attention to those who are only or left out and quit idolizing others that you think are better.
Jesus is human. In the gospel he wept this shows that he is just like us. He has feelings like us. And something people forgot that. Because humans are really hard for people because of the bad things that were happening to them. But Jesus is so nice and Graceful he took away all that pain and made us have the best life we could have.
I think that today’s reading is about how we are reborn with the holy spirit . we are broken and held down by our sin and we need to get out. we need the holy spirit to give us strength when we are weak we need to put out trust in God and learn to have faith.
Jesus is weeping because He is in pain because of how people acted. They made His fathers house a market place. They stone people for loving God. This shows that Jesus suffers too. He suffered in the garden, He died for us even though He was in pain, yet all we can do for Him is put other things before Him. He wept for the what the world has become.
Jesus is sad about how we are in our faith. We need to remember that Jesus is with us and that he can help us grow but if we want his help we need to realize our mistakes. We need to stop making excuses about this or that but we need to know how we can do better in the future.
Jesus wept. We need to take care of the church because it is a holy place. Jesus wept because no one was taking care of Gods house. “If this day you only knew what makes for peace–
but now it is hidden from your eyes.
For the days are coming upon you.” I think of this as we are hidden from peace because of our electronics.
People don’t think about Gods feelings they think he is always happy because He is who He is but that not the case. Jesus weeps and cries because he can Be sad or angry as well as anyone else. When we sin God gets sad but yes he still forgives everyone and anything for what they have done.
“If this day you only knew what makes for peace.” This stands out to me because peace is something that as teenagers we think isn’t really. When you become a teenager you have thoughts. Some are good and some are bad. Some are about being nice to people and some are being mean to people. Some are about loving God and some are about not choosing to talk with Him, not choosing to pray, not choosing to LOVE Him or not choosing to have peace. If we clear our minds and start praying more often we’ll have peace. Peace is something we need to have for everyone. “Peace be with you, and with your spirit. Lift up your hearts, we may lift them up to the Lord.” This has been said at Mass for so long. “Let us offer each other a sign of peace” is not often used anymore since COVID but the Church is getting back to before COVID. WE just need to have peace for everyone.
Jesus has a huge heart, for the world. He wants us to stay strong, but humble, and be curagous in the face of the devil. He is the way not the devil not us. The devil hides himself in so many everyday things. we want more and more material things because we think that that will satisfy us, but thats not happiness. God is.
Its hard believing in God. We have to be strong like God when he died on the cross for us. He was human when he died o the cross for us. He is God and man. We have to remember that he isn’t always happy.
This scripture is inviolved in everything in our lives today, Jesus is Right There and no one notices. Everyone is in the temple seilling goods and doesn’t notice that his is where you pray and not just carry on like it’s a normal day. We need to pay more attention to our surroundings and just about what we are doing right now for the eighth grade is to not take things for granted.
In this scripture Jesus shows how much he truly wishes the best for us. I mean this man is literally crying over the fact that Jerusalem (technically us) doesn’t yet know the truth and that we cannot see that he is the truth. He cares for us so much that he was weeping for us and that I find truly fascinating.
In the scripture today Jesus is telling us that the devil can tempt us whenever and can just change us at any time. We all just have to stay with Him. We might fall away at times but we can always make a way back to Him. The devil will be anywhere always trying to pull us away and we gotta tell ourselves no and fight.
this Scripture Jesus is crying because he sees that Jerusalem is just falling apart Jerusalem was going to be like the place that was choose its supposed to be like holy etc but the people were that bad that they mad Jesus cry i think this mean that we are really bad people and that we need to be stronger to our faith and that no matter what we are humans sure we make misktakes but we can at least try again.
Jesus wept. God wept. Jesus is human. We tend to think of him as, well, God. We forget that Jesus was also human. He felt our emotions. He has felt our pain. God knows what it’s like to hurt, more so than most of us. If you’re feeling hurt, so did Jesus, if you’re feeling betrayed, so did Jesus. Jesus knows our pain, and he will pray for us.
When you truly love something and something happens to it, you cry. Jesus cries for you. He cries when you sin. He cries when you forget to pray to him that day. He loves you because He is your Father and wants you to be with Him. So make prayer habitual. Do your part to serve God. Pray to Him. Love Him back. Return to Him.
When I think of Jesus, I think of this stone-faced man, but in reality he has feelings and he acts just like the rest of us. Jesus wept. He does have feelings. Jesus is my friend and I’ve grown to see Him as my friend. I’ve grown to have a relationship with Him. I love Him and He loves me. I am thankful for Him and all that He has done for me and my friends and family.
This Scripture shows how Jesus is human. Just because he is God, does not mean he does not have feelings. He once was just like us living in this sinful world, and faced the same problems we face. That is why our religion is so cool because God is just like us. That is why we follow his example and love him.
“If this day you only knew what makes for peace– but now it is hidden from your eyes. For the days are coming upon you when your enemies will raise a palisade against you; they will encircle you and hem you in on all sides. They will smash you to the ground and your children within you, and they will not leave one stone upon another within you because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.” Lk 19:41-44″ I think God is trying to warn us and let us know that He is the only one the can save us.
“your enemies will raise a palisade against you; they will encircle you and hem you in on all sides.” This phrase stuck out to me. Here, I think that Jesus is talking about how we will be persecuted, (And how the early Christians were) and that we need to stay strong. He will always be with us, to help and guide us to heaven. We have to not let the “persecutors” get to us, and keep in our minds that our main goal is heaven.
It is saying that there will be times where people will go away from the faith and try to make other people want to leave also, but we have to remember what God did for us. He didn’t mind when people thought He was weird for believing in only one God. We have to be like to stand up for our faith and bring people closer to Him.
I think the scripture is saying that Jesus wept over the fact that His village and home, His chosen city because they did not see who He was and how much He loved them however much they ignored and mistreated Him. Jesus the Son of God wept over the fact they did not want to be saved or at least did not believe in Him.
“If this day you only knew what makes for peace – but now it is hidden from your eyes.” We, as humans, are sinners, but that doesn’t mean that we should be ignorant to what is to come. Jesus will come again, and we need to be prepared.
Jesus wept. Jesus is not only God, but he is also human. Jesus wept for us. Jesus wept for the sinners. Even if we sin Jesus will always love us. We can sin time and time again and Jesus will always love us.
Today Jesus tells us that he weeps over us because we fail to see that He is in our presents. Like Mr. Geortz said, we need to take the healthy risk of loving God. Jesus is not going to pop out in front of you and make you love Him, you have to try. Same with seeing God. TO tell that He is in your presents you have to be open to Him. Don’t shut yourself away, be open with love.
This scripture weans that the Lord is on top of you and with you at all times
Today, just like we reach out to other people when they are weeping, God is trying to reach out to us. The posters around the school saying “I have been rescued. How will I respond?” take God’s hand and lead a holy life.
I feel like God is trying to tell us that Jesus is human he has feelings like all of us so it is unfair to assume that we can cry but he cant. I feel like most of us would force random people out of our father’s house if they were selling stuff there.
“when your enemies will raise a palisade against you;
they will encircle you and hem you in on all sides.
They will smash you to the ground and your children within you,
and they will not leave one stone upon another within you
because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.”
The enimes are the devil and we need to flee from the devil to Jesus because if we dont we will get crushed
What stuck out to me is. Why i liked it is because you really have to make Jesus the center of your life if you want to be truly happy.
Emotions. They can be fun and exciting or messy and depressing. Jesus is and was human too! He has emotions He cried and laughed. Probably regretted some things. As I think about this one phrase keeps reapeating “Don’t keep your emotions bottled up or they’ll one day explode at the wrong person.” my mom said that and she’s right. Jesus is our creator but He’s still our friend.
This scripture is telling me that sometimes we forget that Jesus is also fully man not just fully divine. He loves us and he loves Jerusalem which is why he is crying he is greatly sad Jerusalem doesnt realize that God is in their midst. Jesus is the son of God made of purely love and divinity but he is still fully man as well.
to this says that God loves us and he never stops loving s he would die one the cross a million times for us and keep doing it he would do anything for us.
“If this day you only knew what makes for peace.” This really stuck out to me because we all should have God in the center of our life. He would be there for you when your down and when you need somebody.
The Lord is with you at all times and he will never leave you
Sometimes we think that we are going through suffering alone, or that no one understands us. This is not true! Since God is out of time, not restricted by time, His Crucifixion is going on all the time! Because of this, he is suffering with us at the time of our suffering. When we think that we can not live life by ourselves, which we can’t, Say a prayer and remember that God is with you, all the time.
Jesus wept because he felt like it. This is Him being Human and Divine. Be a friend to Jesus, He is lonely. We need to talk and listen to Him like a friend.
What I got from this is that we forget that Jesus was human and that he gave us free will to do what we want but if we want to get to heaven then we have to get to know him. Whether its through prayer scripture or just sitting in silence listening. If we want to get to heaven we have to listen.
We instantly show compassion and reach out to them. Sometimes we forget that Jesus is human. He is weeping over Jerusalem failing to see God in their midst at this moment. The One to save them.
“If this day you only knew what makes for peace.” This stuck out to me because God does so much for us but we don’t know it. He went and goes through so much pain to make us happy. He wants us to love Him but He isn’t making us love Him. He wants us to have him as the center of his life. Whenever we foget about Him, He doesn’t forget about us. When we love Him he loves us back even more than he usually does. He keeps us safe and away from harm but we don’t recognize it.
To be at peace, we may try to do MANY things to be at peace, but when we choose Jesus to find peace we do. This happens because He is our Father. He wants us to come to Him when we need something, not physically, from Him.
PS: I hope you are having a great day Mr. Goertz!
If you do not make Jesus the center of your life (eat, sleep, and breathe Him) then you will not have peace (to be fulfilled; it doesn’t mean there will be no pain or suffering in your life and you won’t be tempted if anything, the Devil will come roaring at you more). You just need to love God with your whole hate soul, mind, and body. The devil won’t tempt you if you have God with you all the time. You just need to spend time with him so he will love you even more than he already did.
God is fully human and we need to have a strong relationship with him. We need to see him as a close friend and we need to recongnize him. We should always ask him for help and we shouldn’t be afraid of him.
What stuck out to me was when Jesus walked up to the city of Jerusalem and started to weep this stuck out to me because he cares so much that he weeps for you to listen to hear his voice he wants you with him so he can talk to you and listen to you.He also just wants to be with you because he loves you.
“If this day you only knew what makes for peace but now it is hidden from your eyes.” this line really shows me that people have been so ignorant toward God that we do not recognize true peace.
We should spread the word of God more. Listen to what He is trying to tell us. We talk and talk and ask for things but we don’t listen. We need to listen to Him, hear what He is trying to tell us. We need Jesus’ love to be happy. Without him we are not happy. People might not believe in the love of God and they will tell you it’s all fake but it really is real.
This is one of the only moments in all of the scriptures where Jesus is an intimidating figure. Most of the time He is loving and willing to help. Here, He is just sitting, waiting for the destruction.
