Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Jesus withdrew toward the sea with his disciples.
A large number of people followed from Galilee and from Judea.
Hearing what he was doing,
a large number of people came to him also from Jerusalem,
from Idumea, from beyond the Jordan,
and from the neighborhood of Tyre and Sidon.
He told his disciples to have a boat ready for him because of the crowd,
so that they would not crush him.
He had cured many and, as a result, those who had diseases
were pressing upon him to touch him.
And whenever unclean spirits saw him they would fall down before him
and shout, “You are the Son of God.”
He warned them sternly not to make him known. MK 3:7-12
Why do people desire Jesus? On the surface, because he heals them. Spiritually, he has mercy on them as a sinner and frees them from sin. More deeply though, He has what we want, POWER! Lucifer, the fallen angel, the most powerful angel wanted that power more than anything and could not have it. Today, Lucifer continues to seek and destroy love wherever he can, especially marriage and the family is under attack. We want to control everything in our lives and we are so upset when our plans don’t work out. We are upset when we can’t control people in our relationships and make them do what we want. Power when used incorrectly is about popularity or status, wealth, strength, high positions, awards, and achievement. It is not wrong to achieve when we use the gifts God has blessed us with to the best of our ability to share with others. St. Teresa of Calcutta said, “It does not matter how much we accomplish, but how much we love.” The problem is when we obsess over it, work too many hours and leave our families behind, miss Mass for weekend sports tournaments, and have to go into extreme debt to keep up a fake life of wealth to keep up our status. Mother Teresa said, “In the end, it is always between you and God.”
Jesus has done an amazing job of revealing Himself to us in the last 3 weeks. He comes to us as a baby, completely innocent and poor. He is revealed at the Epiphany and worshiped by earthly kings recognizing Him as the one who has all of the POWER and is the one True King. God, with this power, does not hold it over our heads and use it against us, He gave it to us and gave Himself to us, so we may share in this power which is love. He is adored by the shepherds who were told by angels that God is on earth to bring peace to His people. Zechariah and Anna reveal at the Presentation in the temple, “This child will be responsible for the rise and fall of many in Israel”. Mary’s heart is pierced which begins a sorrowful and suffering heart that recognizes the most POWERFUL will have to suffer and die to REDEEM all sinners.
Then, John the Baptist speaks prophetic words, “Behold, the Lamb of God”. God speaks from the heavens and says, “This is my beloved Son of whom I am well pleased”. Now, we enter into Jesus’s healing ministry in the Gospel of Mark. This is to fulfill prophecies from the Old Testament about a Messiah who will come to save His people. It is to draw people to Him. But, most importantly it is to teach us how to use POWER correctly, by SERVING and HUMILITY. Jesus uses the greatest power to serve. He uses it to love. He uses it to have compassion on others.
Most importantly, we struggle with POWER every day of our lives. If we truly desire God in our hearts, we must let go of all of our power and submit to the ONE POWER that can make us the most joyful in this life and the next. Our identity is in the GREATEST POWER through His death and resurrection, we are made in His image and likeness, we are baptized into His family and become His child, through the blood of Christ we become His brother or sister, the GREATEST POWER lives in us in the Holy Spirit and is given to us in the SACRAMENTS. God’s grace is His life in us. This is why the saints went to Mass daily sometimes more and to confession sometimes daily or weekly. They recognized how POWERLESS they were and how much POWER God had to help them be holy and fight Satan. God desires nothing more than to give you His love and grace. Our greatest POWER is living to be the person God made us to be and sharing that with others.
God’s love is the most POWERFUL thing in the world. It conquered sin and death. It overcomes evil and darkness in our world. It forgives and is for giving. It heals. It changes lives and creates lives. Most importantly, God’s POWER is LOVE. There is no greater POWER than God’s LOVE in all the world. NOTHING has ever beat God’s LOVE!!! Our POWER is pale in comparison to God’s POWER. We will be held accountable by this POWER on judgment day. At some point we are going to have to submit to the POWER that created us, it would be smart not to let that be our death bed. It would also be wise to humbly submit to Him, give Him everything, visit Him daily in prayer, invite Him into our daily activities and especially our temptations, visit His mother daily and ask for her help since He told us to from the Cross, receive Him at Mass, and share Him with others by modeling Him in our lives being who we were created to be. Why do people desire Jesus and want to get so close to Him and crush Him? Holiness is attractive. He is the Way to our heavenly home, our hearts greatest desire. He gives us the POWER to get there and the joy is overwhelming.
Today’s challenge: Make a habit of getting up early in the morning to spend time with Jesus to make Him the center of your life, not just a part of your life. Give up yourself totally and completely to Him through Mary and everything you own. Allow Him to have power over you, so that you have power over the Devil and your desires.
Be a servant, become a saint!

I can take this to mean that we all need Jesus. If all those people were following him across the shore and not leaving, then we definitely should take that as a sign that we’re not going anywhere without Jesus.
In this scripture people were surrounding Jesus to be cured and just to see him. These people are just the way that we are today. We desire Jesus beause we want him to cure us of all of our sin and to lift the burden of sin off of our shoulders.
In the Gospel, the people came to him to be healed and cleansed. In that same way, we should come to him. He is what will fill our soul and he is what will give us life. We should go to him in prayer and ask for his grace and healing.
I can apply this to my life byasking God to heal me from sin, like the sick did. God died from our sins to save us like he saved the ill’s lives.
God had thousands of people swarming to him to know him to feel his power. He saw all of the unclean all of the lepors and all of the diseased and showed pity he showed love and compassion giving them another chance at normal life. God sees the human in everyone he sees the love in everyone the soul and deserved life in everyone and he gives us that chance. Now God relies on us to want him back to love him back and everyone around us.
I like this Gospel because it shows the human and Divine side of Jesus. While he is able to heal people from deadly diseases and he is able to cast demonds out of people, he can also be crushed by other humans. It shows the sacrifice that God made to give his son as one of us so that we could be saved.
Jesus will heal anyone if they believe in him.
We follow Jesus and God but the devil turns us away from God. Jesus heals other people like how a priest heals our soul in confession.
We have the wrong idea about what will make us happy and desire the wrong power. Jesus changes that. He shows us the way to heaven and happieness, but we still don’t choose this. Why? It is hard to put our trust, our lives, in someone elses hands, so we continue they way we think is best.
People desire Jesus because Jesus heals them and he is our true savior.
This reading of Mark is talking about even as sinners we can still speak with God. I can put this reading from Mark by asking God if I am in need of help.
Jesus had his disciples prepare him a boat so that he wouldn’t be crushed by the crowds. So many people were coming to him, wanting his healing touch, that he had to get a boat so that he wouldn’t be crushed by the crowds. Humans are attracted to many things. Money, love, the desire for happiness. Jesus was healing so many people, and a lot of those people probably heard about him and how they could be healed. How they could be happier, and they wanted that happiness for themselves. We need to be like these people. We need to have faith that Jesus can heal our wounds, and we need to go to him. We’re all attracted to the idea of happiness, and only Jesus Christ can provide that.
I can apply this to my life by praying everyday and by going to mass on the weekend and holy days and just spending time with Jesus
In this scripture passage Jesus is telling me that we need to submit to Him because he is the way, the truth, and the light. Instead of obsessing over power, we should show love to others, because that is way more powerful. We should spend some time with Jesus every day because He created us and wants to get to know, and love us. Let’s accept Him into our hearts and let Him pour His grace into us.
One thing that I can take away from this scripture is to give my life to God. We tend to think that doing whatever we want to do, not what God wants will make us happy, but the truth, on the contrary is that doing what God wants will make us the most happy. We need to allow ourselves to be drawn to him just like how the people in the Gospel were drawn to Jesus.
Today’s reading reveals how people around Jesus wanted to be healed or at least be touched and in his presence. We can do the same in our time by recieveing the sacraments, adoration, and through mass. Jesus has the power to heal us and I think we have to realize that he has the same power throughout our time as well and in order to be healed we must really want him with us.
We need to realize that no other love is more powerful than God’s and he will always have more love than anyone. He will always be more powerful. We have to make him center of our life. God is our joy and he makes us who we are and he knows what our purpose is. So all we have to do is just always pray to him. Daily, nightly and every morning.
God has power, the power to create and change us. He is like a surgeon that fixes our soul and body to become a perfect image of ourselves. But our human selves just take it for granted. They just move on with their lives and live a poor life. They don’t listen to God’s advice and they do the thing that they did the first time. Imagine it’s like a computer that crashes every 6 hours. You fixed it 20 million times and you still get the same result. You get annoyed and you give up. But God never gives up. He keeps fixing us because he loves us. And that’s dang awesome.
Peoples’ main goal is to be happy. No matter what they’re doing they are trying to be happy. The bad thing is that people are turing to earthly things that they think will make them happy. People should really turn to God to make them happy. God is Love. Nothing on eath can compare to the love that God has for us.
We should not be upset over little things. God is the most important and we should always follow him.
I think in the scripture today it shows how people followed Jesus because he had the ability to heal. They didn’t necessarily know him but hearing from others that he had the power to heal made them follow him. This continued and it got bigger and bigger because the more people there were, tthey mpre people that could spread the message. I think this goes to show how word of mouth today can spread something, whether it be a good something or a bad something, so we need to pay especially close attention to what we say and what we listen to.
We need to learn that even tho we want to have all poweer we won’t. We need to let Jesus help guide us to what hehas planned for us and not what we want to do because sometimes that doesn’t work out. We just need to pray and go to mass on sundays.
We need to learn that even tho we want to have all poweer we won’t. We need to let Jesus help guide us to what he has planned for us and not what we want to do because sometimes that doesn’t work out. We just need to pray daily and go to mass on sundays.
today, may not be so related but I was just thinking how stressed we are during Covid and we are just trying to control our lives by ourselves. what we need to do is trust God that he has a plan for us just like Aron did at Jericho. #CHRISTian Yolo
Today, Jesus is followed by large crowds who have heard of the wonders He can do. He is not overcome with greed and power and didn’t talk a big game, but was humble and kind. He was not trying to draw attention to himself. We should start living a life of humbleness. Instead of being power-hungry and greedy, we should try to humble ourselves.
This scripture is trying to tell us that Jesus is so powerful that when the evil spirts saw him they were cast away, and that he should be our most important part of our life because he is bigger than than everything that we have and strive for.
The gospel we have today isn’t much of a gospel. I don’t have much to say about this one. But we do hear about what Jesus asks the apostles to do. He says to find a boat for him. The crowd is too big, he explained, and he didn’t want to be overwhelmed by it. Take a man named John. Now John isn’t real, but the point I want to talk about is real. What we’re always missing is that our problems aren’t much different from the problems back then. Back to Jesus. But John doesn’t know; he doesn’t know how to fix his problem, and his problem is that there is this “thing” he doesn’t know how to put back together. He is sad, and lonely and in despair. What does he do? What he does is simple; you’ll see him running all over to try to find something that will fill this gap. What is so hard is that what he wants is God. God is pulling John to Him, but God doesn’t intrude on his free will, and John can run and jump and hop and amble anywhere he chooses; nothing fixes it. Pick God. The crowds weren’t all trying to find him for no reason. Jesus was a beacon, and he is still a beacon now. The truth we hear at mass is a truism, and what says that it is a truism is that it is true. If we’re constantly thrashing in our spirituality with God, what do we do? Act. The difference is action. Pick God.
In today’s Gospel it shows us how powerful Jesus really is. It says” those with disease were pressing upon him to touch him”. That should show us from that sentence that Jesus his true self can do anything. We need to look up to Jesus for any of our problems or needs. He would do anything to make us happy. We just need to talk to him everyday because he loves us so much and we need to love him so much back.
I can reflect on this by asking myself “who am I in this relationship for? am I in it just to have Gods grace? or because I truly love him for saving us from sin.” If I am in this relationship for my own benefits then there is no point to this relationship, but if I am in this relationship to praise and thank God then I need to keep going down this path to love God for saving me, and not just because I want him to do something for me.
This reading made me think about how people like to change sides. It seems that when people heared that jesus cured spirits they just went to him to be cleaned. In reality we can just changes sides we are either with Jesus or not with him there is no inbetween. We need to put our faith and trust in hime and let him know we bekeive in him.
Today the reading is tring to tell us that we need to help people as much as we can because there are many people less fortunet than us in the the world today.
Jesus asked for a boat because so many people were wanting his touch of heaing. Jesus was so powerfu, that unclean spirirts kneeled before him and said ” You are the Son of God.”
In this Gospel Jesus is desired so much that the Disciples had to get a boat so they wouldn’t crush Him. Jesus is still desired to this day but less and less even though He has the power to heal us and is forever forgiving. We should not want the power Jesus has but be humble with the power we do have.
Jesus was so well known that people came from far away. they would alnost crush him because they just wanted to touch him. but still he told them to not spread his name becuase he knew that it was not his time yet.
We need to go to Jesus like the people in this story. When they heard about him, so many went to see him that Jesus needed a boat so that he wouldn’t get crushed by the amount of people. We need to be so excited to see Jesus that we’re willing to go in bunches.
People were crowing around Jesus so that he could cure them from sickness, even if they didn’t truly know him. Our sin is like the illness in the scripture because we want Jesus to take it away from us no matter what. Most people don’t want to put in the effort it takes to get to know him, but want the benifit of him taking away the burden of sin. God is the power we want so we should trust in him to take care of us.
God is Selfless, his whole life was serving others and preaching to others. He wants a realationship with us to be with us so he can be with us forever in Heaven. Some people see God as a being who can take everything bad away. God puts everything in our lives for a reason so before you go and pout about it think what could God be telling you to do with your life. Do not be a follower of Earthly things like sports teams where you adore them so much you forget about God. Be a follwer of the One True King oJesus Christ who died on the Cross for us so that we may be with him in Heaven eternely. I hope you have a blessed and wonderful day
Jesus wants a personal relationship with us. The sick and unclean in the crowd were all wanting his healing touch, and we should ask for healing from our sins. Confession is like this story. We should all be trying to get his forgiveness, which in this passage, is like him healing wounds. Only this goes deeper. While these people wanted healing for their wounds, we want healing for our sins. We sin because of our fallen human nature, and Jesus forgives us, but we just go and do it again. We need to strive to learn from our mistakes and trust that Jesus will forgive you when you do make mistakes.
People were pushing through the crowd to get to him, but only so he could heal them. They didn’t know him or anything they just wanted their sight, hearing, or legs back or whatever they wanted. Lucifer desires to destroy all the love in this world. Those people didn’t love Jesus they just wanted to be healed. We can love him, and we can get to know him. We can’t let the devil destory our love for our families, our friends, and especially for God. In the end, it was always be you and God.
the scripture says that jesus was so powerful that all the unclean spirits that saw him they fell to their knees and shouted “you are the son of God” God should be the most important part of our lives and we should strive to be close to him and fight away the devil.
No love is stronger that Gods. No one has more power than God and God doesn’t even force you to worship him. Just think about that he has the most power and he doesnt even force you to love him. But he will always love you. He doesn’t take advantage of his power. He uses it to help us and to make us happy. He is stronger and braver than anyone and we still chose electronics and sports over him. Just think if you had that much power what would you be doing with it. You probably wouldn’t think to love everybody you encounter.
I can apply this to my life by realizing that God’s love is the greatest. His love overcomes the devil and darkness. God will always love us and will be there with his arms out wide, waiting for us to be with him in Heaven. If continue to grow in our faith, our relationship with God will sprout. We be happier and feel closer to him then ever before. God is love.
I can apply this to my life by letting God take control. He is the head of the Church, and we are the Body. God is so powerful compared to us. He cured people just by a touch. Even the unclean spirits saw Him and said that He was the Son of God. This shows that we should come to Him and ask for Him to cleanse our souls just like how the ill people asked Jesus to cure them. We should ask for forgiveness and then follow Him to live a peaceful and happy life.
This Gospel is trying to tell us that we have too much power. The Devil feeds off that power. If we trust God and give our time to him he will heal us.
Jesus is one of humbleness. He has the power to do anything He wants. But you dont see Him running around screaming that He is the most powerful person ever. His followers grew to a large size when people found out he could heal. The word spread like wild fire. But when He didnt heal every person, for they were not worthy, they were only using Jesus to get what they wanted. And thats were we come in. We cant use Jesus whenever we want something. In a healthy relationship both sides give and both sides take. No more no less. But in a bad relastonship one gives and the over takes, or they both take. So if we want to have a healthey relationship with our Lord, then you have to start giving and less taking.
I can apply this scripture to my life by asking God for forgiveness of sins and by asking him to help the ill. I can also pray not just for myself but for others as well. We need to realise how powerful Jesus really is.
What i got from todays scripture is that Jesus is the healer. Everyone sins and makes bad choices, but how you deal with it is important, take all your worries and desires to Jesus through prayer and adoration, and let him guide you the right way.
What I learned in the Scripture is that if we think that we are so powerful God is even more powerful
In today’s scripture Jesus is telling us that if we are sick or in need that we can turn to him to help us or to give us comfort.
In the Gospel people freely go to Jesus. But a lot of times in our life we require God to call out to us. But we should voluntarily go to God. And adore him and pray to him.
I learned today that when we’re in need for God we woun’t just instantly get what we want, but unless we have a clean spirit God will heal us.
I can apply this to my life by being more faithful in God even through hard times like now with Covid.Basically all we need is to have faith that God will lead us in the right direction so we can get to heaven.
In today’s scripture passage, it says “He warned them sternly not to make him known”. This shows that Jesus wasn’t healing people for the fame. He cared about the well being of others. I can apply this to my life by caring for others for the sake of helping them, and not being a showoff.
In the gospel, Jesus is healing those with physical illnesses and casting out demons. When we pray to him and ask him for forgiveness, he forgives us regardless of what we did or how much we did it.
What I take away from this is Jesus really has the power to heal anyone and everyone. It could be a actually disease like maybe cancer or he can heel us just from our sins. We must pray repent and ask God to forgive us or to cure our disease.
Jesus’ power can do anything, he can heal us, pull us closer to him, or even take away all our regreats. Jesus loves us enough to look past our doubts and sin. We could do the worst thing posible, this doesnt matter to him.
Jesus wants to heal His people, but he doesn’t want all the fame from it.
In the Gospel reading Jesus had his deciples prepare aboat so that the crowd would not crush him, it also said “He had cured many and, as a result, those who had diseases were pressing upon him to touch him.” We as humans look for what is best for ourselves and don’t stop to think about the good of others. If the crowd thought to thin out or have different groups come a little at a time then Jesus could have healed the sic and drove out unclean spirits. But the crowd thought of what was good for only themselves and forced Jesus to flee the crowd so he could fuful his ultimate pourpose of coming to Earth as a human, To die on the cross so that we can live with him in love forever.
The scripture tells us that the sick trusted and believed in Jesus so they went to him to be cured of their illnesses. we should be like the sick. we should trust in God and go to him whenever we are in need. Because God will help us.
What I took from today’s reading is that I need to follow Jesus’ path. We can not live without him, therefore we should follow him and lead other toward his compassion. When he cured the sick, it reminded me of forgivness, not only is he forgiving them but showing how much he loves and cares for them.
We always want God to do things for us but never give him anything in return. We can’t loose our faith with God if something doesn’t go our way or if our life is hard. God will be the one to guide and help us through those tough times.
The people in todays Scripture are just like us. They long to be cured and have their pain and sufferings taken away by God. They all wanted to be touched by God hand just like how we want to be touched by God’s heart. We can by touched by God’s heart by establising a realtionship with him and talking to him like you would a friend. if we establish a realtionship with him, he will cure our brokeness and hardships just like in today’s gospel.
In todays writing I find it interesting that this love that is offered to so many is tossed around and put in the trash because we need to have a better social status or because your friends are doing something so you think that you should do it too.. Everybody desires something that is right infront of them yet they go down the wrong path following the devils temptations. Gods love is so great! It is the key to unlock a pure heart.
God was followed from many beyond places just so that the people that were following believed that they would be cleaned and cured. I can use this scripture today to notice how much people follow you once you have power. I mean take a look around in school. You see many different GROUPS not just one swarm of people but they all have a leader that they follow. never do they let people in because the way they are they choose who they want they don’t let you choose them. You can see another example of this when the town has everyone together happy but they kick out the people that are lepers. Never should that be the way to live because the kindness that God has he cured them and brought them in.
In our life we want to get closer to God. God is so powerful in many ways. In the scripture People heard what Jesus could do so they all followed him to be healed. As we grow up we need to continue our grace with God.
We count on God to care for us.
Jesus will will heal or purify anyone if they believe in him and the sacred scriptures.
We always let God do the work and never us. So we should start getting closer to him as time goes on instead of making him do everything because he deserves more.
This scripture today shows us and gives us a sign to be more faithful in God because just like the people swarming him they believed they wanted to be cured and that is how we should feel want to be cured by God from our sins so we can get closer to him and go to Heaven in eternity with Christ.
People from all kinds of places heard about Jesus and were coming to him so that they could be cured. In this gospel we need Jesus when Times go bad. We also need him when a family memeber had something go wrong we can Pray to Jesus so that he can help that Family Member
In this gospel Jesus tells his deciples to have a boat ready for Him so that he doesn’t crush anyone. In this gospel I feel like Jesus is saying that those who belive in Him will be healed.
This reading tells us that we shouldlet God come into our lives. And with the sinning people dropping on their knees in front of Jesus me should let God into our lives fully and ask for forgiveness.
God has put so many miracles in our lives but we are so caught up in the world that we dont even notice. And I think its really sad because when we are so caught up in the world we dont make time for God, and all God really wants from us is to spend a little bit of time with him each day. Because when we die there is no one more chance or one more minuite to spend with God when we die God makes the ultimate decision on whether we have lived for him or for the world.
If this many people follow and listen to Him we need to think how loving He is. Today if there was a large crowd around a celebrity they would get security. But with Jesus He welcomes everyone. He makes sure that He will be able to spread the word of God.
This scripture is telling me that we are like the people with diseases. We follow Jesus so he can heal us.
As chlidren of God ithink tha we should go to God and be cleaned just like the people inthe Gospel.
This reading really opened my eyes to how it was in Jesus’s time. He was like the most famous tik-toker or sports player to many people. He would have mobs of people around him asking for his blessing. That is why I think more people should be going around preaching about all of the miracles that Jesus performed. Then everyone would understand that Jesus is God and that he should be followed throughout his life. So if I would take one thing away from this reading it would be that Jesus was the “number one” in many people’s lives back then so he should be our “number one” today.
God is not scard he looks at impurities and looks throu them and cures them God is saying “come to me and i will heal” in my mind when i read this passage.
I can apply this scripture to my life by knowing that if I ask God for healing and if I am patient then he will heal me. All we have to do is ask for forgiveness and God will give it to us.
In todays gospel, we could apply this to our lives so that God and guide us to the right path. So that He can teach us how to love and serve Him, and to not put anything before HIm.
Today in the Gospel, people want to get cured by Jesus and one of the reasons they do so, is because they know he has power. I can apply this Gospel passage to my life by using my knowledge and skills in ways that Jesus would want.
I think it is amazing that even the demons bowed for Jesus. This means that if I ask for Jesus in a time of temptation I will hopefuly resist Satin.
What stood out to me today was how Jesus requested a boat be ready for him due to the massive crowd that was piling up just to praise Him and to get a touch from Him. People noticed that Jesus is the one true God and He is healing. He is generous and compassionate and heals us from whatever sin we have commited, no matter how big or small. He views us all the same with love, and we are able to receive the same treatment in Confession when we receive His grace and He cleanses us from sin.
This scripture passage tells us that Jesus asked his Desiples to get his boat ready because there where lots of people coming to see Jesus. This is similair to when we get offended by other people and do nothing about it and Jesus does something about it so when someone offends you tell someone and ask them to help you to get out of that sittuation.
What I think is really cool about this scripture passage is that everytime Jesus would walk by, people would say the He is the Son of God. I just think that it’s really cool because some people thought Jesus was just some guy pretending to be the Son of God, BUT during this scripture people said that He was the Son of God.
This scripture shows us that Jesus did not want to get crushed so he asked his Deciplies to get a boat ready and what this shows us is that when we runaway it is not always because of fear and can also be to protect others so not everytime you reject someone or something it does not always mean it is because of a bad thing and it can be for saftey of others.
I beleve that miracles happen for a reason and that God is the person to make these miracles happen
I think that Jesus is trying to tell us in this Gosple passage that we neeed to trust Him. We need to not just trust in Him because we know He’s performed miracles, but because He loves us. We need to understand that God has a plan for us and that He will guard our lives with His Divine Being. We must place our lives into God’s care, and for us as humans, well that’s difficult. We all get scared about things in our own lives, and our own death, that we never think to turn to the one who lived through fear (His crucifixion). He sweat blood, He was so scared and stressed. Jesus is the immortal Consoler, and HE WILL comfort you in your stress, anxiety, depression, grief, fear or whatever it may be in your life. Turn to Him in times of need, as we would to a friend or parent. He is here for you, even unto death!
I think this means that we really need Jesus. Without him, we wouldn’t be alive. We wouldn’t be anything. We need him to protect us and lead us to Heaven.
In today’s gospel is Jesus saying that he is God. He is trying to get everyone to Heaven he made people on Earth for a reason. Jesus wants us to believe in his love and faithfulness.
I can apply this to my life because I can ask for forgiveness and ask Him to cure me of my sins through the sacrament of Confession, and i know that he will answer because he always listens and is always there for me.
The scripture tells us that God will guide us through the right path. If I ask him for healing he will heal me.
today scripture is about Jesus healing people who had diseases. this like is us coming to him to be cleaned from our sins
I beileve that this gospel is as it is on face value. Jesus didn’t want to be crushed to he went into the boat. If there is any hidden messages then it would be that needing alone time is good. Jesus understands that we need sometimes we need time to ourselves like he did in the boat.
I know that God sent Jesus down from Heaven to let the living know that there was one and only God and when Jesus Christ himself split the sea the people from Jerusalem, Idumea, and Jordan knew that God was the one to love not the bad and evil that the devil put into thier minds. They didn’t know that Jesus was sent from Heaven they didn’t know that God was so powerful.
God is what we truly want, not power.
#Christian YOLO
this tells us that even Jesus was rushed at times but he held through. when jesus was being rushed he might have expeirenced fear. the devil wanted that to happen but if jesus can do it, we can too.
Jesus is wanting us to have a personal relathionship with him. He wants us to get to know him better, he knows us so well but do we really know him? Jesus just walks around and everyone knows him that they shout, “You are the Son of God.” He goes around healing people helping people out. Though not every one may like him, he still helps those people out. He probably helps them out even more so they can get to know God.
People come to Jesus to be healed just as we do today.
What I thought was pretty cool was that, people with diseases, sicknesses and stuff like that, came up to Jesus and Jesus didn’t react in disgust, He welcomed them. I think that through this Gospel passage God is trying to tell us to accept people for who they are and help those in need. Don’t judge people, or think that they are less important than you just because they are different. God wants us to love everybody, treat everybody as you want to be treated and be accepting to everone.
God loves to heal people but you cannot force your self on him. Anither thing is to truly beleive in him. Do not just exept it and leave.
What I took from todays Gospel was that we should believe in God and trust him and have him trust us. We can do better by not sinning as much and not skipping mass on Sundays and believe more in him.
This Gospel tells me that we are not in control. Jesus is the Almighty and Powerful. We pray to Him for blessings, help and etc. We may get what we ask, we just need to repay that for loving others. Helping, loving, and being graceful is important. To have better live we need to realize we are not controlling Jesus. He died for us that is why I love Him so for doing that. The reason, so I can do better things on Earth, so I may get to Heaven, and have time with the Holy one. Being with Jesus is a desire, we just need to control ourselfs from temptation.
“those who had diseases were pressing upon him to touch him.” To touch him. They desired to touch him because they knew they would be healed. You would have to have so much faith it almost seems impossible! And yet there were so many people, “He told his disciples to have a boat ready for him because of the crowd, so that they would not crush him.” Imagine how many people that would be. What would you do? Imagine, a man comes to your town claiming to be the son of God. Preaching of love and peace. Would you believe him or reject him? Follow or ridicule? Love or despise. Pray with him or Crucify him? Do you believe him or reject him? Do you follow or ridicule him? Do you love or despise him? Do you Pray with or Crucify him? Our Lord. Our Savior. Our Father.
God desurves way more then we try and do for us and we are so thankful fot that but we should do more for him because he dose everthing for us and we should jus try and do all we can for him.
Jesus wants us to trust him and everything he does. The people that followed him had trust in him and they made it far in there faith. We need to be like the people that followed him and put are trust in God.
i take this to mean that we are nothing with out jesus and that we need him to get to heavn
The Gospel today is telling me that Jesus will to anything to cure us and save us from our sins. In this story he was afraid of getting crushed, He could have just not came to the gathering and avoided all the people that were there, but He didnt, He went on aboat to do the thing He does best. Save, preach, and most important…cure
What I am getting from this reading is that sinners can and will always be forgiven by Him. He is very powerful and we pray to Him because we believe He will help us.
This Gospel is telling me that people like Jesus don’t want the attention or the fame they get for doing the things they do. They do those things because they love and repect and looked up to Jesus as their role model. Making Jesus your role model will change your life. It will make it better in ways you can’t imagine. We should live humble lives and help, love, and repect others and not do these things for fame. We should do these things out of love. Jesus did. For us to. Why shouldn’t we?
Today I think that Jesus is reaching out to us in the scriptures and asking us to discover him in our way, In today’s scripture it says that “whenever unclean spirits saw him they would fall down before himand shout, ‘You are the Son of God.’He warned them sternly not to make him known” this is Jesus allowing us to know him, he dosen’t just want you to know him through somone else, we can know that he loves us and we could try to know everything about him, but we still wouldn’t know him. He wants us to discover him and know him in our own way.
i can relate this to my life because Jesus healed people with diseases just like in confession Jesus can heal me of the sins i comitted because he died on the cross
this reading is reminding me about how forgiving and mercyful God is. And healing, Jesus healed so many people whether it was from a sickness or they were stuck in sin. He will pull us out of the evil and guide us to the good. We have to have faith and love in Him.
This Gospel today tells me how powerful Jesus is and that he will do anything for us. If you are struggling with something you should always know that Jesus is right there with you and can help you with anything, Jesus loves us and we should love him to.
I think that this Gospel is saying that Jesus will heal everyone no matter what. Jesus loves everyone and everything because he created everything in Nature. He loves you even if you sin even if you purposly disobey him, he still loves you no matter what.
This means to me that God is so powerful and almighty but we need to still pray for him and others. Also this means to me that we need to not only pray for friends, family etc but to pray for our eniemies. We must thank God for what he has done for us everyday.
What jesus is telling us is that we need to trust him with what we have.He heals and cleanses,we ask and he listens.Jesus overcomes anything in our life.he said,”he told his disiples to have a boat ready fro him because of the crowd”.Jesus was patient with us and does anything to make us happy.
The Gospel today is telling me that we should live humble lives and not strive for fame in the good things we do for people. If we do good things just for fame and recongntion, then is it really good? Jesus was humble and did not want the fame. He did the good things he did because He loved us. So if He is willing to help us even after we persicuted Him, why shouldn’t we follow His example and love and do good things for others too. Be humble, love and help others, and offer it to God.
In this gospel I thought about how many people used to go look to God for help, guidence, or curing, but now, people don’t think about asking God for help as much as we used to, or as much as we should. God is still there for us always, just like he always has been, but we aren’t spending as much of our time as we should be looking for his help. We just think that we can get through things by ourself but we obviously can’t and we need God’s help.
I think that todays Scripture is telling us to not get so caught up in all the things that are going on in the world. Like Mr. Goertz said, those things can have power and somrthimes they have power over us. We should try and not lt those things get a hold of us and focus on the little things in life.
We think we have all the power in the world but God was able to heal sickness and diseases. God wants to heal everyone but he can’t force us to let him heal us.
The part that stood out to me was when Jesus had the apostles get a boat ready for Him. It stood out because there were so many people who wanted to see Jesus that He had to move onto the water to not be surrounded and crushed, and they all believed that He could heal them. It is amazing that the people all believed in Him so much that they would stand in a crowded area just to see and, maybe talk or get healed by Jesus
I think that the scripture today is telling me that we as humans need God, even to the point of crowding around Him so much that He needs to use a boat. The desire of those people is amazing, even though I have probably heard about things like this happening to Jesus hundreds of times. We need God more than anything else, and it’s about time I started acting like it.
We are all called to follow Christ. Through Communion we recieve Him and he lives in us and through us. He knows our every move, no matter if we hide or not. Adam and Eve tried to hide themselves and their sin from God, but God saw it everything! Satan tempts us every single second. We need to learn to fight that temptation if we want to get to Heaven and be united in God’s Kingdom.
In the Gospel, the people came to him to be healed and cleansed. In that same way, we should come to him. He is what will fill our soul and he is what will give us life. We should go to him in prayer and ask for his grace and healing.
“He warned them sternly to not make him known” Jesus didn’t go around healing people to show off, He healed because he loves us. We must want to go to confession as much as the people in the reading wanted to touch Jesus.
I can apply this to my life byknowing that God did not want to be a show-off and everything, he just wanted to save us.
