Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.
Jesus went to the district of Tyre.
He entered a house and wanted no one to know about it,
but he could not escape notice.
Soon a woman whose daughter had an unclean spirit heard about him.
She came and fell at his feet.
The woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by birth,
and she begged him to drive the demon out of her daughter.
He said to her, “Let the children be fed first.
For it is not right to take the food of the children
and throw it to the dogs.”
She replied and said to him,
“Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.”
Then he said to her, “For saying this, you may go.
The demon has gone out of your daughter.”
When the woman went home, she found the child lying in bed
and the demon gone. MK 7:24-30
The Syrophoenician woman is a non-Jew and a foreigner. She is unclean according to Jewish law. She has not been raised in Jewish ways and does not understand or know about the story of God and His chosen people of Israel. This is why Jesus says, “Let the children be fed first (Jews).” She perseveres, “Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.” She understands that she is not worthy but she believes Jesus has the power to heal her daughter who she loves. Faith consists of trust, perseverance, and humility. As we are about to embark on another 40 days in the desert, we will be fasting, praying, and giving alms. This is a great checkpoint to see how strong your faith is. What parts of your life or sin is leading you away from Christ? Is your faith lukewarm? Do you desire holiness? Ask Jesus to increase your faith this Lenten season!
Today’s challenge: Faith begins with hope. Pope Francis said that Christian hope is born in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a belief that begins in your heart. When we realize we cannot do life on our own, we fall to our knees and ask God for help. We then start a journey of faith by seeking Jesus Christ and we sit and begin to learn about Him in the Scriptures. Once we have discovered the joy that Christ brings, we want to share it, which is love.
God, please increase in me faith, hope, and love.
Be a servant, become a saint!
#Christian YOLO
How I can apply this to my daily life is be repenting and coming back to Jesus because for forgiveness.
If we believe in God’s power and ability to heal us he will do it as long as we are consistent with prayer and listen to him.
I can apply this to my life by giving all my trust to God. By trusting God with my life I can live in a much more peaceful life full of joy and not worry.
This scripture says that even if you go to preach to a person with no religion they could still follow Catholicism and Jesus
I can reflect on this Scripture by knowing that God will save everyone.
We always know we have Gods or Jesus’ presents around us. He will always for give you even if your not Catholic no matter the sin it will be forgiven.
I can apply this into my life by desiring Christ and try not to be lead away from Christ in anyway. We must turn away from sin adn trun to God instead.
In today’s scripture God is telling us that if we ask him for anything he will only give it to us if we follow his teachings and that even the unclean people can get healed.
In today scripture a woman says that the children need to be fed first. She is also not a Jew and she is still nice. What i think the take away from this scripture is that Jesus welcomes every one. He does not disclose anybody
I feel as if God is telling us that we should mistreat other no matter the circumstance. we should acknowledge them as people like how he tells the woman to stop giving the scraps to the dogs and give it back to the child.
We have to listen to and understand what Jesus is saying to us. We have to start preparing ourselves for lent by praying and fasting. If we don’t we wont appreciate what we have and all that God has given to us.
We are worthy of God, he helps us get through tough things, he is always by our side. We except everyone, we love one another,we cherish each other. What helps us love each other is God. No matter what they are like muslim, jewish, etc. We let everyone in our boats to help one another.
We are the children of God we need him to forgive us and give us grace. But before he can heal us we must be truly sorrowful. We must eat his word of wisdom and absorb his knowledge as he feeds it to us. Before we enter paradise with him we must feed off the grace he gives us.
We should let Jesus be the light of our life and to protect us from sin and all evil spirits. To feed kids first and to eat last for we should sacrifice like God did.
I can apply this to my life by taking care of God’s creatures and not just take care of myself, I can also pay more attention to the nature and people around me. Next I can make sure that the world around me is clean and try to keep it clean instead of walking right past the trash. Last I can pray that my sins will be forgiven like the little girl that Jesus drove the demon out of
When the woman realized that the man was Jesus, she fell to his feet and begged of him to drive the demon out of her daughter and Jesus granted her request.
I don’t really know what to say about this reading today. I mean, there is a good theme about it, like never stop persisting when reaching out to God, but there isn’t much to say after that.
Jesus tells us to be patient and he will do a miracle when he’s ready.
If there was a dinner show on TV, the time was set back in the days of Jesus, and it was based off of Catholicism, this is what it would be like:
Announcer: Here we are at the dinner table!
For today’s dinner we have the lovely steak, the generous mashed potatoes, and the faithful veggies
Today joining us for dinner will be…the Jews. (crowd: YAY!) ..and the Gentiles…(crowd: BOO!)
All the food that the guests will not eat will go to the dogs on the floor! (Jews start staring off into space)
However, this is not a race to see who can eat the most!
Ready…Set…BEGIN!!!
(Jews start eating as fast as they can and get no taste to their food, however the Gentiles eat very slowly and get the great taste that God gave them.)
(Food is all eaten in 14 minutes)
Jews: we did it!
Announcer: the winner is…the Gentiles and the Jews!
(Gentiles start handshaking each other, while Jews grumble because it was a tie)
Jews: WHY is it a tie?
Announcer: Because this was not a race to see who could eat the food
Jews: What!? You never said that! And if you did, what is the point in that?
Announcer: Well then, you should have listened. It is still a tie!
(end of show)
The announcer is all of the prophets that tried to explain the Messiah to the Jews. They all thought that the messiah would be a strong, handsome man, when really Jesus is a humble carpenter. The Jews thought that the messiah would save them from other governments, when really Jesus saved them from sin. Isaiah explains us that in his prophetic words. The woman was a Gentile who believed Jesus had power to heal through God. So should we.
How I can apply this to my life is by desiring God and all his good deeds, and by taking care of his animals and plants.
I can apply this to my life by knowing that God loves his followers more than anything.
I can apply this to my life by starting the journey of faith and following Jesus
In this passage Jesus is trying to say that the children come first before anything else.I have seen a lot of movies and commercials were kids put the broccoli of something they don’t like under the table so the dogs can eat it is basically what Jesus is saying what not to do.
What I got out of this is that God will always take anyone in the world in no matter their color of their skin or their religion. He will always open his arms to people that will trust him fully. Also that God is more powerful then we are so we should fall down and praise him forever
This Scripture tells us that when you trust in the Lord’s power, He can do wonderful things for you and your family. When we think of power, we think of super heroes like superman and the avengers, but the ultimate power is in our Lord. When we believe in His true power, we are truly set free of our demons.
I can apply this to my life by asking God for forgiveness. And always having trust in God.
This passage helps me understand that we are nothing compared to God and the Holy Family yet they are always looking down over us in protection. They are so pure and we try our hardest to look up to them yet we still sin. God is the most forgiving thing that has ever looked on the face of this Earth. He will always forgive you if your truly sorry.
Jesus can convert anyone no matter how neglectant they are. No one can resist him.
In this scripture, Jesus shows us that it doesn’t matter what religion we are, or how different we are, we are all God’s children.
The Gospel is telling us that we need forgiveness form God to get to heaven.
We need to be persistent and be aware that we are unclean. Only God can clean us, we depend on him. We have to fully believe in Him so we can get to heaven.
In this scripture passage I got that no matter who we encounter we should treat them with respect because they are a person just like us and no less. Also we should always come to Jesus when we need help and not run away from him, he only wants to help us reach Heaven.
We are worthy of god but god will go to the ones that need it the most first. So we must wait until he can help us. We should always believe that he will be there for us.
Jesus is the path to freedom. We must acknowledge that He is truly the Son of God and to not be afraid to ask Him for forgiveness.
In today’s scripture, the woman was asking Jesus to save her daughter from the evil spirit inside her. the woman knew she was unworthy of asking him of anything but she still tried because she believed he could. We need to remember that even if we are unworthy god will always love us. We are unworthy of His love but He still showers us with grace and forgiveness. The Lord will always be their for you, you just have to show faith.
I can put this in my is by going to Mass and Confession at least once a month. I also can use my prayer time to speak with God.
I can apply this to my life by seeking for God’s help and opening up to him. When I lose something, someone, or hope, I can fall on my knees and ask God questions and have a simple conversation with him. If I want to be faithful, I must trust God and be hopeful.
I can apply this scripture to my life by including everyone in all that I do. We can also try to turn to God instead of letting all the other things that are not as important as God get in our way.
I can apply this to my life by praying and trying not to lead away from God in any way, and letting God be the light of our life.
I think God is trying to say that he is letting everybody follow him sinner or not. You can be a foreigner, but God will let you follow Him anyways.
I can apply this to my life by using what God has out in front of me and using those things to get closer to him
I can apply this to my life by coming to God anytime and telling Him anything. I can talk to Him whenever I need to and be with God whenever.
We must trust in God that the time will come that we will receive what we pray for. God isn’t just a machine that we can get anything from. We must keep the faith and know that God is watching over us and praying for us as well.
What I think God wants me to take away from this scripture passage is that we aren’t worthy of what God does for us. He does everything and yet, we give Him nothing in return. We should strive to grow closer to God and grow in a relationship with him, so when he does come again, we aren’t sent away empty.
God’s message is to feed the children first. I don’t believe this gospel message is aimed directly at us. It’s more so for those whom influence are spiritual lives. Whilst we still can attain it’s meaning. It’s directed at a notion of teaching. Feed the children then throw it to the dogs. Help our generation, help those whom shape the future. Then help among yourselves. Teach us siblings, feed us with knowledge. Then go about yourself.
Today Jesus tried to go somewhere unseen but a lady saw him. She went up to him and asked him to drive the demon out of her daughter. He said to feed the children and not give the food to the dogs and she said even the dogs under the table eat the scraps of the children. Then when she got home she saw that the demon was out of her daughter. I can use this in my life by knowing to always believe in God even if it sounds strange.
I can apply this to my life by making sure he knows I love him, and i can respect all living things. I need to make him the center of my life, and have him guide me.
What I got from this was that we need to have faith in God. We need to fully submit ourselves to Jesus. We need to be patient and never stop talking to God because he never stops listening. We need to know and believe that he hears everything we say.
This woman realizes she is unclean and she relates herself to dogs eating table scraps. We are also like the dogs eating the table scraps, and the table is heaven while underneath it is down on earth. The scraps we get are like the sacraments, little pieces of Jesus that we can receive, but are really not worthy to. Just like the woman, we have to be able to realize we are not worthy of the sacraments, and that God’s grace is a gift.
Today Jesus is telling us that he will heal us if we have faith in him. We are not worthy of him but he chooses to heal us anyway.
I can apply this to my life by not asking God to help me so much, but to ask for him to help other people. Like the woman at the beginning and she begged to help her child and get the demon out of her, and not asking for herself.
This reading is saying that even a gentile had faith in Jesus and that we should too.
We need to be more humble and selfless. We should put all our trust in God and love one another. I can apply this to my life by helping others and being kind to everyone.
I think this is telling me to put others before myself, because Jesus said “Let the children be fed first.” Just as the mother put her daughter first, I should put others who need my help first. You should always put the people in need first and yourself last.
In today’s Scripture the woman realizes that the man is Jesus and she falls to his feet and begs him to take the demon out of her daughter that she truly loves. The woman didn’t grow up a Jewish faith so Jesus said to “let the children be fed first.” and then she replied saying that even the dogs eat the the children’s scraps under the table. He then granted her wish and she went home to see that the man was truly God and that she had no longer had the demon in her. God wants for us to trust in him and to listen to him and we will be granted the most amazing thing possible in life if we do. Eternal life.
God gives us grace and we can use it for him or against him. We need to lower our selves like the lady in the gospel, and not think we are above. This passage is telling me that I need to help other open there eyes and see that God is truly alive. Just as the lady ask for God to help her daughter that had a demon in her. God granted her request and her daughter was healed just as we are healed when we walk into Mass and bless ourselves with Holy Water.
I can apply this to my life by taking care of myself along with everything around me. And if I do something wrong I know that God will forgive me; Even if it was a really bad sin, he’ll still forgive me. It says in the reading “Let the children be fed first. For it is not right to take the food of the children and throw it to the dogs.” She replied and said to him, “Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.” To me this means that i should put others before myself and be not as selfish.
When the woman says “lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.” she means is even those who are not worthy of Gods love get some anyway. Jesus sees the faith in her, he sees that she knows that even though she is not a jew God loves her anyway. Her trust in Jesus saves her daughter. We need to realize that we aren’t worthy of Gods love and grace but he gives it to us anyway, but if we don’t trust him and we aren’t brave enough to ask for it or we don’t think we need it then we won’t go to heaven. We need to trust God and he will give us what we need.
as we enter our time of fasting, we must trust that God will lead us through it. We must trust in him to guide us through thick and thin. We must put ourselves under God and put our pride aside. We got to understand that God is above us and we must obey his command. By humbling ourselves, we can have a better relationship with God.
Even if our spirits are unclean, if we have trust, faith and allow the Lord to guide us he will forgive us.
We need to have faith in God and trust in Him. We need to let God know that we love him. We need to be humble and kind and selfless in order to have eternal life in heaven with God.
In this scripture Jesus is humble, when he found a place to stay he didn’t want anyone to know that he was there. We must trust in God fully as the woman did and our demons will be driven out.
I think this is kinda telling us that anybody can be forgiven. I feel like some people in the world think they cannot be forgiven by God because of what they have done. This is not true. Anybody can be forgiven by the power of Chris.
Jesus healed a woman’s daughter even though the woman knew she was unworthy of it. We should always trust Jesus because he will help us if we trust in him like the woman did.
We need to follow God because he will help us with whatever we need and whatever we are getting through, we should take care of ourselves but also realize that God will take care of us to if we pray to him, since he is taking care of us and will than we need to take care of his things and respect everything he gives and has given us
In this passage Jesus took a demon out of a little girl. He was disscusing with the woman with a child who is has an unclean spirit in them. “Let the children be fed first. For it is not right to take the food of the children and throw it to the dogs.”She replied and said to him, “Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.”Then he said to her, “For saying this, you may go.The demon has gone out of your daughter.” . I think He says this to the woman to tell her to not be selfish and to be humble.
God will answer our prayers if we trust in Him. Even a Gentile who hadn’t believed in God knew that Jesus could heal her daughter. The woman realized that she wasn’t worthy but still trusted Jesus. Since we are Catholics, we should be the ones who especially trust in God.
In today’s gospel, Jesus wants us to be humble, caring, and faithful. He wants us to always do His will, so we can be with Him one day in heaven.
The scripture is telling us to put others before ourselves. Jesus said, “Let the children be fed first.” We are all children of God, so we need to put each other before ourselves. If we do this, we will be a lot happier, and we can make a lot of people happier.
God has everything to give. Lucky for us, he is willing to give it to us. We should ask for it and if it is with his will, he will give it to us.
When I read this I immediately thought of how people today want everything for themselves. Of course there are exceptions to that, but even when they don’t want something for themselves, it’s for someone close to them. How many of us actually look around out on the street and see just how many homeless people there are? How many of us would ever stop to talk to them? We don’t bother to look around and see those on the streets that need us. Some of our pets have a better place to stay and more food than homeless people. They will go to prison, just for the chance to have a bed and a few meals a day.
The lessons I get from this reading are: look around, don’t be selfish, and help those in need.
We should always take care of ourselves and others. We shall serve others before ourselves. God always wants us to be selfless and kind. IF we sin God will always forgive us because He’s the great. Serve God with your whole life.
I think Jesus is trying to teach me that we aren’t worthy of God. He does everything for us and what do we give him in return? Nothing. We need to strive to grow closer to God so that when He comes again we are able to be with him.
We should always take care of ourselves and others. We shall serve others before ourselves. God always wants us to be selfless and kind. If we sin God will always forgive us because He’s the greatest. Serve God with your whole life.
I am not going to lie, what Jesus says to the woman and what the woman says to Jesus is not an easy thing to immediately know what they mean. It is what Fr. Isaac says something you need to read, then just chew on it for the rest of the day. As of right now what it think the phrase the woman told Jesus, “Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps” means that even the people who don’t know Jesus fruit from the wisdom and example of God’s children.
Our jobs are to be good and holy followers of Christ. Christ spread the good news of God while he was on earth, and even now. We are to be like Christ, correct? Yes, we need to be like Him and spread the word to the people in our lives. He should try to get as many people as we can to Heaven. If we take an example from Jesus, then we will be a good example to other people. We should show others the Holy Spirit inside of us. Be a GOOD example for others!
This is Jesus being humble by not telling anyone. This also tells me to help the sinner.
The woman realizes her great sin and repents for it, which God forgive. God forgives everyone no matter how big or how small the sin was he will love us no matter what.
I think God is trying to tell me that if we trust in him we will live a better life. God wants us to trust him with our lives, so that we can get into heaven and he also wants us to take that big step into our faith to have a better connection with him
This is saying that we should think of other people before ourselves and when we start listening to God and knowing what He can do we will have a better life.
In today’s scripture God is teaching us that any person is allowed to join the Church. He is saying no matter what background they have he will still love them as any person with great love. God is teaching us that no person is higher than one other person. He is saying that we are all equal and we are all children of God. No matter what we did God will still love us for who we are and what we do for him.
In this Scripture passage, I think that it is trying to tell us that Jesus loves us even if we’re not Christian. Jesus loves everyone and that’s why we need to follow Him. Sometimes our faith is weak and we feel that we don’t need God in our lives, but we really do.
We are not worthy of God. He gave up everything for us so we should be willing to give up everything for Him. We need to plan our day around Him; we shouldn’t be making space for God. We should try to help others as much as possible.
When I read this I got to thinking that we take everything for ourselves and that we NEED to give God our attention and let Him take our time just so that we can worship Him. God is the only thing that should be the center of our lives all the time.
This means that anyone, no matter what they have done in their life can convert and become a follower of Jesus Christ. Jesus will welcome anyone into His boat as long as we welcome Him into ours. We have to pray to God everyday for all of the non-believers so that they might someday convert to Jesus Christ.
In today’s Gospel , we hear about the true faith of a woman who believed. She believed so much that she came to Jesus and asked him to cure her daughter. In the scripture today, we see the true power of God. If he just says a word, we can be healed off all our wrongs, all our sins, and all of our imperfections. The woman had faith and her faith is what saved her daughter. If we too have the faith that she had, we will do wondrous things.
It think Jesus is telling me that I must have faith in him. Everything is possible for God and he can do anything. God will answer our prayers and he will always be there when we need him. We can’t use Jesus like a vending machine. We have to have a relationship with him and not just pray to Jesus when we need something.
I can apply this to my life by trusting God that if I am unclean he will help me get clean. We have to be patient in Gods word, we have to believe that he is here for us.
Letting the children be fed first. God is calling us today to tell us that He is here with us. We don’t know the day nor the hour thta He will be judging us. When is comes to that day, I dont know how many people will be ready. Let the children be fed first. Jewish faith has been spreading all throughout the world. God is here to tell us that no matter who you are or what you believe in, He willls till love you forever. Hell is a real place, and unfortunutly people are going there one by one. Let the children be fed first. The children will carry on not only our name, but our Faith as well.
Today Jesus is saying trust in me. we need to trust God more we think that we can do everything but wed can’t we need God to help us. and we need to trust that he will have us in heaven and he will.
Jesus is telling us to know him and trust in him. But not to try to show people we are doing it and stay humble. He will do anything to help us.
I can apply this into my life realizing that God loves us. Yes, he helped the Apostles more so they can teach us,but God will always love us the same. No one is favored by God. The mother was confused and told Jesus that the dogs don’t get the food because they eat it anyways.
Today’s Gospel shows us how great Jesus must have been. I think Jesus’ love and devotion said a lot about Him and our faith . I think that Jesus set a good example of how to live, so even the Gentiles noticed.
We should trust God. He knows everything, and he is trustworthy. We will be rewarded if we do what he wants us to do. We will be rewarded with eternal happiness.
God will answer our prayers even if you don’t believe in God he would still answer you’re prayers. It is our job as Catholics to try and convert people to our religion. So we have to trust in him and follow him so we can better ourslves
I can apply this to my life by knowing that even non-Christian people can be saved, and that that they can even convert. Jesus showed hospitality, and service by driving out the demon in the woman’s daughter. We’ve got to do the same to everyone else and show them forgiveness.
To me this gospel is saying that the loyal people adore god the most and love him the most but even sinners want to know him.
Sometimes we need to trust in God when we can’t do something that he can. Just as the woman in the story we are not worthy for some things and can only ask for help from God
Jesus is trying to forgive us, and some of us aren’t letting him. Even though you something horrid, or rancid, or just nasty in general. He will still forgive and forget. He don’t want us to be mad, he wants us to be friends.
What this mean to me is God always forgives anyone who does not believe in God. He loves us so very much and cares for us with all our heart. The Syrophoenician woman was not a follower but still understood what good Jesus is doing.
I can apply this passage to my life by trusting that God will heal us. We must also have faith that God will provide for us and that he would never abandon us. Even if we turn away from the faith, he will still keeps calling our name.
Jesus love us all, no matter what we believe in or how we sin. He will always help us and love us even when we don’t love him. We aren’t worthy of him, but Jesus gave himself to us anyways.
I can apply this to my life by always remembering that Jesus will always be there for me and believe in me. If i need to ask for forgiveness i will always go to to the one and only Jesus Christ!
how i take this to my mind is that i am going to cherish what i have and be grateful we as people sometimes expect more but the reality is God could have started you here with nothing but he gave you a beautiful mother and father with the best family he could find to fit with you. Be thankful.
I can put this into my life by trusting Jesus with all of my life. The Syrophoenician woman had enough trust in Jesus to ask him to heal her daughter of demons
Mothers alwaywant whats best for their young. This woman who isnt even a jew heard the news and believed. We as humans tend to believe in what we can only see. But we fail to see that if we sit down and drown out the sound of the world and spent time in the realm of prayer, we can begin to see things we have never seen before. All it takes is a little time in prayer each day and it will start to grow. We will experience happiness to a degree we never thought waa possible in this world.
By reading this I know even if we do bad things God can forgive us and heal us. God will always be there for us no matter what. God sacrifices for us.
The scripture passage reflects that we shouldn’t “give our scraps to the dogs.” In this story, it says that, but I think God is telling us something in a different way. What I think it means is that we need to not be selfish, EVERY SINGLE DAY we only care about ourselves, I want this, I need to do that, why am I not like that. no.. we need to stop our, “I need this..”, because we only live once. If we keep acting this way, it won’t get us anywhere in life, but instead.. we need to put others before ourselves.
I can apply this scripture to my life today by being more selfless. When I read that Jesus said ” feed the children first”, I immediately thought of putting others before myself. I didn’t really understand the part about the dogs eating the children’s scraps, but that also reminded me to always try to further understand my faith every day.
We should always be able to talk to God about everything and ask him for help and forgiveness. God will always loves, and forgives us no matter what. We should trust in the Lord because he knows what’s right and wrong. We are to always follow his words and trust in him.
In today’s Gospel, I read about the non-Jewish woman who came to Jesus for her daughter to be healed. She knows that she is not worthy, but she knows that God has the power to drive out demons. What I can take away from this is that I need to humble myself and know that God is almighty and powerful. Also, I need to trust in his will.
The woman was referring to herself as the dogs who eat the scraps. The food is God and His mercy. The woman says even the nonbelievers deserve to have part of what God gives us.
In today’s scripture there is a lot being said. Jesus should be the center of our life. Whatever we do right or wrong Jesus will always love us we are so special to him we truly are. He loves everyone the same no matter what you have done. Jesus will always answer our prayers we just have to wait and be ready for his response and be open to him.
In today’s Gospel, Jesus is questioning the way the Jews do things, and I don’t mean this to be disrespectful to the Jewish people in anyway. However sometimes we seem very caught up in what our society wants us to do. If Jesus were here today, he’d be like the president, and as the president he has advisers (society) telling him what to do. Typically this would be dealing with war, other countries, laws, tax cuts, things like that. But Jesus says no. Jesus wants to tend to the poor, and suffering before he deals with all the other responsibilities. This should be an example for us, and how we should first make sure we’re helping those in need and being a kind person to those around us, instead of caring firstly about the new trends, Instagram, and all those other worldly things. Being kind to other people, and doing what Jesus would want us to do, should be our first priority.
In today’s Gospel, Jesus tell the Jewish woman to let the children eat first. He also drives the demon out of the woman’s daughter. I can apply this Gospel to my life repenting for my sins and always go back to Jesus.
The woman in the scripture goes up to Jesus and asks him to drive out the demon in her daughter. Although this woman wasn’t Jewish and probably didn’t know much about the faith, she understood and realized that Jesus had the power to heal. She just put complete faith in Jesus to heal her daughter, which he did. We need to be like the woman and put our faith in Jesus even in times when we are scared so we can be healed and forgiven.
Today, Jesus drives away a demon who possessed the daughter of a Syrophoenician woman. This reveals to us that Jesus can unchain us from sin’s embrace, and come at our aid to help us successfully ascend into heaven. Most of all, as christian disciples of Christ, our hearts should become directed toward God, our creator in this churning, heart-draining life, so that all this can occur in love of God.
We are all different, but that doesn’t matter. Jesus loves all, and He will always love all. Jesus will be there whenever we come running to Him in a time of need, no matter what. We need to realise that even if we feel like the world is weighing down on us, Jesus will always be there with His arms open. We can go to the Father whenever, He will ALWAYS love us. No matter who we are, where we came from, or what we did in the past.
I can apply this to my life by taking care of God’s creatures and not just take care of myself, I can also pay more attention to the nature and people around me. Next I can make sure that the world around me is clean and try to keep it clean instead of walking right past the trash. Last I can pray that my sins will be forgiven like the little girl that Jesus drove the demon out of
Jesus is willing to give us everything, and he will give us anything if we pray and ask.
