Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Jesus went to the district of Tyre.
He entered a house and wanted no one to know about it,
but he could not escape notice.
Soon a woman whose daughter had an unclean spirit heard about him.
She came and fell at his feet.
The woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by birth,
and she begged him to drive the demon out of her daughter.
He said to her, “Let the children be fed first.
For it is not right to take the food of the children
and throw it to the dogs.”
She replied and said to him,
“Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.”
Then he said to her, “For saying this, you may go.
The demon has gone out of your daughter.”
When the woman went home, she found the child lying in bed
and the demon gone. MK 7:24-30
The Syrophoenician woman is a non-Jew and a foreigner. She is unclean according to Jewish law. She has not been raised in Jewish ways and does not understand or know about the story of God and His chosen people of Israel. This is why Jesus says, “Let the children be fed first (Jews).” She perseveres, “Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.” She understands that she is not worthy but she believes Jesus has the power to heal her daughter who she loves. Faith consists of complete trust in God. In the most difficult times in your life, the worst addictions, the hardest sin, do you believe God has the power to help you through it? Do you believe Jesus is right there with you in that suffering, that temptation? If not, what do you put your faith in? What do you believe?
As we are about to embark on another 40 days in the desert, we will be fasting, praying, and giving alms. This is a great checkpoint to see how strong your faith is. What parts of your life or sin is leading you away from Christ? Is your faith lukewarm? Do you desire holiness? Ask Jesus to increase your faith this Lenten season!
Today’s challenge: Faith begins with hope. Pope Francis said that Christian hope is born in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a belief that begins in your heart. When we realize we cannot do life on our own, we fall to our knees and ask God for help. We then start a journey of faith by seeking Jesus Christ and we sit and begin to learn about Him in the Scriptures. Once we have discovered the joy that Christ brings, we want to share it, which is love.
God, please increase in me faith, hope, and love.
Be a servant, become a saint!

We need to remember that Jesus is always there to run to when we need help. There are so many people that forget that God is there. And He is always willing to help.
You need to have faith in God that he will always be there and be with us in our hardest times.
I think today’s scripture it’s saying we can’t be prideful. I think pride is one of the worst sins because Jesus wasn’t prideful when the Romans were torturing and killing him. We should never be prideful because we have no reason to be prideful. We should be humble because we are no where near worthy to worship God.
I think this scripture means that God can heal and trusting in him will always be the right choice. He can heal and fix if we choose to believe. God always does the right thing whether u like the choice or not, he knows the future and know whats best for us always.
This passage just shows what Jesus is willing to do. He tests the woman’s faith, but she keeps trying. Jesus gives us another one of those, “Go, Your faith has saved you” Moments. Jesus doesn’t care if you’re a jew or not. He just wants you to have faith.
In todays gospel i am hearing that we need to trust God and say everything to Him. Even though the women wasnt a jew she still believed in Jesus and begged to Him. As long as we believe in God He will believe in us.
Today the scripture is telling me that we can’t try to have faith once and give up. What I mean is that we can’t ask God once for something and then give up because we didn’t get what we wanted right away. Faith isn’t believing once. It is believing forever. Even beyond death.
When God is present He is doing right always. He wants the best for you and He is willing to help you on getting to Heaven through casting out demons, evil spirits, and bad temptations of the devil. God is a Man you can trust and a Man you can look to for guidance and help.
This gospel is teaching me that Jesus cares for us even if he’s not here. He will care for us and will always care for us no matter who or what we are, he will still care and love us. This gospel is also teaching me that I should go to God whenever I feel off or I am doubting myself or Jesus. He is there when we need him.
With God If you believe in him he can do anything. your faith can send out demons. God knows people are who truly believes in him and what people actually care for.
In today´s gospel, a woman comes forward to Jesus asking for Him to cure her unclean daughter. She truly believed and understood that she is not worthy to receive Christ´s grace, and Jesus was moved by her faith and drove the demon out of her. I can apply this to my life by trusting in God.
We need to realize how important Jesus Christ is he died for us and nothing can change that. He gave us everything hr had and still people didn’t accept him people still don’t believe if he is real.
“For saying this, you may go. The demon has gone out of your daughter.” The woman believed in Jesus’ works and knew that he could save her daughter. She humbled herself and asked Jesus to heal her, which he did.
Acting the way God told us to is only a tiny fraction of our duty in life. Believing and loving God is what he asks of us, and if we are unwilling to believe, love, and act in Christ then we are no better than hypocrites. Life is a true gift from God and we must not just survive but thrive in it. If we cannot do this than who will do it for us?
I think the Gospel today is saying that even if we don’t understand or know Jesus that well yet we can still always trust in Him. We can go to Him for whatever we need and He will be there. He is always willing to forgive and He’s all loving.
The Gospel, the woman gave all of her faith to Jesus for her daughter. She begged Jesus to take the demon out of her daughter. We need to be like the woman; to give all our faith that we have in something and give it to Jesus.
Jesus loves you no matter who you are.
Today this lady is getting stronger with Jesus and Jesus heals her and takes the demon out of her and this is saying that Jesus can help us and will always love us if we do something bad
Jesus is here to heal us, we just need to trust in Him and pray. He want you to believe in Him to help you during bad time.
Even though the lady wasn’t Jewish, she still had faith and trust in Jesus. She begged Jesus to the demon out of her daughter and he did because she had faith. The woman believed that he could; and he did. So even though we sin and do bad things. We still need to trust in Jesus.
We need to remember that Jesus is the only one who can take away our suffering and sorrow. We need to stop acting like we can doing everything and that we don’t need Jesus. Sooner or later everyone will finally understand we need God.
It was telling us that how if we have true faith we need to put all our trust in Him and trust that he is there with us and if not then you aren’t truly faithful.
This scripture is kinda saying that we should put our faith in Jesus because Jesus wants us to be like that women who said ¨Lord even the dog under the table eats the children scarps we should act more like this women so all of our faith can be stronger.
I think that this scripture is reminding us to trust in God. The woman is told to feed the children first, for it isn’t right for the dogs to have it instead, but then the woman tells him that the dogs would eat the scraps anyway. I think this symbolizes that we should be putting God first, but others will still take either way.
I think what the gospel is saying is that no matter what we have to trust in Him and that He will understand us. The woman in this passage didn’t stop believing and God helped her.
Even though she was not apart of the faith she believed that he could help her. This shows that God will still help those who do not believe in him cause he wants us all to be better in live and after life.
In today’s reading it shows that God will always be forgiving and honest/willing to help us but you must confession and pray to Him. We have to trust and believe in Jesus and know he will save us and not second guess our God.
In this scripture Jesus heals the woman’s daughter and drives the demon out of her the woman would not give up and she fully believed that Jesus had the power to heal her daughter and because of this persistence and belief he drives the demon out of her.
This Gospel is about Jesus caring about us even when he is here or somewhere else.
This Gospel tells us to be persistent with Jesus. If we ask God for a miracle and we have faith in Him then it will happen. Jesus wants us to come to Him because He is our father, our shepherd, and our savior. Jesus will always help us even in times of trouble. I need God in my life. We should all come to the Father. Jesus doesn’t care who we are. We just need to come to Him.
God wants to help us get to help us get to heaven. And guide us to a good life.
I feel like the passage is telling us that no matter what we do Jesus will always forgive us. When the woman asked Jesus to drive the demon of of her daughter Jesus still did it even though she wasn’t a Jew. Even if we do bad things but we believe and repent Jesus will help us. If we have faith in the Lord we will be forgiven.
The woman fully believed in Jesus Christ, she wan’t even a Jew, she was considered unclean. But she believed in Jesus Christ, Jesus knew she had faith in Him. She trusted Him with her life, and her daughters life. So Jesus provided her with a miracle.
What reached out to me was’ “Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps”. What this means to me is that anybody who truly believes and trusts in God can do anything. Even after we sin we can always come back and choose to do the right thing. It’s never too late to return to the Church.
when i read this scripture what i think it said to me was to always listen to God and at his will and believe in what he does and you will be promised a new life by Him.
“Dogs under the table eat the scraps” god is the master we are the dogs. even the small things he gives us are great and make us happy. we should learn to be more greatfull for the small things he gives us.
I think this scripture is telling us that we can’t pray to God once and then give up. We have to keep praying. Just because we didn’t get what we wanted from God in one prayer time, does not mean God wasn’t listening, or if he did’t care. God is always there for us and will always love and care for us.
This passage is reminding me that I can always turn to Jesus. He will always be waiting for me to come to Him. He will never leave me no matter what I do and His love is infinite.
We need to put our faith in God that He will do what is best for us in our lives. God loves us all so much whether we believe in Him or not. God has full control of everything so we should give our happiness, sadness, worries, and anger to Him because He is all that we need in our lives.
This is saying that we need to trust in God, and that we can ask Him our favors. We can do this in prayer.
Jesus didn’t want to be noticed by a crowd this time. He tried to sneak away into a house, even Jesus needed a break. That shows his human side. He isn’t a distant savior. He is close. In our midst.
A phrase that stuck out to me was “For saying this, you may go. The demon has gone out of your daughter.” This has meaning because God fills your heart with love and when he does He forgives your sins. He will always be there when we need Him. He is the light and the salvation. The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow in anger, and of great kindness. We should all act more like the Lord!
I think today’s scripture is trying to say that we need to put our faith and trust in Jesus. Jesus always knows everything, so we need to trust Him and do what is right instead of trying to do things ourselves and choosing the wrong path.
In today´s gospel, a woman comes forward to Jesus asking for Him to cure her unclean daughter. She truly believed and understood that she is not worthy to receive Christ´s grace, and Jesus was moved by her faith and drove the demon out of her. I can apply this to my life by trusting in God
This Scripture is telling us that we must be persistent and have faith. We can’t just ask God for something and immediately expect it to happen. We must have faith and be patient. We need God. Have faith in God.
Even if we do not relate or know God all that well, we must submit to him and let him take control over us and love each other unconditionally. He wants to spend the rest of eternity with us, but in order for him to do that, we must let him into our lives and cleanse our souls
Jesus is always with us no matter what. The fact that this woman got on her knees and begged for him to heal her daughter is crazy. She had so much faith in him. So much hope that he would heal her daughter. That is what I think faith is about. To truly trust and be able to hope because of one person.
Jesus is approached by a woman who had faith in him. At first, Jesus didn’t drive the demon out of her daughter, but after she proved her faith he did. We need to do the same. We must prove our faith to Jesus, if only for him to know we love him.
From today’s scripture passage I got that we need to put our faith in Jesus. The lady from our stoy understood that she was not worthy but still had faith.
I believe today’s scripture is telling us that we need to help everyone, even people we do not know that are sinners.
I thing that this scripture is telling us that we need to trust God. God has a plan for all that he dose so it may not always go the way you want it to you just have to trust him and he will trust your faith.
Jesus will heal every single one of us. He has a unique power to be able to do that. No matter our state in life, no matter where we’re from, no matter our good or bad habits. He loves us and will always be there for us. He will always be there. He will always heal us if we ask and it is His will. He wants to and He will. Forever.
What this scripture reflection is saying to me is that we all need to lay our trust in Jesus. We need to learn that we can lay on him and he will support us. He will always be there for us.
We need to remember God is there when we need Him most. We seem to forget that we can go to God when we need Him. Just remember God is there when we need Him.
Today in the gospel, the woman of the daughter does not feel worthy for Jesus, but wants Him to heal her daughter. I think that many times this is us. We want to go to Jesus, but either don’t feel worthy enough, or the opposite. I know that this is me when I go to adoration. Sometimes I either feel like I shouldn’t be there because I’m not worthy enough, or the opposite, I just don’t have enough faith to believe that he is truly present in the Eucharist. Because of the faith of the woman, Jesus healed her daughter. I can apply this to my life by striving to have more faith when I see the Eucharist in the monstrance.
I think this is saying that the Lord is there for everyone no matter your race or something your born into. The Lord is calling for us and we have to answer. Like the lady we beg at the foot of Jesus for confession, love, and his mercy.
I think that this Gospel is telling us that Jesus loves EVERYONE. You could be a murderer and he would still love you. Just as the woman asked Jesus to cast the demon out of her daughter, we must ask Jesus to take all of our pain and insecurities.
In today’s Gospel, a women came to Jesus and asked for a cleanse on her daughter. She truly believed in God’s grace. I can apply this to my life because I need to work on trusting more in God’s grace. God always knows what’s going to happen next. WE the people need to focus on trusting in God more and good things will come.
The Gospel today is telling me that God will always protect us from anything. God will do anything to keep us safe but we have to believe in him. God loves us and we should love him too.
In today’s reading you can tell that the Syrophoenician woman believes in Jesus because she approached Him even though she is not a Jew and they probably shouldn’t be talking. We should believe like she does. If she can be brave enough to ask Him to heal her daughter even though it wasn’t right in those times for them to talk then we should be able to talk to Jesus because we are in a time that we can do it freely.
Just like us the women was not clean, very sinful and not a well practiced jew, however she put Jesus first in the moment begging him to drive the demon out of her daughter. No matter are past how sinful we WERE we can change and God is always loving and forgiving so never stop your faith in God.
In today’s gospel Jesus says something really interesting “Let the children be fed first. For it is not right to take the food of the children and throw it to the dogs.” and what I think he is saying is that why should the Jewish people go without for a non Jewish woman, the children, the chosen people, versus the dog, the unclean. but the woman replies “Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.” and this is so interesting, she recognizes her unworthiness, but still finds the strength to beg God for his mercy, and we are the woman, we are not worthy, not clean, yet we still need to find the courage to ask God for his grace and strength.
Today, Jesus healed a woman’s daughter who had a demon inside of her. This woman was not a jew nor was she in the jewish faith. She did believe in what Jesus could do and that’s all that mattered
This scripture is telling me that we need God, we need him for everything, for healing, for loving, for giving, for thinking, and even for living. It also reminded me that God will help everyone he sees even if they have nothing to be helped with. God loves everyone no matter what. God loves us though we are sinners, his love for the sinners is so big, no one in history or ever can ever do what God does. When someone sins against us, it might be hard to tell them you forgive them, and even if you do say that, you might still be holding a grudge against them for it. Not God though.
The women did not know the Jewish faith. She was Greek, a Syrophoenician by birth. Yet she knew Jesus. She trusted Him, had Faith in Him to be able to cure her daughter and rid of the demon. When he told her “Let the children be fed first. For it is not right to take the food of the children and throw it to the dogs.” She She perseveres, “Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.” She understands what. She knows. More than the Jewish did. Trust and Faith. That’s all she had.
This scripture tells us that although this woman was not a Jew, she still believed that Jesus could heal her daughter. She knew nothing of how much the story of God means to the Jews, yet she still believed even if she thought she wasn’t worthy. This scripture reflects on trusting and believing in God and this is what the woman did.
What this Gospel is telling me is that anything we ask of God, He will give to us because of His love. We should always have faith and trust in Him, for He is the reason why our prayers go through and how we are still standing on our feet today. He wakes us up for a reason. He will keep waking us up until He sees that the time has come for us to be with Him in His kingdom. If we ask for happiness, we receive happiness. If we ask for forgiveness, we are forgiven. If we ask for love, we receive His love and comfort. We cannot live without Him. Christian or not. We need God forever. Because we can’t do anything all by ourselves. I don’t know who has all realized but we have not done anything by ourselves. God is helping us through everything.
So we should be so grateful that we have a God who has so much love and care for everyone on this world, for we may be lost without Him.
In today’s gospel a women asks Jesus to cure her daughter, she knew that she was unworthy of Jesus. Jesus was moved by her actions and drove the demon out of her daughter. The women in today’s gospel trusted in Jesus, in which we should as well. Have Jesus lead our path and to trust him the whole way and to not have any doubts.
I think this Gospel passage is telling me that if you ask God for forgiveness, and are actually truly sorry, He will always forgive you. No matter how bad what you did is, and now matter how big the sin is, He will always love you, always care about you, and always forgive you. You just have to actually be sorry and God will grant you the forgiveness you need to be at peace with Him.
This gospel is saying that no matter what give your all to God and you will have eternal life in heaven with him forever.
This shows God’s true power and love for us, He will gladly drive demons out of poor little children and all we need to do is ask him in silent prayer to get rid of our demons. like we do in the mass and confession, we ask Him for forgivness and to not be strived by outraged evil.
This scripture tells us that we need to put our faith into Jesus and God because without him we would be nothing and the world would be chaos
She understands that she is not worthy but she believes Jesus has the power to heal her daughter who she loves. This was in today’s Gospel and we can relate to it because we are not worthy of Jesus’s love or anything he has done for us but Jesus loves all of us so much that he doesn’t care if you are worthy he will love you anyway.
I think that this Gospel is saying that we can’t be prideful. I also think it is saying that if we ever need someone to talk to, then we always have God. If we ever are feeling down and like we have no one to talk to to, then we always have Him. He will always listen, He might not answer you right away. But that means you have to keep on praying and listening after your done praying. He will eventually give you an answer, you just have to be willing to listen and keep going.
To me this is a calling from God to me that we need to be looking out for the little kids that don’t have homes and don’t have food. We need to giving some money to some charity because their are kids in need right now as I am writing this who are dying of thirst, starvation, and other things. There are many organizations and companies that are strictly focused on saving homeless kids which I am very grateful for.
The women, like us, was very sinful and didn’t really care about practicing her devout faith and not going to confess her sins. Just because you have sinned a lot and don’t think that God with forgive you is not a reason you should stop going to worship him. He is the reason you are here and on his earth and in his hart. No matter how bad your sins are God will always forgive you for no matter what you do.
I am feeling that this is saying to me, that God is always going to forgive you no matter what you do. God will always love every one of us and never stop. It reflects on trusting and believing in God.
“She came and fell at his feet.” We are all sinners. It doesn’t matter what race we are or how good we think we are, we are still sinners. Although Jesus looks beyond that. Sure he sees all of the sin and he feels it but he takes the pain and sin away and sees us. Who we truly are. And he sees our sorrow for our sins. This is why the woman’s daughter is healed. Jesus sees that she believes in him and he instantly heals her. Help us to be like this woman and ask for Jesus to heal us.
What the gospel is saying to me today is that the demon is like a sin and we as human beings can’t get away with it. We all have sin and some of the sins are really bad but if we show God that we are truly sorry he will give us a miracle and free us from that sin that was on our soul.
Jesus tells a parable in this passage. He is telling us that He wants us to have a good life and is there to help us out whenever we need Him.
Even though the woman was not a Jew she still believed in Jesus. This is telling us that no matter what race we are Jesus still with us. The woman believed that Jesus could heal her daughter. As long as we believe in Him we are united in this faith.
This passage just shows what Jesus is willing to do. He tests the woman’s faith, but she keeps trying. Jesus gives us another one of those, “Go, Your faith has saved you” Moments. Jesus doesn’t care if you’re a jew or not. He just wants you to have faith.
In todays Scripture Jesus is saving a child thats has a demon in the soul of the child, Jesus drive out the demon saving the child. Jesus helps us whenever in need it, so we have to pray to him for forgiveness and spred the word of God
Everyone of us have our own sins that we have to overcome. And if we do not give them to Jesus and humble ourselves then we will just continue sinning and every time we sin it becomes even harder to control our sins. And if we just keep sinning and not repenting and actually feeling sorry for sinning then not only will we go to hell we will be saying no to God. Which is the worst thing we can do as humans.
I think today’s Scripture passage is saying that even if you were a Jew, like the woman, we can believe that God can preform miracles and heal people. We just have to trust that God with do anything for us and can cleanse us of our sins because we all sin, we’re not perfect only God is. We need to show our love for God like he does for us. We all need to start acting like God and make the right decisions so we don’t fall away from Him.
I think that this Gospel is trying to tell us that we need to be kind to everyone. I know that saying we need to be nice to everyone is really cheesy but it is true. In this reading Jesus helps this woman even though she knows that she isn’t a Jew and isn’t worthy of his grace. In our world today there is so much talk about discrimination and hate and racism that we need to look to Jesus because He is the only one that knows everything. All we have to do is be equally nice to everyone. That doesn’t mean that we should go buy seven billion bouquets of flowers for every person on earth but that we should be nice to people when an opportunity strikes us. I remember that in second grade when we were learning about confession and what is a sin and what isn’t, Mrs. Hampton told us about the Sin of Omission which tells us that it is a sin to be in a situation where you should help somebody, and not do anything. So if we were to learn anything from this it should be that God loves everyone so we should too.
To me this gospel is saying that we need to believe that God can do what Scripture says He can. We might not want to believe it because we think that we know what is best, but obviously, we don’t. A phrase that stuck out to me was “She came and fell at his feet.” This phrase stuck out to me because when I talk to Jesus sometimes I feel the need to kneel or make myself small to show Him I realize and respect how big, important, and hard to understand He is. Other times, though, I see people talk to Jesus in such disrespectful ways. Why do we feel worthy of standing tall in front of God and think that we don’t have to bow to Him? He is the creator of everything on this earth, he is the reason for life, and He is the reason anything exists. He could take us completely out of existence and we still go against His ways. We need to be humbled or we might not get to Heaven. That’s the whole point of life.
In today’s Gospel Jesus helps a Syrophoenician woman’s daughter. Jesus didn’t car that the woman wasn’t the same religion as him or anything, He helped her because is was the kind thing to do. I think that this can be something for all of us to aspire to do. Sometimes we don’t help people or do nice things for them because they don’t have the same beliefs as us, but today Jesus is is telling us to be kind to everyone.

I think that this can be something for all of us to aspire to do. Sometimes we don’t help people or do nice things for them because they don’t have the same beliefs as us, but today Jesus is is telling us to be kind to everyone.

I think today’s scripture shows that even when you don’t want something to happen no matter what it still does happen in a way. Even if you are clean and don’t want to be unclean you will become unclean without God’s help to make you clean once again.
What I think this scripture is saying is that we nee to trust in God. As he said the demon would be gone, the demon wad gone. We have to trust in him because he will help us and listen to us.
Today’s scripture is trying to tell us that we should have faith in God. God wants you to be able to trust Him. He wants you to pray to him when you have a problem. We, as Catholics, need to learn to put our trust in God.
In today’s scripture we need to surrender to God and follow his works and we need to go to him with all of our burdens and sins and go to him and ask of him to take them off of us, So he can drive out our demons and let us be free from the attachment of sin.
In this scripture the lady that came to beg Jesusto drive out a demon from her daughter and Jesus was hesitent at first about and wanted the kids to eat before and then the woman said to Jesus.”Even the Dogs will eat the childrens scraps,” and at that moment the demon was driven out.
This is saying that just because you have not recognized that God is within you does not mean that you do not belive in his power to heal people.
This shows us as humans we will never ever be perfect and since we will never be perfect we might think that God can not help us. You might say you have faith and you also might have a unclean soul, but then you say that your soul is to unclean to be healed. When we have faith it means that even in our darkest times of our life that we believe that God can help us. Although the women was not a jew she still believed that God could drive out the demons in her daughter. I learned that having faith means to also believe that God can do anything in any situation.
the gral had a demund and the demun was gone
I think this scripture its about when even when you do not want to do something you should still do it if it is for the greater good. Jesus wants to leave the house but a women asks of him to remove a demon from her daughter and does it.
A phrase that stock out is that Jesus tried to escape. I like this phrase because Jesus needed a brake. If Jesus needs a brake that’s why we need brakes because Jesus go blocked of by a lady with a child that has a demon in her. He tried to not do it but she kept asking him.
Jesus helps everyone. If you have faith, and your faith is great, he will help. It doesn’t matter if you are baptized, or even if you act the way you shouldn’t. If you have faith that Jesus can help you, he will.
This scripture today brings a lot of different meanings. I think the Gospel today is telling us that even if we do not know or understand Jesus that we can still always trust in Him. He is always waiting for us and is ready for you to openly run to him in need of help. We can always go to Him for whatever we need and He will be there. Jesus is ready for us but in our distractions we never even notice it. He is always willing to forgive and He ´ s all about loving us. So whenever you need him get outside of your distractions and run to him and fall in love with him.
Jesus saying, “Let the children be fed first” is practically Him saying that she is a foreinger, and her saying, “even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps” is saying that she knows this, but knows God has the power to drive out the demon in her daughter.
I think the gospel is saying we should trust in Jesus, and always be faithful to Him. The woman was not Jewish, but she believed that Jesus could do something. We should believe that Jesus will always to something for us, because he loves us. Jesus still loves us even when we sin.
There isn’t much I can say about this one. It is straight forward for the most part. One thing I did find quite interesting though was Jesus’ response to the woman’s pleas. “Let the children eat first,” Jesus’ first thought from this woman begging was for the children to be fed. I don’t know what to think of this, but I did find it as a sort of strange response.
What God is saying is we need to help others that may not be like us. For a lot of people if someone came up to them and said help me we probably wouldn’t do it but Jesus would and we need to be like him.
The gospel today talks about a girls mind on her worthiness. Even though the girl was not clean not helpful to the faith or didn’t really care about God. Jesus still healed her. She said God please heal me then Jesus said. Let the children be fed first for it is not right to take food from the children and feed it to the dogs. AT that moment she was realizing he worthiness and new she had to fix what she had done.
Hope begins with Faith. The woman in the Gospel today had faith in Jesus that he could drive away the demons in her daughter. Jesus noticed this and did it.
This gospel is telling me that we should be good to people even when we have our differences. Even though the woman was not Jewish, Jesus still cared for her. He still helped her.
We have to trust in Jesus and be willing to do what he has laid out for us.
This scripture is telling me that we can’t try to have faith and then just give up. We need to keep on trying until we succeed. We need to never give up even when things get though because if we just give up once we think we can’t do something we will get no where in life.
You need to want to grow closer to Jesus. You need to have a strong hunger for the Eucharist. If you want to be holy or pray more often then it depends on how hard you try to do better. But do not think that your hard work can save you from your sins because only Jesus can save you from your sins. Thank Jesus every day for loving you.
I think the scripture is telling us that we can be holy. Because the woman was holy, the demon came out of the daughter. However, if we continue to reject God, we too, will be possesed by demons.
this Scripture is telling us that we nned to have faith in God. If we don’t have faith in God then we won’t have a strong relationship with Him and won’t be able to grow close to Him like He wants us to. We need to put God first in the things we do and remember Him through the things we do with Him. We need to also pray to Him to grow our relationship with God more.
I think that this gospel says that if you’re going to be a Catholic, then you’re going to have to be all in.You can’t be in the middle, or doing it because of other people. He also tells us that whoever we say we listen to and believe in, you really have to choose it. “Therefore, they will be your judges.” He says that the people you believe to drive out demons, they will be your judges. If we truly believe in God, we will let him lead our life.
