Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord
Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
The angel Gabriel was sent from God
to a town of Galilee called Nazareth,
to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph,
of the house of David,
and the virgin’s name was Mary.
And coming to her, he said,
“Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you.”
But she was greatly troubled at what was said
and pondered what sort of greeting this might be.
Then the angel said to her,
“Do not be afraid, Mary,
for you have found favor with God.
“Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son,
and you shall name him Jesus.
He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High,
and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father,
and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever,
and of his kingdom there will be no end.”
But Mary said to the angel,
“How can this be,
since I have no relations with a man?”
And the angel said to her in reply,
“The Holy Spirit will come upon you,
and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.
Therefore the child to be born
will be called holy, the Son of God.
And behold, Elizabeth, your relative,
has also conceived a son in her old age,
and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren;
for nothing will be impossible for God.”
Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord.
May it be done to me according to your word.”
Then the angel departed from her. LK 1:26-38
In Scott Hahn’s book “Joy to the World”, he writes about angels being very present as God brings His Son into the world. The angels appear to Zechariah, Joseph, Mary, the shepherds, and many other Old Testament figures. They are God’s messengers, pure Spirits, highly intelligent, and God loves us so much He gave each one of us our own angel to protect us. When is the last time you talked to your guardian angel? When is the last time you asked God for a miracle? They happen every day and God is present everywhere all of the time. We are reminded of this during Christmas. Emmanuel means “God is with us”.
Jesus says, “Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” MT 28:20
“For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.” MT 18:20 *This is important while we cannot receive the Eucharist. He is truly present when we pray together! We can also make spiritual communions and send our Spirit to Him to visit Him in front of the tabernacle or monstrance any time.
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst. But I said to you that you have seen Me, and yet do not believe. All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.” JN 6:35-40
Jesus makes it very clear that He is present with us and He has the power to save us and lift us up on the last day. The key: holiness. What is holiness according to St. Louis de Montfort, deny yourself. Bishop Barron quotes, “I’m most myself not when I resist God, not when I try to become God, but when I surrender to God.” The key: do the Will of God. How do you know if you are doing God’s Will? Bishop Barron says when we see the fruits of the Spirit in our life: joy, love, peace, modesty, chastity, self-control, kindness, goodness, patience, generosity, gentleness, and faithfulness. Did you pray today? Are you in the state of grace? Are you doing your daily tasks? –Fr. Mike Schmitz
God gave us His Son to reconcile us with Him after the Fall of Adam and Eve. The statement I begin with every blog is, “Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.” Why? The center of the message of Christ coming into the world, during His life, and when He dies is to do the Will of the Father. In the Gospel today, Mary says,”Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word. Then the angel departed from her.” LK 1:38 Mary’s fiat and our fiat is how we respond to the Father who is trying to act upon us and whether we allow Him to each day with each decision.
God chose Mary to be the instrument to bring His only Son into the world. On the cross, Jesus asks us to bring Mary into our homes (lives) speaking to John. It is only right for us to ask Mary to intercede for us and bring our souls closer to her Son, so we too may enter into God’s glory. In St. Louis de Montfort’s, “Total Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary”, he claims this consecration is the quickest way to holiness. Therefore, as we begin to humble ourselves before God, submit our will to Him like Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we will begin to become holy. “The Divine became human so the human could become Divine.”-St. Athanasius
Allow God into your heart today and bring a little bit of the Christmas spirit into your heart. Fall to your knees and worship Him with all of the angels. Miracles will abound!
Today’s challenge: Give your heart to God by doing His Will. It requires sacrifice and patience, but sacrifice brings joy and peace. He has given us His all, it is only fitting we give our all to Him!
Be a servant, become a saint!
#Christian YOLO
This shows us that any ordinary human could be a saint but you need to give God your all.
Mary took up her cross which was being the Mother of Jesus and she had to watch her son go through pain and suffering. We have to take up our crosses and be servants of the Lord. It may seem like a negative having to carry our crosses but it brings us closer to God.
In todays gospel God is telling me that we need to believe in anything that the Holy Spirit tells us, or what an angel or what God tells us. They are always right and you yourself are wrong most f the time. You just need to trust what they are saying because it will help you in the long run.
mary accepted this baby with barely any context and now we have tons of proof and still don’t acknowledge God why?
God chose Mary for a reason, he knew that she would be willing to take the suffering of the world. He did not want to force her to do anything. He allows every one to choose there own choices but will guide people to the right things. All you have to do is listen and God will guide the way.
“The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.” Mary and Joseph went through a lot of opposition by saying yes to God. It was unlawful to have children out of wedlock, and everyone assumed that is what had happened. Joseph and Mary were very strong and stayed with their promise, always saying yes to God.
If God has sent someone to help you realize that He is real then you might as well accept it because He chose you and chose you for a purpose. He made it so that all things we do are through Him, and that can be good things and bad things but God makes it so we realize that we are His people.
The scripture is telling me that we need to accept God’s will. We need to trust that whatever happens in our life are things that God intended. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t use the things we can to help us be healthy and safe and just say “I will die when God wants me to die, I don’t have to take any precautions.” God gave us those things for a reason.
This gospel taught me that I should try and be more like Mary in a way. I should listen to God and let him do what he needs to do with me. I need to trust that God will lead me into his light, and he will protect me when times go hard. I have to trust that he will do good things to me and he will help he help others around me. Trust is a big thing in religions, and without it their would be no faith. That’s why it’s important to trust God, and trust that whatever he does, it’s for the better.
This Gospel is one that we all know, and when it’s one that we all know, it’s easy to just ignore it, or tune it out. But this gospel is one that carries a powerful message: Mary said yes. Had she not said yes, who knows? we could still be waiting had she not said yes to God. But she did. So when Mary said yes to such an important thing, why shouldn’t we say yes to doing the necessities of everyday life? Mary said yes, so why shouldn’t we?
The Annunciation shows us that God can do anything. Even though Mary had no relations with a man, she had a Son. The Son of God. God can do anything if you let Him into your life like Mary did. Accepting God can be easy but to stay with Him may be hard to do.
God has a plan for each of us. We need to accept and take the initiative to follow the plan as Mary did. Mary was willing to do whatever the Lord asked of her, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. Let it be done to me according to your word.”
When the angel Gabriel had appeared to Mary. She was told that she would become a mother at a such young age. She was also told that her cousin would have a child as well, even though she couldn’t have kids. Mary saw hope in God and just rolled with it. God had told her, her plan and she just went with it. We need to be like Mary. God is telling us our plan in life and we need to follow that plan.
Jesus is telling us to be ready for what life has to offer. Joseph had no idea that Mary would have a child soon after their marriage. He almost walked away from Mary, but he knew that Mary was chaste and he trusted her. He stressed for a while knowing that he would be in charge of being the Father of the savior. But once Jesus was born, he was filled with joy. It was his responsibility to father Him, and he took on the challenge with God on his side.
I think this scripture is saying that God is so good. He is always with us and makes sure we go down the right path of holiness as we grow.God gave us his son, it was the best thing that has ever happened to us.
There are many forks in the road of life. We must chose what is chosen for us by God. In the poem, “The Road not Taken” the author talks about how he had to choose between two paths, and chose the one less taken. It takes courage to chose the path God wants us to take. We have to choose one road and after we take it, we cannot look back.
What this scripture reflection says to me is that we all need to be ready for when Jesus calls us. When he calls all of us we need to be prepared for the final day. When he looks for the true followers to be taken to heaven and live with him for eternity.
We should listen to God’s call.
In this scripture is talking about when God picked Mary to bear his son. We should strive to be like Mary, every day because she had the courage to say “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” Mary, had no fear of saying yes, to the Angel Gabriel because she had COURAGE!
Not only does this scripture remind us of God’s power, but it also reminds us of how one word saved us. If Mary had not said “yes,” we would have never been saved by Jesus. She has complete trust in God, and that is something we should strive to be like.
This means that we are always born by a mother
In today’s scripture Mary tells us we need to trust God and the Holy Spirit. We need to make sure we are spending time with God and our faith.
Mary could have said no because she has freewill. She said yes because she knew that God had a plan for her. She knew He was leading her down the right path. God wants us to go down the right path. He wants us to follow a life of holiness and virtue.
Marry accepted God when he called she was open to his call and she listened to him just like we need to listen to his call. God is always calling and we just have to listen in prayer and in silence
In today’s Gospel Jesus is in the womb of Mary. We need to trust God in what he wants us to do. We need to listen to God to help us choose a good path to heaven.
This story tells us about how Mary accepted Jesus even when she didn’t have to, but she still did because she believed that God was by her side and will be for the whole thing. This shows me how we should be faithful and believe in God the way Mary believed.
Today we all have heard and this teaches us a lot and We will always be protected by our angels and by Jesus and it teaches us to act more like Mary.
This shows us that we need to be all or nothing, like Mary. We shouldn’t say that we believe in our faith and other times say we don’t. “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.”
This scripture is saying like Mary is happy that she is going to carry the King of all of us and she properly knew that there was going to be some hard steps because everybody is going to think she has somebody others baby and since the people might think that our King is going to wipe out all the Romans etc but she was happy to like do it for us she was happy because she has the most precious baby on earth.
What reached out to me was when it said, “Do not be afraid”. What this means to me is that we have nothing to fear with God on our side. The only thing that we have to do is to keep praying, receive the sacraments and everything will be alright.
It shows how powerful God is. Mary wasn’t sure how she was going to have a baby but she believed in God and trusted Him.
Mary said yes to the Lord, so why can’t we? If Mary can say yes to the Lord for life we can say yes to the Lord in prayer. It is hard to totally surrender ourselves to the Lord. Ask Mary to help you because Mary did One of the bravest things you can do.
This Gospel tells us that God has a plan for us. We should always trust Him because He knows what’s best for us. The Holy Spirit will fill us with grace to make the right decision.
In this piece of scripture it tells the events of Mary accepting Jesus. This eventually led to him die for us so we who didn’t and still don’t deserve can go to heaven.
Today in the reading It was about Mary and the angel Gabriel telling Mary she will bear a son. I love how like the story is down to earth/is a regular girl that just devoted her life to God every day. Which shows us that anyone can be a servant of God.
I think that Mary is a great example of doing what God asked of us. She was asked to give birth to the King of all kings. She could have been stoned to death, yet she still said yes. She knew what people would think of her and she still willingly said yes. We should say yes to God say yes to anything that he asks of us.
It takes courage to do what God wants you to do. He knows what will happen but you don’t. If you do what He has asked of you and it doesn’t go your way or you get hurt. You can’t get mad at Him. There is always good in bad.
Mary’s cross that she chose to take up is being the mother of Jesus. She loved God so much that she said yes to bringing His only Son into the world to save us all. She had no idea what she and her Son were going to go through, especially being 13-14 years old, but she loved God and trusted Him so much that she took this responsibility even though there were ups and downs.
This is one of the most glorious moments ever. This is the day Mary said one simple word. That word was “yes”. She trusted in God that the would always be with her. Even though raising the child of God may be hard, but she trusted in the ways of God. One day, I want to have that much trust in God.
This is telling us that God has a plan for all of us and we have to trust in God’s plan. Mary put all of her life in God’s hand and never thought twice about it. Why can’t we do that? We think we know everything, but God is the only person that knows everything.
I think that today’s scripture passage is trying to tell us that God can make miracles happen. It is talking about how the angels came to Mary, and told her she would have a son. Even though she didn’t think it was possible, and she was scared, she still said yes because she knew it was the right thing to do and it was important. God has a plan for us, and we need to be like Mary and accept what he has planned for us.
Mary is an amazing role model. This piece of Scripture is telling me that because of Mary’s yes, she took part in giving us the Messiah. She knew it was God’s will, so she said yes to Him. Mary knew that God’s will is the right thing to do, the right thing to set our heart on. Mary is a model for us to think about how if God wants it to be, it should be.
I think this is saying that we should be ready for God to tell us something. We might not know when it’s going to come. It might be good or it might be bad. We just have to say yes like Mary.
At first Mary was scared, didn’t know what was going on, and was curious. But she got over it and said ” Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.”
What stood out to me was when Mary said, “May it be done to me according to your word.” It stood out to me because Mary accepted giving birth to the Messiah because she is the handmade of the Lord, she was so scared but also full of joy. God gave Mary this amazing opportunity.
what scripture is telling me is that whatever type of vision that we that is from an angel, The Holy Spirit, or just any Holy presence that appears is that we should always listen to them and believe what they say.
“Be not afraid Mary.” Imagine the angel Gabriel saying your name instead of Mary’s. He is telling you to be not afraid. Do not be afraid of your sins, God still loves you. Do not be afraid of what others think, care only about what God thinks. You need to be sorry though. Don’t keep sinning because you know God will forgive you, love God enough to not sin.
The scripture is telling me that we need to accept God’s will. We need to trust that whatever happens in our life are things that God intended.
The angle came to Mary and told her that she will conceive a baby in her womb and he shall be named Jesus. Mary said how can this be when i have no relations with a man. The angel said “the holy spirit has come upon you”. If Mary wouldn’t have excepted this then everything would be different
This passage shows exactly what a Catholic life is supposed to be. Mary doesn’t know exactly what’s coming, but she knew God was always there with her. No matter what. I think that’s what the true thing we’re called to do. Be with God no matter what, and always do his Will. Isn’t that what Mary did? Yes. So we can call upon her whenever we need to. Whether that is helping us through a rough time, or us trying to get our life back on track, Mary is there for us to intercede through her.
I think this is saying God gave his only son because he loves us so much that he let his only son die for us.
Mary took up her Cross while being the Mother of Jesus. Mary also watched Jesus get whipped and spit on and suffer. WE the people need to take this more serious and take our crosses and pray more.
This Gospel tells me that we need to believe in everything that the Holy Spirit tells us. The Holy Spirit is in God so we can’t ignore it because that means that we are ignoring God.
Nothing is impossible with God. He made a virgin bear a son, a barren woman bear a son also.
God has a plan for everyone and we need to follow it like Mary. Most of us can’t see the plan that God has made for us. We can’t see the plan because we don’t try to see the plan. We need to follow Jesus so we can follow this plan because the plan will get us to Heaven.
In today’s gospel Mary says her yes to God, at some point in our life we will have to make a yes to God as well, and we have to have the courage to say yes because just like with Mary it can be scary to say yes, Mary was saying yes to being judged and shunned, and we must to.
Mary was definetely not in the easiest spot when the angel Gabriel came to her. To come to understanding with what was happening was not an easy choice. That was why it is heroic and remembered today so well. Mary’s trust in God played the example of what we all need to do every day in every one of our lives. Even if we feel like what we are doing is wrong, or not worth it, we just need to look at all the lives changed by our faith and Mary.
Sometimes we don’t understand how important Mary and Joseph were to giving birth to Jesus. And maybe we forget how our parents gave birth to us and we still give them all of our backlash. We cannot see how much they do for us, we need to learn to look from both sides of the stories and appreciate our parents a lot more, and maybe spend more time with them.
Today we are celebrating the way Mary said yes to God. After the angel Gabrielle said, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. And behold, Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren; for nothing will be impossible for God.” Mary immediately replied by saying that she would do anything God told her to. Mary is a good example to us because she said yes to God and we should too.
I think the scripture is saying that God is the best person and he has a plan for each one of us in life. God knows what is right for us and he is going to try his hardest to make us the best person we can be. God knows everything so we should always be listening for what he is trying to tell us.
“Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” This is what how we should respond to God. God will call you to. Discern you calling from God every day. You may not hear Gods voice, but when you do you should respond with prayer like Mary did. Pray that when you receive your call from God you will accept it.
I believe this scripture is saying that we need to trust in the Lord always for he knows our path. Also, He is calling us all to proclaim his news and all we have to do is listen.
In today’s Gospel, Jesus is telling me that we should always believe in Him and the Holy Spirit because we need Him and the Holy Spirit the most. As confident we may be, we are mostly going to be wrong so we should always ask God and the Holy Spirit to guide us to the right choice/answer.
Today is probably one of the most famous stories in the Bible, the Annunciation. Where the Angle Gabriel comes to a simple servant girl who was betrothed to a much older man, and tells her that she shall be the one who will birth the Christ. What thougths must have been going through her head. “I can’t birth the Christ, i’m just a simple servant.” “What will everyone think, what will Joseph think if i just got pregnant, will they believe me if I tell them the truth.” “Is this really an Angle or just a crazy man.” There must have been so many doubts floating in her head, yet she still said yes because she trusted that God had a plan, and that her world will be turned upside down
I feel like this scripture is saying that God can do anything because he created time, and everything we can thing of. The reason why I said he could do anything is because he created the saints and angels and he can make Mary have a baby with no man involved in her life. God is almighty powerful.
The annunciation. If you were Mary, would you be courageous enough to say “yes” to God? If you were Joseph would you be brave enough to still take Mary as your wife? Find the courage you have and use it to say “yes” to God. He only wants what is good and Holy for you. You may suffer, but we must take up our crosses, and you will get to eternal life. Be brave. Say “yes” to God. Take up your cross courageously and know that God is doing what is best for you.
Mary listened to God’s call, and sometimes when we hear God talking to us or when we get our call we get scared and are hesitant, Mary was too. But, in the end she listened and the rest is history so we need to follow God’s call, it will be worth it in the end.
Mary said yes to God. She accepted the will of God. We need to do the same and accept what God has in store for us. We need to say yes to God as Mary did. Mary was nervous about being the mother of Jesus, but she still said yes. We should try to do the same.
This scripture is telling me to listen. As Mary listened to Gabriel, we should listen to God or Jesus.
In this scripture an angel appeared to Mary and said that she will have a child and that He shall be named Jesus. Mary showed such trust in God by saying “yes”. She knew that the Lord had plans for her and her starting family. That she was going to be carrying the Messiah in her womb. Mary would be ready to protect Him and care for Him. We need to be like Mary and trust in God because in God there is love, trust, and patience.
Today we hear about the annunciation of the Lord, which is when Mary becomes pregnant with Jesus. The angel of the Lord comes to Mary and although she is frightened, she is very open to the Lord. We need to have the same openess that she had, and recieve Jesus, just as she did.
What I think this is saying is that Mary is the second most holy next to God. She is the most holy women and loved God her only Son.
The Annunciation shows su that God can do anything. Even though Mary had no relations with a man, she had a Son. The Son of God. God can do anything if you let Him into your life like Mary did. Accepting God can be easy but to stay with Him may be hard to do.
This scripture is talking about how any human is able to become a saint. The ones that become a saint are the ones that took the time and effort and didn’t give up because they knew that preaching the word of God was the correct way to live.
Mary accepted that she was going to be the mother of the Son of God. We need to accept God just as Mary did. We sometimes don’t accept God into our lives, but we need to let him into our hearts.
To me this means that God is telling us that whatever is said of God will become true which I believe and agree with 100 percent. Something that everyone knows about God is at the beginning of time when God was saying their shall be water or their shall be sunlight and then whatever he asked for would appear right in front of him. That is what this scripture today is telling me about.
I feel like this Gospel is saying we should listen to God and give ourselves up for him and his calling to us. Just like Mary said yes to God.
This is telling me that we need to start listening to Jesus and he will always give us the right answer.
I think that this Gospel is showing that if God has a plan for you then you should always be open to any plan He has for you. You should always embrace it and never stray away from it.
Today’s Gospel is when Mary says yes to the Angel. Mary must have been very brave in order to say yes to this daunting task. Like Mary, we should all try our best to say yes to God whenever He asks us to carry our cross, and even though it won’t be easy Jesus will be there supporting us along the way.
In this reading, Mary has her “FIAT” moment. Mary agrees to basically give up her life at this very moment. To give some context, Mary was 15 years old, which is not much older than us, imagine how hard it would be to be told that you were going to be pregnant. Mary knew that she had stayed chaste and that she wouldn’t have been pregnant without something supernatural. If you were told right now that you were going to be a mother or father, you would freak out. This is what it is like to be called to the priesthood or the religious life. Very soon we will be called to our vocation and we will need to be ready to accept the call when it comes. Mary was given a huge call and ours will not be as large or noticeable but if we pray daily, we will be able to have God reveal to us what our vocation should be.
All of us have our cross like Jesus in different ways and we have to understand that people are all struggling but we have to help others give their lives to God and let him take over so he can help us carry our cross.
This passage is a great example of listening to God’s ambitions and hopes for you. We need to not only listen but strongly consider what God has asked for you even if that thing is something you don’t want or enjoy.
Today’s Scripture passage is saying that we need to trust everything that God has taught/said to us. Mary is a good example of taking up our crosses, she was afraid but full of joy when she found out that she was having Jesus. This shows that we should take up our cross for the Lord and do as He would want us to do.
To me this Scripture is saying that I need to trust in God’s plan. I struggle a lot when it comes to trusting in God and His power. I can’t let go of control over my life. We all should try to be like Mary and say yes to whatever the Lord asks of us.
I think this Gospel is telling us to trust in God. I feel like we put some trust in God but more into our devices. I think we need to trust God that he will make everything better in the end and we need to just trust.
The Scripture is telling us to always trust in God for what He says is the truth.
It’s weird, because I’ve never heard the Annunciation as a gospel at Mass. I’ve always just read it to myself. So, I was surprised when Fr. Andrew said it today. I just found it interesting.
I think this scripture is trying to tell us that we should always obey God. If we obey God and do what he tells us to do, we will get closer to going to heaven. God gives us guidance for us to get to heaven. When we talk to him, we need to remember to listen.
I think this passage means that even though it might not seem possible, God can do anything, and we need to believe in Him. When Jesus asks us to do something, it is for the good of all, even if it might not seem like it at the time. When Jesus asks, we supply.
I think the scripture is saying to have faith in God. No matter how bad or good your life is, without God there is nothing. God can make anything impossible, possible. He shows this through both Mary and Elizabeth.
I think this scripture means that we should always trust God. we need to say yes to God
jesu is her for us wen you a going thow stuf
For Mary to say yes had to take the most dedication to God and the will to do what ever he wanted for her to do. I think that is what God wants us to do and once we learn how to do that then we could make it into Heaven. But for us that means let go of sports or video games or whatever you like to do and just go follow God.
I think the Scripture reflection was saying God had a plan for Mary. God knew that Mary was going to be the mother of Jesus. God knew that Mary was going to see her son in indescribable pain, But He also knew that Mary is the only person who could do it. God has a plan for all of us.
at first mary was confused when the angel gabriel came upon her and she did not know what was going to happen. But then he told her how she was going to be consumed with the child of God. She was still confused and said, “How can this be since i have had no relations with a man?” He explained to her and she accepted that she was going to have the child of God and that she shall name him Jesus.
Today’s scripture reflection is very meaningful and powerful. I think today’s scripture is trying to tell us that God has a plan for all of us and we have to have trust in His plan even if it is hard. Mary put all of her life in His hands and never thought about it twice. Why can we not do that? All the time we think we know everything, but God is the only person that knows every single thing.
This is how Catholics are supposed to act. We are supposed to find out what our vocation is and then find out what God wants us to do and then willingly and obediently do it.
This scripture is trying to tell us that we all have a cross including Mary she had to bear a son without having any relations with a man and back in that day if you were having a child without a husband you would be stoned.
The Gospel today talks about how Mary conseves Jesus into her womb. It talks about how she was startled by the angel. She goes on to talk about how she has no relations with a man and the angel said that the holy spirit will come down on her.
Forgiveness is the only way to show God that you’re sorry. And when you dont ask for forgiveness. Then Its hard to enter heaven. This gospel is talking about Mary talking to God and asking for forgiveness. This is a great example of how we should talk to God. It shows that when we do something bad. We have to talk to God and confess that we’re sorry for what sins we have committed.
In today’s Gospel reading An angel came down and told Mary that she was going to have a son named Jesus.
We should always trust The Lord. He knows our true calling and what is best for us. Never be afraid to answer his calling. If you do, you will be granted eternal life in Heaven.
I think that this passage is telling me to serve God and serve others. Just like Jesus served, we must also serve to grow closer to God.
God has given us gifts and we should use those gifts in a positive way. We should use our gifts to help people in need.
I think this is saying we don’t need to worry or doubt, because God will be there to guide us into what’s right for us, and what he knows will make us happy. He knows us better than we even know ourselves. He knows every action we’ve done; he knows every thought that we’ve thought. With all of this, we should learn to give everything up to him and trust him to lead us to a life of happiness and an eternal life with him afterward in Heaven.
“Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.” marry has favor with god. to have favor with god you have to be very holy. you have to strive to be a saint and the road is not easy but it is gratifying.
