Humbly submit your will to God (thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.
Brothers and sisters:
Draw your strength from the Lord and from his mighty power.
Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm
against the tactics of the Devil.
For our struggle is not with flesh and blood
but with the principalities, with the powers,
with the world rulers of this present darkness,
with the evil spirits in the heavens.
Therefore, put on the armor of God,
that you may be able to resist on the evil day
and, having done everything, to hold your ground.
So stand fast with your loins girded in truth,
clothed with righteousness as a breastplate,
and your feet shod in readiness for the Gospel of peace.
In all circumstances, hold faith as a shield,
to quench all the flaming arrows of the Evil One.
And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit,
which is the word of God.
With all prayer and supplication,
pray at every opportunity in the Spirit.
To that end, be watchful with all perseverance and supplication
for all the holy ones and also for me,
that speech may be given me to open my mouth,
to make known with boldness the mystery of the Gospel
for which I am an ambassador in chains,
so that I may have the courage to speak as I must. Eph. 6:10-20
I am convinced the Holy Spirit is seeking you out as we prepare for Confirmation. These are the verses in our Sealed on Fire book I had you read the last two days. They appear again today. The day I have you write your Scripture reflections in class. Jesus causes division, “You are either with me or against me”. One group of people, the non-believers, will say it is just a coincidence, luck, or magic. Another group will say, “I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary.” I call them Godcidences. Over the years, I have learned that these are promptings of the Holy Spirit that I just cannot deny. What is the Truth, the essence, the key? I believe, therefore I pray, and through the gifts of the Holy Spirit: knowledge, understanding, wisdom, and counsel I have come to know who God is, who I am, and what my mission and purpose are. It is difficult battle wrestling with God about every life situation. It is a difficult to go to the depths of hell and fight Satan. It is a difficult battle to let go of sin that chains us and overcome the sin we hate. It is difficult reading and reflecting for hours on Scripture and spiritual books seeking Truth and the answers to life’s toughest questions. The result, peace. Friendship with God. Perfect love that has no fear, St. John says. Put on the armor of God and fight for your souls entire future depends on it and a Father who wants nothing more than you to be safe in His arms is waiting.
Some Pharisees came to Jesus and said,
“Go away, leave this area because Herod wants to kill you.”
He replied, “Go and tell that fox,
‘Behold, I cast out demons and I perform healings today and tomorrow,
and on the third day I accomplish my purpose.
Yet I must continue on my way today, tomorrow, and the following day,
for it is impossible that a prophet should die
outside of Jerusalem.’
“Jerusalem, Jerusalem,
you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you,
how many times I yearned to gather your children together
as a hen gathers her brood under her wings,
but you were unwilling!
Behold, your house will be abandoned.
But I tell you, you will not see me until the time comes when you say,
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.” Lk 13:31-35
Jesus tells us on the third day “I accomplish my purpose”. He is frustrated because the chosen people are so ignorant of God’s love and so many prophets have been sent by God to help them. Jesus is in front of them speaking about the kingdom of God and performing miracles and they still do not believe he is God, above all, in all, and “Blessed in he who comes in the name of the Lord”. Jesus is not afraid of any human ruler. The roman rulers were called gods, lord, savior. There is only one God, Ruler, King of Kings, Lord, Savior, and Messiah, Jesus Christ and His love will never end.
Today’s challenge: Love-be obedient, sacrifice what you want for someone else, give without receiving anything in return, help someone who cannot help you back. Love never ends, requires sacrifice, and will be the biggest regret on your death bed if you do not do it enough.
Become a saint!
Christian YOLO
Neat. I can use this to help motivate me to pray more.
What I think God is trying to tell me today, through the scripture is to go to him when I need strength. Most days I find myself becoming very anxious and worried about things, but what I need to do is turn to God and ask him for the the strength I need to get through it. I should also know that God has a plan, like he does for everyone. So, I shouldn’t be worried, because everything is in God’s hands.
I can apply this to my life by asking the Holy Spirit to guide me through prayer. I can also pray to go in my faith and i can pray to God and ask for forgivness.
I can apply this to my life by not exepting saitin in my life and folowing the right way by being Catholic.
The Devil tries as hard as he can to separate us from God. The Holy Spirit protects us from demons through confirmation.
Jesus has given us all of the tools to be holy and to get to Heaven. We just have to choose to use those tools. God is trying to help us out every day, we need to learn to see those little things.
Our actions on what we do on Earth help us go to Heaven but we need help from God and Jesus to get to Heaven. The Holy Spirit guides us in the right direction to God and Jesus.
He is telling us that we should always follow him and never stop beleiving or loving him. Whenever we feel sin we should just pray and God will lead us to Heaven and make sure we are safe.
I can apply this to my life by praying to God and the Holy Spirit for this upcoming confirmation so I too can be filled with the Holy Spirit
This scripture reveals that through Jesus, we have our armor of faith. We use this armor from God to shield away from the attacks of the devil. I feel that through the Holy Spirit and Confirmation, we receive this armor to have the courage to spread God’s word and be shielded. Confirmation initiates us into the faith and so that we can be missionaries of God. We need the courage that the Apostles had from the Holy Spirit to guide us through our mission of Christ.
The Scripture tells us that we are to “Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the Devil.
against the tactics of the Devil.” I think this is telling us that we have to protect ourselves by praying. The Scripturev also says that “For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens.” I automatically think that our struggle is not with material things but with the Devil tempting us with those material things.
I think that this Gospel is a good reminder that the Holy Spirit is real. These were the same versus in our confirmation books, and now on today’s Gospel. It’s crazy how the Holy Spirit can work like that. The point this Gospel is trying to get across, is that our final battle is against satan himself. We have to prepare for this battle, because it very well could be the difference between salvation and death. Instead of swords and shields, this battle has to be fought with virtue and holiness. Instead of flaming arrows, satan is fighting with temptation. We have to be ready to stand against him, and win salvation for ourselves.
Our lives will change for the better if we are not only praying but if we are doing acts of kindness to everyone. It’s hard to always be kind to everyone but God will love us if we try. We should always pray and ask God for help in kindness.
:O
(How does dis happen?)
As people of this world, we need a leader to guide us to happiness, but we put our trust into the wrong thing. We put our trust into a human who doesn’t even know what happiness is, or how toguide us in the right way. We put our trust in polotics, and kings, and many other forms of government. Those things are just gonna fall away. We need to put God as our President, our king, and our friend too. God takes us away from sin that tries to kill our soul, but for some reason, we want to die away. We only get 80 (if God wants us to) years, but 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 etc. of death and the path God wants us to. So why do we put power in money, the most evil thing in the world, and polotics, to make things legal and illegal. God has already done that to us. He gave us the 10 commandments. These are the only “laws” we should have. We should follow them so we can get on the right path. Let’s do it NOW!!!
😀
In the first passage here it is so crazy that it was the same thing we have been reading in our books in class. I think this is the Holy Spirit at work in our lives, as we are about to recieve the graces and gifts God has for us. I think we should seek to find what causes us to sin and cut it out of our lives just like in Matthew 5:29, but not too literally of course, as we are preparing to recieve this sacrament.
What I took away from this, is that sometime people are so ignorant of God’s love which makes him frusterated and we should’t have to do that. We just need to wait because God knows when its time, maybe he will bless you with something AMAZING or maybe not, because if you get ignorant and don’t wait who knows what will happen.
The devil will tempt us everyday. But we have to use our Faith to not fall into his trap. God has given us the rosary and Scripture to defend ourselves against the devil and the dangers of the world.
Something I can take away from this is always do things without the expectation of anything in return.
God gives us gifts to be succsessful spiritually and pysically. We need to recognise those gifts and share them. Then we will be truely happy, by sharing our gifts we feel fuller and more in love with Christ.
One thing that I can take away from this scripture reflection is to remember not to mindlessly pray. Almost every time I say a prayer I am just reciting words and my mind is somewhere else. But how am I supposed to hear what God and the Holy Spirit are trying to tell me if I don’t really open my heart to God when I pray. I really like the example of putting on armor in this gospel because it kind of helps you visualizr what God is doing for you at confirmation.
In the scripture today we are told to “put on the armor of God, so that we are able to stand firm against the tactics of the Devil.” This is followed up by saying, “So stand fast with your loins girded in truth, clothed with righteousness as a breastplate, and your feet shod in readiness for the Gospel of peace.” The armor of God refers not to a physical armor, but a spiritual one that protects us from the Devil. He tells us to stand fast in truth, with righteousness, and readiness. Continiuning, it says, “In all circumstances, hold faith as a shield, to quench all the flaming arrows of the Evil One. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” He tells us to hold faith as a shield against the devil, and the helmet of salvation with the Holy Spirit. Jesus gives us all of these things to protect us from sin. We should be able to use these things to learn whether or not we are doing well spirtiually, or whether we need to work on them.
“Put on the armor of God,” it says. “so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the Devil.” We can see it plain and straight. The devil is trying to bring us down with him, and there isn’t a question about it. But the issue with the men and women of today, is that they can’t seem to have a clear solution in their head. What do I believe? they ask themselves, but they tend to glance over it, and they’re left to sit in indecision. The man that says he doesn’t know is a remarkably high bird. I can garuntee it. They’re souls meandering a maze of dips and drops, and the men and women that step out of it, aren’t always the ones that are the cleversest. They are the ones with faith and hope. The scripture I see on the screen mentions to stand with God and to be firm. Have faith, and precede.
God is asking us to becom his wariors of truth and life.
God is asking us to becom his wariors of truth and life so we can be with him eternaly
We need the Holy Spirit to guide us in the correct way to get to Jesus. He wants us to be with Him in heaven and will even give up His life for us even when we can’t give everything to He still loves us.
I think we should always return kindness. Love is a powerful thing, so if we be kind to one person there is a chance they’re gonna feel compelled to return that kindness to another person. Kindess spreads, so we can put on our armor, fight the devil, and show kindness to everyone around us.
God is telling us to open his hearts to us because if we do then our life will be the most loving understanding in the world because we are on fire with the Holy Spirit. Also God is telling me to open my heart to other’s who are lower then me because even if you give up a water bottle for them that could change there life and they could do a good thing in return for something and then all of a sudden you have a lot of people doing amzing things because they say others doing it and they wanted to pay it forward.
I can apply this to my life by using it to help me prepare for confirmation, I can pray my rosary and read my bible and put on the armour of God.
This Gospel I think tells us how we need to stand up and be strong for our faith. We need to fight to keep the faith alive in the world. What I can take away from this gospel is being strong and not caring about what other people say about the Catholic faith. I will use this in my daly life by praying for God to give me the streangth and courage to help me fight for the faith.
This scripture it is telling me that, we will have the armor of God ones we get confermed. That means that we will always be protected by God. That really motavates me to get confirmed more than i already wanted to. To know that you have the armor of God i don’t know it just makes me feel protected. But also while we have the armor on means we have to fight to. You will have to fight the devel every minute but you will always have God to fall back on.
Well in todays scripture it is staying that we need to get our hearts and souls ready for the Lord and protect it from the evil spirits.
I can apply this to my life by remembering that God is with me at all times. The devil will constantly try to get me to go against God but with God by my side I have nothing to fear but the decisions I make. I will always have God to look for in times where I’m in need of him. I will grow closer to God by praying and talking to him more often and recieving him through my own will, not just going to mass on Sundays.
“Our struggles are not of flesh and blood.” We get cought in the worldly things that we forget what should be our goal. We must focus on God.
I can reflect on this because it tells me that you can’t do everything alone. There are going to be times when you fall and think now else cares and that your the only person there to push yourself up. but this scripture tells me that God is always there for you, in the times when no one else is. He will be there when you most need it and strengthen you when you dont think anyone is there. But God is always there and will always be there whenever no one else is.
Every moring we wake up with the tempation of evil. But we have Jesus, the armor of God. To protect us against all things evil. To protect us against the wickedness and snares of the devil. He’s here to save us. But God is great he gave us free will, a choice. Your either with him, or against him. Hes here for us, but we have to be there for him.
The Holy Spirit is trying to connect with us, we have to let it in. If we allow the Holy Spirit in, we will find our vocation and be able to know what God wants for us. If we don’t, we will spend our lives searching for something to fufill us, but we will never find it. The Holy Spirit is necessary for us to live out lives to thir full potential.
this scripture tells me that i should pray every day and speech will be given to you and will open your mouth.
This scripture is really a wake up call to me. It shows me that I need to be trusting in my faith as a shield from the devil, yet the devil still works his way into my life in things that take my attention away from God. This is a real struggle in the daily life of many teens, including myself. This piece of scripture says that we need to put on the armor of God and use faith as a shield, but I am consistently turning away from that due to all of the temptations of life. This shows me that I need to hold myself accountable for praying more, and not just mindlesly saying the words to memorized prayers and not putting any meaning behind them. I need to put real meaning behind every word I pray.
We need to put on “armor” so we can be protected from the devil. The “armor” represented the Holy Spirit and how it saves us. Jesus said to pray at every opportunity we get for the Holy Spirit.
I can apply this scripture to my life by praying for guidance during our confirmation and knowing that God will be present with all of us. We are taking a big step in life and becoming more like Christ. We need to know that Jesus has been leading us to this moment.
Today’s Gospel is telling us that we need to put God in the center of our lives. We need to put the armour on like he says the armour that shows God no one can but us down we are here forever and no one can tell me that I should not be catholic anymore this is what God wants. He once us to go out in this world in spread our faith. He loves us so much that we need to love him so much back and talk to him daily.
The Lord is telling us in the gospel to “put on the armor of God”. This isn’t physical armor that you slip on like clothes, this is spiritual armor for your soul. The Lord wants us to wear our faith proudly but to also use it as a shield. Things can go wrong or a different way then you expected it to, but as long as you adjust and wear your “armor” you will be okay and the Lord will protect you and keep you with Him forever.
What i got from todays scripture is that Jesus is always willing to help and protect you from sin and evil, but that will not happen unless you prepare yourself tro overcome sin and all evil
I can apply this to my life by simply believing in God. Just asking Him to be my friend and to help me in my times of need can create a stronger bond with Him. I need to be ready for the day when I will be attacked with the words “Your god is not real”. I need to confront them with my beliefs and sacrafice myself for God. This coming Confirmaiton is transforming me to be a better person. To actually READ the Bible and to meditate with prayer. Fully understanding Christ’s Word can help me build a greater relationship with those around me. I need to be willing to accept the Holy Spirit in me during Confirmation. The Holy Spirit is guiding me to make better decisions and live a better life with the people I love. The question is, am I going to let the Holy Spirit guide me to God or am I going to go to idolize the materialistic things in the world?
By putting on the armor of God we are telling ourselves that we are willing to defend our faith. We must recognize that we may be scrutinized for out faith. We have to know that we will defend our faith.
We need to put on “armor” so we can be protected from the devil. The “armor” represented the Holy Spirit and how it saves us. Jesus said to pray at every opportunity we get for the Holy Spirit. We should pray everyday and thank the Holy Spirit for everything it does for us. Our Guardian Angel is very helpful too.
In today’s scripture Jesus is telling us that there is going to be people trying to discurage the faith. But we need to over come them and spread Jesus’ teachings.
What I took away from this is that God wants us to stand for believing and to not deny that he is truly God.
I should do things without expecting money or a thank you.
Praying is the same as putting on the armor of God. Praying puts a protective sheild around yors soul and your consceince, simultaniously streaching your heart to recive the grece of God.
what this scripture is telling me is trust in God and fight the battle between you and the devil. And just always remember that GOD HAS ALREADY WON! HE IS GOD! HE WINS!! Not the devil, you can just rub it in the devils face that God has already one that you aren’t scared of him.
I can apply this to my life by knowing God is with me. He will always be with me even of I sin. He will always love me. Another thing I can apply to my life is following the Holy Spirit. If i pray everyday the Holy Spirit will guide me on my journey to get to Heaven.
i can reflect on this scripture by looking around at things in my everyday life and trying to find God in my life and how he affects my life.
Jesus tells us that with the Holy Spirit we can fight against the devil and all of his lies that he puts at us. with confirmation we are given the strenth we need to fight the devil and demons.
What I took away from this Scripture is that I need to draw my strength from the Holy Spirit and ask for his guidance so that I can steer away from the devil. In doing so I’ll be closer to God then I ever was.
In this Gospel God is our armor. The devil makes us go against him and we shouldn’t. I can imply this to my life is by praying. God is always with us and we need to be there for him.
This scripture passage tells us to put on the armor of God. We can do this by being strong and dedicated to our faith. When need to put Jesus first in our lives and we wil be stenghthened through the Holy Spirit. I can apply this to my life by truly choosing Christ over the physical world and by shareing His message to others.
I can apply this to my daily life by being more spiritual and helpful with whatever I do no matter what it is.I have to stay faithful to God even though it may seem that he isn’t he is and he will never stop having faith in us so we have to start having faith in him.
As we ready for battle against the wickedness of the devil, we are adorned by the armor of Confirmation directly from the Holy Spirit. With this gift we will be spiritually protected from all evil that opposes us, then we strike with our broadsword, prayer. Without prayer, we would never get close to God at all, and that is why it is the perfect weapon against the literal demons and out mental demons.
What I can take away from the scripture today in to have meaning in my prayer and not just being like parrot, repating the same words over and over. But have a purpose in prayer and truley talk to God, and tell him about life and what I am praying for. It says our struggle are not of flesh and blood. I believe this means that there is something greater than just the materalistic things here on earth. We need to accept this and live by it.
When it says, “put on the armor of God, that you may be able to resist on the evil day.” It is saying that we have to trust in God when we are tempted by Satan to do things that we know are wrong. We need to be able to resist on the evil day of temptation and make sure that we are putting are full trust in God.
i can reflect on this scripture by looking around at things in my everyday life and trying to find God in my life and how he affects my life.
Jesus tells us that with the Holy Spirit we can fight against the devil and all of his lies that he puts at us. with confirmation we are given the strenth we need to fight the devil and demons.
Every single day we wake up with temptation to sin. When we wake up God is calling us to be good christians and go to heaven so we need to listen to him and help others.,
Jesus is telling us we need to stop ignoring Him and God. We ignore the God all the time. A lot of the time the only reason we pray to him is because we want something from him. Or we are required to. Not because we want to. We need to stop ignoring the Holy Spirit as well. We also need to put our hearts into our prayer, because i know that 90% of the time when i pray i am just reciting words. I’m eager to be done praying. It’s something that we all do sometimes and we all need to stop ignoring the Holy Spirit, and start putting our hearts into our prayer.
In today’s scripture, I noticed something. Our challenge in this world is to follow God and to push away satin. Not to look cool, or follow all the trend but to fight sin and strive for God’s presence. That is what we want to do to make it to eternal life.
What i took from this scripture is that the devil is trying to temp us everyday, and we need to block him out with God. We need to use God as our sheild to protect us from the devil. I can apply this to my life by always trying to do the right thing and while im praying, to try and focus.
In this pasage today God is telling us to draw our streangth from the lord and his almigtiy power and he tells us to pick up that armour of shield and protect yourself from thee tacticas of the devil. I feel as though some days we dont realise that not evry one in this world is going to like us and the people that dont like us have the dedvil in them and thoughs are his tactics to try and atack us some days but you know what God gives us that shield and we protect ourselves so when we are being attacked by the devil he is always there to hand us that shield and sword.
In today’s Scripture God is telling us that the armour of God is the Rosary and prayer, we need to do them everyday.
God is calling us to confirmation. We cannot deny it, all Jesus wants is to have a closer relation ship with you and for you to spread the faith to others. And the way he wants us to do that is in our actions, in our thoughts, and in our faith. When we recieve confrimation we are slowly carved, like the way the grand canyion was formed, slowly. When we recieve Confrimation we will be formed by the Holy Spirit and we will form ourselves through our actions. We will form better and faster with the help of God’s grace that he will give through confrimation. And all we need to do in accept his gift of grace and continue to help others and spread the faith.
today’s scripture is telling us that we need to understand the values if the holly spirit. In our confirmation we are letting the holy spirit to take over us come. We get amazing gifts. we need to learn how to use them and take time to understand and identify them.
Today’s scripture is telling us to put on the armor of God.Jesus said,“Put on the armor of God, so that we are able to stand firm against the tactics of the Devil.” He is telling us that the devil is always going to try to tempts us with bad desions, and will try to get us to deny the faith. But, God is always with us, and with him by our side, we have nothing to fear. So, we have to put on our armor of God and stand fast and grow in the faith. I can do this be praying the rosary, going to mass more, reading the Bible, and reject the devil by picking the good decisions over the bad.
I think that this scripture is trying to strengthen the thought of telling us that we should not be scared because the Holy Spirit is always present whether it be in the form of a dove or in the form of kind words.
We put on the armour to protect us from satan.
We wear the armour of God for the devil to not tempt us into sin. We should all be thankful to God for letting us have this gift from Him to prevent us from going to Hell.
Jesus is letting us know that he is always protecting us from the devil. He is saying that the Holy Spirit is with us at all times too.
What I think God is trying to say is never be afraid from the devil you defeat him with the power of the Holy Spirit
This scripture is telling me to not be tricked by the devil. He is trying to keep me apart from God.
The scripture today is telling us to trust in the Holy Spirit and put full faith in the Holy Spirit because it will guide us to Heaven and to “put on the armour of God” (the armour that protects us from the devil). The Holy Spirirt will protect us from the Devil and guide us to Heaven if we truly believe in him and pray everyday.
The Holy spirit prtects us form temptation and from demons through the sacrament confirmation
What I can learn is that I think we take Gods lover for granted and we push him to the side and we shouldnt need to do that. I think we just need to take time and listen to what he has for us.
I can use this in my life. I can use this in my life because I should trust in God that He will protect me from Satan. I can also use this I should push Satan away as much as I can. I should also pray more so God can help me push Stan away.
I think this means the armor of God is conformation and the Rosary. We have to pray and recieve conformation to stand up to the devil and not let him takeover our life. If we do not pray and do not have conformation we have less defense against the devil. Sin is so powerful that we can’t take it on alone we need God and prayer, God doesn’t need our prayer.
In the present day, kids and teenagers like us, are blinded by electronics and social media, even when God is right in front of us, waving his hand and calling us towards Him. But instead, we grow farther and farther away from God. Just because the people around you do it, it doesn’t mean you have to. We need to learn to put all of our trust in God and to not be blinded by the devil.
This scripture is telling us to “put on the armor of God”. And what i get from that is that we should pray and talk to God more to build a relationship with him so that when the devil tries to temp us we will have grown enough to where we can resist the devils temptations instead of giving into him for our earthly pleasures. And also we should put on the armor of God because we never know when the end times will come for all we know he could come back tomorrow and if we are not trying to grow a relationship with him or pray more or read the Bible more then you will be denied the entrance to heaven God will say go away for i do not know you.
We should follow the Golden Rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” If you give up part of your spiritual self to someone else, and they don’t do anything for you, just keep a smile on your face. “Don’t worry, be happy” -Bobby McFerrin
The Speed limit is 60 smiles per hour!
I feel like today’s scripture is telling us that we are in a war with the devil and God is fighting with us. God has given us armor to use in this war and he wants us to use it.
Today, I think that the scripture is trying to tell me to put my trust in Christ and He will be our armor, our shield. He will protect us from the attacks and the wickedness of the devil. I think that when we get confirmed, we can receive Him in the Holy Spirit. We will get the protection from God to fight off the devil, and the courage to go out and spread the Good News.
Today I will try to give my free time to do chores in the house.
I think that we can apply this to our everyday lives by listening to the Holy Spirit. I’m sure that these things happen more often but we often just don’t notice them because we just don’t pay attention to detail. If you can find all of these things then you can hear all of the things that the Holy Spirit tells us. Then we can learn all about God.
I think the scripture today is telling us to trust in God and belive in Him. Some days I rely on other things to make me happy, but all I need is God only. The devil tries to put something in front of our eyes to make us think it will make us happy. I can apply this to my life by reflecting on things that i’ve done, so my goal can be heaven.
This reading today, of all days, is trying to tell us. Not only is this a Godcidence in what Mr. Goertz said, but it’s also one to me personally. This morning my dad told me, “We just need to love more.” The Holy Spirit touched me through my teacher, as He reminded me that the answer is love, always love. St. Therese of Lisieux wrote in her journal, “Story of a Soul”, this: “I feel in me the vocation of the Priest. I have the vocation of the Apostle. Martyrdom was the dream of my youth and this dream has grown with me. Considering the mystical body of the Church, I desired to see myself in them all. Charity gave me the key to my vocation. I understood that the Church had a Heart and that this Heart was burning with love. I understood that Love comprised all vocations, that Love was everything, that it embraced all times and places…in a word, that it was eternal! Then in the excess of my delirious joy, I cried out: O Jesus, my Love…my vocation, at last I have found it…My vocation is Love!” The Spirit gives us the gift of understanding and wisdom; of knowledge and council; Of fear of the Lord, piety and fortitude. We just need to accept them, admit that we need His help; surrender to His will.
I can apply this scripture in my life by trusting in God more and when the devil is trying to tempt me to pray to God more so I can put on the armor of God.
i think that this is telling us to trust in the Holy Spirit. Trust in him and he will give you the armor of God to fight all our battle in life small or large. We need to take our time and get to know the Lord not just trust in him but believe that he will help you. If we do not fully submit to God we will not here his voice unless you truly think he is with you.
I think that the scripture is saying that if you beileve in God, and if you really beileve, then you will be able to put on his armor and begin to fight the temptations of the devil.
I took something away from it’s that I need to listen to God’s word more often. If I were to do this my spiritual life would be more fulfilled.
In today’s Gospel God is telling us that we will never be alone. The devil will keep constantly telling me to do stuff God doesn’t want me to do. I should never be afraid of the devil because I believe that I always will have God on my side to guide me in all the things I do.
God’s law is the only one we follow. It is right and just, it is not unfair. He will come again, and show us our true place, our true life, and our true self. We must let him do His works in us.
what I think that the scripture is saying is that if you pray and beleive in God you will be protected from eveil and harm. I could use this in my life by parying more and going to mass and learning more about God.
I think in today’s reading it speaks that we need to stay strong and not follow the devil, but follow God and be willing to Fight agaisnt the snares of the devil and temptation.
I can ask the Holy spirit to guide me through prayer. I can also start praying more.
Todays scripture is about defeating the devil and his tactics so we won’t get distracted
What the scripture is telling me today is that I need to trust in God, and know that he has a plan for me and for everyone else. He will always be there for me and I can always go to him for anything that I need.
I think this means that the Holy Spirit can guide me through life. We need to pray more and build our relationship with Christ, so we can learn to grow.
It Is telling us that we need to put our faith into something we don’t know fully. that is what trust is. He is telling us that we need to trust him to protect us or else he won’t protect us. we need to sacrifice our limited years as a human and sacrifice these years for eternal happiness with God
I think it is teeling us to stand strong against the devil. It might be hard but with God’s grace and etermination we can overcome it. We can depend on God because he is the most important in our lives. God will protect us.
Turn to God when you need strength. We should never dought God even when we feel he left us in the dark. If God wasn’t thinking of us we wouldn’t exist. His love for us us so great. “Hold faith as a sheild” The more we pray the more God will reveal to us. We will become strong in virtue and the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit.
I think this scripture is trying to tell me to take the power of God and reject sin. Put on the armor of God. It is also saying God will be there. he will help you even after you make it to heaven. He will do this because he loves you.
This Gospel is telling me to, “Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm
against the tactics of the Devil.” and I think that means to just trust God and to never think that God doesn’t
know what He’s doing, because He actually knows exactly what He wants from you, when it happens, and if you say yes or no to His plan for you. You have to put all of your faith in Him, so that when that time comes, you will be prepared to say, “yes.” Because like I said, God knows exactly what He’s doing and exactly what he wants from you, so be prepared for it, because it’s going to be amazing!!
When I hear the word Confirmation, this is one of the first things that come to my mind, The Armor of God. We are putting on the armor of God for protection against evil. We want to ward off all evil so that we can protect ourselves, and most importantly, others. We are standing strong, hand in hand, shielding the ones we love. We pray to God to rest inside of us, the Holy Spirit. That we may use love instead of hate to heal the world. By doing so, we draw strength from the Lord our God and the armor of God, to protect us all.
This scripture was a reminder to me. It was a reminder to me because I need to remember not to things that I am not suppose to do. I say this because the armor of God protects of from the things that we do over and over again. I need to think that I have the armor of God on so them before I do those things that I do over and over again I need to put the armor of God on. Also whenever I say my prayers I need to think about the words that I say instead of just thinking about it beings prayers that I learned in kindergarten. I need to think about the words and just go over them every single day. I need to read the prayers and look over every word and see what they mean. Whenever I brush my teeth before I go to school and before I go to sleep and think about the words fully instead of just saying it and being like whatever I know this prayer and I will just say. I need to do this because if I don’t then I am pleasing the devil instead of God since the devil likes it when we do this. So I need to start thinking abou the words of what I am praying and I was I will get closer to God and farther away from the devil. I can get closer to God by doing this everyday and every day I will get closer to God.

This reminds me of the story of Adam and Eve with Adam being the Holy Spirit and Eve being us and Satan starts to tempt us but Adam tries to defend us
This scripture is telling me that I need to do things to protect my soul like praying the rosary and reading the scripture. I need to start caring about my soul more.
The scriture today is telling me to stand up for myself when it comes to battleing the devil. He has no control over me or anyone else in the world. We are big enought to fight him off we just need the bravary to do good and stay with Jesus.
I feel like God is telling me in this gospel that I will never be alone. He will always be with me to protect me from the devil. But I have to trust in Him and let Him guide me. And it will be hard to trust in something we don’t even fully understand yet but we just have to have faith and believe He is truly present.
This scripture is telling me to basically put on armour aagainst the devil so you dont fall into sin and god will help you and guide your to heaven and not hell.
The devil tries to separate us from God. If I read scripture and pray every day it will be easier to resist his temptations.
God is telling me today that i should stay strong and never give up on myself when you see somone that is down on themselves you shoud help them out just by going and talking to them or even just praying for them. This is also telling me that i can go out and teach people more about God.
What this scripture is telling me is that God is good.We need him no matter how much we tell ourselves we don’t.He is the center of our lives and we need to spread the word and teach others who may not know who he truly is.He is our savior. The devil is always tempting us to do bad things or make bad decisions but we have to refuse to listen to him and continue to follow God’s path and reject sin.
This is telling me that we have to put on the armor of God so that Satan can be prevented by our shield because Gods shield is saving us from Satan. If we have His armor, we are safe.
This scripture is telling me to use the Gifts is the Holy Spirit as an armor against the evils of the world. It is a spiritual armor that can be hard to maintain, as we are flawed, but we must learn to keep our armor for the Lord up.
I think this is saying that we all fight the devil every day the devil is trying to get us to make bad thoughts and actions but we fight back and some time we fall but we really always go back to god we are soldiers of god fighting against the devil and we need to make good actions we want to get closer to God every chance we get God is the one that wants us to be with him We are all fighting against the devil and we are trying to spread the word of jesus
I like this passage because it is describing gifts God gives us in everyday life to fight against the devil. And he gives us these tools but he also says “sted fast” and “pray often”. this is him teaching us to use these tools like learning how to use your sword and shield in battle he is teaching us how to use our faith in the battle of good and evil.
Today when I read the scripture, when He said “Put on your armore of God” He is telling us to put our faith in Him and let Him protect us against the “flaming arrows of the Evil One.” He wants our trust, our faith, and to let us put ourselfs in Gods presence. We need his armore, just as we need water. If we don’t trust or have faith in Jesus, then what will prtect us from the devil. The devil wants us to say no to God. He wants us to reject Jesus. We can say no the the devil and accept Jesus and his armore over us. All you have to do is put your faith in Him and give yourself up to God.
In todays reading I think it is telling us that we should not put so much faith into matirial items. That is how the devil is going to trick us. Like so many other people in the this world, we are caugth up in all the news and phicical objects. Todays reading is telling us that we need to stand up to those things and out our faith in God
God is saying that faith and a relationship with Him are the best things we have so we must fight for it. The devil is always trying to trick us and give up on faith but if we do we can’t get to Heaven. Why wouldn’t you fight for eternal happiness and to never become sad, upset, or angry again?
This means that God wants you to put on a sheild and protect yourself from the devil. Now I don’t think he really means a real life sheild but I think he means to put things a shelid like the Holy Bible and The Rosary. For exsample on my sheild I would put The Bible, The Rosary, someone being confirmed and a Cross. That is what my sheild would have
is saying that tjis is importanat to not lie and not let the devil pull you toward him and saying that u can defet the devil by trusting the holy soirit and by doing the right things
The devil can sneak up on you when you aren’t strong, and when you feel sad. It knows when to try to make you give in on sinning, because you are weak. It makes you want to do the things you shouldn’t be doing when it knows you can’t defend yourslelf. This is why we need God always. God defends us when we can’t. Whenever we are sad and we pray, God puts His armour over us and protects us from the devil’s smart ways of trying to get us to sin.
What I think this scripture passage is telling me is that We need God’s grace to save us from the devils’ temptations, how we recieve Gods Grace is through Sacrements and Prayer, this is another Example of how we need God’s love but he doesn’t need ours. We need his Grace to help us cover the seams and cracks of our aurmor like said in the Scripture today, “Put on the aurmor of God so that you will be able to stand firm against the tactics of the devil”.
God is saying today that we need to be more open and pray to keep the devil a way.
I can put this in my daily life is to choice the right way and not go where the devil is trying to say. I should only listen to what God wants me to do.
