Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary
The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ,
the son of David, the son of Abraham.
Abraham became the father of Isaac,
Isaac the father of Jacob,
Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers.
Judah became the father of Perez and Zerah,
whose mother was Tamar.
Perez became the father of Hezron,
Hezron the father of Ram,
Ram the father of Amminadab.
Amminadab became the father of Nahshon,
Nahshon the father of Salmon,
Salmon the father of Boaz,
whose mother was Rahab.
Boaz became the father of Obed,
whose mother was Ruth.
Obed became the father of Jesse,
Jesse the father of David the king.
David became the father of Solomon,
whose mother had been the wife of Uriah.
Solomon became the father of Rehoboam,
Rehoboam the father of Abijah,
Abijah the father of Asaph.
Asaph became the father of Jehoshaphat,
Jehoshaphat the father of Joram,
Joram the father of Uzziah.
Uzziah became the father of Jotham,
Jotham the father of Ahaz,
Ahaz the father of Hezekiah.
Hezekiah became the father of Manasseh,
Manasseh the father of Amos,
Amos the father of Josiah.
Josiah became the father of Jechoniah and his brothers
at the time of the Babylonian exile.
After the Babylonian exile,
Jechoniah became the father of Shealtiel,
Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel,
Zerubbabel the father of Abiud.
Abiud became the father of Eliakim,
Eliakim the father of Azor,
Azor the father of Zadok.
Zadok became the father of Achim,
Achim the father of Eliud,
Eliud the father of Eleazar.
Eleazar became the father of Matthan,
Matthan the father of Jacob,
Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary.
Of her was born Jesus who is called the Christ.
Thus the total number of generations
from Abraham to David
is fourteen generations;
from David to the Babylonian exile, fourteen generations;
from the Babylonian exile to the Christ,
fourteen generations. MT 1:1-17
At first glance, we see a bunch of names that are hard to pronounce. We have heard this Gospel many times, it opens the New Testament and has almost all Old Testament names. Those names are people that had stories just like all of us do. The interesting thing is Abraham was the father of faith. Mary and Joseph received very special graces from God, Mary immaculately conceived. The more interesting thing is that families are not perfect. In the genealogy of Jesus there are some black sheep as well. Bishop Barron says, “Let me highlight just two figures from Jesus’ family. First, Ruth, who was not an Israelite but rather a Moabite, a foreigner. Some of you reading this feel like outsiders, not part of the “in” crowd, looked at askance by others. Well, the Messiah came forth from Ruth the foreigner and was pleased to be her relative. Then there is Rahab, a prostitute living and working in Jericho. Are there people reading these words who feel like Rahab? Who think that their whole lives have been sunk in sin? Well, the Messiah came forth from Rahab the prostitute, and he was pleased to be her relative.“
God created us for relationships, to be part of family. No family is perfect and it takes a lifetime to learn from our mistakes we make in our families. I tend to hurt the ones closest to me. The Devil wants to destroy families and in some places I see where he is being successful in today’s culture. Today, look deep inside of yourself and find that brokenness that you are hiding. Jesus wants to uproot it but first we must face it. Then, look for ways we can improve as mother, father, husband, wife, son or daughter. Who do we need to forgive? Do we need to forgive ourselves, are we carrying great burdens? Jesus’s family carried them too. It was a mixed bag, much like our family and how we came to be. Take comfort, God doesn’t want us to come to him perfect, but broken, so His life, His grace can do the work He wants to do in us, make us holy which makes us happy.
Today’s challenge: Accept those who are not perfect in your family and have made some bad decisions.
Be a servant, become a saint! #Christian YOLO
We are all family in God’s eyes. He made us so we are all family because He is our Father. Even though we aren’t perfect, we should try our best and try to stay away from Satan so we can go to heaven. Also, hey! I hope you have an amazing day!
Hello! I hope you have a great day, too! Thanks for the reflection!
what I have taken from this scripture is that we need to uproot our burdens to help ourselves and our familys.
Have a great day! I hope all is going well!
In this gospel, it tells us about the genealogy of Jesus. This tells me that family is important. Without our ancestors, we wouldn’t be here today. Jesus’s genealogy tells us that Jesus was really man because he has a family. Jesus is also God.
That you are not alone and Jesus is helping us what he can do and even if you are having a bad day Jesus and God is with as and even when he sacfis him self for us.
I think this is telling us that we need to forgive everybody because if we don’t we will just hold grudges for the rest of our lives and that is no way to live with just grudges. But if you forgive you will be way more happy that you were when you had the grudges. And I think that we should give people second chances and try to make friends with every one.
In Scripture, It list Jesus’s ancestors. I think it is important to remember where we came from. We should respect our parents, grandparents, and the elders. We should also remember that God the Father is also our father. He loves us and will love us no matter what.
In today’s reading it teaches us that we are made to be apart of a family and that our actions affect generations to come. Such as if we let the Catholic church die in our time our children wont be able to be rightfully welcome in to heaven or God would be forgotten because of us. That is why going to mass on Sunday can be so important because we have to keep on gaining more followers of Christ instead of losing them.
What really reached out to me was when it said, “Joseph, the husband of Mary. Of her was born Jesus who is called the Christ.”. What this means to me is that we can’t overlook Mary. Through Mary many miracles have happened and we shouldn’t forget to send her a couple of prayers every now and then. Without Mary we wouldn’t have Jesus and without Jesus who knows how different the world could’ve been.
This passage has many meanings and take-a-ways. One main message I took from this is that we are not perfect. We will never be perfect. We are honestly set up for failure in life. At some point we are going to hurt someone with words or maybe even actions. Sometimes people will hurt us as well but we have to forgive. We have to forgive not only because Jesus forgives us all the time when we hurt him but also because we have to release not everyone is perfect. Just like when we sin against Jesus he forgives us so let us too forgive one another as Jesus would.
As Catholics, we are encouraged to love our family no matter what. This can be a challenge for many. Sometimes, our family members don’t do very good things. We must remember that not everyone is perfect, everyone makes mistakes and has flaws. We must learn to forgive and move on, even when it’s hard. In the end, you’ll be happy that you did.
In today’s gospel it shows the ansesters of Joeseph. This spoke to me i the sense that we should respect our elders. We should be glad there there because soon they won’t be there any more.
Our family is the people who will be with us for our entire life. Some members may have flaws but we must accept them as they accept us. The reason why God put us together in a family is because we can help one another. We have a family because you can’t only have friends because even their love for you has an extent. Families will grow with one another and care for you for our entire life. We must be grateful for our family. Not everyone has one. Even if some people have flaws, you are there to help them through it, as they helped you.
This scripture passage is trying to tell us that we have families from generations. It makes us who we are as a person to love God and to follow his ways just as we did the same thing as our ancestors.
Fourteen generations. Fourteen generations of families down and down from Abraham, to the mother of Jesus, Mary. Throughout all those fourteen generations, there were families so that there were children whom had children themselves, and each family isn’t perfect, they have things that they may keep locked inside, which then bubbles up and eventually, you might start to hurt those around you. Jesus wants us to stop keeping those things locked away, but first we must face it ourselves. We must learn from the mistakes we made and try to improve ourselves as what we are inside a family.
In today’s gospel, God gives us proof that Jesus is the Messiah. The total number of generations
from Abraham to David is fourteen generations, from David to the Babylonian exile, fourteen generations, so it would make sense that from the Babylonian exile to the Christ, it would be fourteen generations.
I think Jesus is telling us that we need to respect our elders, and that we need to do more for people in our lives.
The genealogy of the Lord is very important because it shows that God had a plan for each and every one of them, just like he does for each of us. We are each important and loved in God’s eyes, even though we are not perfect. He will always forgive and love us.
I think this Gospel is something we hear year after year. But really it is more than that. I feel like people who are not Catholic just think the faith is maybe just about Moses and then the Disciples and Mary Joseph and Jesus. This Gospel just proves that all wrong there is 14 generations of important people in our faith and I think God is saying there is always more to learn about our faith.
It shows how big of a family we truly are from generation to generation. The more of us the more we should love God but some people dont understand he died for us because he loves us that much. So thats why we should all follow God to be in paradise the one true goal that we should accomplish thats why we were born.
The geneology of the lord is important because it just proves that God had us planned in his own imagine before the universe itsself
God created us for a family. God chalenges me and all human beings to love each other and to love one another. what i learned from this is that God has shared with us his love so we should share our love with one another.
“God does not want us to come to him prefect but broken, so His life, so his Grace can do the work we wants to do in us, and to make us holy which makes us happy.”
I think that it’s insane that all these people are so significant. I might be wrong about this but I think it sounds like they’re all in a family tree. Now I could be wrong, but if I’m not that makes it even crazier to think that all these holy, awesome, and amazing people were related!
To me this means that we love our family no matter how many mistakes they’ve made. God also shows us to love and respect our elders that are older and wiser than us.
In this gospel He says that relationships are for family. No matter how bad or how good we treat this family, family is family. No matter how far you get separated or hate each other you will always come back to love each other in some type of way. I think that family is important and we should know who come before us and plan who comes after us.
It teaches us that we are part of a family and through Mary many miracles have happened and we should say a prayer for her once in a while. Without Mary we wouldn’t have Jesus and without Jesus who knows how the world would be.
I think it is interesting how all of Abraham’s decedents all lead down to Jesus. I recognized several of the names and they made me think of the tree of Jesse
I think this means that we don’t have to be perfect, and our families don’t have to be perfect. In all those generations, nobody was perfect (Except for Jesus & Mary) They all had sinned, and they all made mistakes, some were bigger and some were smaller sins. Nobody is perfect.
none of us come from a perfect family tree, but what is important is that we embrace the good and do away from the evil so one day we can reunite ourselves with God.
Jesus’s family wasn’t perfect. I always thought that Joseph was also perfect like oh, he’s Jesus’s dad so he must be perfect. But he messed up too. So it’s saying that nobodys perfect (except God and Mary) but that doesn’t mean that you can’t be like them.
The Lord wants us to respect other like our elders, family, friends, and everyone around us. But we are not perfect for we just need to respect others.
This scripture is amazing!i’m sure a lot of people would want to hear this. 🙂
When a family member has done a lot of sins and has hurt you in some way you just want to get mad,You think that if you argue with them you can make them realize that they have hurt you and that what they did was wrong,But is that the way to handle that? No.
They are still your family and like you they make mistakes.Like in Jesus’s family there were some people that made big mistakes,
so be like Jesus and remember that they are still your family so you should not leave them behind, respect them and care for them, not start a fight.
In this scripture the biggest thing that stoock out to me was that “At first glance, we see a bunch of names that are hard to pronounce.” But then as you read a couple sentences down it says “The more interesting thing is that families are not perfect.” Why do people have to think that to fit in you have to be perfect. We have to be reminded sometimes that nobody is perfect. If you really think about it nothing is perfect except for God, Mary, and Jesus. We have to be reminded that you don’t have to be perfect to fit in because nobody is perfect. To fit in you can just be you and if people don’t except you then you dont really want to fit in with them.
It mean that’s we don’t have to be perfect and our families don’t have to be perfect. And to respect older people than us.
I think that this means that your blood line will tease back so far to Adam and Eve witch means that you have the same blood line as God witch is crazy to think because in the Gospel there is already so meany generations like 100 time as meany as the Gospel but this also means that we are all brothers and sisters and we need to teach each other with respect and honesty you need to apply the social contract to every one and every thing just because it is not alive does not mean that yours should treat it with disrespect.
Jesus goes back many generations. No family is perfect and it takes a lifetime to learn from our mistakes we make in our families.
The scripture shows the ancestors of joseph, and also puts into perspective how great the bible is. There are so many important people in the bible, and even though Jesus is the MOST important, its still shows how important each and every person in the bible is. No matter the small role they seem to play, they play a much larger role than that.
I think what God is telling us to do is to appreciate life and the beauty of it. God gave us life for a reason and we should cherish the amazing and wondrous gift he has given us.
Who think that their whole lives have been sunk in sin?
I think this passage means that we dont have to be perfect and our famlies dont have to be perfect. I think it alsos means that our blood line goes so far back and i think heis trying to tell us that we are in his blood line.
What stuck out to me is that God created us for relationships, to be part of family, i struggle with being nice to my siblings I think we all have trouble being nice to them, but i will try to do better and i hope you will too.
God created relationships, so that we could be one family. No family is perfect and it takes a lifetime to learn from our mistakes we make in our families. I tend to hurt the ones closest to me.
This is about family and how everyone makes mistakes and how everyone isn’t God or Jesus or anything that is beyond. This scripture is telling us to be yourself and not some Mr/Mrs. Perfect.
i think it means to respect your elders and no to take peple for granted and be grateful for the time we have with them. i also think that its kind of a reminder that not all families are perfect Some families work out and some don’t.
This shows that we are all children of God. It starts at Abraham and shows ALL of Jesus’ ancestors. This helps show that we are all brothers and sisters in Christ
One thing I really liked about this was that it says not all familys are perfect and get along. It also shows a lot of people in one family. Which i like because it reminds you you don’t have to be related to be a family. Family backs each other up and cares for each other and it reminds us we always have a family even when you feel alone.
It teaches us that like no one is perfect and how God doesnt want us to be perfect he wants us to come to him broken so his grace and mercy can save us. And we are not carrying some heavy burden you may have alone even Jesus had burdens so does every on around you and he wants you to go to him with those burdens so he can help.
The fact that Jesus, the Son of God, came from a not so great line of history stuck out to me because I don’t know my heritage other than the fact that I am part mexican and english. I know that way back when those 2 types of culture didn’t get along so well so It helps improve my faith that even some not so great people can be Jesus ancestors.
In this reading I think that the way they talk about Jesus’ ancestors and relatives shows an important message. I think it shows how Jesus had a family too, full of good people and not so good people. But Jesus loved his family and us humans so much that he died for us. He is still alive in us in the Holy Spirit, even if we don’t believe it. We have to stay strong and keep our faith in God. ALWAYS.
In this scripture what stuck out to be was that Jesus had people in his family that weren’t perfect and made really bad decisions but Jesus was still happy to be in their family even with all that sin. i also think that its cool that Abraham was the father of faith and that we are all related to him which means we are all related to Christ spiritually and physically.
This tells me that family is important and that without them we would not be here today. Even if they are not the best they are still important in our lives, no one can be perfect. God wants us to respect everyone but its hard because everyone makes misstakes.
What stuck out to me is that “God created us for relationships, to be part of family.”I know it’s hard to be nice to your family sometimes but God created us for family so we should try our best to be as nice as we can to our family even when they drive you crazy.
What i think it is is that Jesus is telling you that people will be rude a break their bond with Jesus and God, they will fall into the devils hands but he doesn’t want us to follow in their footsteps and fall away to. He wants us to still love them like he loves us and to help them come back to Him. Jesus is also telling us to love your neighbor as yourself. This is the 2nd time He has told us to do it. That means it is very important to love your neighbor as yourself.
No one is perfect obviously, and that means some family members have probably made some bad decisions. So we need to still except them for who they are because we have made bad decisions as well. So why should a sinner judge a sinner? Only Jesus Christ son of God can judge us.
I think that God will forgive us about anything as long as we confess. what we did and he will forgive you for your sins.
It is important to know what happened in the past so we know why, what is happening today. Everyone listed there is important to our world today.
the scripture today means that we are all connected through christ and we can trace Catholicism to jesus, we have a long line of history.
I think today’s scripture passage is trying to tell us that nobody is perfect and it is okay to make mistakes. We all are related to Jesus in some way, and are made to be part of his family. God created us to be part of a family, and he doesn’t expect us to be perfect.
I think this scripture represents our family traditions and hopes for the new world and Heaven. Our past generations of family have worked hard to raise and keep the family going. This also includes Christianity. Our families want us to join them in Heaven and are looking down on us and praying for us.
I think that this means that we are all related to God in one way or another saying as He is our father and the creator of Adam and Eve which we would all be related to.
I feel like we can learn a lot from our family. Jesus talks about the different generations. We can learn about our heritage and learn more about our family.
the scripture is telling me that even though our family has a history of bad things we eventually have something good that can save us from the bad things they did before us. even after us there will still be bad in the family but eventually again there will be good that will save us and something to forgive us from our bad deeds.
I think that is says that God has created us for our families and for other families in the future. In the story there is a big family and we are made to have families just like that. I think that it is really important that we know this because we are meant to have families of our own just like the one in the scripture.
They are more than just names. They are very important people to the bible. We should look up to them.
What I learned is that family is important and we need to love one another. “Some things hit close to home and hit our heartstrings. Tell Jesus thank you I needed that today,” Mr. Goertz. Love is something we create. Family is a powerful thing. Be grateful that you have a loving family because some don’t have families. God loves everyone and He’s our Father so we should love Him as much or greater than our families.
I think this means that we should know our family origins. I just think it is a good piece of information for us. As a child I always wanted to know where my family originated from, and I’m sure that kids my age when I wanted to know where I originated from want to know the same. And I believe that we are are related in Christ.
all these names are family. family is the foundation of your life. if you come from a family that does not care about you or you grades or reaching your potential you will never make it. family is important we all can pass down skills and other stuff that is important to us. we get our wisdom from our elders and when we grow up and become parents we will need to pass it down. all i am saying is that family is important and we need to be there for each other.
Jesus was from a very long family line because god was preparing for Jesus to come for long time. Jesus had Abraham and king David in his line because God was planing for a log time.
value your family. your family loves you no matter what. but some people don’t take the time to appreciate them. Your family members go WAY back. And really in a way you are related to the person next to you. be kind to one another because really your family.
This scripture is amazing it tells us about our relationship with our families that we should never disrespect or be mean because there one of the few people to care and love you
This scripture shows me how much history we have how many generations of people have come before Christ and before us, our family is important. We should appreciate the fact that we are here because of them, if Christ had 14 generations of people before Him, I wonder how many we have! How does God love all of these people? It’s really cool to think about, because in our minds we only know a few people that we love compared to the infinite love of God.
I think that today’s Gospel is telling us that history is important. History is how we got to where we are today, and how we were created. How the world was created. Mary, the mother of God, was BORN today in history. And we may think that reading a bunch of names is boring and useless. But in those names are centuries of experience, and widom. Advice and adventures. So don’t just throw it all away. Listen to it. And learn.
Jesus had a long branch of His family and it is shown today in the Gospel reading that we read today, and it shows us that Jesus never overlooked His ancestors he also looks down at us because we all are part of His family and he doesn’t forget about us and completely loves us in every way.
This goes to show how crazy massive our family bloodlines are and how far back they go. This also connects to how I find it’s weird that we are all related. We are all connected through Adam.
The Scripture teaches us about ancestry and family. We have to respect our ancestors and our family the way Jesus did. Jesus loved and respected His family everyday.
Jesus came from a long line of people who didn’t know that the SON of GOD would be in their family. Imagine if 100 years after you died, someone from your family cured cancer. How amazing would that be? Imagine how much more amazing it would be if God was born into your family. Infinitely more amazing than even curing cancer.
I feel like today God is telling me that I need to prioritize my family. I also feel like God is trying to help me understand the importance of our ancestors.
This scripture is talking about family. God made us brothers and sisters to be kind and loving to one another. Siblings will have conflicts and at some points not like each other, but will always love each other even in the darkest times. We have to learn to forgive one another and to look past our mistakes. Nobody is perfect and nobody’s family is ever perfect.
This scripture is telling me that we are all connected through God. Because generation after generation have all came down to us.
History repeats itself and in order to have the good we must all go through the bad. Jesus died for us so we could be saved. Each of the fourteen generations ended in tragedy or something amazing happened in them, so we could get good things from them and understand the Kingdom of God is waiting for us.
This one was hard for me to understand, but what I got out of it was that friends and family aren’t perfect, no one’s perfect except for Jesus. It’s crazy how Jesus has so many grandparents. But as I think about it, I have so many grandparents. It’s crazy how everyone came from the same people, Adam and Eve. It’s from Abraham to my parents now. That’s just so cool to think about.
We are all family. We are all brothers and sisters of Christ. The message I got from today’s scripture was this : no matter how much we dislike someone they are still our family, and it is our job to help them get to heaven as they should be doing the same for you. We have got to be able to rely on each other.
In this scripture, we read about the generations from Abraham to Jesus. I think this is trying to remind us of our roots, and that our ancestors have done great things. I find it interesting that God made Abraham, David, and Jesus are all 14 generations apart after one another.
This Scripture i think its trying to tell us that we have blood and genes that go back to who know where and somehow all that blood makes us related in Gods eyes and that out History is more than just people that it goes way more deeper than anything other than the bible but it tell us more than who we are related to.
Here, the Scripture is showing us Jesus’ genealogy. I think it may be trying to show us that we all have roots and ancestors as humans. Jesus, being God AND human, also has ancestors. I think this piece of Scripture is sending the message that Jesus isn’t completely different from us. He has human roots as well, and he isn’t a God far away, but a God among humanity.
I think it is saying that we should try to spend time with our family before they pass away. When they are gone you might not remember much if you didn’t spend much time with them. So when you decide to have your own family, you will want your children to spend time with you. So you and your child can make memories together so when you are gone they will remember.
This gospel tells us about the genealogy or family tree of Jesus. If we really think about it we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for God and everyone in our family tree. We are all truly human because God became man. This gospel also shows us the goodness of family and the beauty of it.
Today the scripture is telling me that our family lines go on for a long time and some we might not know at all and some that we know very close but we are all connected in our ways of a family and were all still related which I think reminds me of Jesus being our dad and we all are family and we might not know we are but we are all family through Christ and it’s important to me because knowing that were all family even though we might not know that we are just makes it so we can get to know each other all through Jesus and He is what started all of us as Brothers and Sisters.
What I am getting from this Scripture reflection is that there were many many generations before Jesus and we came along. Maybe one day we will become a generation too. We should also appreciate our family and try to spend more time with them because we won’t have them for ever. See sometimes we say we can spend time with them later but you never know if they are going to still be here when that later comes.
We need to spend more time with our love ones.
After reading this something that came to my mind is that, Jesus did not come from a family that was a bunch of worriers or heroes. The reason I say that is because in our human mind we think a hero would be a war hero or a big celebrity everyone knows about. What I am trying to say is that Jesus’ family in the past was not filled with warriors or anything like that, but instead, was filled with normal people. Big things can come in little packages.
this means that Jesus Christ is always in you
I think that too many people (including myself) want to be recognized, remembered, and perfect. Half of Jesus’s family I have never heard about, ever. “…Amminadab became the father of Nahshon.” Amminadab? Nahshon? Who ARE those people? I have no clue.
But the point isn’t to be “written in the History books.” It’s to live for one purpose, God. Notice Jesus didn’t pick famous or influential people to be his family. He chose people like Uzzah, Jehoshaphat, and Jotham. You don’t have to be “great,” all you have to do is know and love Christ.
42 generations is a LONG time, but anyway families are big and precious. You only get 1 chance at life, so use it wisely, and devote your life to Christ.
this scripture tells me that I need to put my family before myself always
“Thus the total number of generations
from Abraham to David
is fourteen generations.” This shows truly how long we might wait and yet we still get our promise.
When I first read this it was a bunch of names, but this is Jesus’s family so it’s ours to I think that it’s so cool that God gave us this knowledge.
jesus whats me to got talk to my family more and also whats me to be more kinder to otherds
I think what this is saying is that however many generations there are we are all related through Jesus. We are all family so treat them like family.
the thing that stuck out to me was that God made us to be a family. An not all families are perfect and we tend to hurt the people closest to us.
God created us for relationships, to be part of family. No family is perfect and it takes a lifetime to learn from our mistakes we make in our families. Everybody has something special about them not everybody in your family will get along.
I think God is trying to show us just how big of a family we are. I also think that He is showing that His family is not perfect.
God loves very much. He acknowledges that sin and he forgives us if we seek forgiveness. He is very proud and happy to be our Father.
I think this scripture is trying to tell us that everyone has a family. It is up to us to remember that we are their family.
No family is perfect and it takes a lifetime to learn from our mistakes we make in our families. This one stuck out at me because no one is perfect even if you think you are, you’re not. God created you not to be perfect but be you.
I think it’s amazing that the Lord gave us this information about Jesus’s family. But it’s also our family in a way because God is our Father and Jesus’s.
This Scripture is to say that no family is perfect. This is very true but God still loves us more than we can ever dream of. He wants us to be with him through Jesus.
Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary. Of her was born Jesus who we call Christ. This shows that It took many generations, but after time, Jesus, the son of God became man. Jesus is fully man and fully God.
I think this is saying that no family is perfect and no matter the sins you have committed in your life God will always love you and except you. He created you in his own image and he just wants you to know him.He will always accept you into his Kingdom.
No family is perfect and we learn from our mistakes. The devil trys to destroy our family relashionships, and he does not want us to come to him perfect but make us holy which makes us happy. God created us to be in a relashionship, part of a family.
What this passage means to me is that there were a lot of generations before Jesus and His parents. That means that some of his family probably was not perfect. That means that we are not perfect. If we are not perfect then why should we judge others when others do something wrong and are unperfect. Jesus is perfect in every way so he is the only one who can judge us and others.
No family is ever perfect, but no matter how far out our family tree can go we must be kind to everyone
I think what the gospel is saying even though we might not have the best relations with our family members we should still love and respect them because if you didn’t have family then you might’ve not been alive and if that wasn’t the reason you should still love them because they are still you’re still family which God made for us. We should be grateful for what God has given us.
What I think God is telling us is that family is important and we should try to spend more time with them.Another thing he is trying to tell us is he is with us trough every generation no matter what. Also I think he is trying to say that every generation will change as time go’s on and that everyone will be different.
God created us to be a family or part of one. The devil tries to destroy us but we must be strong and help our families aswell. Sometimes its hard to be kind to your family but thats ok because all of us make mistakes.
Jesus Christ has been with us for many generations. Everyone came from the Father and will go back to Him. This scripture is very meaningful
