Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.
Jesus said to the crowds:
“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draw him,
and I will raise him on the last day.
It is written in the prophets:
They shall all be taught by God.
Everyone who listens to my Father and learns from him comes to me.
Not that anyone has seen the Father
except the one who is from God;
he has seen the Father.
Amen, amen, I say to you,
whoever believes has eternal life.
I am the bread of life.
Your ancestors ate the manna in the desert, but they died;
this is the bread that comes down from heaven
so that one may eat it and not die.
I am the living bread that came down from heaven;
whoever eats this bread will live forever;
and the bread that I will give
is my Flesh for the life of the world.” JN 6:44-51
“I am the bread of life. Your ancestors ate manna in the desert, but they died; this is the bread that comes down from heaven so that one may eat it and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread I will give is my Flesh for the life of the world.” Jn 6:44-51
God is found in communion. God is joy and we are a result of Him overflowing with joy. We are a result of love. Adam and Eve broke this joy, so God set out to reconcile Himself with His creation. He does this through a sacrificial meal. The Old Testament sacrificial meal comes to us at Passover. God instructed Moses and the people to eat bitter herbs (to remind them of their bitter slavery) and unleavened bread (they were in a hurry to get away so they did not have time to let the bread rise), and a roasted lamb (daubed the blood on the doorposts so the angel of death would pass over their homes). God later feeds them with manna in the desert.
The new sacrificial meal or new Passover is Jesus Christ. Isaiah prophesies that “He will be like a sheep led to slaughter.” Today, Jesus teaches us He is the bread of life and we must eat His Flesh to have eternal life. Jesus has made a host for you everyday. Go to Mass as often as possible and be in full communion with God. This is the way God has chosen to give Himself to us from the Last Supper until He returns. Most importantly, as Bishop Robert Barron puts it, “Jesus just wants to be our friend. He wants to set around the supper table and have a great conversation.” The supper table is the altar, God calls all of us together to it each Sunday, and Jesus feeds our souls for the journey. Thank you, Jesus!
Today’s challenge: Allow Jesus to be your friend! Talk to Him every day about everything. There is nothing more that He wants than to be your best friend. How do you develop a friendship? Spend time with them. Find a place to make a habit of spending time talking to Jesus and learning about Him in the Scriptures. Read one of the 4 Gospels all of the way through. It will only take a few minutes each day of your time and it might be the biggest conversion experience you will ever have.

I can reflect this on my life because it is saying that the only person that can give you power is God, you cant walk up to the gates of Heaven and demand to be let in, you have to work and follow Gods will and receive the Bread of Life, so that you may not die and live forever in peace with the Lord.
In this it says that God teaches us and that hoever eats the bread of his body and drink of his blood will have eternal life and will rest with him in heaven.
Jesus says that he is the the bead of life, and if you eat the bread of life you will not die. This means that If you take his advice you will have eternal life with God.
I can imply this to my life by praying and letting Jesus into my life and not block him out.
I can apply this to my life by letting God take control. He will take care of me and all I have to do is trust Him and have faith. I can also build a stronger relationship with Christ by devoting time in my day to talk to Him. Knowing that God is in my presence, especially during this time of anxiety and distress, I should spend time with Him and fully understand Him.
GOd is great
Jesus’s body is the bread of life. If we believe that and if we believe all of his teachings, we will have eternal life because he is the savior. He is the son of God! We must believe so that we can have eternal life with him.
God saved our ancestors and he will save us?
I think that it is strange that Jesus says that no one has seen the Father, because He is one with the Father. I think that maybe He is saying that no one has been to Heaven.
I believe this passage is saying that Jesus is the Son of God and He is the way for a good holy life.
I can put this into my life by listening to Jesus more often because that is how I can enter Heaven.
In today’s scripture Jesus is foreshadowing his death on the cross. We must know how much Jesus loves us. If he needed to die on the cross again, just for us, he would. Even though we are always forgiven and he always will love us, we must try our best to be the best/ holiest version of ourselves.
God is saying to us believe and you will be alive with me in Heaven. Because he gives us his body and blood to receive at communion so we can remember him so we can go to Heaven when we die.
We are a result of joy and love. God is trying to reconcile with us. He does this through a sacrificial meal during Passover. The new Passover is Jesus. We have to go to mass to receive him and let him into our lives
We need God to satisfy our spiritual hunger. Each and every time we receive Communion we grow closer to God. Being close to God is important for us to be able to enter Heaven. God sent his only son to die on a cross so that we can be with him in Heaven. We have to actively try to live a holy life so that we may enter Heaven.
In today’s Gospel Jesus is saying whoever talks to the Father will receive the love of God eternally in heaven. God loves all of us on this earth and he wants us to come talk to him if we need something he is all ways there for us and always will be. He loves us so much and we need to pay him back by giving him the love everyday just to talk to him and show him hoe much we love him, because he loves us so much.
I really like this! I think it really shows that you have to belive and trust in God, to get closer to him. You can’t become closer to Him without believing in him first. If you pray and read your bible every night, you will get closer to Him, but you have to trust Him.
Jesus is saying their ancestors ate manna and died but if they eat the bread of life they will live forever, this can apply to us to. Sure we need food and drink to live and money to get food and drink but to really truly live we need God, yes are bodies are hungry but are souls are hungry as well. WE NEED GOD, we need his grace, his love, and his forgiveness and he is willing to give it to us, we just need to be willing to take it. Think of it this way, we are like little children who don´t like vegetables, the vegetables are like Gods grace and love, God is like the parents who are begging to get their children to eat the vegetables so their children will grow up to be big and strong. We (the children) know that we need Gods grace but we just don´t want to take it, its like whenever something is good for it just has this bad taste that makes it seem repulsive or it seems to difficult and you just don´t want to keep doing it. God wants us to take his grace and love and forgiveness because he knows we need it to be up in heaven with him but he can´t force anything on us so its up to us to accept the wonderful gifts Gods offering us. We may think food and money is all we want but like Jesus said if we eat manna we will die so we need to take the bread of life as well so we can live forever.
In this Scripture, I think Jesus is telling us whoever believes in Him will go to Heaven. We must always listen to God, for if Adam and Eve had listened, the world would be perfect.
What i learned from this is that we need to allow Jesus to be our friend.
We are closest to Jesus when we receive Him in Holy Communion. If we faithfully receive Jesus then we will go to heaven. The people who lived before Jesus didn’t go to heaven immediately because He hadn’t sacrificed Himself yet. Only after He sacrificed Himself did Jesus take the faithful Israelites to heaven.
We get to receive Jesus every time we receive communion, and sometimes we don’t acknowledge that. We get to have Jesus inside us when we receive and that’s a great gift.
In today’s scripture I take that god is humble yet he is still above all. He is the one that we need to follow to get to Heaven. He is the ultimate role model
In this scripture passage I learned that Jesus really wants to be our friend and just wants to get to know us so we can one day be in Heaven with him. We don’t really pay much attention to this and I think we can all really work on this.
Jesus says He is the bread of Life. He is telling us that if we follow his teachings we shall have eternal life in heaven with Him.
Jesus gave His whole body, blood, soul and divinity for us. It is represented in the Eucharist, which even though we cannot receive at this time, we should be thankful for Him. He is the body. He is the blood. We shall drink from his cup and eat of Him.
When we receive the Eucharist we are closer to God than ever before. But, we need to receive him faithfully because then we shall go to heaven and be with God. God is humble and kind he could destroy us if he wants to but he decides to give us a chance to live with forever.
I can reflect on this scripture by allowing Jesus to be my friend.
Jesus is calling us everyday to the altar. The manna in the desert symbolizes the wrong paths that we take. The bread of Heaven is a good path we can take. Like Bishop Baron said , “ Jesus just wants to have a conversation with us”. Choose the good path.
Jesus is telling us to believe in him. We need Jesus to get to heaven and to know what are purpose is. He doesn’t need us we need him.
Jesus if truly present in Communion, so every time we receive the Eucharist, we receive Christ himself. We should always be open to the Lord, and remember what we are doing. Receive the Lord with reverence, instead just going through the motions because you’ve done it a hundred times. Each reception is different.
I can apply this to my life by believing that God is the bread of life and that no body can replace him
We need to work hard to improve the way we do things so that we can make it to eternal life with Him.
I can apply this to my life by realizing that Jesus is the way to heaven, and we have to believe in him.
If you listen and obey Jesus then you will make it to heaven. People will make fun of this passage in particular, and use it to ridicule our faith. God and Jesus knew what they were doing and didn’t bother to stop them, because those who truly want to believe will not be scared off by rumors and lies.
We should always obey Jesus no matter what, and if we pray everyday we can get closer to God.
In today’s gospel, Jesus speaks in the midst of great crowds, revealing, “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draw him, and I will raise him on the last day. It is written in the prophets: They shall all be taught by God. Everyone who listens to my Father and learns from him comes to me. Not that anyone has seen the Father except the one who is from God; he has seen the Father. Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. Your ancestors ate the manna in the desert, but they died; this is the bread that comes down from heaven so that one may eat it and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my Flesh for the life of the world.” Our Lord Jesus, in the thirteenth line, remarks, “Your ancestors ate the manna in the desert, but they died,” and continues, “this is the bread that comes down from heaven so that one may eat it and not die”. Jesus, in the form of the Eucharist, he is the bread of life, the remaining aid within our lives driven deep within us, in our souls. With this, we are given the ability to stretch out our faith and harness graces, ascending into heaven.
In today’s scripture Jesus is telling us that he is the bread of life if you eat of it you will have eternal life, but if you don’t eat of it you won’t have eternal life.
In today’s scripture I learned that if you trust in Jesus and believe that he will save you than he will save you.
To have eternal life you need to believe in him,and in order to believe in him you have to trust him. It might be hard to do,but you can do it by getting closer to him.
I can apply this to my life by praying to God and trying to grow closer to him.
I can apply this to my life by listening and following God’s command. He’s the only one with power, the only person who you should believe in.
Jesus is telling us he is the light of the world and has come to save us all.
I can apply this scripture to my life by allowing God into my life and really listen to what he has to say.
Jesus is telling us he is the light of the world and has come to save us all so we can enter into eternal life.
I can apply this scripture passage to my life today by becoming less attached to worldly things. I need to remember that I will be truly happy with God in heaven and not with all of the stuff that this earth has to offer.
We need to let God take control. He knows best and always will therefore we can trust Him with our life and choices.
In this scripture, Jesus tells us that He is the bread of life. He is literally the bread of life through the Eucharist, and figuratively he is the bread of life by sustaining us throughout our lives. “Whoever eats this bread will live forever,” Jesus tells us that whoever “eats this bread” or rather follows him will earn eternal life in Heaven.
Jesus is the way of life and he is our role model to get to our ultimate goal of Heaven. Sometimes its hard to make the right decisions like he did, but if you follow the commandments and make good decisions you will have eternal life
We shouldn’t shut out God from our lives, it only makes things worse. He is our Lord and will grant us eternal life in heaven if we stay true to him. He is love.
If we truly receive Holy Communion, and repent for our sins, Jesus says that we will go to Heaven. But we have to believe in Jesus. We can’t just go through the actions.
Jesus says that if we truly receive Holy Communion, we will go to Heaven. But we have to receive it in our hearts as well, otherwise it means nothing. We can’t just go through the motions at Mass.
Jesus says in this scripture that who ever eats the Bread and drinks the Blood and believes in God will have eternal life.
I thought it was strange that Jesus said that no one has seen the father. I think he was possibly hinting that the gates of heaven will open and people will see him.
Jesus is telling us that he is the bread of life and if we receive the bread of life we will have eternal life forever but in order to do that we must believe in God and all his teachings
Jesus is telling us that he wants us to let me take control of our lives and that we should let him. Since he is the bread of life and knows the way.
I can apply this to my life by praying to God and trying to grow closer to him.
Jesus is the father, and no one goes to the father except through him. So if we wish to ever get to heaven, we must stray away from sin and stay holy and stay faithful.
