Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.
After the crippled man had been cured,
while Peter and John were still speaking to the people,
the priests, the captain of the temple guard,
and the Sadducees confronted them,
disturbed that they were teaching the people
and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection of the dead.
They laid hands on Peter and John
and put them in custody until the next day,
since it was already evening.
But many of those who heard the word came to believe
and the number of men grew to about five thousand.
On the next day, their leaders, elders, and scribes
were assembled in Jerusalem, with Annas the high priest,
Caiaphas, John, Alexander,
and all who were of the high-priestly class.
They brought them into their presence and questioned them,
“By what power or by what name have you done this?”
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, answered them,
“Leaders of the people and elders:
If we are being examined today
about a good deed done to a cripple,
namely, by what means he was saved,
then all of you and all the people of Israel should know
that it was in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean
whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead;
in his name this man stands before you healed.
He is the stone rejected by you, the builders,
which has become the cornerstone.
There is no salvation through anyone else,
nor is there any other name under heaven
given to the human race by which we are to be saved.” Acts 4:1-12
Why does the Catholic Church teach that there is no salvation through anyone but Jesus? Peter answers that question in front of the high priests today. The Church also teaches that a person of good will for all who follows his/her faith and has never been taught about Jesus will have an opportunity for heaven, too. For those of us that know Jesus and His story, do we have good will towards all? How do we treat people? The only way a non-Christian knows about our faith is first through our actions towards others and how we worship our God.
Second, Jesus’ name heals. Use it only in prayer, not in cussing. Don’t watch Youtube videos or any other form of media where people are using God’s name in vain.
Jesus revealed himself again to his disciples at the Sea of Tiberias.
He revealed himself in this way.
Together were Simon Peter, Thomas called Didymus,
Nathanael from Cana in Galilee,
Zebedee’s sons, and two others of his disciples.
Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.”
They said to him, “We also will come with you.”
So they went out and got into the boat,
but that night they caught nothing.
When it was already dawn, Jesus was standing on the shore;
but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus.
Jesus said to them, “Children, have you caught anything to eat?”
They answered him, “No.”
So he said to them, “Cast the net over the right side of the boat
and you will find something.”
So they cast it, and were not able to pull it in
because of the number of fish.
So the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord.”
When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord,
he tucked in his garment, for he was lightly clad,
and jumped into the sea.
The other disciples came in the boat,
for they were not far from shore, only about a hundred yards,
dragging the net with the fish.
When they climbed out on shore,
they saw a charcoal fire with fish on it and bread.
Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish you just caught.”
So Simon Peter went over and dragged the net ashore
full of one hundred fifty-three large fish.
Even though there were so many, the net was not torn.
Jesus said to them, “Come, have breakfast.”
And none of the disciples dared to ask him, “Who are you?”
because they realized it was the Lord.
Jesus came over and took the bread and gave it to them,
and in like manner the fish.
This was now the third time Jesus was revealed to his disciples
after being raised from the dead. JN 21:1-14
“This was now the third time Jesus was revealed to his disciples after being raised from the dead.” JN 21:14
How many times does Jesus need to return and reveal Himself for us to believe? We say it every Sunday in Church and every time we start a rosary. Have you ever really thought about what you believe in. I need proof. When my children are fighting, I ask them what happened and I listen to both sides of the story, then decide who is telling the truth. If someone tells me that they found something amazing, I need proof especially if it is far fetched or too good to be true. Jesus Christ is the Truth, but His resurrection is not too good to be True. When you put your complete trust in God, He will not let you down. God never breaks His covenants, His love is always true, He knows you better than you know yourself and loves you more than you love yourself. Trust in Him, believe in Him, come to the supper table He has prepared for you and receive eternal life. Now, “Come, have breakfast,” with Jesus, go to Mass (or in these special times, watch it)!!!
Today’s challenge: Fast. It is Friday, Lent is over, reminding yourself of what Jesus did for you last Friday is a requirement on every Friday throughout the year. Put rocks in your shoes, fast from something, make yourself poor in some area of your life. Eat breakfast with Jesus. Try to make it to daily Mass more often this year. Believe.

Be a servant, become a saint!
It is strange to me that those of the most power and regarded as the ones with the most wisdom are the ones who refuse to accept Jesus Christ as their King. It confuses me that the disciples were not with Jesus all of the time after He had risen, I think that if someone you loved had died, you wouldn’t have any time away from them when they had risen. Jesus has already risen, and can take us to eternal life if we follow His commandments and believe in Him, this is easy compared to what the disciples went through.
What I think God is trying to tell me is that no one can get to Heaven except through, so we must accept him and take him into our boat. God has a plan for us, but we must confide in him to recieve that fullness.
The Sadducees and priests and temple gaurds were not just disturbed but they were also scared when Peter and John began procliaming the ressurection of Jesus so they put them in jail untill the next day when they were relaesed Peter & John said thatb Jesus was the cornerstone rejected by the priests. We ourselves reject Jesus & God for other things like games and material and sometimes ourselves. We just need to listed to God and we will discover many great things in this world that used to be impossible for us to see would then be habitual.
It said this was a duplicate. so I added this.
Jesus is here for us, whether we believe it or not. Same as He revealed Himself to his disciples he reveals Himself through other things to reach us. Think about the beautiful sunset you saw the other day or that random good deed that another person did for you. That is how you know God is with us because God is good.
I can apply this to my life by believing that God is the true way to happiness and not electronics or toys
I can watch less youtube and pray more often. something you see may be hard to belive, maybe because of science reasons, or just logic, just know its probably the Lords doing.
This piece of Scripture shows us that if we have belief in God, He can do wondrous deeds. This is showcased by Jesus raising from the dead. Many people did not believe this, so they will not enter the Kingdom of God. If we believe in the Lord, we have a greater chance of getting to Heaven that those who do not believe.
This passage reminds me that our gender, race, looks, and how we act DOESN’T MATTER! GOD LOVES US AND WILL LET US IN TO HEAVEN NO MATTER WHAT WE ARE TO OTHER PEOPLE, because God doesn’t look at our gender, looks, race, OR ANYTHING, he looks as if we are the only thing that he cares about, WHICH IS TRUE!
Jesus…why do we do thing that get us to things that we don’t want??? If we see you face to face like Peter did, why do we jump out of our boat and try to flee? Even I can’t answer these questions, but you can.
I can apply this to my life by believing. Believing Jesus is the Truth. Believing Jesus died on the cross to save me from my sins. Believing that Jesus rose from the dead. I need to sit down in a quite room, by myself, and just reflect on everything I have. Because, everything good I have is because of Jesus. I need to believe more in him.
I can reflect on this scripture today by being like peter, and John proclaiming the good news to those who killed Jesus
This is saying that anything is possible with God. If you ask Him then He will help you. If you follow what Jesus tells us to do then we will go to Heaven.
We will not be saved by money or wealth, but rather through God. The disciples recognized this and were put into prison. However, you cannot stop the truth no matter how hard you try. The number of followers grew to five thousand that day, and there was no way for the Pharisees or Sadducees to stop it, because you can’t cover the truth once it’s out in the open.
This is telling me that Jesus can work miracles! He is awesome in every single way. He cured a crippled man and when He told the fishers to cast their net on the other side of the boat, they caught much fish. If you pray and believe, e might work miracles in your life too.
Simon Peter and the Disciples are reminding the crowd that we don’t have to be Jesus to do good. I feel like a lot of the time we think that Jesus can only do good things. We need to remind ourselves everyday that even though we aren’t Jesus, we can still do good and that and grace is all we need to get to Heaven.
In the scripture, it tells us how Jesus Christ shows his disciples to trust in his power. He showed his disciples to trust in his power with them catching no fish then Jesus tells them to cast on another side and they caught a lot of fish. Jesus tells them that instead of fishermen the will be “fishers of men”. This showed that one person like a pope, priest, bishop, etc.. can change a person’s view of the world.
Mr. Goertz i do not get this scripture reflection at all.
Today in the scripture it’s telling us to believe and have faith in Jesus because he can help you to do the impossible. Only through Jesus we can have salvation. He shows us this by dying on the cross.
Even if we are failing at following Jesus,if we trust in him he will always forgive us and always love us.
Jesus is telling us to believe in him even when it seems unbelievable. He wants us to pray to him everyday and ask for the Holy Spirit’s guidance so we can get to Heaven.
if we believe in Jesus then we can do anything
I can apply this to my live by realizing that we must stand up for our faith.
I have always loved this passage because it goes to show just how much we need to pay attention to the small things in life. These small things are miricales and blessings God has given.
I believe we should all try to have peter’s courage. The way he stands up to the guards and admits to the faith is a power we should all try to obtain.
We can do all things through Jesus and he can do anything for us. Everything He does is done for a reason and we have to put full trust in him to guide us and lead us down the right path. He is the only one who can give us salvation so we must go through him.
All we have to do is put our trust in Jesus and he will take care of the rest. There is no salvation besides through Jesus.Always trust that it is God leading us in the right way. We don’t need proof to believe that God is real because we should already believe.
We need to trust in God. He is the truth and the one constant thing in our life. We should rely on Him, so He can guide us to eternal life and happiness.
I can apply this to my life by, always doing what I think is best for me to get to Heaven. I can realize that He has a plan for everything. And I cannot be afraid to spread the good news.
In this passage, Peter and John were preaching to the priests, and they got arrested. They got arrested for speaking about Jesus and preaching to the priests. Peter and John may be scared to go and preach because they know they can be arrested. But, they go out and preach the word of God anyways.
In this scripture, I can apply it to my life by treating others right. Don’t leave anyone out, and don’t make fun of someone for believing in something or liking somethings. It’s good to accept everyone, even if they did something bad to you. When there is a problem, I must not take one’s side. I must know both sides of the story to be reasonable.
From this I take away that we should always follow Jesus as our role-model. Jesus was never scared at any point because he knew that if he died he would go to sit at the right hand of the Father. If we follow in his foot steps and we live a truly selfless life we can too go to Heaven with the Father.
When someone is telling you not to do something that you know that is right explain to them what it is that you are doing like Peter did to the priests. Also spread the message of the Lord because there are a lot of people who know it and just don’t truly understand it or there are people who just don’t know who Jesus is. You don’t have to travel across the world to do this though because maybe in your family a person is losing their faith.Tell them of the goodness, act like a true Catholic and show them the good news of Jesus.
Jesus tested the disciples faith and he is testing are faith to see if we get to heaven if are soul is clean enough so we need to go to confection.
To me, this reflection is saying that we need to trust in God and because he does miraculous things.
I can apply this scripture to my life by taking a little bit of time out of my day to spend with Jesus. I can also be a leader in anything. I can lead people to do right things instead of doing the wrong things and also lead people to believe in our Lord.
Today Jesus is qestioned. As the people don’t know yet that he is the Messiah. Just like How doubting Thomas question jesus. We should not question Him, He came down for or sins and yet the high priest blames him and takes harge of him saying blasmephy.
I can apply this to my life by trusting God and believing in His Word. I know that Jesus was raised from the dead and is back with us again, but I don’t truly BELIEVE. I need to fully understand Christ in His Scriptures, have faith, and evangelize the Truth.
The apostles put their trust in Jesus. We should put our trust in Jesus too. The apostles trusted Jesus so much that they could perform amazing feats like catching so much fish their net almost breaks. If we put our trust in Jesus we can trust him to guide us to live a holy life and guide us to Heaven.
Even though Lent is over we shouldn’t forget about Jesus rising from the dead. We still need to make sacrifices for the good of others.
We have to believe in Jesus and what he has planned for us and everything he has done for us that it means something and we can’t ignore any signs he gives us that he is here and he is here to help us live our lives and get to heaven.
This is saying that jesus is the 1 true God that can bring us to salvation
This scripture passage tells me that we should think back to what happened to Jesus this past weekend and try and sacrifice. We also should be aware of how much he has done for us and how little we notice. We should try to get closer to God this Easter season.
Jesus had to return three times after He died in order His disciples to believe that He had truly risen. It is easy to doubt something so incredible and magnificent, which is why the Catholic Faith still has many non-believers today. Personally, I don’t know if I would have been able to believe if one of my close friends literally ROSE FROM THE DEAD. Just because we’re not in Lent anymore doesn’t mean we can’t sacrifice.
I can imply this in my life by watching and listening to church and letting Jesus into my life.
This scripture passage is trying to teach us that there is many good people and bad people and in this situation the priests are bad and the people are good.We need to be more like the people who fully believe in Jesus Christ. That is the only way we will have eternal life with God.
I can use this in my daily life, by showing that I am appreciative of what God has done for me. By going all lent and following through with what I gave up.
Jesus saves the crippled man. Jesus provides a good example today by doing this. This kinda mirrors how he will save us whenever the second coming happens. We need to pray every day.
I can reflect on this by remembering every time I am criticized for my faith to stand strong and preach what God has done for me. And no matter what anyone tells me, to stay faithful to my religion and beliefs.
This passage tells me that we should believe in Jesus and He will do great things. God has a way with people and we should want the best. We should trust Him because He is the King of Kings.
What I can reflect on this scripture is that even though Lent is over we should still fast from something or do something extra.
In today’s gospel, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, the apostles Peter and John cure a crippled man and are arrested for one day, with crimes of speaking to both the young and old, in the efforts of converting their hearts for the Lord, and defeating sin’s stretch over them. With a silent approach, the priests, the captain of the temple guard, and the Sadducees confronted the two of them, clenched their shoulders, and half grunted as they locked them into custody, disturbed by their spread in Jesus, the fraud Nazorean King of the Jews (they thought). On the following day, Peter and John were brought into the midst of the elders, and scribes, with Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, John, Alexander, and all who were of the high-priestly class; and upon their questioning, they were asked, “By what power or by what name have you done this?” Then, Peter, from the Holy Spirit’s empowering, rose and answered them, “Leaders of the people and elders: If we are being examined today about a good deed done to a cripple, namely, by what means he was saved, then all of you and all the people of Israel should know that it was in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead; in his name this man stands before you healed. He is the stone rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. There is no salvation through anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to the human race by which we are to be saved.”
From what I got out of the gospel today, it seemed that the high priests, elders, and other people are really making a big deal about the fact that Peter and John healed a crippled man. Of course being able to walk about normally after being a cripple is a big deal, but still I don’t see why they had to go and question Peter and John. This reminded me of my own home life during this quarantine, and it made me think that sometimes I nag my parents and brother. After reading this gospel I see that it is not a kind and enjoyable thing to do.
In today’s scripture Jesus is telling us that it doesn’t matter what other people think of you when you are spreading the Gospel.
Jesus is saying that He is the only on who can save the human race therefore we should trust in him and heed his words.
In today’s Scripture reflection God is telling us to trust in Him. We need to trust in Him because in the end it’ll all be worth it, He will lead us to success and also love. If we just trust in Him If we just trust and listen to Him then he will lead us to to His kingdom and join Him in eternal life.
In today’s scripture Jesus is telling us that it doesn’t matter what other people think of you when you are spreading the Gospel to other people.
We need to believe in God through everything. Through the toughest times when we think we should give up on Him, we need to stay faithful.
Jesus healed many people in his time on earth. Yet they still crucified him. We should be doing good while we still can on earth. We need to follow by Jesus’ example and do good on this earth.
believe in God and anything will happen he is the way and we must follow him he is our savior
We need Jesus in our lives. Not just to be good people but to get to Heaven. We can’t put him off because we want to play with are material things. I’m going to apply this to my life by spending less time on the Xbox and more time with him.
Peter today is telling us to lean on Jesus, because even though they rejected him, he will now hold us up and support us through him. We need to be willing to trust him.
“If we are being examined today about a good deed done to a cripple, namely, by what means he was saved, then all of you and all the people of Israel should know that it was in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead.” I can put this into my life by always remembering that Jesus Christ died for us and rose three days later.
Today’s scripture reminded me of the way that non Catholics act. Proof is sitting right before their eyes yet they still question “through whom did you do that” when it is so obvious. Proof is dropped right in front of them and they still are unfaithful how could they think in such a way. We need t remember that there is no other Lord it could be there is 1 and it has stayed like that for eternity and it is not changing anytime soon.
Today’s scripture is telling us to trust i God so we may have eternal life with him.
In this reading, Peter told the high priests, that it was through Jesus the crippled man was healed. This teaches us that we should not be afraid to speak out about our faith.
Jesus is the only person that can save us. A new video game won’t save you. We need to trust in him.
We are taught to be grateful for the things God has given us. This passage of scripture whos how much we should do so.
I can apply this to my life by showing others I have Christ in me. You can tell Peter has Christ in him because of the way he treated others and talked about Christ. I want to show others that Jesus is within me by they way I treat others and any other way possible.
In my life I need to truly believe that Jesus has risen. It is hard for us to believe because a lot of us need physical proof, that we can touch or see. We just have to trust and believe that he has truly risen.
We must do things through Jesus. The Apostles healed people in Jesus’ s name. We must do things in His name too. Not bad things, but good things. Good things so we can get to Heaven and be with Him.
Peter says there is no salvation without God because God is our salvation. We heard Peter get filled with the Holy Spirit which is what we all want to happen to us.
In today’s scripture, Jesus shows that He will always provide for us. He saved us and sustains us. Doing His will is the only way we could get to heaven.
Today Jesus is just trying to tell me to believe. I need to quit questioning the Resurrection and just believe because Jesus has truly risen from the dead.
What I got from the Scripture is that we need to trust in God at al times. I also got that we shouldn’t start being kind to others on judgment day. We should start being kind to others today and every day for the rest of our lives. We should trust in Jesus and great things will happen.
We have to always come back to Jesus in every time in our lives knowing that He will be there with open arms.
God will always protect us and I think he would send his son to save us again.
We need to believe. It’s hard to believe in something that you can’t see, but we need to trust in Jesus. He can do great things with us if we just let Him be in control of us. We can’t control everything, but Jesus can.
Jesus is the only way to salvation. None of our material things will get us to heaven. It’s important that we don’t take it for granted that we’ll automatically get into heaven. If they are good people, people who belong to other religions can go to heaven too. At the same time, people who are Catholics but don’t do good things probably won’t go to heaven. I’m going to remind myself of what will bring me to heaven and what will not.
I can apply this to my life by instead of listening to my friends or even my family listening to God and trying to live by his word.
In this scripture passage it is saying that the people rejected Jesus and he came from the dead and he is amazing.
We need to not question God. As Peter said, we don’t know when God will come. We have no idea when our judgment day will be so we must be prepared, always.
Jesus died on the cross for our sins. He loves us so much that he took his life for our sins. We are so lucky to have him be our savior and then rose from the dead and opened the gates of heaven. Jesus loves us so much so we need to take the opportunity to talk to him everyday and just tell him how much we love him because he loves us so much. So we love him so much back.
Today’s is telling us that we need to recognize what Jesus did for us and be thankful for everything He did to make humanity better.
One thing that stuck out to me in the scripture is that it says “Jesus Christ the Nazorean whom you (us) crucified” and “He is the stone rejected by you (us)” We are the people who rejected him and made him die, yet we still rely on Him for salvation. Later it says he has become our cornerstone. A cornerstone here is something that you depend on, and we depend heavily on Jesus to be free of sin, even though we were the ones who caused his death and rejected him. I think we need to understand more of how we rely on Jesus, and how we can accept him into our lives, rather than rejecting him.
We do good things like help someone out but then we get made fun of and bullied for what we did like it was something bad. Just how Jesus died on the cross for us yet some call him a bad man. This tells me to always do the right thing.
God has all power. He uses that power with love. We must respect everything he has gave us.
In today’s scripture it is basically saying that we as Catholics believe that their is no salvation through anybody else besides God. ALWAYS BELIEVE IN GOD!
We need to put complete trust in God. If we give ourselves up for Him He will provide.
In today’s gospel, a crippled man was cured by Peter and John. This curing brings me to think of the current pandemic and the billions of people affected by it. I know Jesus can just by waving His hand end all fo the pain, suffering, and death, but there is some reason that He hasn’t yet, there has to be a deeper meaning for all of this. I do not know why, but for some reason, God has let this virus continue to rage on. We know that Jesus gives meaning to suffering, but why does he allow it to happen? Jesus died for our sins, but why do we still pay for them in purgatory? In today’s scripture, Peter says, “There is no salvation through anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to the human race by which we are to be saved.” Without God, we are nothing. A great quote from Ronald Regan, “If we forget that we are one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.” It is God and God alone that we can accomplish anything, even beat a virus. I may not have an answer for all of these questions, but I will continue on praying for an end to COVID-19, meditate on these questions, and pray for the health and well being of you all. Stay safe and God bless!
#ChristianYOLO
He is basically saying I am the best. which is very true about himm. H e work through those how act like him.
I can apply this to my daily life by being more thankful for what others do and be grateful for what I have.
I need to realize that I am not the only person on this earth. I need to remember that God died resserectied and helped so many people. People feel bad because they do not put his faith in him. I need to love him because he came to his appostles to let them know God is real and loves us very much.
Today God is telling me that I should fast more from social media. When I am social media forget about God for a little while and get more focused on my phone which is a bad thing in many ways. Another thing that I can do is watch more appropriate videos. For example I should unfollow dirty users on tik tok and snap more holy people
God does not need us but we still need God. He can sustain himself and we can not sustain ourselves at all we need God God cares about us. If he stopped caring we would not exist because we cannot sustain ourselves we need God. But God does not seed us to keep thinking about him he is God.
God does not need us but we still need God. He can sustain himself and we can not sustain ourselves at all we need God God cares about us. If he stopped caring we would not exist because we cannot sustain ourselves we need God. But God does not seed us to keep thinking about him he is God. _
I can apply this to my life by showing others Christ is in me. The way Peter treated others and told them about Christ shows he had Jesus. I want treat others the way I would want them to treat me. We should also treat people how Jesus would treat them. We need to set a good example.
