Prayer Prompt before reading Romans 8:31-39 Come, Holy Spirit, teach me how to pray well, interpret the Scriptures for me so that I may know the Truth about who God the Father is and God the Son so that I may know who I am.
“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:31-39
Humbly submit your will to God (thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Romans 8:31-39
Today, Paul teaches us something that is life-changing. NOTHING IS MORE POWERFUL THAN THE LOVE OF GOD. God’s love will prevail through all eternity. It conquers and will never be conquered. You and I are a product of it, we can love God back, love others, and create new life with Him if we are blessed to do so. Love never ends. How you loved while given time on earth will be all that matters on the last day.
LK 13:31-35
Jesus tells us on the third day “I accomplish my purpose”. He is frustrated because the chosen people are so ignorant of God’s love and so many prophets have been sent by God to help them. Jesus is in front of them speaking about the kingdom of God and performing miracles and they still do not believe he is God, above all, in all, and “Blessed in he who comes in the name of the Lord”. Jesus is not afraid of any human ruler. The roman rulers were called gods, lord, savior. There is only one God, Ruler, King of Kings, Lord, Savior, and Messiah, Jesus Christ and His love will never end.
Today’s challenge: Love-be obedient, sacrifice what you want for someone else, give without receiving anything in return, help someone who cannot help you back. Love never ends, requires sacrifice, and will be the biggest regret on your death bed if you do not do it enough.
Become a saint!
Christian YODO (You Only Die Once; we will live again!)
The roman rulers were called gods, lord, savior. There is only one God, Ruler, King of Kings, Lord, Savior, and Messiah, Jesus Christ and His love will never end.Love never ends, requires sacrifice, and will be the biggest regret on your death bed if you do not do it enough.NOTHING IS MORE POWERFUL THAN THE LOVE OF GOD.
“Behold, your house will be abandoned. But I tell you, you will not see me until the time comes”, to me this means don’t leave because God is looking for you and when you leave he doesn’t know where you are.
God always knows where we are. He does require us to respond to Him, though.
The gospel says that Jesus continues on His way today and tomorrow. To me that means to keep going no matter what is happening around you. Continue with your life and be guided by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit guides you when you are lost or stuck. The Holy Spirit will put you back on your feet to keep going until it gets better.
Todays gospel tells me that no matter what God is there and he loves you.If you sin god loves you no matter what you did and that if you were the only person in the world he would die on the cross just for you.He loves you to eternity which is everlasting. So he would do anything for you because he has everlasting love for you.
Today in the gospel Jesus tells the Pharisees that he will not come again till the time is right so when he comes again we will have to be ready by praying and adoration.
Today God is telling us that we need to go and tell the Gospel while we can. Not to get scared of the people around us. Not to be scared of threats, be scared of absolutlely nothing. Push foward and tell the Gospel to the people of the world, the people who do beleice. The people who dont believe. Go out to the world.
God is telling me that Jesus yearns to take us under His wing. He yearns to take care of us, to guide us, and to love us. He yearns to be our father but we are unwilling. We reject him even though he loves us.
“Go and tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and I perform healing”s today and tomorrow, and on the third day I accomplish my purpose. Yet I must continue on my way today, tomorrow, and the following day, it is impossible that a prophet should die outside of Jerusalem.’
In today’s Gospel Jesus responds to the Pharisees. He tells them how he must continue his ministry instead of hiding from those who don’t like him. He was focused on why he came here from the very beginning and even from this Gospel which is a decent time before he was crucified he shows his fearlessness and faith in God.
In today’s gospel Jesus says “Yet I must continue on my way today, tomorrow, and the following day.” This tells us that we must do what is right even if it is hard or makes people hate us. We must strive to be like Jesus and that is one way we can do that . We should do what God tells us and God tells us to do what is right.
I think the gospel today is telling us to believe, no matter how much he did to make them believe they wouldn’t. So we have to say that we know the truth today, and that we will always know who is our God.
In the gospel, Jesus is telling the pharisees about how He will rise on the third day. He is trying to tell us how he will die and rise on the 3rd day to save us and when the time comes we shall say “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.”
I think what Jesus is trying to say is that he wants his children (us) to be together but we are unwilling but when the time comes we should be ready for him.
I love this story in the Gospel it shows how much he loves us and wants us to have a sacred place to pray. Its shows that he truly is God and know matter how many people dout him he will still fight for God and be God in our lives
“Go away, leave this area because Herod wants to kill you. “He replied, “Go and tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and I perform healings today and tomorrow, and on the third day I accomplish my purpose. Yet I must continue on my way today, tomorrow, and the following day. This stuck out to me because it tells me that Jesus is willing to do anything for us like heal us, and we should take note of that and be willing to do anything for Him.
“NOTHING IS MORE POWERFUL THAN THE LOVE OF GOD. God’s love will prevail through all eternity”. God is all powerful and he love you so always go back to God when you need help.
I can understand why Jesus would be frustrated I would also be upset if some people got in my house and started selling their things and acted like they owned the place without being respectfull in any way to me or my family.
He is telling us that we won’t be separated from him. God handed his son over for us just to die for our sins.
The entire Gospel was really good, and I didn’t know that Jerusalem was the city that all the prophets died in.
When there is proof he is true and its right in front of you, some people still do not believe. You tell them about God and your faith, make them believe.
If you were to drop right now and me God face to face what would you say? Possibly I’m sorry or forgive me or send me bake to do good but that’s just it you need to do good now so when you get there you can stay there.
“Behold, I cast out demons and I perform healings today and tomorrow, and on the third day I accomplish my purpose.
Yet I must continue on my way today, tomorrow, and the following day,for it is impossible that a prophet should die
outside of Jerusalem.” Jesus is saying even tho he is in danger he will not leave his people and will continue to do what god sent him to do.
what stuck out to me when i was reading was ¨how many times I yearned to gather your children together
as a hen gathers her brood under her wings,
but you were unwilling!
Behold, your house will be abandoned.¨.
because i feel like this is him telling us that we should not abandoned him and stay with him for every
In today’s gospel Jesus is talking to the Pharisees and says “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you.” This could be Jesus hinting at his own death while telling the Pharisees that they are murderers. I think that this means “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover” to me because on the outside Jerusalem seems holy and pure but on the inside they are the opposite.
Jesus is saying to do with our sool the same as he did with the temple and clens
#YODO
Today’s gospel is telling us Jesus doesn’t care that the pharisees wanted him to die and that he is on a higher level than them.
I noticed in the Gospel is when Jesus says “Behold I cast out demons and I preform healings today and tomorrow, and on the third day I accomplish my purpose”. which I think is a nod towards the third day He rises from the dead and completes His “purpose”.
No matter how much evidence you have about God being real, there will still be people out there ignorant enough to still not believe.
“NOTHING IS MORE POWERFUL THAN THE LOVE OF GOD.” God’s love is so powerful and more powerful then anyone in the whole world. He loves and cares for us so much because He made us and does everything, He made everything. So Pray to Him and say that you love Him too.
The pharisees were telling Jesus that he should go because Herod wanted to kill Him but He said to them that he is not afraid and all the prophets that they have killed were going to be raised on the third day.
“how many times I yearned to gather your children together
as a hen gathers her brood under her wings” This shows God yearns for us. God waits for us to repent and come back to him after we fall away. When we come back to him God walks with us side by side guiding us along the way to the gates of heaven.
“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” this is saying that nothing will break the love from God. He will continuously love us no matter what happens.
“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” What this means to me is that nothing should separate us from God and if it ever does we grow back stronger than ever and we continue to keep on growing. And that God is both human and divine.
“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:31-39. In todays Gospel Phaacsies almost want to protect Jesus by telling him to leave Jerusalem. Jesus says that the prophet cannot die outside of the holy land. I feel like this Gospel is telling us to worship God at times of danger.
Today in the gospel Jesus talks about how he will rise on the third day which also tells us how he is really true man and true God because he already talks about how he knows how he will die and when he will rise again. In the gospel Jesus tells the phrases that he casts out demons and he forgives peoples sins.
What I think the Lord is trying to tell me is to not be scared of death because like when the pharisees said to Jesus that Herod wants to kill him he was not scared because he knew this was all a part of God plan and sense Jesus was not scared we also should not be scared because Jesus is going to help us the whole way.
In today’s Gospel, Jesus said, “Behold, I cast out demons and I perform healings today and tomorrow, and on the third day I accomplish my purpose. Yet I must continue on my way today, tomorrow, and the following day, for it is impossible that a prophet should die outside of Jerusalem.'” I feel like Jesus was trying to say that he will complete his mission of coming down from Heaven to save us, no matter the cost.
“I accomplish my purpose”. To me this means that he did what he was sent to do. He rose on the third day after he died for our sins.
In today’s Gospel God is telling me that we need to not ignore but receive him and love him. To many people ignore Him and do not eat the benefits they need for Him. He should be the center of our lives and we should not fall away from having him the center of our life. He is the King and we should love him with everything.
In today’s gospel I think it’s telling me that God wants a relationship with me. God will always be there for you no matter how much you and I sin. He is a loving Father who will always cherish and want a relationship with His children. All we have to do is say yes. Saying yes to Jesus is saying yes to the kingdom of heaven.
I feel like today’s Gospel is telling us to be kind to others, to sacrifice ourselves, and to remember that “NOTHING IS MORE POWERFUL THAN THE LOVE OF GOD.”
todaqys Gospel is also about how we can love EVERYONE
“we can love God back, love others, and create new life with Him if we are blessed to do so. ”
LOVE NEVER ENDS.
But I tell you, you will not see me until the time comes when you say,
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.” I think today’s Gospel is trying to say that God always has ways of talking to us even though we aren’t in Heaven with him, but He will be able to see us face to face when we are in Heaven with him.
In todays Gospel, this remind me that Jesus want to save us. He wants us to be with Him. He loves us so much, He doesn’t event force it on us. God gives us an option.
This Scripture tells me that God is frustrated with his people. He is angry that we wont believe in him, even though he sent down so many prophets and preachers. He is angry that we don’t want to be saved. Angry that we wont accept him. So accept him. So then we can be with him eternally and be with him forever.
In todays gospel I believe that God is trying to tell us that no matter what happens , do not ignore him and keep believing in him because there will be hard times but ignoring Jesus and God will only make it worse.
In today’s Gospel Jesus says to the people “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.” The Pharisees came to Jesus to tell him to run before Herod comes and kills him. Jesus tells them that he will not leave until he is done with his mission. Jesus’s mission was to die and save us. Instead of running away He stayed in Jerusalem where He knew He would die.
I personally took away that Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord means that even if you are not starting out Catholic, anyone who dies in Catholic Faith will see heaven and will be blessed.
In the Gospel today Jesus says he yearns for us. Jesus wants his sheep back in heaven with him and rejoice. We need to gather friends and family every day to get closer to God to make it to our ultimate Goal, Heaven.
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.” Today the Gospel reminds me that God is always looking for you and he is trying to get you to follow him. If you choose to hear Gods voice and follow him, he will save you and protect you. God loves everyone one of us he just needs us to love him back and put him in the center of our lives.
This gospel tells us to always believe in Jesus. We should always believe Jesus is the truth and he has a plan for us in our lives. He only wants what is good for us and he only tells us the truth. When we read the scripture we should always interpret it into our lives and we should always remember it.
In Today’s Gospel, a group of Pharisees came to Jesus and told him that Herod was coming. He told them that he wasn’t scared of him. And He told them that He casts out demons and does all these miracles. He tells them that they will need to say “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord,” in order for Him to listen.
“Behold, I cast out demons and I perform healings today and tomorrow,
and on the third day I accomplish my purpose.” I think this line is very special because it shows that Jesus did accomplish his mission on the third day by him resurrecting from the dead. The days leading up to Jesus’s death he did heal a lot of people so what this shows is that we can all believe Jesus when he says something.
In this Gospel today, Jesus tells us that he’s always looking for us and wants us to reunite with him. Sometimes we scatter or wander away from God’s presence, and when that happens God will diligently try and search for us, but we end up just keep going farther and farther away. Today, Jesus cries out to Jerusalem that they are ignorant and kills the prophets who are helping them to change their hearts and turn to God. This message can be applied today. Sometimes, we ignore others who are trying to help us or make us feel better. So, give those people some recognition – they are helping you go back the One who loves and created you.
Something that stuck with me when i read this is that Gods Love Never Fails. The reason this stuck with me is because there are many times you will be in a dark spot and you will need someone to help you but youll realize no one can always be there for you. So God is the only option you have to get out this dark spot. when you finally accept Jesus youre filled with Love and The Holy Spirit. Just cause you accepted Jesus doesnt mean youll immediately get out your dark spot it takes some time of healing and God will help you, all you have to do is Trust and Believe. Something i could relate to this is when Jesus was walknig on water and one of the apostles went in the ocean and strated walking on water with Jesus cause he Trusted him and Believed in him but once he saw he was in the Water he started to sink and sink until he was almost under the water and Jesus Helped him out. The apostle lost his trust in him which what made him sink but God still saved him from the raging waters that was happening.
Today Jesus addresses Jerusalem. At that time Jerusalem prided itself on being “The city of God”, because the Hebrews were God’s people and Jerusalem was their capital. The pharisees in Jerusalem acted similarly as they thought themselves nearly perfect because they followed the law of Moses. Jesus revealed however that although they were clean on the outside the hearts were hard. Only Jesus is perfect so we must humble ourselves.
the pharisees were telling Jesus to go to Harod cause he wanted to kill him but Jesus said that they were wrong and all the prophecies they killed would rise on the 3rd day. nothing is more powerful than the trinity we need Jesus in our hearts
Todays Gospel is telling me that God loves us and cherishes us and he will do anything for us. It’s also telling me that we need to accept him for him to be able to do anything because so many people don’t accept Jesus when he just wants to be a part of their life.
“I yearned to gather your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings” this stuck out to me today. Jesus loves us sooo much and I find that visual examples like this make it easiest for me to think about and makes it seem like so much more when you put an example. Another thing he says is he will continue to go on his way today tomorrow and the next day this also stuck out because it means he wont stop and we shouldn’t either. He also said its impossible for a prophet to die so even though he’s not here his way will always be.
IN today gospel it has some deep meaning to me
one of them was when the were warning Jesus
to leave and not come back because somebody
wanted to kill them it reminded me that we are
followers of Christ and they devil is gonna try
and kill everlasting love with Jesus .
I think today in the Gospel God is telling me that Jesus wants all of us to be holy and come to him, but we must be willing to follow Jesus.
In today’s gospel the message I got was that God will always help us get to Heaven, but we need to also want to get there. In the gospel, Jesus said we will not see him until we say “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord” because Jerusalem would kill prophets and those sent to them by God. To me, this means that we should always want to accept the good in our lives and keep out the bad things.
God’s almighty love is more powerful than anything no matter what you do he will always love you
The scripture today is telling us to get to know and love God above all humanly things. He requires a response from us, and no matter how far we wander off from Him, He will seek us because He always knows where is sheep are and He is our Shepard.
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.” God will come when it is his time and when he knows it is. God will help you when u really need it. Not when you are just asking for something silly.
in todays gospel i think we are being told that Jesus wants the world to be united as If we are all siblings which we are because we are all children of God. Jesus is saying that he wants to gather all of his children as a hen does with her brood but we resisted.
In todays Gosple I think Jesus is trying to tell me that Gods love for us is more powerful than anything. Jesus loves us so much that he died for all of us. Jesus wont stop loving us even when we make a bad choice.
What i got from this gospel was that God we alaways love us and help us get to heaven andthat we ourselves are our greatest opstacles while on your way to Heaven. That we ourselves are the ones who make us get farther away from God.
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.” Jesus and all the prophets were not treated well. This also applies to us we will also be persecuted for our faith and we need to be strong because we are God’s chosen ones and we are holy.
In all the paragraphs it talks about love or most of them
if you define love it want you need to be a catholic
kindness
love something is a passion-Jesus
enjoyment on read bible going to church
In todays Gospel Jesus is saying that we all are called to go to heaven but you have to be good and go to mass and confession. We all are sinners but we need to forgive God for our faults. Some Pharisees said that someone wanted to kill Jesus but he says that he casts out demons and that no one will die. This shows us that he is our leader and we need to follow him.
Today’s Gospel is telling me that Jesus doesn’t care that Herod wants to kill him and is also saying that it is impossible for him to die.
In today’s Gospel, Jesus tells us that if you want him to die he doesn’t care. He doesn’t because he will live and thrive!
in today’s gospel what really stuck with me was that god tries to reach us. god wants us to see him and the good things he does for us, but in reality we’re blind to him. its not that we cant see; which is the case for some but its the fact that we put a spiritual blindfold over our faces, even if you say “oh I don’t” and “I’ve never done that” most likely everyone has and over half still do. that’s why Jesus was so frustrated, it was because people who were chosen didn’t want to see, they didn’t want to hear Jesus talk about God; they didn’t care. this hurt him, and he was frustrated because he knew of his fathers love for his people. we need to open our hearts to him. reach deep down inside of yourself and pull the chains off; by yourself. rip the blindfold of your eyes and see the wonders and gorgeous sights he gives. God will always climb the mountain to get to you no matter who you are, what you’ve done, and how you feel for him. even if you don’t believe God is there, he is yearning for you. so why not try to climb the mountain too? God will be waiting there for you at the top of the mountain, and when you finally get there he’ll embrace you and you’ll see the beauty you could’ve never had or seen anywhere else.
Behold, your house will be abandoned. But I tell you, you will not see me until the time comes when you say, Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.”
I feel He is saying that without him we will be empty, but if we believe in him and follow him, we will join Him in the Kingdom of heaven.
what stuck out to me was
“but how many times I yearned to gather you children together
as a hen gathers her brood under her wings
but you were unwilling!’
I think this stuck out to me because Jesus Is always trying to get you to go to mass, and whenever you do not listen, you were unwilling to go because it meant that you would have to take time out of your Sunday. but I know that Jesus will never stop trying to gather us together, and he will always come looking for us, even if we are the 1 out of 100 that is lost.
The part of the Gospel that stuck out to me today was the part when Jesus says, “Yet I must continue on my way today, tomorrow, and the following day”. This means to me that we should continue on our journey to Heaven and God to the best of our abilities everyday of our lives.
In the Gospel the pharisees told Jesus that Herod is trying to kill Jesus but Jesus told them he’s not scared of them.
Jesus is there for you no matter what and sometimes you are in a time in your life where you dont feel love, Jesus is there wants you you to know he is loved and he cherishes time with you
The way that the scripture is said surprised me very much.
Jesus was telling us his destiny about how it was impossible for him to die outside of Jerusalem also meaning that he was going to die in Jerusalem
