Humbly submit your will to God (thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.

On a sabbath Jesus went to dine
at the home of one of the leading Pharisees,
and the people there were observing him carefully.
In front of him there was a man suffering from dropsy.
Jesus spoke to the scholars of the law and Pharisees in reply, asking,
“Is it lawful to cure on the sabbath or not?”
But they kept silent; so he took the man and,
after he had healed him, dismissed him.
Then he said to them
“Who among you, if your son or ox falls into a cistern,
would not immediately pull him out on the sabbath day?”
But they were unable to answer his question. Lk 14:1-6

Jesus teaches us that it is more important to love than to follow rules if the rules are unjust.  Rules are important and keep order.  God brings order and how to live a rightly ordered life to us. If laws or rules go against our faith or conscience than they are not to be followed.  The heart of today’s Gospel is Jesus reaffirming He is God. He is telling these Pharisees and us that He has authority over the law. God’s love is the most powerful thing in the world. May we regain the Jesus Shock. May we remember Jesus is not dead, He resurrected and is fully alive right here right now. The same Man who has authority over the law and loves you more than you love yourself. He is sacrificing Himself behind bread and wine waiting to give us numerous graces for the daily battle. Waiting for you to come to Him in prayer. May we submit to this authority which is love and allow Him to rule our lives for the sake of others and His Kingdom.

Today’s challenge: Pray for religious freedom, an end to abortion, and suffer with Jesus today the day He died for us. Be compassionate! Allow Jesus to transform you!

Be a servant, become a saint!
