Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Herod the tetrarch heard about all that was happening,
and he was greatly perplexed because some were saying,
“John has been raised from the dead”;
others were saying, “Elijah has appeared”;
still others, “One of the ancient prophets has arisen.”
But Herod said, “John I beheaded.
Who then is this about whom I hear such things?”
And he kept trying to see him. Lk 9:7-9
Today, Luke begins to write about the identity of Jesus and he uses Herod as the person who is “perplexed” about what the people were saying. The identity of Jesus will be revealed in the coming Gospel readings. The question I would like to pose today is who is Jesus for you? Is He a slot machine where you put petitions in and expect Him to grant your every wish in return? Do we sin knowing we can just go to confession so it is no big deal because Jesus will forgive us (sin of presumption)? Have we ever read one of the Gospels beginning to end in search of the identity of Jesus? It is one thing to know about Jesus and another to know Jesus.
Most importantly, do we spend time in adoration with Jesus listening to what He has to say? Jesus is about to reveal His identity in the upcoming Gospel readings. Listen to what He says and decide if you really believe. If so, it requires a radical change in your life. As a baptized believer in Jesus Christ our duty is to reject Satan and follow Jesus more closely each day (strive for holiness). Jesus gave all for you, are you willing to give all for Him? He wants to give you true happiness.
Today’s challenge: Christianity is a religion that is a relationship with a person not a set of rules to follow. If you are searching for true happiness, seek Jesus the God Man. Take time each day to listen to Him.
Be a servant, become a saint!
#Christian YOLO
The identity of Jesus is different and special for everyone to discover and be saved by.
In the gospel today i hear that Herod didnt realize that it was Jesus who had come to earth. So when he heard John he thought of the one he killed.
I think this is trying to say that we don’t put enough focus into Jesus when he’s trying to communicate with us prayer. We always act like we’re too busy for Jesus, but we really aren’t.
The thing I got out of this gospel is that God is near when we need him him. If you are struggling then he will always be there and guide you to the path that he planned out for you. We should always look for God and pray to him when we are in need.
As Catholics we believe that the Eucharist is truly Jesus in the form of bread. Talking to Jesus is really peaceful because you always know he’s there and whenever you need someone you can go to Him like a friend.
This tells me that we need to pay more attention to God and listen to what he has to say. We ignore what Jesus says and we need to spend time with him getting to know him and what he has planned for us because we are always distracted thinking about something else.
Every one is unsure about who was raised from the dead. Those who believed in him knew who he was. I think Jesus didn’t reveal himself to everyone because that’s not what faith is about. It’s not about seeing, you don’t need faith to see what is in front of you. It’s about taking a chance.
I know Jesus through the Sacraments. I can really feel His presence inside of me after Holy Communion. Also, after Confession, I can feel Jesus coming back into me through my clean soul.
Harod was confused how all the news came out from people. We can be confused about things also. We should go to adoration or Mass to talk to God so we know what we are to do and the right way to do it.
When you ask God something he will do it. When you pray to Jesus he gives you very subtle hints that he is there. Some of the hints are that you are at peace you are not thinking of anything but God. When you are in this peace everything is clearer.
This is interesting, hearing Luke use Herod as a figure who is confused by this Jesus. Herod doesn’t know Jesus, he simply knows about Jesus. We however, have the opportunity to Know Jesus, and his endless Mercy. We need to know Jesus, as it is important for us to get to heaven. I can’t say that I know Jesus, but I try every day to be the best I can be, to do what He wants me to do. If I can do that, then I think that I might be able to know Jesus.
How do I know Jesus? I know him by coming to him with my problems in life and giving them up to him. I know him by praying to him. I know him by just being in the presence of God.
Jesus is the man who is THERE. The guy who is always there waiting for people to come to Him. He’s ready for you. So go to Him.
If the Lord were to come to us, would we recognize Him? Or would we turn away? If we knew the Lord, we would come, but if we only knew about the Lord, but did not know Him, we would be no better than hypocrites. Why only know about a person and love them, rather than know the person and love them? The Lord calls His sheep, and we shall follow.
All of are sinners but that doesn’t mean we cant hear God or live like he did
All of are sinners but that doesn’t mean we cant hear God or live like he did.
We need to learn how to talk to Jesus and he will reward us with a clean soul and fulfillment.
What i got from this scripture was the Jesus died for us on the cross and then rises from the dead. He did this for US. The only way to truly know and hear God is listening to his Gospel. Jesus is the light. Our job as Catholics is to spread the good news. We wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for him.
Jesus can make anything possible.
No. I don’t really know Jesus, and this year I’m ready to learn about him more.
Yes I know Jesus because he is always here for us like a friend. He help me in hard times like on test to try to do my best. He will always be here for us even if we don’t want him here for us.
Knowing Jesus is a reward and getting to talk to him in adoration is a really cool thing to do and seeing him in Mass.
I do know Jesus because everywhere I go he will be there with me. He will forgive me if I do something wrong and he will stay with me no matter what.
I know Jesus through everyone I know and every thing I do. We also encounter him through the sacraments, especially communion.
I know Jesus through prayer. I know that he has helped through rough times like when the pandemic first hit. When wars happened or happen. I know he helps guide our school leaders to make good decisions.
just becasue we cant or see God doesent mean Hes not with us. we arent supposed to envy the people who can.
We shouldn’t take God’s and Jesus’ forgiveness for granted, we should try to remain as close to him as possible and remain holy to have eternal life with him.
I know Jesus through reading the Bible and praying. The Bible has Jesus’s words in it. Prayer is listening and talking to God. I talk to Jesus like I do to my friends. I tell him my problems, things I struggle with, and things i am grateful for. When I read the Bible, Jesus is giving me advice my talking to me through the Gospels.
We get to know Jesus through receiving the Eucharist, praying, and going to confession. By receiving the Eucharist, we become closer to Jesus. By praying, we get to spend time personally talking to Him, and going to confession helps us build a stronger relationship with Him.
In this reading it is asking me how I know Jesus. I know Jesus through prayer, the mass, and the Bible. In prayer I talk to him as if I was talking to my parents or best friend. This helps me to know more about him. In the mass, I receive the Eucharist. When I receive Jesus, I am overflowed with his love. The Bible, teaches me about his great miracles, reading, and great acts of love he did for us.
Jesus loves us so much and we can get to know Him if we try to listen. He tries to reveal Himself to us, and do we listen? Do we talk to Him and listen for His responses? Jesus loves so much and if we sin, He will forgive us. That doesn’t mean that we can sin, and let it be okay just because of His forgiveness.
Jesus reaches out to us when we are willingly in his presence. So in Mass, He communicates with us during Communion. When we actually want to listen and talk to God, we will be able to hear his responses. It doesn’t have to be verbal communication to be real. I know Jesus in the Eucharist and the Mass where we worship Him. It is not like how a best friend knows their other friend’s favorite color, but it’s a spiritual connection with God himself.
i know jesus through my parent grandparents and my great grandparents they have brought the lord to me and that is the the best thing that has happened to me and the reason why is that he is my life my soul and he is everything to me and everybody around me. that is why jesus came down fore us GOD loved us and so he sent his only son to dye and suffer for our souls and that is why my faith is important because it has meaning it has the truth. the way of jesus can totally change your life and that is great.
I know Jesus in prayer. I try to talk to Him at mass and get to know more about Him.
Jesus is always with us and waiting for us to truly believe in him. He will always be with us from our first breath to our last. So really try and understand him and know him.
I know Jesus by faith and prayer. Jesus talks to me everyday and I learn more about Him as I go on. When I pray I know He is listening He always is with us no mater what. If you fall from the faith He is still with you. Trying to get you on the right path to Heaven. You may think Jesus is not talking to you, but you just have to listen.
I know Jesus from the Eucharist and in prayer also I know him through the bible with the 30 day Scripture page and through the Holy Mass.
I know Jesus because I read the bible every night. Jesus died for our sins so we could have eternal life and I thank Him for that. For me Jesus is the Lord/King. He is the way, the truth, and the life. He will help me trough Conformation and He has things happen for a reason. He is are Farther. He looks out for us. When we sin He forgives us. When we fall He picks us up and we try and try again. Jesus is a friend and He’s got the whole world in His hands. We should be respectful to Jesus so that we can go up the Heaven and meet Jesus Christ. Not go to Hell and meet the Devil. We should always go to mass to present ourselves to Jesus cause when we do, He fills our hearts will the Holy Spirit and Joy.
In this Gospel verse it shows that Herod is determined to do anything for power. He will kill do anything for his own self satisfaction. Many of us are like this today. We make fun of people, bully, make sure someone feels bad, anything to bring us satisfaction, and to make us feel confindent or powerful. This may make you feel good, but it is not satisfaction. True satisfaction is with Jesus. You may have many friends, but none of your friends can add up to Jesus. Not even your best friend. Jesus gave up his life for us! Its because of that great love, holiness and sacrifice. Jesus wants to be friends with us, but we cant be friends with him if we don’t stay close with him. You will never have a true friendship with Christ if you do not talk to him. He is more than a best friend, he is our savior! We should put all of our trust in him because nothing matches to that great loyal kindness he has! Nothing in this world is better than his friendship! So stay close with him because he will guide you along the way. He will never leave you alone. So become best friends, and put all your trust in him.
I know Jesus by reading about him in the goshpel and going to mass and religion class.
How do I know that God is real? Think about it this way, how do you know that the wind is real you can’t see the wind but you hear the wind, you can’t see it but you can feel it and you can’t see it but you can see it blowing other things. Now really focus how do you know that God is real you can’t see God but you hear him, you cant see him but you can feel his holy presents, and you cant see God but you can see him touching your heart. Now God is always with you it wight be hard to believe but if got wasn’t thinking about you constintly you wouldn’t be alive right know.
Jesus is a person waiting to be discovered. He is a person of great love and sacrifice. He is a person of great compassion and mercy. However, too many people take His works for granted. They say, “well, oh yeah. He did that for me, but whatever. I don’t care. I’m too comfortable or too ‘happy’.” To truly experience Jesus, it takes our whole self. It can’t be a “I go to Church”, if our minds are wandering the entire time. It can’t be a “I read the Bible” or “I do good deeds and give to the poor” if we’re doing them for the sake of someone’s praise. No, to actually experience Jesus, we must be willing to do what He did for us. Sacrifice. Sacrifice ourselves, our possessions, even our struggles, anything to Him. He is the ultimate center of our life if we let Him be. I personally think that whenever I am giving myself up, I feel the closest to God. I allow myself to put myself in his hands. I allow myself to accept Him as my Father. When I do that, nothing else matters. It’s God’s plan now. Not mine. His, and always His.
“And he kept trying to see him.” Herod was an evil man. He beheaded John the Baptist, and probably killed many other people. But he kept trying to see Jesus. Now, it probably wasn’t out of love of Jesus, but out of curiosity, But if a murderer and a tryrant keeps trying to see Jesus, can’t we, who (hopefully) are much better that Herod, make an effort to “keep trying to see Jesus.” We see him through prayer, through the Mass, in the bible. We hear his teachings every week, and yet, to many times we say “I’m busy” of “I don’t feel like it” when it comes to seeing Jesus, treating him like a person. If you wouldn’t ever see your friend because “I don’t feel like it” than we are not good friends. Some many times I feel that I don’t think of Jesus as person, but as an object. He is a person, and He is alive. That is how we no him, by making a conscious effort to love him. A relationship goes south if you don’t love the other person, so the same will happen when it comes loving Jesus. You need to love him first because through love you are able to talk, to pray to him. So please love him, as a person and not an object or an idea.
I know God is real because he died on the cross for us, what other man would die on the cross and make up this story for us and our sins. Having faith and believing Jesus is real is just realizing all he has done for us, die on the cross for our sins so we can receive his body in the sacrament of the Eucharist.
I know Jesus through the Eucharists and adoration. I know him the most in communion and adoration because I can feels him trying to knock on my soul and for me to let him in. All that I need to do is open up my heart and soul and let him come in and talk to me the way that he wants me to.
If you ask me, this scripture reflection says to me that we all need to be ready for when we hear the word, not to think that it is just another lie. We need to believe it for a little bit, do some research on it, then we can decide whether we want to follow it or not.
Jesus to me is someone to talk to. He is always there for me no matter what. He is always thinking about all of us. He always forgives us no matter how many times we betray Him. He, to me, is a loving and caring God.
Jesus is my savior. Jesus saved me and many others as well from our original sin, and gave us a chance to live in eternity with him after this life. Jesus loves us, so much that he became human to live and to die for us. He is always there when you want to talk and listen to him in prayer.
What I got from this scripture is that Jesus died on the cross taking in all our sins. He also rose from the dead because he loves US. Jesus speaks to US in the bible and the gospels He’s trying to get US to know Him and praise him. He loves us no matter what we do to him or how bad we make a Sin.
I see Jesus as my guardian. I see Him like He is someone I trust and tells me that I am not alone. Jesus is someone who I love the most. He will be with me in everything I go through. Jesus will always be there for me just like our parents would be there for us throughout our entire life.
I know Jesus because whenever I’m asking for help I go to him first usually. I think Jesus wants us all to go to him in tough times sometimes I don’t and sometimes I know I can but I still don’t. I also know Jesus because whenever i get lucky or something good happens in my life I like to thank God because I believe everything happens due to God and it is all his plan. I also know him because the time we spend in adoration, I usually pray a Rosary, or at least 2 or 3 decades of it most the time.
I think this is saying that we use Jesus as a object saying that we can do it because Jesus will forgive us right? He can grant us the wish as long as we pray for it right? No, we are just using Jesus and not paying enough attention to him. We need to identify who he is and listen to what he has to say. We don’t listen to Jesus enough and we just use him for what we want.
I know Jesus by praying to him everyday and when I receive the Eucharist I feel his presence. Also when I leave confession I leave with a smile because I have felt Jesus remove my sins and its the best feeling ever. He is always watching over me and protecting me and I am so grateful that he died for me.
Jesus is my creator. He makes the sun rise every day. If Jesus is powerful enough to give me the gift of today. Then I can give him something back. I can offer my day to Jesus and try my best, with the help of the Holy Spirit, to do Gods will.
Today, the Identity of Jesus is questioned by the people. Who is Jesus was a big question it seems in the days when he walked. People didn’t understand him, people were confused. How could he do these things. They thought he was a great prophet, or that he was Elijah, or Elisha. Now we know that Jesus is not a great prophet, he is the greatest being to ever walk this Earth. Prophets were just men, Jesus is a man, and he is God. Jesus is everything and anything
I know Jesus through the Eucharist and prayer. I know that I am with Jesus especially when I’m praying because I know that he is listening to me and is right there with me answering my prayers.
Jesus to me is… a person who I can trust is there for me always. He is someone I can turn to and tell everything without holding back. All my secrets, sorrows, and I can share my joys. He understands me perfectly. I love going to Him in my happy place and to meet him in just blissful silence. When we do, I can relax and give it all up.
Jesus to me is someone who I can always count on. Jesus is that shoulder we can lean on when we feel disheartened. We are not truly alone in this world. I know that He is waiting for us in Heaven. We shouldn’t feel confused as to who He is. We know Him and He knows us.
Jesus listens to you. You can tell Him anything and He listens every time. You might not always get the reply you want, but it will be better for you in the long run.
I know Jesus the best in stations of the cross and the sacraments the best because I can feel Him touching my heart in a special way.
To me, Jesus is someone that I can come to whatever I’m feeling. I know more and more by having a relationship with him and having a daily prayer life. Today, Herod is confused because he is hearing things that he doesn’t understand. Herod wants to be the high king and know everything, but Jesus didn’t mean for that to happen. We can learn from him and let God lead our lives.
I feel closest to Jesus in the silence, and in silent prayer. To me he is like the one person I can tell everything to and he will not ridicule me, or laugh at me, or tell anyone, he will just give me advice and listen. I’ve heard people say that Jesus doesn’t actually speak to them, but to me he does, and I think that is a very special blessing, and he doesn’t always say words of wisdom or anything, he will laugh, and ask how my day has been, or what my goal is for the day.
I know Jesus because i have loved him and he has rewarded me when I worship him or do something good. He is always there for me to talk to him and pray to him.
I believe todays Gospel is telling us of all the appearences and that we should be happy and joyful when God makes his second coming.
I know Jesus because he died on the cross for me and everyone else. I know Jesus because hes always there for me no matter if i have sinned not matter what i have or what i will do Jesus will love me forever. Jesus is the way thats how I know Jesus.
Jesus to me is somebody I can talk to and trust. He is always there for me when nobody else is.
I know Jesus especially when we do Jam for the Lamb. I witness him the most when we sing altogether in the gym as a school. I also feel the most connected to him when I pray to him by myself and it is all silent and I truly mean what I say to him.
I know Jesus and how he was a kid, teenager, and adult and how he acted against people that didn’t like him or just thought he was different. I have learned all of the information about Jesus by listening closely to the songs in church by scripture reflection, and by reading the bible at home. We can also learn about what Jesus went through by doing the Stations and reading about the Mysteries
How do I know Jesus? I know him because he is my one and only savior who died on the cross for me, even though he knew that I would betray him over and over and over again. Whenever I receive the Eucharist I truly feel the presence of Jesus and it makes me feel like I am loved and protected.
Talking to Jesus and really knowing him is like getting to hang out with the nicest friend ever and whenever you get to hangout with them you have a fun time and you want to see them again as soon as possible. Jesus is so kind and relatable to us. That was one of the reasons that God sent Jesus to earth, to be a perfect model of holiness to us. He is the person that you can tell anything even if they have already heard the story. Through prayer we can become the best of friends with Him and he will get you on the path to eternal life.
For me I know Jesus through Communion, Confession, Mass, and through the Bible. Jesus has been in my life since I was little, but once I was in second grade I started paying attention to Him even more. He is here to guide me through my life. I trust in Him in the things I do.
I know Jesus because he has given me everything in life and I can’t thank him enough for what he does for me. It is incomprehensible how much I thank and need to adore Jesus for every little thing that he has done for me. That is why you need to take things serious when talking about Jesus.
In my eyes Jesus is our savior. He saved us while we still don’t accept him to this day. He is someone who I want to love but i am afraid to because I don’t want to be made fun of. I sing in church with the crowd but would I do it by myself. When I first came to this school I had never been to a worship ceremony in my school. Jamb for the Lamb was the best thing ever. I figured going to the catholic school I would be able to sing for Christ. It turns out it decreased to little to none because of how others would think of me. In 4th grade I sang a lot and people noticed and they were glad I sang. Why should we stop though. Me personally, I have stopped that I lost the voice I once had all because I am afraid. This is what Jesus wants us to give to him. He wants us to give him our shame and fear because it holds us back and what happens when we are set free is a gift and it is because of our Savior GOD!
Who is Jesus to you? This question applies to me in a variety of ways. Not only is he a Friend, but he is also a Brother. A Father. He is there to help me up when I fall, and to love me when I feel unloved. To heal me when I am sick or injured, and to lift me up when I am down.
I know Jesus by hearing him in prayer and mass because that when i fell closest to him
Jesus is someone who looks after us even when we are distrustful to our parents and to others and we are rude to people. Jesus is still with us through all that and this tells us that no matter what we do Jesus is still with us. Although Jesus is with us, he is also like a teacher who hovers over you checking to see what you do and what bad and good things you do, so if we do Prayer and read Scripture, and go to Church on Sundays like we are supposed to then Jesus will see us doing what he was expecting us to do which first of all gives us a higher chance of getting to heaven and it also will give us a better relationship with Jesus and God.
I feel like the time when I really know Jesus would be when I’m saying my prayer before bed. I just like to reflect on the day and think about what gifts Jesus has given me today. I try and be thankful for everything that Jesus has done. I feel like would should all be more thankful and take time to self reflect so we can know Jesus.
I know I can always look up to Jesus, he will me get through all my struggles. I know he’s present with everyday and that I can do anything with him by my side. Jesus can do anything in the world, I know he will always help me grow in the Catholic faith. He is with me dear in my heart and I hope I don’t disappoint him.
In the Gospel today it is trying to tell us that we should believe in what he is saying. Even if it sounds impossible it is possible because it is God.
I know God is fully divine with the eucharist and in the way I pray to him in my daily life
I know Jesus through quiet prayer with him. I feel close to him when I spend time with Him. To me this Scripture is saying that we might think we know Jesus, but it turns out we really are bad Catholics, we aren’t fully devoted to God, and we just know OF Jesus.
the be like jesus
I know Jesus through prayer. I everytime I pray at mass or at the crucifix or anywhere, I am encountering Jesus with my whole heart and soul. I also know him through the holy Eucharist, when I consume him.
I know Jesus through the sacraments. Every time we receive communion we already have a better relationship with Jesus. After reconciliation we are cleansed from our sins by Jesus.
I know Jesus because he saved me from dying when I was ten months old, and I have been feeling that He has heard my prayers when I pray to him.
I know Jesus through prayer. I talk to him whenever I am praying and when I am at Mass. I also know him when I receive him at Mass.
I really only know Jesus because through prayer and talking to him. I can talk to him and tell him what is wrong and what had happened. To me he is almost just like a friend who is always willing to listen to me.
I know Jesus through adoration and through the Eucharist at mass. I truly know him the most in adoration and communion because I can feel God truly trying to get into me and my soul. Sometimes, I don´t let him in because I am distracted. All that I need to do is open my soul to be willing to let him come talk to me and spend time together. God is an amazing friend, but I get to distracted to even get to talk to someone so amazing.
I know Jesus because he is always there for me. And he always with us and watches us. He is like a best friend to everyone. He is always there where your down. And still stays with you even when you dont pay attention to him. He is not just some person He is a person that you should love like you love your mom or siblings or pets.
I know Jesus through quiet adoration in the church and receiving communion, he also assists with many of the questions I have about the world and difficult problems I may or have run into.
I know Jesus from thing like praise and worship or the sacraments I have received from him. I have always know Jesus even if I might not have realized it. Like when I was a baby I might not have realized that I was in the House of God but I was still there.
How I know Jesus is that he died on the cross for our sins. I also know him because I feel him with me all the time. The last reason is when I read my bible and say my prayers.
I don’t really understand what this scripture is about. The cross of Christ to me means how selfless Jesus was to sacrifice his life for us. It is really special to me to put others before you.
Many people have different ways of knowing Jesus, but mostly everyone’s is different. My way of knowing Jesus is to pray to him and ask him, “What is my purpose?” I also know Jesus by talking to him everyday and especially in Mass and during prayer time. I try to not demand Jesus for something and when I do I feel bad most of the time, so this shows me that I should try and learn how to know Jesus better.
I know Jesus through the Mass when I recive him every day so far since sever training. When I eat His body it just taste like bread, but I know its Him. Also during quiet prayer my body tingles and I feel his presence.
I think that this story is telling us to pay more attention to God in prayer and do not just zone out when you are talking to him so you actualy know what you are talking to him about.
I know Jesus from my experiences with pain. I ask him to take some of the pain away, and when I am focused on him, it lessens. He has always been there for me to lessen my pain, sorrow, anger, and even my anxiety about whether I believe in him. For a while, I wasn’t sure. But then I started to notice the little things. How my older brother was sending me devotionals that helped to clear things up. That helped me to understand more about Jesus. How my parents were giving me small gifts. How our family maid made my room even though she didn’t have to, and often made art with the paper towel. How my friends were always there for me to make me laugh. Once I started to notice these things, I knew that Jesus was telling me how much he loves me. Just through these little acts. Once I saw these little things, it brought me to believe. Jesus is my father, and I am his princess.
Jesus’ identity differs for all Catholics. Some perceptions of Christ are morally better than others. A common misunderstanding of Christ from a large amount of Catholics is that Jesus is like a machine. You insert a wish and he just magically fulfills it for you. This isn’t a spiritually healthy mindset about Jesus. As Catholics, we should strive to see Jesus as a friend who you can talk to about anything. Jesus is real, he exists. If it’s not okay to treat humans like they’re machines then it’s definitely not okay to treat the creator and savior of the universe like a machine.
Jesus to me is a friend I can tell everything. He is always there no matter what even if you hurt Him. That is why it’s important to build a relationship with Him and talk to Him every day.
We all know about Jesus but we don’t realize what he does for us. He helps everyday in little ways. He can speak to you when you most need it like He did for me.
Jesus reflects himself on us, I know Jesus by the gracious words people say. Jesus is around me in my friends and family.
To me Jesus is a person I want to get closer to. Not to just know him as a person. But to know him as a friend. I am still working on my relationship with him and I hope to get closer.
It is saying we should be thankful for God. We should also be kind too others
I should know Jesus fully. I should truly believe that God is Jesus, the person who created everything. I know Jesus is in the poor and in everyone. Jesus is not a prophet. Jesus is not John the Baptist. Jesus is God.
I know God but want to know him better. I know he shows us miracles to help us stay in touch with him.
To me, this means that Jesus is a mystery. There are all these rumors about these great people, but Herod can’t figure it out what they mean. Especially John, who he beheaded.
Jesus wants us to not sin and believe in him, unlike Herod. He beheaded John because he didn’t like Jesus and he wanted to be more powerful, but when John rose form the dead he didn’t believe.
This scripture tells me that Jesus is with us. He is always listening and you need to listen to him with your whole heart because he knows whats good.
Herod did not realize that it was the son of man who came down to earth. Every one thought that it was a prophet that had come back from the dead but Jesus was the one fulfilling the prophecy not the one telling them.
Jesus is my king, my savior because I know I wouldn’t be here without Him, He died on the cross for all of us and I could not have any chance to making it to heaven without Him
To me Jesus is kind caring and a good friend. He is always there for you no madder what. He loves you so much. I am always trying to get closer to Him, and be the best person I can be.
this scripute is telling us like how we should be praying more for others and like trust that everthing will go okay
Jesus is my savior and the savior of the world. I may slip up sometimes but I know that I will be ok because he died on the cross for my sins and I can go to confession
I know Jesus because he is my savior and my guardian. one of the ways i talk to him is that I pray and go to adoration, and Mass. I think my relationship with Jesus is super good.
