Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
The wicked said among themselves,
thinking not aright:
“Let us beset the just one, because he is obnoxious to us;
he sets himself against our doings,
Reproaches us for transgressions of the law
and charges us with violations of our training.
He professes to have knowledge of God
and styles himself a child of the LORD.
To us he is the censure of our thoughts;
merely to see him is a hardship for us,
Because his life is not like that of others,
and different are his ways.
He judges us debased;
he holds aloof from our paths as from things impure.
He calls blest the destiny of the just
and boasts that God is his Father.
Let us see whether his words be true;
let us find out what will happen to him.
For if the just one be the son of God, he will defend him
and deliver him from the hand of his foes.
With revilement and torture let us put him to the test
that we may have proof of his gentleness
and try his patience.
Let us condemn him to a shameful death;
for according to his own words, God will take care of him.”
These were their thoughts, but they erred;
for their wickedness blinded them,
and they knew not the hidden counsels of God;
neither did they count on a recompense of holiness
nor discern the innocent souls’ reward. WIS 2:1, 12-22
Jesus moved about within Galilee;
he did not wish to travel in Judea,
because the Jews were trying to kill him.
But the Jewish feast of Tabernacles was near.
But when his brothers had gone up to the feast,
he himself also went up, not openly but as it were in secret.
Some of the inhabitants of Jerusalem said,
“Is he not the one they are trying to kill?
And look, he is speaking openly and they say nothing to him.
Could the authorities have realized that he is the Christ?
But we know where he is from.
When the Christ comes, no one will know where he is from.”
So Jesus cried out in the temple area as he was teaching and said,
“You know me and also know where I am from.
Yet I did not come on my own,
but the one who sent me, whom you do not know, is true.
I know him, because I am from him, and he sent me.”
So they tried to arrest him,
but no one laid a hand upon him,
because his hour had not yet come. JN 7:1-2, 10, 25-30
Jesus, let us not allow our wickedness to blind us and our thoughts to err. Sometimes, we do not open our hearts to the Lord because we do not want to change and we want to be in control or we falsely believe we are in control. We know very well who Jesus is and where He is from. We have read the Scriptures many times. Jesus, send us your grace to read the Scriptures on our own and reflect on them to develop a personal relationship with you. “Now is the time of salvation”. 2 Cor 6:2
Lord, help us to be wise and change our ways. May we recognize our sin for what it is and stop denying it. Help us to become weak before you so we will open our hearts and allow the Light to enter and make us strong, your grace (God’s life in us). Teach us the Truths that the Father sent you to tell us, so that we may change and become holy and have eternal life. Amen.
Today’s challenge: Don’t allow yourself to be blind and err. Allow Jesus the Light of the world into your heart. Deny yourself and follow Christ. Take time to get to know Jesus, what He said, and what He did for us. The rewards are eternal!
Be a servant, become a saint!

This shows us that God will take care of us if we let him.
Though we don’t know everything about what God wants us to do He challenges us to become a child of His, and He wants us to bond with each other to get to know Him better.
I should be proud of of God like jesus was.
In todays gospel God is telling me that in life when someone does something bad to you we must forgive them. Even though we want to do bad things back to them because they did bad thing to us. We need to fight the temptation to fight back. God wants us to forgive.
We did not choose to be born but God made us. He made us specially and has a plan for us. So when life gets hard we have to keep our chins up and pray because God has a plan and everything will be okay.
Today the scripture is telling me that what God and Jesus did is the most important thing to have ever happened and will ever happen. So important that no one who wanted any sort of harm on Jesus couldn’t even touch Him. That is astounding and it really puts Jesus’s actions into perspective.
Jesus is not with the culture in his time and his own. He wants us to follow him on a path to holiness and not the path of the worldly.
I think this is saying that Jesus always knows what is right for us. Sometimes, we don’t want to change our bad habits even though we know we should, we just don’t want to. Jesus knows exactly what’s right for us and exactly what will make us happy. We should have to trust him, instead of distancing and pushing him away.
What I took from this gospel is that we need to see that God is here with us. God has always been here for us, and we need to see that. Everyone thinks that He doesn’t care, he doesn’t look out for his people, or he is never there for me, but he is. God has always and will always be there for you. He makes you go through that because he loves you and the whole time you are suffering, he is there guiding you. He is there, we just need to see that.
God will do anything for us today the scripture talked about one of the most important thing God will do. He cares so much that he will die on the cross for us. When Jesus dies on the cross he did not care about his suffering but all or the other people. we should strive to do the same and be less selfish.
In today’s gospel, the people are trying to persecute Jesus, but realize that he is speaking openly and not resisting against them. They questioned that he may be the real Christ. I need to practice doing what is right when others are not.
The people didn’t believe in Jesus. Sometimes we can forget to believe in Jesus. Sometimes we go threw the motions at totally forget that Jesus is with us. We need to remember what Jesus did for us.
“To us he is the censure of our thoughts; merely to see him is a hardship for us, Because his life is not like that of others, and different are his ways.” This is how we should regard Jesus. He is our Heavenly father. He is our king. We should always follow him and his ways. He is good.
We have to be open to new things. Its important because other people in the world might have more to offer us. Those things might also help us on our path to Heaven.
God built a home for us to be happy with Him. He sees everything and always knows the truth. We can’t hide anything from Him no matter how much you want to. We need to try our very best to be good for Him.
Everyone’s time will come when the Lord wills it. To go against it is to ask for death to come to us. If the Lord’s will is for us to have the fullness of life in it, will we follow that call? Or would we have the short-term benefit of this life and suffer what is to come? If the Lord were to judge this day, what would He stay to us? Stay aware, for you know neither the time nor the hour the Lord will come.
This Gospel is Jesus’s example of how society will reject us for our faith. We could just choose to give in, but then, we would be rejecting our faith. We need to stay strong, even if we are shunned and rejected.
Do not test the Lord.
In today’s scripture we read how the world needs God more than ever. If we keep ignoring him we are going to have bad consequences. Start going to confession and Mass more because God has been warning us that He is coming.
This means that God will always lead us anywhere we go and be with us where ever you are in your life.
What reached out to me was, “Let us condemn him to a shameful death”. What this means to me is that Jesus sacrificed himself for us. He went through a tormenting process for us. So whenever we’re struggling to do something simple such as going to Sunday mass just think, what I’m struggling to do now is nothing compared to what Jesus struggled to do for us.
This scripture passage tells us that Jesus has been sent by God the Father to us. Jesus proves that He is God because He tells them that He was sent by God. Another thing this Gospel tells us about is that there is a right time for everything. Jesus was not arrested at that moment because His time has not come. We should trust Jesus because He has everything timed perfectly.
In this scripture it is telling us that god should be the center of our life To us he is the censure of our thoughts¨ God is the most loving, kind, generous God! if we know this then why do we always put others before God? Well we do this because we might feel embarrassed. Don ´ t be embarrassed because God is the most important thing in our life! Put God first and you will rejoice and be happy for ever and ever!
In today’s scripture, “For if the just one be the son of God, he will defend him” stuck out to me because it seems kike everyone is excepting a sign from God for proof why we should believe in God. When we really should just be able to pray and fast without a sigh we all need to believe that God will be there for us.
The Jews had a fixed idea of what the savior sent by God would be like, and even after the miracles, they still abide by them. Although I do admire their faith, I do wish they understood that their assumptions where not proven to be true by God, so I don’t understand why they believed that what they thought was the absolute truth. Because they thought this, Jesus was prosecuted as a result.
This scripture is saying how sin blind us so that we can´t see all the bad things because when were all born we were born with that blindness and now since we are older we can go to confession but even though we go to confession we still sin it also saying when like Jesus came know recognized him and so for that we reason more fall away we sin more that we should try to get closer and not try to sin.
Jesus is here to protect us from sin. His mission is to guide us away from sin into Heaven. In order for His to help us he has to be willing. We have to open our hearts. Some of us don’t open our hearts because we don’t want change. We want to stay in our shell of safety, but it isn’t safe. We are apart from God. In order to enter heaven we have to open our hearts.
In the Gospel Jesus proclaims that He is with God and is from God. We need to know that Jesus is the part of the trinity. Also in the Gospel it says “… because his hour has not come”. We need to know when it’s time for us to do the things we want to do. We need to know the right time to do stuff.
Jesus wants us to become closer with Him. Sometimes we fall away from Him by doing bad things when were not supposed to. So He wants us to become closer to Him and closer to the Faith by praying and doing good things.
Jesus was in Judea where the people want to kill him. but his time had not come and god would not let him die be cause he had not done all he needed to do
I think this scripture is telling us to not hate Jesus because he tells us to do things we don’t want to do even though we know they are right. These scriptures always have a way of fitting into our lives right now. We need to realize that Jesus is the true son of God and we should honor him, because everything he says will make us happy, the rules God gave us are for us to be happy and have a good life, not to make us robots.
Its saying that Jesus is trying to help us to not see bad things. He want’s to help us through bad times and he tries to show us the good.
If we want the reward of heaven we need to follow God. We need to resect his laws.
The lord is the God. God is the Lord. Jesus knows what and when the Lord wants something done. The Lord is always working with the Lord. Don’t test Jesus because the Lord had all the power and can do anything.
Jesus doesn’t want us to be blind to our sins and our love for Him. And as we are getting towards Easter, we should definitely not be blind because Jesus is Ressurecting and is truly alive.
I think today’s scripture passage is trying to tell us that we need to open our hearts to Jesus and be honest with him because He knows what we are going through and He can help us.
what the scripture is telling me is that we are blinded by sin which is why we dont see the good in things and we make excuses and we think God will be fine with it.
Jesus does not want our sin and evilness to blind us from loving Him. He just wants us to have a good relationship with Him and to love each other. We need to realize God’s love for us and He will always forgive us when we ask for forgiveness. We are blinded with anger and sin and fear that we do not see that God and Jesus want to spend eternal life with us. Open your eyes and push the evil and anger and fear aside. There is always room for God in our lives.
This scripture is telling us to stop denying our sins. We always act like they are not that big of a deal and we make up excuses. God helps us change our ways so that we don’t make excuses for our own pride, but to face the fact that we sinned and go to confession.
What stood out to me was, “You know me and also know where I am from. Yet I did not come on my own, but the one who sent me, whom you do not know, is true. I know him, because I am from him, and he sent me.” It stood out to me because we heard it at mass and they don’t realize what/where this Man came from. They don’t realize that He came down from Heaven to help one another and heal their souls. “I am from him, and he sent me,” is important because they are the same person.
We should treat others with kindness. I think that when we say treat others how we want to be treated. What if someone wants to be hurt? What if someone wants to be put down? I think that we should treat others as kindness instead of how we want to be treated unless we want to be treated with kindness.
I think it is telling me that Jesus, let us not allow our wickedness to blind us and our thoughts
Wickedness and selfishness blinds us from good. It’s like a giant boulder hiding the sun. We need to learn to always look for the sun, the truth.
A phrase that stuck out to me was “but no one laid a hand upon him, because his hour had not yet come”. It’s almost haunting. No one tried to touch him, because they didn’t want to harm Him before He died.
I think that this gospel is saying that God didn’t have to send Jesus, but He loved us so much that he did. We should not disrespect Him.
“YET I DID NOT COME ON MY OWN, BUT THE ONE WHO SENT ME, WHOM YOU DO NOT KNOW, IS TRUE.” we walked into a town where everyone knew him and started talking bout a man they hate.
I believe this scripture is saying that sinners were jealous of Jesus because he was so holy. We must strive to be like jesus.
God should always be our number one. We need to put God first. some people just push God farther back. People will say “oh ill pray but ill play on my phone first. No God needs before others. He is the most important.
Jesus tells us that His Father (God sent Him). This means that He is not doing His will but His Fathers will. Jesus is obedient. Obedience is the first step to holiness.
Jesus is talking about how they “know” where he is from. Really, he is from the Heavenly Father, but they think he’s from a place here on Earth. This makes me wonder how much I actually know Christ. Do I just someone where I can say, hey I need this, do it now please, or do I know something more? A relationship where Jesus is the center of my life, not my problems. It just reminds me of how much growth I still have to make.
We need to put God first. God is the most important person in our life. But some people push God back. We need to make sure he is the most important person in our life.
What this scripture reflection says to me is that I need to try harder. Even when life is tough, I still need to try. Whenever I can’t continue going though, I can always rely on Jesus to help me. I can lean on him whenever I need.
God hand picked us and chose us to serve Him here on Earth and has a plan for us. We need to choose to do right and complete his plans for us.
God tells us that we need to do what is right when other are not. We all want to be in the popular group one day but that sometimes means doing things that aren’t right. We do this so we can fit in. God doesn’t want us to do this people the people that you are trying to be a part of are usually bad influences and stuff like that so they do bad stuff. So if we want to be a part of their group we have to do bad things so they like us. But we don’t because God loves us for who we are already.
The scripture is saying that Jesus didn’t come on His own. God had to send him down to Earth into Mary’s womb. We cannot understand the amount of Holiness that God has within.
I believe that this scripture is saying that wickedness and temptation is all around us and we need to be prepared. We need to look for the Lord for he is the way and the truth.
In today’s gospel, I believe that Jesus is telling me that even though we are treated bad by others, we shouldn’t seek for revenge or do something bad to them. Instead, we need to forgive them. Forgiveness is the act of kindness that could change most people in the world. If there were always forgiveness like God forgives our sins, the world would be a better place with better people.
God is always there with us and when we do something bad and try to hide it you really can’t because he see’s everything we do. God wants us all to be good people and live a happy life but we have to make it that way God can’t do it all for us.
When our hour comes says the Lord. To me in the Gospel Jesus is saying to have patience and wait for our hour to come, through the ups and downs stay positive, bear with Christ and trust him that good will come out of it.
We let out wickedness blind us. Jesus is revealing the truth and we try to arrest him. The Father would not let anybody touch Jesus, because His hour had not yet come. Are we going to let the wickedness of Satan blind us again into arresting Jesus? We did not know who sent Him, or we didn’t believe. But now, we do know. And we can believe.
Jesus chose and made us for a specific purpose. We may want to be talented like that person. Or look like that person, but Jesus made us uniquely and different. Many times we look at the faults we have, or what we don’t have. When we should be looking the exact opposite. Today in the gospel people asked if Jesus was the one they were looking for. We know the story of Jesus and have a lot of knowledge about the scripture. What we want is to be in control, when Jesus is God and knows everything. We have to realize that and accept the person God wants us to be.
I think that scripture is saying that we should be trying to get to heaven, and we should be trying so hard to see God because God is God. Adn God died fof us and our sin.
This scripture is telling me to trust God. If people try to do wrong against us and are blinded by wickedness and they also rebuke and mock God, God will help us. Even though it happens on Earth, God judges them in heaven.
What this Gospel is saying is that people tried persecuting Jesus but they noticed He’s speaking openly and not against them. I need to work on not talking behind my friends and family back.
Today, Jesus is doing something extremely brave. He is teaching in a place with people trying to kill him. I mean we stop teaching the good news when we are in a place people will judge us, but He is teaching in a place where they are actively trying to take his life. This takes courage, and Jesus is a shining example of courage always
We have to realize how much God loves us. He gives us an unconditional amount of love that sometimes we don’t even recognize, and even take that unconditional amount of love for granted. As an example, God sent his only Son down to earth to die and to save us from our sins. Still, we choose to sin and to reject the love that God gives us. We need to learn to accept the love and our faults and to love everyone around us as well.
We cannot let our sin and temptation deceive us. We shall not let any evil into our hearts. This is what today’s scripture is telling us. He came and brought us light, joy, and all the good things to this world. We shouldn’t destroy that.
Today’s Gospel shows us how the wicked were planning to kill Jesus. But even when Jesus is speaking openly, they don’t attempt to arrest Him because “his hour had not yet come”. This shows that nothing can change the way that God has planned things. God planned for this to not be the time Jesus was arrested, so it didn’t happen. Even though they had an opportunity, it wasn’t the way God had planned.
The Pharisees tried to arrest Jesus because he was claiming to be the son of God. Jesus is the son of God though. If we want to get close to our heavenly father, who is not only the creator of your self but the creator of the universe. The best way is to grow close to Jesus. Jesus is God’s son and he knows him so if we grow to know Jesus we can know God. We can grow close to Jesus through the Eucharist.
I think that this scripture passage is telling me that I need to work on my relationship with God more. I can’t keep telling myself “I’m too busy. I’m too tired. I’ll pray tomorrow.” I just need to stop lying to myself, because when am I not busy? Rarely am I not busy. When am I not tired? Never. When I say I’ll do it tomorrow, do I actually do it? No it’s those same excuses again.
Jesus is our Heavenly Father and we need to know and have the most respect for him than anyone. Jesus would never do anything to mislead us or do wrong to us. SO we should never do any of those things to him.
I think this is saying that Jesus always knows what is right for us. let us not allow our wickedness to blind us and our thoughts
In today’s Scripture passage is trying to tell us that we need to open our hearts to Jesus and be honest with Him because He knows what we are going through and He can help us.
God should be put first like I mean he made every thing in existence how can he not be number one. God made you and me in his image he loves us all so much so we should love him back.
I believe this scripture is telling us that God should be our number one priority no matter what in our life>ANd that God loves us and we should be mindful of that.
In this Gospel today God is telling us that he is here with us. He wants us to know that he is always here to help us keep everything bad out of our lives.
This scripture is talking about how God planned or life out before we were even born so that when we get down on ourselves or stop going to mass God finds a way to bring us back.
What I think this is saying is that only people that truly believe and love God will know him. Others that just worship him because their parents make them will not have a strong relationship with him.
It is saying that God will save us if we believe and He truly does love us. The more we pray and believe the closer that we can get to Heaven and Jesus, Himself.
God has a plan for us. He sent us to this world because he has a plan for this world. God is our father and we need to treat him like he is our father instead of someone we worship. He put our lives into this world and he is going to protect us as a father.
We are sinners. Everyone on this earth is a sinner. We need to try the best we can to become the best we can. We can get jealous because of how perfect Jesus is. Selfishness blinds us from the good.
What the gospel is telling me that God created us to be how we are mean to. And that he died on the cross for us for our sins and for one day to get to heaven.
I think that this reading is trying to teach us humility. The Jews try to condemn Jesus because He makes them feel bad about themselves. You need to understand that you are not perfect and you need to be open to instruction on how to fix your mistakes but the Jews were just filled with guilt and they tried to kill Jesus because of it. We need to be the person that loves Jesus because he makes us better. He knows everything about us and He wants to have us be back in communion with Him in Heaven.
Jesus will always love us, and knows our thoughts. He keeps us in check, and makes sure that we are doing our best to stay close to Him. He wants us to be in love with Him, and got o Heaven to stay with Him forever
In today’s Gospel there are many people who are mad at Jesus because they do not like what He is preaching about. Sometimes we are afraid to speak up for what we believe because we are afraid of what other people will think of us. But Jesus is not afraid to speak out and we should try to have courage to stand up for what we believe in
I think this means God is telling us about other people who say that they are the chosen one or the one who God sent those people are all wrong. The only person is Jesus.
Jesus was mocked, spat at, beat, put to shame, and all the unimaginable ways of torture He received. We are to blame for that. We sin every day and Jesus took it all. We are living our lives with pretty much no punishment. We ask Jesus for proof, for signs, and for evidence that He exists. If there’s even a chance that a man suffered every type of pain, took our sins and eventually gave up His life for us, we should be forever grateful.
Once again the wicked test Jesus. They try and test the one who is all knowing but he knows what they are thinking and he can easily confuse them,
In todays Scripture, People want to be king and God. But there is only one true God. Jesus beacuse he died for our sins and suffered for us.
I think the scripture is saying that we are blinded by our jealousy and discern Jesus because he said he was the Son of God. The people didn’t believe him which resulted in His crucifixion. The people wanted to test Jesus’ patience and see if God would punish them. But God didn’t since it was His very own plan.
