“LET THE CHILDREN COME TO ME, AND DO NOT PREVENT THEM; FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN BELONGS TO SUCH AS THESE.” MT 19:13-15
Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary (quickest way to holiness) and Joseph.
Prayer Prompt before reading MT 19:13-15: Come, Holy Spirit, teach me how to pray, interpret the Scriptures for me so that I may know the Truth about who God the Father and Son are so that I may know who I am.
Kids say the darndest things! Children play for hours and it brings them great joy! They get lost in the moment. Kids say things exactly how they see them. As we grow older, God wants us to keep seeking and speaking the truth like a child.
He wants us to be who He created us to be, not one way for one group of people and another way for another group of people. Just be yourself! He also does not want us to lose our ability to play or take time for recreation (comes from re-create; re-energize; recharge the batteries).
We are called to grow in intelligence, wisdom, and virtue, willing the good of the other as we grow and mature keeping our innocence. But, if we want to enter the Kingdom Jesus reminds us, “Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them; for the Kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Interestingly, Scripture Scholars use these verses to argue for the legitimacy of infant baptism, “do not PREVENT them from coming to me”.
Today’s challenge: As you grow older, be child-like, never stop playing.
Be a servant, be a saint today!
