Prayer Prompt before reading MT 24:42-51: Come, Holy Spirit, teach me how to pray, interpret the Scriptures for me so that I may know the Truth about who God the Father is and God the Son so that I may know who I am.

“STAY AWAKE! FOR YOU DO NOT KNOW ON WHICH DAY YOUR LORD WILL COME.” MT 24:42-51

Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.

If we were to describe a faithful servant, what would he or she look like?  Jesus says today, “Prepared”.  To be prepared is to first encounter Christ, the living God, in the Word and the Eucharist. To hear Jesus in the Word is to learn to sit in silence and listen, then we gain knowledge or we begin to be taught/formed (Scripture, catechism, spiritual books).   Reflect in silence over these materials and journal what sticks to your heart.

Next, a person begins to believe in their heart by gaining knowledge through faith, being baptized, rejecting Satan and relentlessly growing closer to Christ.  How? Receptivity! God the Father is chasing after us, and Jesus already took the consequence of our sin and suffering and nailed it to the cross, but we have to give it to Him (Reconciliation). The measure in which a person gives themselves away, is the measure in which they become full. -St. Pope John Paul II

Since the Trinity is a relationship of love, we are called into a relationship with our Savior, pray. When our grace tanks are refilled often to live out our baptismal promises, the Eucharist-Jesus Christ, Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity, and reconciliation-allow God’s grace to change your life, we are transformed by Christ.  This is why the saints went to daily Mass and confession regularly!

Striving to say a daily rosary brings us even closer to Christ through Mary. In the rosary, with the help of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we meditate on the life of Christ. Walk with Jesus in the Stations of the Cross or do some type of sacrifice/fast every Friday to remind us that Christ died for us, deny yourself/kill your ego.

Gain knowledge on what Jesus went through in His Passion.  Every saint started at the foot of the cross with Mary.  Every difficulty that burdens you throughout the day offer up with the suffering of Jesus Christ, He gives purpose to suffering.

Everyday, ask the Holy Spirit to join your spirit so that you may live with the purpose you were created for and strive for holiness.  God is fully alive in us through the Holy Spirit to help us until Christ returns.  We must be transformed and live as other Christ’s for the world, always striving for greater holiness for the greater glory of God.  Last, sit in silence and listen so you will be, “Prepared” when the Master returns.

Today’s challenge: Be prepared.  Pray, hope, and don’t worry! -St. Padre Pio One of my coaches taught me, “Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance”

Be a servant, be a saint today!
#Christian YODO (You Only Die Once; we will live again!)

Heart, Fight, Trust

Please pray for me and my family as I will for you!

Joyfully sacrifice for another today!

Today in the Gospel, Jesus tells His Disciples that they do not know when the Son of Man will come. To me, that means we need to be ready for Jesus and just everything in life. If we are not prepared, we might not be able to comprehend and understand what is happening. We all need to stay present with Jesus.

In today’s Gospel Jesus tells us to be prepared for His coming. Some of the ways we can be prepared is by being in the right spiritual state of mind, we need to be in a habit of prayer. Another way is to be going to Mass and being focused in on the Mass.

i think this gospel is telling us to prepare for the coming of Christ. “For you do not know on which day your Lord will come” this line really shows that we don’t know when Jesus is coming back so we need to prepare ourselves for the coming.

“For you do not know on which day your Lord will come.
Be sure of this: if the master of the house
had known the hour of night when the thief was coming,
    he would have stayed awake
and not let his house be broken into.
So too, you also must be prepared,
for at an hour you do not expect, the Son of Man will come.”
I believe that this part of the Gospel today is telling us to be ready and prepared because at any moment the coming of Jesus can happen. You shall not do evil, you shall not do what is bad, you shall go to mass every Sunday at least. You shall pray everyday if you can, if you can’t you will find time in the day he promises you shall find an amazing time for prayer. Never do bad, if you know its bad, never to evil, always try your best to be good and holy with the Lord our God.

And just remember its not a wish its a prayer and you should surrender to God while prayer because God is not a genie

I think this tells us the expectations we must meet as Christians and how much we can do to help the church through simple actions.`”When our grace tanks are refilled often to live out our baptismal promises”. I think this means when we attend stuff church related like confession communion and just participating in mass we fill up our grace tanks and we grow closer to Christ.

One thing we say to do is to deny yourself which can sound weird “deny yourself” like WHAT. But, as faithful Catholics we have learned that we should always put God first in our lives because he made us and then sent us his only son to die and save us because of a persons mistake. It’s crazy to think someone died for us because of a sin but that shows how much he loves us and that no matter what we do he will never give up on us.

Jesus died for us and for that we should be eternally grateful to him, we owe our lives to the Lord and we should respect his wishes for that, and we know we have a choice we always have a choice and God sees and it hurts him. that’s the reflection I had
