Prayer Prompt before reading MT 18:15-20: Come, Holy Spirit, teach me how to pray, interpret the Scriptures for me so that I may know the Truth about who God the Father is and God the Son so that I may know who I am.

“SO WILL MY HEAVENLY FATHER DO TO YOU, UNLESS EACH OF YOU FORGIVES HIS BROTHER FROM HIS HEART.”MT 18:21-19:1

Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.

Today, Jesus teaches us we will be judged when we die. Our personal judgment is called Particular Judgment and at the end of time when Jesus comes back is called General Judgment. The amazing thing that Jesus teaches us today is that one major part of that judgment is how we forgive.

Wow! We are called to have limitless forgiveness like God does on us. If we do not have limitless forgiveness, we will be withdrawn on judgment day to the place we do not want to go. ”So will my heavenly Father do to you, unless each of you forgives his brother from his heart.”

I have a lot of work to do. This is why time is such a gift from God for us. We still have time to mend relationships. Be mindful that God does not require us to stay in abusive relationships. We are to maintain our dignity, so forgiving someone for repeated verbal and physical abuse against us is not what Jesus means.

Today’s challenge: Mend relationships starting with those in your home, then in your friendships, then at school or place of business. Be quick to forgive and slow to judge. Thank God the Father for His infinite mercy on us. His love and forgiveness never end, how else could we get to heaven, but we must ask and repent with our hearts. Come to God to be forgiven, forgive yourself, and forgive others. Then, joy and peace are headed your way.

Be a servant, be a saint today!
