Prayer Prompt before reading MT 18:1-5, 10: Come, Holy Spirit, teach me how to pray, interpret the Scriptures for me so that I may know the Truth about who God the Father is and God the Son so that I may know who I am.

“I SAY TO YOU THAT THEIR ANGELS IN HEAVEN ALWAYS LOOK UPON THE FACE OF MY HEAVENLY FATHER.” MT 18:1-5, 10

Humbly submit your will to God (thy will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.

Padre Pio on Guardian Angels
Invoke your Guardian Angel that he illuminate you and will guide you. God has given him to you for this reason. Therefore use him! ~ Send me your Guardian Angel—he doesn’t have to pay a ticket for the train and he doesn’t wear out his shoes.

St. John Vianney on Guardian Angels
Ah! if we had the eyes of angels with which to see our Lord Jesus Christ present on the Altar and looking at us, how we should love Him!

The first thing about the angels that we ought to imitate, is their consciousness of the Presence of God.

Our Guardian Angels are our most faithful friends, because they are with us day and night, always and everywhere. We ought often to invoke them.

The Angels take great pleasure in helping us with our enterprises, when they are in accordance with God’s will.

If you find it impossible to pray, hide behind your good Angel and charge him to pray in your stead.

We ought to ask the Blessed Virgin, the angels, and the saints to pray for us that we may receive the good God as worthily as it is possible for us to receive Him. (Sermon on Holy Communion)

May we never forget to speak to our Guardian angel and keep them company.  May we always pass this on to our children in the Guardian angel prayer.  Happy feast of Guardian Angels!

Today’s challenge: Speak to your guardian angel, teach the prayer to someone!

Be a servant, become a saint!
#Christian YODO (You Only Die Once; we will live again!)

212-Boiling Point-God, our Father, is all in for us, a radical love that was proven to us by giving us His only Son to Die on a cross-our response-a radical love that puts others before self

Today the Gospel is short, but it gets right to the point: Children are the most innocent people. We must make ourselves less to be like children to enter heaven says Jesus. Children don’t have a sense of pride and accomplishment. This leaves extra room for God to dwell in them. That is why we must become like children.

this gospel was telling me that even though most people look down on children, because they are young and don’t know how to live yet, but children are more powerful then all of us. Children are humble, kind, and they don’t do wrong yet. the adults who look down on them have more sin in their heart than any children they ever make fun of do. This gospel told me that we don’t need to act like children, but we should be more like them in different ways. All children make it to heaven but not every one of us does, so we should strive to be as humble and as generous as our younger peers.

Today in the Gospel, Jesus teaches a very important lesson. Whoever is humble will be the greatest. Someone who doesn’t make everything about themselves and more about Jesus. Jesus said this because some of His followers were wondering who was the greatest. Jesus wants us to realize that the greatest is Jesus. We are his followers. We are not greater than anyone or anything. So today, let us try to be humble and give our life to God.

“Who is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven?”
He called a child over, placed it in their midst, and said,
“Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children,
you will not enter the Kingdom of heaven.”
We are the children of God, when we are young we are pure, but as we age we become duller, due to the exposure of inappropriate or wrong things that we see or we get pressured not to go to mass, because your friends aren’t going to mass. That doesn’t mean don’t go to mass that means we should at least be going to mass every Sunday. When we go to mass we have the opportunity to get filled with the Holy Spirit and to strengthen out relationship with God. Never stop praying and never lose that child Spirit in you.

This scripture tells us how our gaurdian angel helps us and guides us so much without us even realizing it. The phrase “he doesn’t have to pay a ticket for the train and he doesn’t wear out his shoes.” tells us how no matter where we go our guardian angel will follow without price but in our lowest times our guardian angel will be there to help us and comfort us.

In today’s Holy Gospel, which is the Good News. He is telling us that our guardian angels who are always at our sides everyday and forever, we will meet them when we get up to heaven with Jesus and all of the Holy Apostles. Jesus loves you so much that he sent an angel our way to take care of us until we get up to heaven. Our angels will always guide us till we make and to heaven but when we make it they will still be at our side. We should thank our Guardian Angels for taking care of us and guiding us through the light of God.

Whoever humbles himself like this child

Jesus is trying to say that if you do not have a clear mind and an innocent life you will not reach Heaven and if you get a child you will get Jesus because Jesus loves you and children are always humbled so Jesus wants you to be humbled so you can reach Heaven and sit by Jesus’ side by God’s side.

What I got from this scripture was that God has given us a guardian angel for a reason and they are our most faithful friends, that are with us always. We should not forget to pray to them and keep them close to us. What really stuck out to me is “If we had the eyes of angels with which to see our Lord Jesus Christ present on the Altar and looking at us, how we should love Him!” We should try and look at God how the angels do. I think sometimes we forget how much God can really make an impact on our lives and viewing him how the angels do will grow us in our faith.

He tells us that our gaurdian angel is doing so much for us and we don’t even realize let alone embrace it. Today the gospel talks about how we must be like children to enter the kingdom of heaven. I think what Jesus means by this is that we must humble ourselves and become pure like children to enter into Heaven. This is what Jesus did when he was born in the small town of Bethlehem in a stable. The message I got from this was that I don’t need to do big things or be super successful to get to Heaven. I feel like it’s similar to sports; you will only become greater if you work on the fundamentals. If I want to get to Heaven, I don’t need to be “flashy” with my faith, but rather do the little things and truly love God with all my heart.

What God is telling me today is that if we are forever humble then we will be with him forever in heaven and we know this because the Lord always keeps his promises.

In today’s Gospel God tells us in order to get into His Kingdom of Heaven we must turn and become like children. When you are a child you are very humble and not as distracted. If we become just like that we can follow Jesus easier and enter into his Kingdom.

This Gospel is one of my favorites. It is one of my favorites because two of my sisters were stillborn/born too early. Another one of my sisters had to be in NICU for an extended amount of time, and it reminds me that my sisters were the children God wants us to be, they were pure and innocent, with no sin on them. This passage reminds me to stop trying to grow up as fast and to take it slow and be a kid.

in today’s gospel it tells us that we can rely on our guardian angels for prayer. It also is telling us that our guardian angels are like our best friends and that we must talk to them like we do to our close and loved ones. The Angels take great pleasure in helping us with our enterprises, when they are in accordance with God’s will.

In this Gospel God is leading me to tell theirs to be humble. don’t be gluttonous and don’t be greedy during target success Mr Goertz said hiding your strengths is a sign of strength and chastity we must be humble and when we need help or are in a deep pit of sorrowfulness to talk to your guardian angel or talk to your confirmation saint these are great ways to not only keep you in the path of virtue but keep you getting even closer to God

I think today in the Gospel God is telling me that I should be humble, and I should try to be as innocent as a small child, so that I can go to heaven.

This gospel tells us to stay humble and pure. To get to heaven you must be the most righteous you can be and you should do all things through Christ. We should also not despise or be jealous of the people in our lives that are doing better than us. Stay humble and we can live freely with Jesus. Our angels are protecting us.

In today’s Gospel, we are called to be Children of God. Children are innocent, humble, and kind to everyone. Carlo Acutis was innocent and wanted to help others like the children Jesus told us about. He was a child of God. Likewise, we are to be humble, help one another, and not to have impure or evil thoughts like children. Our guardian angels look over us and protect us,God, the Father, protects his children because that is what a protective, loving, and caring Father would do. He wants us to be like children, innocent, humble, and kind. Like a toddler, they are innocent and happy, and they have a father (guardian) that looks over them and protects them.

A famous quote reminds me of this Gospel: “If you have a child’s heart, you have a child’s mind.”

Today Jesus told me that we all can make it to heaven but in a different way. He said we have to humble our selves like a child for young children who know not what they do wrong or right but we do and we have control over that and we have to use our control for the greater good. So we must humble ourselves like a child.

Today’s scripture to me is saying that everyone is a temple of God and whatever we do to them we do to God and we need to respect others and our neighbors like we would treat God himself.

In the gospel, I think that Jesus is trying to tell us to hold on to our innocence as children. In other words, to have a mind like a child’s mind, always adapting and changing to new truths but still holding on to the same foundations in love.

our guardian angels are our lifelong friends and they will always want the best for us and take pleasure when we do our best. they aren’t just there to protect they are there to serve you in a spiritual way since God gave them the most amazing job of getting to be with us all the time. they are great role models as they are just and understanding just as God wants them to be and when you feel like you just cant pray ask them to do so for you. they enjoy it, and their purpose is to help guide you with the holy spirit.

the phrase that stood out to me the most is

“Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children,
you will not enter the Kingdom of heaven.”

I think this stood out to me because children are the last thing I would expect to be the humblest human beings, yet here Jesus literally tells his disciple that unless they humble themselves like the child, then they cannot enter the kingdom of god.

Our Guardian Angels are our most faithful friends, because they are with us day and night, always and everywhere. This stood out to me because it made me think that no matter what our Gaurdian angel is always there for us.

The part of the Gospel that stuck out to me was when Jesus said to his disciples “Whoever humbles himself like this child
is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven.” This meant to me that for us to get to Heaven we have to humble ourselves and to love with great love.

We need to be humble and we need to not despise other children of God because no one is perfect other than Jesus. Our guardian angel is our best friend and will always help us and guide us we just need to listen and follow its lead.

“Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the Kingdom of heaven.” He is saying to us to become like children. Children are humble and kind. It also talks about how angels look upon the heavenly father. We all have angels to protect us and we all have a heavenly father that will protect us and be kind to us. God treats each and everyone of us fairly and honestly. We are his children and he treats us how a loving and caring father treats their own child.
