Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
As the crippled man who had been cured clung to Peter and John,
all the people hurried in amazement toward them
in the portico called “Solomon’s Portico.”
When Peter saw this, he addressed the people,
“You children of Israel, why are you amazed at this,
and why do you look so intently at us
as if we had made him walk by our own power or piety?
The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob,
the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus
whom you handed over and denied in Pilate’s presence,
when he had decided to release him.
You denied the Holy and Righteous One
and asked that a murderer be released to you.
The author of life you put to death,
but God raised him from the dead; of this we are witnesses.
And by faith in his name,
this man, whom you see and know, his name has made strong,
and the faith that comes through it
has given him this perfect health,
in the presence of all of you.
Now I know, brothers and sisters,
that you acted out of ignorance, just as your leaders did;
but God has thus brought to fulfillment
what he had announced beforehand
through the mouth of all the prophets,
that his Christ would suffer.
Repent, therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be wiped away,
and that the Lord may grant you times of refreshment
and send you the Christ already appointed for you, Jesus,
whom heaven must receive until the times of universal restoration
of which God spoke through the mouth
of his holy prophets from of old.
For Moses said:
A prophet like me will the Lord, your God, raise up for you
from among your own kin;
to him you shall listen in all that he may say to you.
Everyone who does not listen to that prophet
will be cut off from the people.
“Moreover, all the prophets who spoke,
from Samuel and those afterwards, also announced these days.
You are the children of the prophets
and of the covenant that God made with your ancestors
when he said to Abraham,
In your offspring all the families of the earth shall be blessed.
For you first, God raised up his servant and sent him to bless you
by turning each of you from your evil ways.” Acts 3:11-26
I love the Acts of the Apostles. It teaches us how everything comes together and Jesus fulfilled His mission. Most importantly, we are winners in this mission if we choose it. The Acts of the Apostles increases my faith and helps me understand my faith, “You denied the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be released to you. The author of life you put to death, but God raised him from the dead; of this we are witnesses. And by faith in his name, this man, whom you see and know, his name has made strong, and the faith that comes through it has given him this perfect health, in the presence of all of you.”
Has your faith increased in the last 40 days? Why or why not? Now that the Scriptures have been fulfilled, do we still act out of ignorance? What are we doing to continue to educate ourselves about Jesus and get to know Him better? We cannot give up our lives or worship someone we do not know or understand. Keep learning, be a sponge and soak up all that God wants you to know about Him.
The disciples of Jesus recounted what had taken place along the way,
and how they had come to recognize him in the breaking of bread.
While they were still speaking about this,
he stood in their midst and said to them,
“Peace be with you.”
But they were startled and terrified
and thought that they were seeing a ghost.
Then he said to them, “Why are you troubled?
And why do questions arise in your hearts?
Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself.
Touch me and see, because a ghost does not have flesh and bones
as you can see I have.”
And as he said this,
he showed them his hands and his feet.
While they were still incredulous for joy and were amazed,
he asked them, “Have you anything here to eat?”
They gave him a piece of baked fish;
he took it and ate it in front of them.
He said to them,
“These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you,
that everything written about me in the law of Moses
and in the prophets and psalms must be fulfilled.”
Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.
And he said to them,
“Thus it is written that the Christ would suffer
and rise from the dead on the third day
and that repentance, for the forgiveness of sins,
would be preached in his name
to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
You are witnesses of these things.” LK 24:35-48
Jesus appears to the Apostles with the words, “Peace be with you.” We just killed Him with our sins and the first thing He says is peace be with you! Who would ever do this? God has infinite radical love for His creation. His mercy is bigger than the ocean that makes our sins look very small. All He asks of us is to come to Him, repent (change our lives by changing our thinking), and show this love and mercy towards others. He then goes on to show the Apostles His glorified body, eats a piece of fish, and confirms He is not a ghost. This is why we believe we will have a glorified body after the Second Coming, Jesus does.
What is so important about these Resurrection stories? Jesus Christ is who He says He is and it solidifies everything He has said and done. “He is either God or a very bad man” says Bishop Robert Barron. Second, there are many witnesses of these things and over 100 prophecies fulfilled by Him.
We have no physical or scientific proof that Jesus resurrected (except the Shroud of Turin if it is the burial cloth of Christ), but in Luke’s Gospel today we have witnesses who wrote about Him. Read it slowly. It contains the summary of the whole Bible and everything we need to know to believe, be saved, and get to our heavenly home; the heart’s deepest longing.
Today’s challenge: Read and believe, our minds have been open to the Scriptures through the power of the Holy Spirit in Baptism and Confirmation to help us understand and increase our faith. Live it through your actions, repent and begin to change daily habits.
Be a servant, become a saint!

Jesus Christ has risen, Alleluia! Do you believe?
Today Jesus proves that He has beaten death. The people Jesus was talking to were scared of Jesus because they thought Hr was a ghost. But Jesus proved that He is not a ghost by showing them His hands and feet. He also eats which a ghost can not do and you can see that the Lord has bones. Jesus is truly risen. Do we believe?
This shows us that if you don’t believe you need to convert.
In todays gospel Peter is telling all of the people around him that they shouldn’t be amazed by this, because it is the work of Jesus, and God. He also says that they are the people who decided to kill Jesus, and release a murderer to them.
This scripture is saying that we are the children of God.All he asks of us is to rejoice within him and spread his word.God can heal, he can do anything. All we have to do is ask.
We have to open our minds to the scripture just like they did in the gospel. There is so much advice and interesting meaning if we actually look deep into scripture and try to understand. The gospels along with the Bible is the way to life it is the way to heaven. So if it’s right there we need to realize it and really try to understand.
Today the scripture is telling me that people will always first revert to the human possibility. Like with the crippled man, we will always think at first that a good thing came from man, but often it comes for God. We need to give God more credit in the good things that happen in our lives.
“Has glorified his servant Jesus whom you handed over and denied in Pilate’s presence, when he had decided to release him.” The apostles were kind of upset because the crowds were amazed by what they did with the power of God, but not long ago they had killed Jesus for doing the same things. The apostles felt that the people were being hypocritical.
“Peace be with you.” These are some of Jesus’s first words after his resurrection to the human race, right after they tried to kill him. This is only one of many examples of how much God loves us, and just how willing he is to forgive us, of any sin we commit.
What I took away from this gospel is that God loves all. God will always love you and will always continue to love you no matter what you do. Not saying if you do bad things on the daily he will still love you no matter what, he loves us for who we are. We need to look at this and acknowledge what God has done for us, and see how much he loves us.
The Scripture tell us to follow God. We will be separated from the other world of sin and hate but to be with God. God tells us to repent and follow Him so we will be able to get to Heaven. #FollowChrist
Peter says to the people that they have killed Jesus and God has risen Him from the dead. He also tells them that they have killed their God, brother, Father, ect. But He died on the cross for us. To save us from our sins.
God giving you grace is truly something special He gives you something that is to worship Him and bring light to the bad situations. He loves us so much that He would do anything for us and would make us notice how much He loves us. He brings joy and peace with others and ourselves.
When I read the scripture, I thought of how people were so amazed but the disciples were not. They had so much faith in God and trusted in him. we should try to have that trust in God like them. The only way we do that is with faith. We must Give are selves to God and be humble.
the bible is such a easy thing to read so why do i not read it im so self centered that i cant even read a lifetime of teachings
The people living at this time knew that there was to eventually be a Messiah, but they weren’t as ready as they thought they were to recieve Him. Like always, Jesus denied the odds and died for us so that we could have Eternal Life with Him.
Jesus died and rose from the dead for us. He sacrificed everything but we still deny Him and sin. Every time we sin we hurt Jesus, it’s like putting another thorn into His crown. We need to work on being better for God because He gave everything for us.
Peter had done a miracle and the townspeople did not understand. He explained to the people of Jesus and that this was just the beginning.
The Lord has separated His servants from this earth, so that they should not be contaminated by its sins. By the power of His hand He has wiped away our sins through His passion and death. Let us rejoice in the Lord and His works. He has redeemed us from death through His.
In today’s gospel, Jesus is resurrected. He tells us that the people that instead of releasing the Messiah, they released a murderer. He tells us to convert to Christ so our sins may be forgiven.
We should believe that Jesus is truly God, and know that His miracles are real.
I think this scripture is saying that Jesus can do amazing things. I also really liked how Peter was telling the people not be be amazed about him healing a crippled man. This shows in the scripture,”all the people hurried in amazement toward them in the portico called “Solomon’s Portico.” When Peter saw this, he addressed the people, “You children of Israel, why are you amazed at this, and why do you look so intently at us as if we had made him walk by our own power or piety?
Today the scripture is saying that we can take things over praying maybe like playing video games or being on your phone in that time we could be using it to pray and talk to Jesus.
We should always care for the sick and help those in need.
Today’s scripture we see that we need to love and have more faith in God. Nowadays lots of people have put God last on there list. But we need to remember to out Him first because He died for us and loves us so much.
Jesus appears to the apostles. Jesus appeared to the apostles to show them that everything is okay. and that Jesus our savior is with His father, God. He is there to tell them to go out and preach the word and tell everyone that Jesus Christ is still alive.
The people in the town are amazed by the crippled man who was cured because they did not know Jesus. Peter and john nave been given the power to heal and to drive out demons in the name of Jesus.
The acts of the Apostles teach us what Jesus went through. It gives us information over what happened in holy week and gave us a rundown of the Passion.
In today’s reading “Repent, therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be wiped away” stuck out to me. I think this stuck out it me because it was almost so easy for Jesus to forgive sins as long as we ask.
The people in the town are amazed by the crippled man who was cured because they did not know Jesus. Peter and John have been given the power to heal and to drive out demons in the name of Jesus.
What this means to me is that life isn’t about us. Life is about God. We need to help eachother get to heaven and get closer to God.
The people are amazed that the man can now walk, but Peter and John criticize them, because it was not them that made the man walk, but Jesus who did. The very man that they persecuted and killed, and chose a criminal over. They are told that they understand that they just followed their leaders, and if they repent and convert, their sins will be forgiven.
Jesus is here to help us through hard times. We are supposed to help them when they need it and we aren’t supposed to just leave them in pain. We have to do what is right and help them get help.
This scripture is talking about when peter and john helped the person walk again and when everyone say this there were amazed on what had happened and peters tell us that “You children of Israel, why are you amazed at this, and why do you look so intently at us
as if we had made him walk by our own power or piety?” and its telling us you walked pass this man properly for a long time everyday or something like that and you properly din’t even notice him or anything and like now that i have done this miracle you deiced to give him attention and it like we should help others more than anything.
I think that this scripture is telling us to not ignore Christ. He died for us we need to realize that. We should spend time with him in silence and patience. The only way the apostles were able to perform miracles was with the holy spirit. We need to spend time with God to be like the apostles.
Everybody or supposed to always believe in God
I think today’s scripture passage is trying to tell us that we should not ignore Jesus because He is always there for us whenever we need him, and He always knows what we are going through.
Today I thick that this Scripture is telling us that our life is not about us it is about God. We are children of God that are meant to follow and love him. Not betray him and go against what he says,
“You children of Israel, why are you amazed at this, and why do you look so intently at us as if we had made him walk by our own power or piety?” They did not do all of the miracles God did. We should not need a miracle to believe. God sent Jesus to save us and yet some still do not believe. We should take the signs we have and believe.
Jesus is truly the Son of God and is capable of so many great things. He died so we didn’t have to die for our sins and He says, “peace be with you” after we just killed Him with our sin.
We should strive to be like Peter. He had undying love and faith for Jesus, and is one of His most faithful disciples. Jesus has undying love for us, but we need to have undying love and faith for God. When we believe and pray to God and ask of His blessings and forgiveness, we will receive great things.
“THEN HE OPENED THEIR MINDS TO UNDERSTAND THE SCRIPTURES.” Jesus opened the apostles minds to the gospel, but he has also opened our minds to scripture as well. I t is a gift he has given us, so we need to use this gift to help others and ourselves get closer to the kingdom of God.
I think this says that we must open our minds to see and believe in Christ. We must open our hearts to God and the eucharist.
Jesus has the power to heal us because He is actually the Son of God. We need to believe in Him. He can give us a miracle too.
I think that this is saying that we should read the scriptures and apply them to our lives. They will help us get to Heaven.
Today’s scripture is very meaningful and can relate to many people. The main meaning I took from this scripture is when we have trouble trying to read the scripture(Bible), it might be hard but we simply just need to ask Jesus to help us. He is always there for you. He will always help you understand, you just have to ask him. He will never leave us, we just have to use our voice and ask him. It might not feel like he is talking to you, but he is. He is trying to help you understand it, so you can go fourth and be a disciple of him. He wants you to understand it, He truly does. But, if you aren’t willing to be open to understanding it then he can’t really force you. So as we are rapping up this Easter time, really try to talk to Jesus, and ask him for understanding.
When Peter spoke to the people about Christ’s Death and Resurrection, I think the words he spoke are extremely important. Not only is he testifying, but also speaking the Truth. As I continue my Easter journey, I want to remember what Jesus did for us, and how much that shows he loves us.
We need to believe and have faith in God. If you don’t you might as well not be Catholic. Because to have a true relationship with God you have to believe.
Something that stood out to me was, “You children of Israel, why are you amazed at this.” It stood out to me because we are all created in the image of God and God is our father. We are all how we are supposed to be so don’t think you’re not because you are the way God created you.
