“ASK THE MASTER OF THE HARVEST TO SEND OUT LABORERS FOR THE HARVEST.” LK 10:1-12
Humbly submit your will to God (thy will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Prayer Prompt before reading LK 10:1-12: Come, Holy Spirit, teach me how to pray, interpret the Scriptures for me so that I may know the Truth about who God the Father and God the Son are so that I may know who I am.
Today, Jesus is asking us to pray for our Pope, bishops, priests, religious brothers and sisters, and catechists (don’t forget this includes parents the first educator of God to children). He is asking us to ask God (the master of the harvest) to send laborers for the harvest. If we do not have priests, we cannot get to heaven, plain and simple.
We cannot be baptized to have our original sin taken away, we cannot receive the Catholic ER (Eucharist and Reconciliation) when we fail to keep the commandments. We cannot be consecrated in our vocations of priesthood and marriage or given our last rites before death.
We are so blessed in our diocese of Wichita with many vocations, but we can always have more. Many dioceses are suffering in the U.S. and priests are few with many pilgrims to serve. These men and women “carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals” and stay faithful to Christ their whole life. What a great model of love for us! Some spend their whole life in a convent or monastery praying for us! Amazing!
In our homes, how many moms and dads have given up their life to serve their children. They have given up their social life, hanging with friends, what they want to do to give their children a better life. They get up every day and go to work to put a roof over our heads, food on the table, and clothes on our back. They give up their time to rest after work to cook supper, go to the grocery store, drive us to practices, and support us in our extracurricular activities. When is the last time we have said thank you and I love you?
Our vocations to the priesthood, religious life, or marriage teach us how to serve. Our vocations teach us how to sacrifice and love with the highest form of love, agape love, or sacrificial love. This is the love that the Father and Son have for us and we live our true identity out in these vocations.
Second, Jesus is telling us that some will accept His message and some will not, but we must not become disheartened. Keep living and teaching Jesus, it brings persecution and joy, the reward is eternal life!
Today’s challenge: Pray for our Pope, bishop, priests, seminarians, religious, catechists, and parents!
Be a servant, be a saint today!
#Christian YOLO
We are called to serve the church. Just like the stewards of the church and our parents and grandparents, brothers and sisters, and so much more. We are called to preach the word of the Lord and go out to all the world, and do all that is good.
We are so blessed to have amazing parents. they are awesome. They are always here to help us no matter what. I mean we wouldn’t even be alive with out them. and yet we take them for granted. we need to respect are parents and everything they do.
I think that God is trying to tell us that whatever you do the same thing will be done to you. It is like the Golden rule.
I think that in this Gospel, Jesus is trying to tell us that. If we just ask from God we will receive it. Because once you believe in Him you will have eternal life and happiness.
In today’s gospel the Lord sends out 72 men in pairs to each city he plans to visit and gives instructions of what they need to do in order for it to be ready when he arrives.
Baptism is very important. If you don’t get baptized your sins aren’t washed away. You are not a child of God by definition. That’s why it’s important because if you are not a child of God you can’t get to heaven and that’s everyone’s goal so we can all live happily with our Lord and Savior.
It says that we have to know the truth about who God the Father is and He is all good and only good, He is LOVE and He is our creator . He is the one that chooses if we got to heaven or if we don’t, he has the power to do anything and everything. HE is GOD.
God does not choose if we go to heaven, we choose by our response to His love.
In todays Gospel we see the first time that we are called to live a life of poverty. In doing such we can finally see that Jesus is the only way to true happiness or joy. We can strive to live a life of holiness by getting rid of everything we don’t need and giving to others.
Today something that stuck out to me was that even if they rejected them from their city or house you still preach to them. This sticks out to me because of the persistence that I must’ve taken to get rejected from a house and still preach to them. If you had been excepted you were to take everything that was given to you. He also sent them out with NOTHING not even shoes. He said to talk to no one on your way to the house or city. This is kind of weird to me because why would he not want them to preach to everyone.
“The Kingdom of God is at hand for you.” only you can choose to go to heaven,If you choose the wrong path there you will end up somewhere else not in the place you want but if you choose to follow God you will be saved.
In Todays Gospel these words stuck out to me
“The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few”
these words stuck out to me because I Understand
them and I think they mean like they had a great harvest
but there was no farmers to pick the harvest.
in this scripture i feel Jesus is telling me we need to pray for others in need and pray for the most holy like our priests and bishops and the pope he also wants us to pray for our parents and brothers/sisters and our enemies that may hurt us Jesus tells us to forgive.
Today’s Gospel is talking about how we need catholic leaders in order to go to heaven. In the Gospel it says Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals showing that the Priests Bishops and other catholic leaders had to give up there life and worldly things in order to follow God.
Something that I got out of this, was that Jesus may come in ways that we are not expecting him to come to us. Most of us humans expace him to come with trumpets and angels coming down to talk to us, yet almost 99% of the time it is the exact opposite. He comes to us in the quiet of our own homes, late at night, when nobody is with us or looking at us, and when he shows himself to us, we should realize what it is, that it is God, and to listen, like the nuns that came here a few days ago, most of time God sounds just like us when he talks to us, and we should be able to filter out what is not him, and just our imagination, and what is God trying to tell us something. I kind of think of it like this, if you were blind, and your mom called you, you would instantly know that it was your mom, why because you have known her the first day you were born, but it somebody that we have never talked to in our life called us, I bet you $1,000,000 that you would not be able to tell who it was, and that is the same way with God, that the more we talk to him, and the more we have a relationship with him, the more we will recongnize his voice, and the better that we can listen to him, and that is something that we should all strive to do.
In todays scripture its said These men and women “carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals” and stay faithful to Christ their whole life. saying that we don’t have to be rich to have a relationship with God. There are many people who pray and work hard for us.
today’s it talks about being a parent and stuf but something that stand out to me was that presit do all there’s things for us and pray for us and we can get are sins takin away but the pirst and bircent they do get pray for a lote.
“When is the last time we have said thank you and I love you?” Today God is telling me that we should be grateful for our parents. Just because they can’t do everything right doesn’t mean we should hate them. We should keep on caring and loving for them even when you get mad at them. They are always gonna be here for you even if you don’t think so. Some parents might not but most parents will. You will always be apart of them whether you like it or not. Instead of hating them you should love them and thank them for all that they do, and after all they give you a free house and free food and free water and free everything basically. So next time you see them make sure you tell them you love them because you never know when its their last time saying it.
Today God said to send laborers to harvest. In our lives it is not really like this but kind of is but our parents or priests and teachers and kind of like the laborers because they are influencing everything we do in life. For example our parents take us to sports and school and go to work almost everyday to provide for us which is what I would say is labor. Our priests pray for us every day and look over the church and say mass and talk to God in some way every day. Our teachers have to teach us almost every day and they take care of us too which is pretty hard I would say. We need to make sure we acknowledge them in what they do.
in this scripture i feel Jesus is telling me we need to pray for others in need and pray for the most holy like our priests and bishops and the pope he also wants us to pray for our parents and brothers/sisters and our enemies that may hurt us Jesus tells us to forgive them.
The journey to heaven is nothing like we expect. As followers for Christ, in the gospel it tells us that we shall travel with nothing. No money, no sandals, no possession of ours. It doesn’t matter, we have something that is so so so much better than money. It’s the love of God, we don’t have to earn his love, we don’t have to work for his love, we don’t even have to trade it because we always have it wherever we go. God’s love is so wide so long that we can’t reach the end of it. we need to realize that it’s our duty to use God’s love as a way to share it. We don’t trade it for anything, because we already have his love right here in front of us. so let us share his love with others because people need to know that there is someone longing for them. They just need to know.
It is good to honor our father and mother who love us and give up themselves for us. We should make sure that we show them that we appreciate what they do. It is necessary to have priests because without them we wouldn’t be able to receive many sacraments and we wouldn’t be able to have as close of a relationship to God as we do now. We should keep everyone who has helped us grow closer to God in our prayers and we should try to help others too.
“In our homes, how many moms and dads have given up their life to serve their children.”
I like this because its something I feel us kids sometimes skip over. Our parents spend there time taking care of us, putting a roof on our head, putting clothes on our back, feeding us, and working hard so we can have a good life. They given up there time with family and and friends, and aslo give time to take us places, and getting us stuff. This goes with the Gospel because Jesus is saying whoever takes them in be greatful, like how we need to be greatful to our parents.
Today Jesus, calls us to be thankful for the Catholic Clergy. He asks us to pray for our Pope, Bishops, priests and religious brothers and sisters. If it were not from them we would not be able to go to Heaven. I think it is very important to pray for them, and our Mother and Fathers for they have given their life to teach us about our Faith.
Jesus was telling me to help my parents more because they give up everything for me and sometimes we don’t do anything nice to them back.
Jesus is telling us that we should drop all of our belongings and follow Him. He tells us this because there is no better thing on Earth than heaven, and we have to follow Jesus to get to heaven.
God is calling us to be nicer to our parents. These words say that our parents work hard for us. They gave up everything to be with us, and carry us in the right direction. They teach us to love others, espacially God. Lets be nice to others, and follow the right path to Jesus.
today’s gospel talks about how if we didn’t have priests then we wouldn’t be able to go to heaven at all and it also talks about how we need more Catholic leaders like Pope, bishops, priests, religious brothers and sisters, and catechists . Also that if we didn’t have any of those religious leaders at all they wouldn’t be able to get us to heaven which would be the biggest goal in life.
Today Jesus is calling me to just stop and listen in silence for his voice and to want to do it.
its talking about how gettiung baptised is a way of giving an oath to our faith. Turning away from God after getting baptised is impossible and cant be done. after you are baptised your soul is branded no allowing God to stray away from us. Our faith will always be able to drift off but after baptism God will be with you forever.
Today’s Gospel says that we should basically turn our lives Into poverty to see how people would treat you. If they accept you they are the ones who will make it to the Kingdom of God, but if they do not accept you they are the ones who reject the Kingdom of God.
I think it was saying go to you mother or father and thank you for all that you have done for me and the rest of my siblings if you have siblings!!
The scripture is telling me that you cannot get baptized and wash away all your sins .
I think it is trying to say it is good to honor our father and mother and that we should always listen to them. I also think us as kids sometimes don’t appreciate our parents enough and don’t realize just how much they really give up for us to make sure were healthy and happy.
I think Jesus is trying to tell me that missionaries are required to spread the word of God. As sons and daughters of God we are called to be missionaries to carry out Jesus’s mission of salvation to all of the world. Jesus is also saying that we should not be attached to material things but be focused on God instead. Jesus is also calling us to serve others and provide for their needs.
We are so blessed to have amazing parents even if their strict. Don’t ever say you hate your parents or that they’re mean and always forgive them because they don’t have to get you a new phone they don’t have to get you new clothes they don’t have to buy you random stuff for your room. They’re doing that because they love you so don’t say that they don’t care about you or that they won’t get you anything you want. You’re lucky if you even have a roof over your head. So be grateful. I mean you’re lucky to even have/wear clothes, some people don’t even have clothes or they have some but they are falling apart. So be grateful!
today Jesus is calling us to be gratful for what our parents do, they take time out of there life to help us, feed us, have a roof over our head, and clothing because they dont have to do it but they do it for US. what srucj out to me in this was “some will accept His message and some will not, but we must not become disheartened. Keep living and teaching Jesus, it brings persecution and joy, the reward is eternal life”
Something that stuck with me is that without priests, bishops, and popes we wouldn’t be able to get to heaven the reason that is because we cant get baptized, confessed, or even confirmed. Also another thing is that all our moms and dads give up going out, hanging with they’re friends, and much more so we can have food and a drink on our tables and a roof over our heads.
What I got out of today is that you shall not only worry or only pray for yourself for the Lord wants you to also pray for the mothers, Fathers, priests, popes, and missionaries. Have you ever prayed for God? That’s one question that doesn’t get asked enough. If you think about it we pray for someone that is hurt or in great loss, God has taken all of our sins and yet some of us don’t pray for him.
We really can’t pray for God. He doesn’t need anything. Prayer is for us. All we can do is respond to His love!
This gospel reading is talking about that parents will give anything up for there children even if that means not eating for a day or 2 because they want there children to be happy, and have a good life.
In today’s gospel I think that Jesus was telling me that we should be grateful for everyone and pray for everyone like parents, friends, and anyone we see in the world. I think that it also says that we should honor our father and mother.
“The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few;
so ask the master of the harvest
to send out laborers for his harvest.
Go on your way;
behold, I am sending you like lambs among wolves.
Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals;
What I think God is telling me to do is to go out to the world and preach the good news to the world.
I feel as if today’s Gospel is talking about how we need catholic leaders in order to go to heaven.
In today’s gospel, Jesus is saying that we need to leave behind our belongings and our possessions and follow the Lord. I think that it takes courage to believe in your faith, so to be able to be brave and selfless as to help others is an amazing ability that we should all strive for.
God is trying to say that in that one paragraph He is trying to say that we should be thankful for everything our parents do for us and how much money they spend for us. There is so much that they do for us they also take off time for work to either pick us up from school, or even practice. So be thankful for everything they do
I think that Jesus is trying to tell us to appreciate our parents and our family because they sacrifice for us.
something that stuck out to me is “in our homes, how many moms and dads have given up their life to serve their children” this stuck out to me because not only do our mothers and fathers give up their lives for us but so did Jesus when he died on the cross for our sins.
What I feel like God is telling me is to honor my father and mother, as they do so much for me, and that our parents sacrifice to make us happy.
I think what God is trying to tell me today is that when someone offers you something don’t take it and leave and go ask someone else for stuff. Then when you go into the first persons house grant peace on them because they are taking care of you.
I think in today’s Gospel God is telling us to go out in the world and preach the gospel so that all may hear it.
What I got from today’s gospel is not only pray for yourself, but for those around, for those who need it, and for the leaders of the church and priests. Just like Mr. Goertz said “All we can do is respond to His love!” so we can respond to His love by sharing it with others.
The Gospel today is telling me that God is at hand and you shall enter his house. God will always be at that one house just waiting for you to come to it. That is why we should love God and pray to Him.
Today, it is telling us that we need to honor our parents more. We need to love Christ more. That means going to mass every weekend, and praying and praying and praying!! We should all be thankful for the life that God has given us, and be thankful for all the things that we have. Because, some kids our age do not have anything like that. Love the Lord!
We need to remember to thank god and our parents for things they drive you to sunday mass, they take you to practice, they even make dinner for you ( usually). Thank someone today. Say Iove you to the brother or sister you dislike. If you these
things God will grant you eternity with him
God Bless
I think that the gospel is telling us to go out and teach the gospel and go to the household. Go in and set your peace on the house and if they do not want it say to them salvation is at hand.
We need to Honor our Father and Mother. We need to preach the word of God not only outside but also in our very own household. Preach so to spread the good news and wonders of God.
I think Jesus is trying to tell me that we should go out with nothing and preach the good news of Christ and His Gospels. God will provide for what we need for our journey. If we give all that we have to God, He cares for us and if we have nothing he will give us what we need. We are all called to spread the Gospel to those who don’t believe.
In today gospel God sent out 72 men to go and preach the word of God. We should all take that in to perspective and spread the true and raw words of our Lord Jesus Christ ..
Today Jesus, calls us to be thankful for the Catholic doctrine. He asks us to pray for our religious family priest bishops and pope, including the brothers and sisters and the fallen. If it were not from them we would not be able to go to Heaven. I think it is very important to pray for them, and our Mother and Fathers for they have given their life to teach us about the Glory of God and how to be the best of everyone.
No matter what, we NEED to find time to thank our parents and those who educate us. They have brought us under their wing and have protected us. They have taught us very useful things. We need to show our affection and love for them.
In the Gospel this verse stuck out to me “The Kingdom of God is at hand for you.” What that means to me is that we are always welcome in heaven and we can live with God even if we do something wrong because he always forgives us. And even if we sin Jesus will still love us because he forgives us.
We need to spread the gospel.
In today’s Gospel we see the first time that we are called to live a life of poverty. He is telling us to go out in the world and preach the gospel so that all may hear it.We are called to be missionaries and to spread the word.I think that is what He is telling us to do in today’s scripture reflection.
In today’s gospel, Jesus tells a bunch of apostles to go out to towns and go help them with harvest and send out peace. I think that this is kind of like what we need to do. We need to go preach the gospel and have peace.
I think what God is trying to say is that we need to all work together.
in todays Gospel Jesus sends out his disciples to tell the people the good news. just like Jesus sent out his disciples we must also send out to tell the world the gospel.
“Whatever town you enter and they welcome you,eat what is set before you,” This stuck out me because I think he is trying to tell me to be grateful for what I have. We always want more and more instead of being grateful for what we have already.
In the Gospel, God is telling us that we dont have to have money to be a part of him. The only richness we need, is our love. If we are rich in love, we can get to heaven by showing that love through good deeds.
Jesus is telling us how to follow him in today’s Gospel. We should not have extravagant items or experiences, but trust in people. His disciples did not have their own food, but only had what others gave them. They did not go from house to house begging people to give them food. They would ask one family and if they did not get anything they would leave town and not return.
What stuck out to me was your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you. This stuck out to me because it reminded me of sin. Are sins are always forgiven but lots of times we still sin and and it comes back and we have to keep going to confession. This reminded me to always try our hardest not to sin and especially try not to do the sin that you normally keep committing.
The thing that I noticed about the Gospel, is that Jesus used a parable, kinda, to portray his disciples as lambs, “behold, I am sending you like lambs among wolves.” This stuck out to me because it He was telling his disciples that they were entering the dangerous territory.
Today’s gospel is telling us about disciples that made sacrifices, “Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals;”. We are called to help out all that we meet. God is calling us to be missionaries and to spread the gospel to people. Our parents and many other people have made sacrifices for us that we don’t know of. We need to protect our faith and try to say thank you to people that have made sacrifices.
Our vocations to the priesthood, religious life, or marriage teach us how to serve. I knew priesthood and religious life taught you how to serve but I never thought of marriage teaching us how to serve. There is a lot of sacrifice when it comes to marriage. It does teach us how to serve in many different ways.
“carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals” what i am getting from this scripture is that God does not want us to latch onto inanimate objects. we cant take our phones, money, or belongings to heaven with us. and we don’t need to because God is everything we need and more.
In today’s Gospel, Jesus told 72 other disciples to go teach about God to the other people. We should go out and teach the Word of God to other people so they can also go to Heaven. We should be more grateful to our parents because they gave us a home, clothes, food, and a good education. We should also be grateful for Jesus because He died on the cross to save us from sin.“The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; I like this quote because everyone is equal and treated properly.
God is teling us that we need to honor and worship him and are parents. Are parents are the ones who brought you into this world to follow god and praise him.
I think the gospel is saying the household is like heaven. And that we should go to the household cause God wants us to. And that we should not be greedy since the gospel says to not move from one house to another and whatever town town you enter they will welcome you.
We should always be thankful and tell people we love them before it’s too late. You should never take your parents for granted and since they are the ones who gave up so much for you, we should always be thankful, and this goes for friends and other family aswell.
God’s love is powerful, yet He won’t accept us into heaven unless we do what is correct. The purpose of life is to become missionaries and to get into heaven, but we can’t become a missionary or get into heaven if we don’t do what He asks for.
“Yet know this: the Kingdom of God is at hand.” We never know when our judgement day will come, therefor we must always be kind, gentle, and loving to all. If we aren’t it seems very hypocritical to expect the same from others and God. We need to treat others as we wish to be treated, and love others as we wish to be loved, and care as we want to be cared for. Always take to chance to love others because God is just around the corner.
Today God is telling us to be thankful for what we have. Many times we can forget how lucky we truly are and the gifts that God gives us. We are the most spoiled people around, having parents who love us to have a warm meal at your house. These are all types of things that we are blessed with and should be grateful for.
I think that the gospel is trying to tell us is that we need to love out parents and siblings. This means that we have to go the extra mile for them. We need to pray for them, even when there not sick. We should clean there rooms or do there laundry even if they tell you that you don’t need to help them. We should care for our siblings the same every day, we shouldn’t be happy for them just because they won a trophy or something, we should be happy for them anytime, whether there sad or mad, we should always care for them because they are family and family comes first.
People do so much for us and we don’t even notice! Are parents give up so much for us to be happy, even when it hurts them in the process. They care about us so much more than themselves. Priests do so much for us, they baptize up, give us communion, and so much more. So many people in our lives do things for us and we either are to busy on our phones, in our heads, or whatever, we need to notice what people do for us and be thankful.
In today’s scripture it says “Jesus appointed seventy-two other disciples
whom he sent ahead of him in pairs
to every town and place he intended to visit.” Jesus sent out these men to go spread the word of God. We should also spread the word of God and tell others about what he has done for us.
Jesus is saying to me today that I need to trust in him and he will provide. “Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals” He is saying that when we can’t provide for ourselves, he will help. It is only by entrusting ourselves 100 percent to God and his will that we can fully come to know him and love him.
Today’s Gospel is about how much parents love their kids and would do anything for them and God is the exact same. He gave up his whole life for us.
In today’s Gospel i think Jesus is telling us to go out and spread the word. We are called to be missionaries and spread the Gospel to everyone.
the scripture told me to be grateful for priests, parents, bishops, everyone who helps us get to heaven. our parents sacrifice themselves for us, they put us before them and always make sure we have what we need. the priests and bishops and all the religious councils pray for us and tell us about the Kingdom, they want us to get to heaven, and for that we should be grateful.
Jesus is asking us to pray for our Pope, bishops, priests, religious brothers and sisters, and catechists our moms and dads had giving up there social life and physical life so we can have a better life than theirs. We must take what our parents give us and be a good son or daughter. Our Parents work so hard to keep a roof over our heads food on the table and clothes on our back. They give up their time to rest after work to cook supper, go to the grocery store, drive us to practices, and support us in our after school activities. When is the last time we have said thank you and I love you?
I think the message today was to preach the gospel, and don’t be afraid of the reactions you might get. “If a peaceful person* lives there, your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you.” I think this is saying that try your best to help people understand about God, but don’t be afraid or mad if they don’t accept it. Just keep trying.
“Whatever town you enter and they welcome you, eat what is set before you.” These words right here showed me how to be thankful for what we have. I believe that we should all be grateful for what we have even when we barely have anything. Some people have less stuff than we do.
“The Kingdom of God is at hand.” Jesus says this in our Gospel today, He is saying that we must repent now for we don’t know when our time is up. The only way to receive the sacraments are by priests, they are the laborers and we are the harvest. They are the ones who help us get to Heaven and without them we would not be able to. Therefore, we need to pray for them and peace in their lives and for them to continue to lead others to God. Our parents are our only teachers for the first 3-5 years of our life, they teach us the fundamentals of life and how we get to Heaven. We need to pray for our parents and thank them for all they do for us and teach us.
Jesus is sending his disiples out to preach the word of god to the people and he puts it like “for I am sending you like sheep to some wolfs” ,he is also telling them that what you need will be provided for you you just have to ask for it.
and he is also telling them to say peace be with this household and if the man or women inside has peace that stay there but if he or she does not then go outside and say “The dust of your town that clings to our feet, even that we shake off against you.
“Jesus is telling us that some will accept His message and some will not, but we must not become disheartened,“ What I get from this is that not all of us will be called but we can still help others. Someone might not have been introduced by Jesus at a young age like us so we can help them come to Jesus. I also took away that we should be grateful for our parents. They do the most for us we should treat them the same. It is like the verse MT 25:40 whatever you do to the least of my people you do to me.
” When is the last time we have said thank you and I love you?” we need to be grateful for our Parents. Our Parents give up everything for us. We should never take that kind of love for granted.
We are called to serve the church. All of us should be thankful for everyone in our lives.
We do not get a free ride to heaven.I think sometimes it seems like if your Catholic your going to heaven but,No you have to earn eternal life.
In our homes, how many moms and dads have given up their life to serve their children. This makes me think about my parents in so many ways, because they will always do anything for me, Even when I’m being rude and have an attitude they still do everything for me.
I feel like this is telling me that we need to accept what we are given with thanks that we got something
without people preaching to us about the one God Jesus Christ we could not make it to heaven, we need to listen to the people trying to preach to us, so WE can go out and share the gospel of the Lord.
“Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals” I think what God wants me to know is that we don’t need any objects to get into Heaven. We only need our faith and love for Jesus.
“If a peaceful person lives there, your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you.” This sentence sticks out to me because it really tells me to be nice to everyone and they will be nice to you. If you’re mean to people u will receive it back. It also tell me to always be respectful to the people willing to give up something nice to do for you.
What I think God is telling us to do is to always be thankful for what you have because someone on another part of the world might have less that what you have we should always say thank you to God since he gives us everything we need to survive we should always be thankful for what we have.
Today in the scripture Jesus tells me that when you sin and repent the kingdom will be waiting for you. But in you do not repent then your name will not be in the book of life.
“the kingdom of God is at hand for you” This quote tells me that He will always be there for us even when we are going through hard times. Also maybe it’s telling us that we should take his actions and show them to other people. So like us comforting other people during their hard times.
In today’s scripture I feel jesus wants us to go out and preach his name. So the world can prepare for when he comes down to earth again.
I think what God is trying to tell us here today is that we don’t need unnecessary materials, such as phones or anything that distracts us. Like in the Gospel, when it says “Go on your way; behold, I am sending you like lambs among wolves. Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals,” this “sending” could reference our lives. Those three items mentioned could represent those unnecessary materials! In our lives, ask yourself, “do I really need this?” or “does this matter now?” It will help you push away those things that you wouldn’t need and lead you to the more important things in life.
In today’s Gospel God is trying to tell us to honor are father and mother
The scripture talked about how much our parents do for us. and how much they give up for us. It also says when is the last time you said thank you and I love you to your parents?
what I understud was we can only receive babtisam once or twice only once and that sacrament takes away original sin
In today’s Gospel it is saying that we have a challenge to pray for our priests and our bishops. In today’s gospel it’s also saying that we should pray for our parents and love them because parents always sacrifice things for their own children. That’s why we have vocations that teaches us to serve our Lord Jesus Christ that died for our sin!!
I think the gospel is telling us we need to go make disciples of the Lord. If no one spreads the word, our faith with die off. I also think that we need to constantly pray for leaders in the church and our parents.
“Go on your way; behold, I am sending you like lambs among wolves.” I like this verse from the gospel because personally, I do feel like the Catholic faith is attacked in some ways and it is hard for kids our age to be openly Catholic and embrace our faith with love. For me, sometimes I’m afraid that if I show that I love my faith I will be ridiculed and I’m trying to push through that fear and respond to that with love because we must be like lambs among wolves.
Be thankful for what you have. That is what God is teaching us.
Jesus wants us to pray for the Pope, Bishops and all in the religious order. Without them we couldn’t get baptised and we can’t go to confession. We are lucky to have these many vocations.
