“ALL THINGS HAVE BEEN HANDED OVER TO ME BY MY FATHER.” LK 10:21-24
Humbly submit your will to God (thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Jesus Christ is King of the Universe. He has more power than any king, world leader, or rich person. God’s love is the most powerful thing in the universe. Nothing can destroy it. The Good News for you and I, this God Man grafted Himself onto us at Baptism. As St. Paul said, “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love”. Romans 8:38
Who did God choose to reveal these things to? He chose the childlike, the uneducated, the vulnerable and anyone who is willing to lose their life so that they might have eternal life. Today, Jesus reveals or reminds us that He is one with the Father (proof of a Trinity). He shares with us how the Truth, the Word (Logos), who is God, is to be revealed to all of those who will listen. May we join with Jesus and praise our Creator for all that we have especially grace to be saved through His Son. Thank Our Father for creating and sustaining us. If God stops loving us, we cease to exist. I am loved, therefore I am, says Jeremy Driscoll, OSB.
The disciples also play a big part in bringing Jesus to us. The disciples passed the Truth, the Word, God onto us through the Gospels, through the Church, and through the Papacy. Jesus passed onto us the Holy Spirit in the Sacraments, so that we may all become saints. Everything you need to gain heaven and live as a saint is present now (Jesus revealed it all and it is contained in the Church, Bible, Commandments, Sacraments and Creed). Search for it, embrace it, live it, and be full of joy.

Jesus says that he teaches things to people that are childlike. He turned to the Apostles and said “Blessed are they who see what you see, and who hear what you hear.” He tells the Apostles that they are blessed to see the coming of the messiah. Jesus didn’t just teach the teachers and the scholars, He taught the poor, the sick, and the young. He even taught the women, who were considered less than men back then. Jesus doesn’t leave out anybody. He loves everyone, and so should we.
In today’s gospel the Lord speaks of how he will give justice to the people and judgement to the others. The gospel speaks many want to see but can not and many who want to hear but cannot for they are the judged.
I think Jesus is trying to tell us that a lot of people have been trying to hear the voice of the Lord but they couldn’t hear it. So Jesus is telling them that they are a special few to be hearing the Word and seeing the Word made flesh
In the Gospel today I think it’s telling us that we should be so thankful. We have so much and people don’t realize it. God has blessed us with the will to have this is this day and age and people don’t turn to him but the opportunity is still there, and if we decide we want to take that opportunity the Lord will be right there waiting for us because he loves us and wants us to be happy.
God’s love is the most powerful thing in the universe
This stuck out to me because it’s true. God’s love is the MOST powerful thing to ever live. God’s love is so powerful because he loves everyone no matter their actions, no matter their consequences, no matter how they treat others, he will always love you and the other people around you and he won’t ever stop doing it, even when we die. When we die is where he will welcome us and he will open up His gates to Heaven and let us through.
“Blessed are the eyes that see what you see”; in this It is telling me that if you choose to see good in the world you will see the good in the world, but if you choose to see the bad in the world you will see the bad and you may never see the good.
“You have revealed them to the child-like.” This line shows that to get to heaven we need to be child-like not child-like as in misbehavior or disrespect but child-like as in a sense of trust that is very difficult to break as father said today in his homily children have a great sense of trust and they trust that God will carry them to where they need to be. If we are child-like we will trust God and let him take the wheel.
In today’s scripture it talks about God’s love. God’s love is the most powerful thing in the universe. St. Paul said “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love”. No matter what, God will always love us even if we are sinners, he will help us get closer to him.
Jesus tells us to be childlike. He does not mean that by being immature and ignorant. He means by being as accepting as a child, being trustful in him, because as we grow up we loose that trust and acceptance. We get that back from God by trusting in him.
God does not need our sacrifice, we need it. Jesus died for us, to wash away all of our sins. Jesus died and to remember that we go to Mass so we can get closer to Him. Jesus gave us everything we need to get to Heaven we just have to make the decision whether we want to have a relationship with Him or not. Jesus wants us to be in Heaven with Him so we have to get to know Jesus and try to get closer to Him.
In the Gospel Jesus says to His disciples, “many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, but did not see it, and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.” He was talking about how His disciples were able to see the Messiah but other people who wanted to see Him did not. Jesus appeared to everyone then because He loved them. Jesus loves everyone and we are very blessed to have His love.
I think Jesus is trying to tell us that Jesus is the son and a lot of people don’t realize that so God has to point it out to everyone.
What Jesus is saying to the apostles is that the Father has revealed the truth to the just, and we are blessed to see what we see, hear what we hear. Are we kind, honest, caring, loving, and just to our neighbors. Are we being rude to the people next to us, if we are being rude to our neighbors we are hurting God. The truth was revealed to the apostles at the pentecost where the Holy Spirit rested on them. They started seeing the truth in the fathers eyes, and heard in the fathers ears. When will we surrender to him. The only way to receive him is to face yourself and surrender. Jesus is the truth, are we going to realize we are blind, naked, dirty, hungry, thirsty, and lost. This all comes to the conclusion that God is the everlasting life. Do not be afraid of what the world has to say, they don’t care for you. God does and he is longing for you.
“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love”. Today I think God is trying to tell me that His love is so strong that nothing can ever break it, even if it doesn’t feel that strong at times. He loves us more than anything, but it may not seem like it sometimes because we push ourselves away from accepting His love. Nothing can explain His love for us, but since He loves us we should love Him back. When we are acting up or being bad He still loves us because nothing in this world or even out of the world could make Him stop loving us. So anytime you feel down or like no one loves you, then remember that God ALWAYS will love you no matter what.
What stands out to me is when it said that God’s love is the most powerful thing in the universe, nothing can destroy it, this stands out to me because, no matter what we do, no matter how much we do it He will always love us more than anything. He will always love us just as much as the nicest person in world he loves all of us and always will. It’s just crazy to think about.
“Blessed are the eyes that see what you see.
For I say to you,
many prophets and kings desired to see what you see,
but did not see it,
and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.”
I think this means that the disciples see things of the Father and they seem so joyful and happy about what the see and hear in Christ, that the other many prophets and kings want to hear it and see it as well, but they dont believe and so they wont hear nor see it. The disciples know how good God is and how good it is in His love.
In this scripture i felt God was telling me to go out and spread the word of God through the sacrements and to also help myself in the mass.
In the Gospel today, Jesus says to His disciples, “Many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, but did not see it, and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.” He was talking about how His disciples were able to see the Messiah but other people who wanted to see Him did not. Jesus appeared to everyone then because He loved them. Jesus loves everybody and we are very blessed to have His love.
Something that I got out of this was that we need to try and stay innocent, like a little child, like Father Jarod said, this world is broken, there are so many bad things happening around the world in everyday lives. If we succumb to the pressure of the world, then we will be just like them, we will be the ones doing the evil things, and our excuse is “well everybody else does it.” That is not how we should think, and in fact do the exact opposite. My favorite bible verse is John 15:18,”If the world hates you, realize it hates me first.” This verse is so powerful in the fact that this is so correct on many levels. If you don’t do the things of the world, than the world would not like you, because you are not doing the things that it wants you to do, and if you do the things of the world, than they will embrace you in open arms, because you are doing the things it wants you to do. Sadly because lots of people don’t have people that will embrace them will open arms, they go the world, to find some peace, and try and find the thing that is missing, but the thing that is missing is Jesus Christ.
“No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.” Jesus is telling us here that only through him can we get to heaven because only he can reveal the good word which he revealed to the disciples and what they put into the bible.
In the Gospel today, Jesus says to His disciples, “Many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, but did not see it, and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.” He was talking about how His disciples were able to see the Messiah but other people who wanted to see Him did not. Jesus appeared to everybody then because He loved them. Jesus loves everybody and we are very blessed to have His love.
In today’s Gospel these words stuck out to me “I give you praise,
Father, Lord of heaven and earth”In these words we are calling God
by all of his names and we are also giving praise to him and in order
to get to heaven we have to praise him and pray to him for help with
our spiritual lives.
God was telling me that everyone is there for a reason and to love one other just as Jesus did to us.
In today’s Gospel God talks about how He has come. He says that many prophets and kings desire to see and to hear what we have heard. We shouldn’t take his words for granted or what he did.
“ALL THINGS HAVE BEEN HANDED OVER TO ME BY MY FATHER” LUKE 10:21-24. Today’s gospel talks about Gods power and truth.Jesus reveals to us that all those who listen will find truth. The diciples play one of the biggest roles to bringing us and the world closer to God
In today’s Gospel, Jesus is praising the Holy Spirit saying that He is glad that The Holy Spirit hid the truth from the wise and the learned and revealed it to the childlike. He says no one knows the Son, but the Father, and no one knows the Father but the Son.
I think it was telling me, asking me why did he came down to the Earth?!
something that really impacted me when i was reading this is that God has the power of the WHOLE UNIVERSE. God Is a almighty being who is older than time itself. God has all the power he directs the wind, the sky’s, and the people. God is more powerful than a king, ruler, or prince/princess. God can direct your soul to heaven or hell. God can decide to kill or you to let you live. But most of all no one in this universe can love you the way he loves you. God loves you in a inmeasurable way. He has infinte mercy and infinite love. God Is a all loving person and can do whatever he wants and you know what he decided to do for us? he decided to send his one and only son down to Earth to die for us so we can have a chance at a second life in heaven, And his onlys sons name was Jesus. Jesus has down everything for us and has loved us since before time was made before we were born before a person ever even thought of us.
I think the scpriture is a reminder that Jesus loves us. We all learn and hear that at mass but a lot of people dont understand it and truly comprehend it. I think the phrase ¨God’s love is the most powerful thing in the universe. Nothing can destroy it.¨ Is meant litteraly. The only thing that can weaken peoples bond with Jesus is themselves. Its not that Jesus loves them less and less its that the person is straying away from him love. I know we hear this all the time but its never to much
I think Jesus is trying to tell me that we need God. We came to know all the good things through him. We must make ourselves like young children, innocent and without the intention of sin. That is when God reveals things to us. We have heard the word of the Lord, we must spread it to those who have not had the wonderful privilege of this. We must draw others to him so that we ourselves can join them with him. We can’t hide from God so instead of running away we should run towards him, and he will have his arms outstretched for us.
St. Paul said, “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love”. this means that nothing and when we say nothing nothing can separate us from God’s love that we should embrace it and stick to it !!
I think the Gospel today is trying to tell us that no matter what we do God will still love us. The Gospel says that not even Hell can seperate us from Gods love so, if we deeply submerge ourselves in gods love like he wants us to i believe we will gain eternal life with him in Heaven.
In the Goslep today it says “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see” I think this means God has blessed us to have the gift of sight that many people take for granted. God has bellessed us so we can see all of his beautiful creations. He can take away our sight if we use it for bad or take it for granted so be thankful for all that he has given you.
This is calling me to follow Christ/Jesus by reading the Bible. I’ve only have prayed. I think its time I read the Bible more often to follow him. The Bible shows evidence/proof the Jesus IS the King. We should try other ways to worship and know God!
We can rejoice when we find him.
you have to trust God with all your heart to be able to see and know God’s love
“I give you praise, Father, Lord of heaven and earth,
for although you have hidden these things
from the wise and the learned
you have revealed them to the childlike.
What I think this means to me is that we need to wait for the time that God will reveal all things to us through praise and worship. And that there is a path for us to heaven .
“A Spirit of counsel and of strength,
a Spirit of knowledge and of fear of the LORD,
and his delight shall be the fear of the LORD.”
This is talking about how strong he is how clever he is how much braveness he has and is not afraid of anything in the way.
The message I got from today’s gospel is that you really don’t need to be great or have a high status in society to be able to see God’s love. You just need to truly love Him as He loves you. Jesus said, “Many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, but did not see it.” This shows that although the kings had high status or were more recognized, they weren’t able to see God’s love. Even the lowest persons eyes can be opened if they truly long for it.
What God is saying to me is no one will really know who you believe in but you and God and only you can do whatever it takes to be his follower.
I feel like its telling us to be childlike and turn to God as our safe place.
“I give you praise, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike.” When Jesus said this, I believe that by “childlike” he meant those who have such innocence and purity and trust, that they are almost blinded by it. One sentence that really stuck with me was, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see.” I don’t know why, but hearing this made me ask myself, “Would I do anything for God?”
In the gospel Jesus is trying to tell us that we need him to get to heaven. God loves you, so if you show love for him by going to mass, going to confession . God will let you enter his kingdom.“Blessed are they who see what you see, and who hear what you hear”.
Today’s Gospel was telling me that no one else knows your relationship with God besides you and Him. It was also saying you may not hear God’s voice but you will eventually if you keep trusting and believing in Him!
In the Gospel today Jesus says, “Such has been your gracious will.” That stuck out to me because Jesus is telling God thank you! And, He also wants us to thank Him for giving us life, and food, water, and everything on Earth.
today’s Gospel talks about “hear what you hear but cant”, that stud out to me because people want to hear what others hear want to understand who God truly is. They just don’t have enough either belief or they just don’t care about God and only thing Religion is a class/ grade. Its not though some schools have religion like that not this one (school). Sorry I got off topic. Another phrase that stood out to me was “see what you see, but can’t” They want to see how much God loves them but can’t They want to know who he is, but they just can’t. So if you want to get better in you’re faith you need to dedicate yourself to faith. You may not even realize it but sometimes you’re closer then ever but you don’t know and give up so don’t give up!!! (on your Faith)
I think today’s Gospel was telling me that God is powerful. “ALL THINGS HAVE BEEN HANDED OVER TO ME BY MY FATHER.” this line in the gospel today reminds me of how God gave us all our own special gifts so that we can spread love and help others. God is the only one powerful enough to do all these things he is omnipotent and everywhere.
What God is trying to tell me in the gospel today is that when he says “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see” saying that bless the ones who think of you before they do an action lets say they are about to commit a sin but they think what would the Lord do and they stop before they are about to commit a sin. When the Lord says that all these people would like to see what the God see’s and that some people desire to see what the Lord see’s and to hear what he hears but the ones that can hear are the ones closest to God so if we want to hear we must build a good relationship with God.
In the Gospel today I think that God is telling us to praise Him and seek to know Him, because any relationship requires the people involved to know each other. If you do not know Him, you cannot have a relationship with Him. I also think God is telling us that we are lucky to be able to hear His word.
something that stuck out to me was in the scripture it talks about how the disciples played a big role in bringing us to Jesus. The disciples passed the truth of God out to people. We should strive to be like the disciples and follow in their footsteps.
What stood out to me in today’s Gospel reading is what Jesus said to his disciples “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. For I say to you, many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, but did not see it, and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.”
My interpretation of this is that that year is blessed because of what people saw and hear but the people before that time wanted to hear about the Messiah and be by the Messiah, and the people currently are bitter and didn’t want to be saved by a poor man’s son.
In the Gospel Jesus says to His disciples, and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.” He was talking about how His disciples were able to see the Messiah but other people who wanted to see Him did not. Jesus appeared to everyone then because He loved them. Jesus loves everyone and we are very blessed to have His love.
In the scripture I think it’s telling us how much God loves us that he would sacrifice anything for us. God loves us so much that he sent his only son to save us, so that we can spend the rest of our time on earth with him then when we die we can live forever with him in heaven.
By saying to be childlike, He means to have the unbroken trust of a child. While some people take it very literally and act goofy and immature, this is not what he intended for it to mean. He wants His brothers and sisters to trust Him and take His hand in life. He so dearly wants us to live the life of joy in Heaven.
Today’s Gospel talks about how much God loves us, something that really stuck out to me was St. Paul said “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.” Noting can or will ever really separate us from God.
jesus in today’s gospel talks about how we cant know the father unless through him i think this means that through the death and resurrection jesus lets us into him and in turn the father all we must do is accept this which is the hardest part but if you trust the lord he will be with you
In today’s gospel the Lord speaks of how he will give justice to the people and judgement to the others. Jesus is trying to tell us that a lot of people have been trying to hear the voice of the Lord but they couldn’t hear it. God is powerful, even if you are worrying about something you should trust in God and know that He has a plan for us and always understands everything.Even if it seems like no one is with you God is with you. God is the only one powerful enough to do all the things he does.
Today, what I got from the Gospel is that God chooses the children to reveal Himself to. Children are the people He chooses I think because they are the ones who will actually listen to Him. Others may listen but children are the ones who will listen the most. We can never outrun His love, His love is a love that is everlasting, even those who don’t want it.
In today’s gospel, Jesus talks about how we have the goodness of God that some people want. “Many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, but did not see it, and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.”
St. Paul said, “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love”. God will always love us no matter what, nothing can separate us from God’s love. So, why don’t we love God as much as He loves us?
In today’s Gospel, Jesus told his disciples that God has given us everything and he loves us very much. The reason why God gave us everything is that He cares for us and loves us very much. Without God’s love, we wouldn’t be here and we wouldn’t be able to receive God. “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. For I say to you, many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, but did not see it, and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.” This part struck me because it made me realize that God’s love for us is bigger than anything else in the whole entire world and He cares for us, even if we sin.
God is telling us to be childlike. God tells us the truths of the kingdom of heaven. That he sacrificed his only son so that we can go to the kingdom of heaven. His love has more power than money, Kings, and world leaders.
The disciples also play a big part in bringing Jesus to us. The disciples passed the Truth, the Word, God onto us through the Gospels, through the Church, and through the Papacy. I always forget how much the apostles did for Jesus. They spread the word about Jesus. They didn’t have to do that but they chose to follow Jesus’s footsteps. The apostles are almost like the backstage people that are helping with a play. If they weren’t there to help then everything Jesus did would have been forgotten or not as big of a deal. The apostles made it where we can learn about Jesus.
In today’s gospel Father was used a lot. Jesus was giving grace to God our Father. Jesus then looks at the disciples and says “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see.For I say to you, many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, but did not see it,
and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.” Jesus is telling them to be great full. Today’s gospel is talking about being thankful which we must be thankful too.
In today’s gospel, Jesus is openly praising the Lord about his gracious will and how he has revealed himself to the childlike. I think that God is always giving us his graces, but like Jesus was in today’s gospel, we need to recognize it and receive it. We are often always so rushed in our daily lives and when we pray, it is just us talking to God and we never turn the table and let him talk to us. I think that a lot of us are too rushed and busy to ever really sit in silence and listen. So I think that it is important to always take time for silence. We need to remember to to listen, acknowledge, and receive God’s gifts.
Jesus says “No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.” This is clearly stating that to get to God you need to get to Jesus. I am 100% sure that God exists because of all the fine-tuning in our universe. Without God, everything would cease to exist. We follow Jesus because he is the closest person to God and our gateway to him.
“Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. For I say to you, many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, but did not see it,
and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.” I think this is a good reminder that we are very blessed to have all the things we do, like freedom of faith. Lots of people in the Old Testament have given their lives for something they never got to see, and that we get to experience weekly.
“not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.” this really stuck out to me because there is nothing stronger than God’s love. Nothing we could ever say or do has the power to do that! Our beliefs, nature, salary, opinions, decisions nothing! God will and would never stop loving us because of our anger, our desires.. our urges. Even though we know this we still shouldn’t abuse this by making bad decisions and thinking “oh its ok God still loves me!” Make it easy on yourself and allow yourself to be deserving of God’s love.
What I learned from this is that we need to believe in God he has already done so much for us so why do we struggle to believe .
Jesus is telling us that we need to trust in God and his plan for us. We need to be like a child, always trusting, never asking questions, and giving our full attention and effort to him. We must not question God’s plan, for he is always right and will always be right, so even if we don’t understand it we need to follow his will like a child follows their parent’s will.
“Many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, but did not see it, and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.” This stuck out to me because it reminded me of jealousy. Jealousy is something that many people struggle with. It can be a very hard thing and it sometimes seems impossible to deal with. Either knowing that you are falling into a hole of jealousy or a friend being jealous of you can be hard. To me the best way to help is to think about all the stuff you are grateful for. We have so much in this world from running water so a roof over our heads if we look all across the world people have to walk miles to get water and even just down the streets we see homeless people everywhere. Another thing is I’ve seen many of my friends get jealous. This isn’t great and we are called to help people. Very subtly I’ve started talking to them and showing stuff in the bible. It can be challenging at times but it can really help them. During this Advent season kinda like lent I like to repent and give up stuff and really reach out of my comfort zone. which goes along with that I’m trying to help many people out and we should all try to do that too. Right now in Advent is a time of giving so we should try our best to give in the sense of spreading the Gospel and advice for others who need help.
I think the quote is meaning God will do everything for us because he loves us forever.“ALL THINGS HAVE BEEN HANDED OVER TO ME BY MY FATHER.” It is saying God hands everything he has to us and he sacrifices everything so we could be happy. He died on the cross for us and our sins.
Gods love is the most powerful thing ever nothing can beat it. He is telling us to believe in him and follow him.
Who did God choose to reveal these things to? He chose the childlike, the uneducated, the vulnerable and anyone who is willing to lose their life so that they might have eternal life.God choose us and not any other because he knows that we can believe in him and love him back as he did for us.
in the Gospel Jesus talks about how children have not lost their childlike wonder. The view of children is magical. They have not lost their curiosity or creativity. God gives them the gift of wisdom over all of the adults and people who are wise in an Earthly way. Jesus isn’t just Earthly. In order to understand the Kingdom and the Faith, we must look at it with eyes such as a child. with wonder and curiosity. For many people long to know what we know, but cannot because they are looking in the wrong way.
I think that it is saying that we must be childlike (trusting and innocent) to fully understand the word of God. If we hide behind a veil of distrust and bad we cannot fully interpret the word of god to its fullest. Many people wish to understand but none of them were childlike or trusting to they couldn’t truly understand what God was telling them.
I think Jesus is trying to tell us that the ones who are “Child like” or the ones who trust in Him will understand what He is saying. It says “You have revealed them to the child like” meaning those who trust in you and truly believe in will see God’s word revealed. So we need to trust in God our savior.
“Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. For I say to you, many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, but did not see it, and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.” I really love this verse because I feel like I try to find Christ in everything. One of my favorite ways to see him is in the sunrise or sunset. Sometimes those things are just so beautiful that they just have to be made by someone as powerful and awesome as our God. Another big way I try to find him is through music. There’s just something about it that tugs on my heart. Music is so so beautiful and it can be expressed in so many way and it’s such a gift to have that. So I feel like today’s Gospel was kind of just telling me that the ways I find Christ are special and to not lose the ways I can see him.
God’s love is the most powerful thing in the universe. Nothing can rule over His love. God gives his love to people who don’t notice Him. These people are child-like, the uneducated, and the vulnerable people. These types of people don’t recognize that God is here for them. Either they truly don’t care or they truly can’t listen to God. We are called to guide these people and to show them that God truly loves them. The Bible can be used to transfer others into a christian life.
“Jesus passed onto us the Holy Spirit in the Sacraments, so that we may all become saints.” this stuck out to me because we need to realize god gave us all the blessings and sacraments we need, however, our decisions (if we choose to make bad ones) can have an effect on our outcome.
In today’s gospel it says “All things have been handed over to me by my father.” I think that this means that all the things we have has been given to us by the father. The father has blessed us in many ways and has handed us our lives and our family’s. This to me mean that all the things we have or had where or are given to us by the father.
The things that stuck out to me in today’s scripture is St. Paul said, “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love”. God will always love us even when we make a mistake he will always love us. No matter what we did or what happened to us he will love us.
St. Paul said, “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love” What St Paul us saying is that God will love us no matter what. Gods love is so strong and nothing can make him stop loving us.
This scripture is telling me that we can never escape God’s love. His love is everywhere we go and is in everyone. He wants us to spread love to everyone and to display His kindness.
What I learned from today’s gospel is that we need to be grateful for what we have. Jesus says to the apostles “many prophets and kings desired to see what you see,but did not see it, and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.” We are fortunate to live in a time when we have the Eucharist, and we know that God is with us, and that he is waiting for us in heaven.
Jesus at first sounds like he is having a conversation with God saying no one knows who the son is except the father and no one knows who the father is except the son.
At the end of the gospel Jesus is kind of telling the disciples how lucky they are to see what they saw and many people wanted to see what they saw but they did not get to.
“For although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike.” Today in the Gospel Jesus tells us that he reveals things to the childlike. There is trust within a child, therefore we need to try to keep that trust and stay innocent. Jesus reveals himself to the innocent and the ones with trust, so that they might believe in him and have eternal life.
I feel like God was trying to tell us that we need to stay innocent. There are so many messed up things in this world that happens everyday. We need to stop following others if it is not the right thing. People always think that since other people are doing it then it is okay for me to do it, well that is not true. Just because others are doing something doesn’t mean that you have to be a follower of their bad choices. Maybe next time people are doing the wrong thing instead of following them and doing the wrong thing with them you can be a leader and start doing what is right. There are so many people in this world that are scared to stand up for what is right but if they see just one person doing what is right then maybe they will join you, and you can lead people the right way instead of everyone doing what is wrong. We all just need to work together and start doing the right thing because that is the best that we can do. Our world is so messed up but we can help make it a better place if just one person does the right thing and stands up for what is right.
” you have revealed them to the childlike.” What I get from this verse is that we are the childlike. Like father said in the homily to be childlike is to have trust. And when someone breaks that trust it is hard to regain. But with God we can heal through whatever has happened because we always know we can trust Jesus. Jesus is the foundation of trust and with him we can get through anything.
In today’s scripture is talks about how God’s power is unimaginable. God is the most powerful being in the universe. God also has the greatest love. God’s love is so unique and big that we don’t even know it.
I think that the gospel is trying to tell us is that, God is one of the most powerful beings. He could erase the world if he wanted to, or make it so we would have no conscious and just worship him non-stop. But he didn’t, he made it so we have a conscious and we can live a life. God gave us his love and gave us life and most of us don’t even care, or don’t believe he exists. We need to believe in God just like he believes we can go to heaven if we try.
I think Jesus is trying to tell us that God’s love for us is so great that “nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love”.
Something that stuck out to me is that Jesus reminds us that he is one with the father and that he is the King of the Universe.
“Who did God choose to reveal these things to? He chose the childlike, the uneducated, the vulnerable and anyone who is willing to lose their life so that they might have eternal life.” To me this means that it doesn’t matter how rich you are or how popular or if your better at sports or smarter. God still loves us all the same. He wants us to love him eternally.
I believe that God is telling me that the only way we can get to the father is through Jesus.
“Many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, but did not see it, and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.” This stood out to me because it reminds me to be thankful. We should be thankful even about the little things because some people don’t have the privilege to experience things you do. We should be thankful for all God has showed to us.
Today In the Gospel i think God is trying to tell us
to give are life to him and he will give us everlasting life .
In todays gospel Jesus tells us that If we just trust in God he will reveal great things.Sometimes things happen that we can’t control, but we need to be able to trust in God always even in hardships.
Jesus said “you have revealed them to the childlike”. For me Jesus is saying that we must be honest and trustworthy. We have to be able to love everybody. We must be also be happy since nothing bad has happened to us. But, since we live in a broken world nobody can stay childlike for so many years. Especially when you are older.
I think he is trying to tell me that I need to be thankful for what I have because other people don’t have it and they might want it really bad but then I don’t take care of it so now I’m just wasting it and that is not good.
what I understood was that God always puts us first even if we hide things and loves us no matter what even if we did something bad
God’s love is the most powerful thing in the universe and no one or anything can destroy it. I loved how it mentioned Romans 8:38 “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love” That’s one of my favorite verses so that part of today’s Scripture stuck out to me. I also liked how it said to search it, embrace it, live it, and be full of joy.
I think this Gospel is talking about how I should listen to Jesus through the Bible. I think he’s trying to tell me to go out and spread the word of Jesus.
In the Bible i think it is saying that we have to be like children to enter the kingdom of God it also says “many prophets and kings desired to see what you see” So maybe they were not like children when they were here on earth and now they desire to see and reach the kingdom of heaven. We all have to give up our lives for Jesus/God because he will be the one to save us.
I think what God is trying to tell us here today is that we need to trust him. When he says that he keeps the things away from the educated and wise, yet reveals them to the childlike, it means that when we listen to his word, we must trust him intently. As opposed to perhaps being educated, they might point out contradictions or blasphemy. However, the childlike? They listen and take in the information. They trust what’s being said is true. We have to regain the trust that we lost when we experienced betrayal. To be educated is to know what people’s motives are. To be childlike is to not, and we keep the trust. When God tells us the Good News, we have to trust him, or in other words, be childlike—to be innocent. We have to trust God, because if we don’t, we wind up confused and hesitant to continue following God. So in the end, trust God and his words. Do not twist it in this broken world, for God is a spirit who keeps his promises true.
In today’s Gospel reading it is taking about how we need to trust in Jesus and we must be childlike. He has a plan for us here on this earth and then in heaven. We must always listen to him and focus on him. Jesus comes first before anyone else because he is your savior. ” Not even the powers of hell separate our love”. that line really stuck out to me because it shows and tells how great God’s love is for you! God Loves you!!
“I give you praise, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike.” Everything seems so much better and easier when we are kids. We don’t have to take care of ourselves or worry about anything too much. As kids we also wonder a lot because we don’t know a lot yet. But as we get older we mature and usually we don’t wonder as much because we think we know it now. I think Jesus was saying don’t lose your childlike wonder, because that’s where he reveals himself to us.
Today at the end of the Gospel I think Jesus is trying to tell the disciples that they are special, and that they have a special gift and talent to be able to see and really understand what Jesus is saying to them. In the first part of the Gospel I think that he is not just saying that only people that know the father are known by him because this is not true the Father knows everyone. I think what Jesus is trying to say is that only those that really open up and try to be with him will understand him.
in todays gospel Jesus tells me that he is the only king , he has more power than any king. Jesus’s love is more powerful than anyones love.
what stuck out to me is when it said that Christ is the king of are universe and some people don’t believe in God. I feel like we need to get the Kings word out to more people so they can see how good God is.
´´Jesus Christ is King of the Universe.´´ This stuck out to me becasue Jesus is are king he can help you with anything as long as you take time out of your day to talk and listen to him.
God should be our safe place. We should feel safe when we turn to him. He should feel safe enough to turn to him and put our faith and trust in him.
I think Jesus is trying to tell us that if you do what He says and follows Him till end then you will go to Heaven but if you do not do what He says and doesn’t follow Him then you will not go to Heaven and have a good relationship with Him. Which all He wants is for you to go to Heaven and be with Him because that’s what He’s been calling for everyone to do.
with Advent here. we can welcome Jesus in our lives. and get our souls ready for lent. The disciples served Jesus and brought out his teachings among the world. Our responsibilities are to do what the apostles did. Encourage people to pray, go to mass and love each other.
Today Jesus taught me that Nothing is impossible and that he will care for you no matter what. Also that he will send people your way that you may need in your life to help you.
“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love.” This stuck out to me because it shows how powerful God’s love is forus.
In today’s Gospel God talks about how He has come. He says that many prophets and kings desire to see and to hear what we have heard. We shouldn’t take his words for granted or what he did.
He was talking about how His disciples were able to see the Messiah but other people who wanted to see Him did not. This shows that although the kings had high status or were more recognized, they weren’t able to see God’s love. I believe we whom want to attain him will gain eternal life with him in Heaven.
