“MY HEART IS MOVED WITH PITY FOR THE CROWD.” MT 15:29-37

Humbly submit your will to God (thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.

Prayer Prompt before reading MT 15:29-37: Come, Holy Spirit, teach me how to pray, interpret the Scriptures for me so that I may know the Truth about who God the Father and God the Son are so that I may know who I am.

Have you ever felt alone, unloved, unwanted, lame, blind, or mute? Have you ever been frustrated because you keep committing the same sins? Jesus came down to save us, comfort us, and be with us always so we are never alone. “Lo, behold I am with you always.” MT 28:20 He says, “My heart is moved with pity” for all of us.

When your life is being torn into many pieces and stretched in so many directions (especially this time of year) take comfort in Jesus. Stop and give those crosses to Him, he understands. He has been through it. If we give Jesus a little bit of our time each day, He will turn it into a great multitude of grace and blessings. God cannot be outdone in generosity.

He takes little and makes it into a multitude. This reminds me of the quote on the seminarian poster 3 years ago, “God does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called.” He takes ordinary people like you and me and does extraordinary things through us! Let God work in your life, find your call, and love with joy in this life and the next. He made you for a purpose and wants your salvation more than you do. May we eat and be satisfied!

Today’s Advent challenge: Give a little more time to God, reap the blessings. Turn your radio to K-love Christian radio or EWTN and listen to it more. Download the Laudate App or Hallow App on your phone or tablet and pray.

We are all saints in training! Be a servant, be a saint today!

Jesus understands how we feel. He became human to save us and to understand us. He loves us, and He knows how we feel. He wants to love us, and always will. His love is everlasting and infinite. Nothing you can ever do will make Him stop loving us. We love to try to do our own things, but Jesus tells us to follow Him. This is hard to do, but we must do it if we want to seek the kingdom of heaven.

“Lo, behold I am with you always.” MT 28:20
This verse stuck out to me because it shows us that He will never leave us. Jesus will never leave you, no matter the cost. You do something bad, he won’t leave you, Jesus is always going to be there, as long as you let him into your soul, if you don’t let him in he still won’t leave you. No matter the cost, Jesus WILL NOT leave you, ever in eternity.

Something that I got out of this is that Jesus can do whatever he wants, if he wants to do it, even though it is hard to comprehend, Jesus IS God, they are they same yet different at the same time. When Jesus feels compassion he can do whatever he wants, and that is something that we should realized and put our complete trust in him.

In todays gospel “Great crowds came to him,
having with them the lame, the blind, the deformed, the mute,
and many others.” this means they believe he could heal and save them. Later after 3 days he said to his disiples go get fish and bread I do not want to send them home hungry for they might collapse along the way This shows the lords care to us.

Today Jesus cures many people of being mute or deaf or even sinful. God will always forgive us if we sin we just have to go to Him and confess our sins. Jesus broke the bread with the people showing His care for everybody. He didn’t want them to be hungry when they traveled back to their towns or houses so Jesus fed them. This is showing how much generosity Jesus had for everybody. Jesus wants to be friends with us and we have to get to know Him too.

” God does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called” this quote stands out to me because, it just shows that no matter what he loves all of us the same, no matter how bad we think we are, He loves us just as much as the next person. God loves us so much and He always will, no matter what happens. God’s love is so powerful.

In the Gospel I think Jesus is saying that we shouldn’t worry. We should be afraid because he always has our backs and he would never let something bad happen to us. Jesus saw that the people were hungry so he gave them food and didn’t let them suffer. He does that to us just in a different way. instead of giving us food when we are hungry he gives us himself when we are lonely. He knows how great we can be and that we can all make it to heaven.

In this story, Jesus was sitting on the mountain and the people of the town who were deformed, blind, and naked. They were healed and they proclaimed it. They placed their struggles at the foot of Jesus. Jesus has the power to destroy evils with a look in the eye. Jesus takes those evils to the place where they are punished. We are not evil, but we do need to realize we did something bad and we need to ask God for his forgiveness. Jesus feeds the rest of the crowd with the food that never runs out. That is his him, he never runs out. His word is still said at every mass and has never stopped being proclaimed. They were filled with his love and they were happy for what Jesus has done. That is what Jesus does. Heals and restores the hunger for Jesus so we can always have him in us as we are in him.

In todays Gospel we have the story of feeding the five thousand. This is the first iteration of the Eucharist and Jesus takes the bread and the fish and duplicates them so there is enough food for all of them. The main part I want to focus on is when It says they haven’t eaten in three days because they have been following Jesus I think we all need to be more like those people and trust God more.

In today’s Gospel Jesus and His disciples distribute bread and fish among a large crowd of people. He performed miracles for these people and they praised Him. Then Jesus said, “My heart is moved with pity for the crowd, for they have been with me now for three days and have nothing to eat.” Jesus loved everyone there and felt bad for them because they were hungry and had nothing to eat. God wants the best for us and He wants to be with us in heaven. He has given us the Bible and Scriptures to help us, we just have to accept them.

I think part of what its trying to tell us is that we need to truly know how to pray. When some people pray they are drifting away in prayer while others arent paying attention to what they are saying and drifting away in there own thoughts. Jesus reminds us that all prayers have a deep meaning that we cant just understand by speaking from memory but to speak and thinks of every word and what it means.

That’s why Jesus came down from heaven to come and save us so we can live with him without our brokenness and that we can love one another and be in eternal peace and relax and be with your savior. And when your broken and don’t know what to do that is the perfect oppurtunity to go and follow Jesus because he is the light, he is the right, and he is justous. Today’s Gospel is about Jesus healing, and healing, and not wanting the people he leaves to go away hungry (feeding of 5,000 I think). The moral is that God can do many things give you food, shelter, and love, But you need to do something for him to you can’t just ignore him and treat him like he’s nothing. So always help people (unless its for a bad case).

The message that I got from the gospel today is that trust is an important factor in our relationship with God. In the gospel today it said that many disabled people went up to Jesus because they had faith that He could heal them. Because they had faith in Jesus, He then also blessed them with food to eat before they had to leave Him so that they would not be in danger of starvation. In one of the last sentences of the gospel, it says, “They all ate and were satisfied.” This can be interpreted as having faith and trusting that God will lead you throughout your life is the only thing that any person needs to be happy. True happiness comes from God and nothing else.

The crowds were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the deformed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind able to see, and they glorified the God of Israel.”
I really liked today’s Gospel. What really stuck out to me is how, after Jesus performed all of his miracles for the people, they actually rejoiced and praised God. What I think that this Gospel means to me is that we need to be healed by Jesus, spiritually, to be able to come into the Kingdom of God. Some of us need to be healed more than others! And now, we can do that in simple ways such as helping, going to Mass and receiving communion, and even confession! It can be very easy to follow God if we just jet him in and give him a chance!

and gave them to the disciples, who in turn gave them to the crowds.
They all ate and were satisfied.
They picked up the fragments left over–seven baskets full. Always trust in your Savior for he will guide you to heaven. God wants the best for us and will always try to make the best happen to us. I feel like when life doesn’t go our way we tend to think everything’s going wrong and that God isn’t with us because our way didn’t go as planned. When our life doesn’t go the way we want its because Jesus has a different plan for us. Jesus is guiding us to his plan for us not our plan for ourselves. We just need to trust in Him and in the end everything will be okay and how He wanted it to be.

The Gospel today is a symbol of God’s power of creation. 7 loaves turning into 7 baskets of leftovers after a large crowd was filled by it is scientifically impossible, but He did it. Just like how in the beginning God created the entire universe out of nothing. He has the power over everything and can break whatever “laws of physics” or anything He wants to because he has the power over everything.

In the first part of today’s gospel, Jesus gathers all of the lame, the blind, the deformed, the mute, and many others. As they are at his feet, he cures them and sends them on their way. But, before they go, Jesus asks the apostles, “How many loaves do you have?” they answered, “Seven, and a few fish.” Then, God did a miracle and made it so they could feed 5,000 people from the little food they had. This shows that God has all power, and nothing is impossible with the Lord.

In today’s Gospel, Jesus healed the lame, blind, deformed, mute, and many others. Jesus also fed the people (Feeding of the 5,000 I think). Jesus loves everyone and he cares for everyone. He showed proof when He healed people with disabilities and after that He fed them. We should trust in Jesus so that He can help us with our daily lives and get even closer to God. “MY HEART IS MOVED WITH PITY FOR THE CROWD.” This part struck me because even Jesus, the all powerful, cared for the people.

In today’s Gospel we were reminded of all that Jesus can do. He can heal, give sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf. Jesus can do anything! We just always have to trust and pray. If we need help we can sit down and really pray and we will see answers from God.

In today’s gospel I think it was saying how we do not have to fear. We should not have to fear because we have Jesus. Jesus always has our backs in things and always will. Jesus is always there for us in our good and bad time and wants us to be with him in the after life in heaven.

The Gospel today is telling me to let Jesus run my life and just trust in him. We try and make our own path and that’s not how it works. We don’t get to create our own path, we are supposed to follow God’s path. God is always reaching a hand out to us but we never take it. We must take his hand and let him lead the way, and if we do that we get to heaven.

Something that stuck out to me in today’s Gospel is “my heart is moved”. This stuck out to me because when you pray seriously and don’t take it as a joke then your heart will be moved. We need to start praying the right way because if we are going to joke around with our prayer then what’s the point in even praying.

“When your life is being torn into many pieces and stretched in so many directions (especially this time of year) take comfort in Jesus. ” this tells us that Jesus really DOES understand us! sometimes we feel alone, because maybe we have something that we need to talk about but it feels like nobody understands it, so we choose to keep it to ourselves. This is when we need God to help us.

We are humans who have a fallen nature for doing the same sin over and over again. It’s as if our sins were a huge part of our life. There are only so many ways to stop sinning, and one of those ways being to spend time with Jesus. Spending time with Jesus results in us understanding that we are truly loved.

Jesus is our cure and our food. People gathered at the thousands to get a chance to see Jesus and to let him cure whatever ails them. He wanted to feed the 5,000, but there wasn’t enough food. When he was told this he broke the bread and multiplied it to feed his crowd. Just as he fed them, he feeds and cures us. If we turn to Jesus with faith, hope and love there is nothing he can’t do for us. He wants to feed and cure us but we have to follow and allow him too.

The thing that I got out of today’s gospel is that God never stops loving. Even after curing the blind, mute, lame, and deformed He was still worried for the people there. So He made 7 loaves and a few fish into food to feed them all. It also tells that God can do all things,

“They placed them at his feet, and he cured them.” one sentence to describe the gospel today- Jesus cares about us!!! He wouldn’t just use His Divine power on people he doesn’t love and care for. He knew these people, even though they didn’t know Him. He knew them each by name and healed them for their specific needs. “My heart is moved with pity for the crowd,” even more evidence that Jesus doesn’t want us to suffer. In the same Gospel, He not only cared for those with big problems who had come to be healed, but He helped the whole crowd who had come to see Him, simply because He cared for them.

I think that the gospel is trying to tell us is that, people are sad sometimes. Its apart of life. I have never seen anyone not sad before in my life. If your sad then go to God, he multiplied some bread and fish for 5000 people. Why can’t he do that to your happiness. There no reason why he cant because he can and he will! All you have to do is to pray to him and tell him that you love him back. He wants to be in our life, he want to get to know us. But he can’t when all we do is just come to him when in need. He wants to be by our side but we just only come to him in desperate times. There wouldn’t be any time where we are sad or angry or any negative emotion if we let God be by our sides at all time, not whenever we need him. We need to let God stay with us at all times. Then we can live our lives.

Today’s gospel is about Jesus feeding a large crowd with only seven loaves of bread and a couple fish. It teaches us that with God all things are possible, and that he will provide for us always. Especially since he gives us the food of eternal life in the Eucharist.

“My heart is moved with pity for the crowd, for they have been with me now for three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, for fear they may collapse on the way.” I just realized this while reading this line from the Gospel. Jesus was in the tomb for three days and the crowds were with him for three days without food. In this Gospel, Jesus gives them bread, which foreshadows the Eucharist. And he gave us the Eucharist as a way to help us get to heaven. The Eucharist is our strength and our nourishment and Jesus says in the Gospel today “I do not want to send them away hungry, for fear that they may collapse on the way.” This Gospel is foreshadowing of Jesus’ death, the last supper, and our journey with him now. Kind of crazy when you think about it.

“They placed them at his feet, and he cured them.” I think this verse shows how powerful Jesus is. We are never too far from Jesus to be healed and we should not be afraid that he won’t forgive us in spite. Jesus is all forgiving and we need to remember that. The Gospel also talks about how he does not want to send the crowd away hungry. it is just like how he does not want us looking for more than him. He is all the food we need to be at peace.

All the struggles of my everyday life will be handled. I will find more peace and happiness in life if I just trust him and let go of my sins. Jesus forgives us after we commit the same sin over and over again. If we give our life and our hardships to Jesus, he will cure them and we will be saved. “Let go and let God.”

Seeing him and feeling him said he was human and him doing signs and wonders shows he is divine to

I think what God is trying to tell us here today is that Jesus is omnipotent. The deformed, lame, blind, and mute all came to Jesus and they were cured! Later, with seven loaves and a few fish, they were able to feed 5,000 people. This is the power of Christ. When in doubt, go to Christ, for he knows what he is doing and it ultimately comes out as successful. Trust the Lord with his plan and follow it! Your sins will be effortlessly wiped off from you because of God’s merciful power. He is truly amazing. Our God can truly defy science, truly omnipotent. Trust in him and he shall do extraordinary things.

Jesus understands how we feel when we sin. Of course Jesus felt that way at least at some point when he was nailed to the cross. Its okay to sometimes feel this way. It really stuck out to me when it said that how we felt during the time when we would keep and keep committing the same sins. Another part that really stuck out to me was when it said that Jesus is there to comfort us. He is there for you when you feel unloved or useless. Instead pray to Jesus give those crosses to Jesus and pray for forgiveness and love. Go to confession. Remember that Jesus said do not worry about anything he is there for you Jesus has your back always you should be grateful you have a father on your back. I loved how it said that Jesus knew everyone and everyone’s name he knows you because he created you in his image. Have a good rest of your day!! God loves you! God Bless!!

Jesus took the time to stop for the crowd before he kept walking and preaching. He could have kept going and left behind who ever wasn’t strong enough to keep walking. He didn’t have to feed them, but he chose to act on his feelings of compassion and pity. We should follow his example by having pity and help those who need it or are struggling, even if we don’t really know them we can still care about them and take the time to help them.
