Prayer Prompt before reading LK 1:26-38: Come, Holy Spirit, teach me how to pray well, interpret the Scriptures for me so that I may know the Truth about who God the Father is and God the Son so that I may know who I am.
MARY SAID, “BEHOLD, I AM THE HANDMAID OF THE LORD. MAY IT BE DONE TO ME ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD.” LK 1:26-38
Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
In Scott Hahn’s book “Joy to the World”, he writes about angels being very present as God brings His Son into the world. The angels appear to Zechariah, Joseph, Mary, the shepherds, and many other Old Testament figures. They are God’s messengers, pure Spirits, highly intelligent, and God loves us so much He gave each one of us our own angel to protect us.
When is the last time you talked to your guardian angel? When is the last time you asked God for a miracle? They happen every day and God is present everywhere all of the time. We are reminded of this during Christmas. Emmanuel means “God is with us”.
Jesus says, “Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” MT 28:20
“For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.” MT 18:20 He is truly present when we pray together! We can also make spiritual communions and send our Spirit to Him to visit Him in front of the tabernacle or monstrance any time throughout our day/night. Most importantly, Jesus gives us Himself in the Eucharist.
When we go to Mass and adoration, Emmanuel “God with us”, is in the consecrated host! Take time to slow down, take a deep breath, and recognize God is with us ALL OF THE TIME as we prepare for the greatest act God has ever done for His people. He comes down as one of us and eventually is going to show us that our lives are meant to be given away!
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst. But I said to you that you have seen Me, and yet do not believe. All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.
For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.” JN 6:35-40
Jesus makes it very clear that He is present with us and He has the power to save us and lift us up on the last day. The key: holiness. What is holiness according to St. Louis de Montfort, deny yourself. Bishop Barron quotes, “I’m most myself not when I resist God, not when I try to become God, but when I surrender to God.” The key: do the Will of God. How do you know if you are doing God’s Will? Bishop Barron says when we see the fruits of the Spirit in our life: joy, love, peace, modesty, chastity, self-control, kindness, goodness, patience, generosity, gentleness, and faithfulness.
Daily Examen: Did you pray today? Are you in the state of grace? Are you doing your daily tasks? Yes, then you are doing the will of the Father–Fr. Mike Schmitz
God gave us His Son to reconcile us with Him after the Fall of Adam and Eve. The statement I begin with every blog is, “Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.” Why? The center of the message of Christ coming into the world, during His life, and when He dies is to do the Will of the Father.
In the Gospel today, Mary says,”Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word. Then the angel departed from her.” LK 1:38 Mary’s fiat and our fiat is how we respond to the Father who is trying to act upon us and whether we allow Him to each day with each decision.
God chose Mary to be the instrument to bring His only Son into the world. On the cross, Jesus asks us to bring Mary into our homes (lives) speaking to John. It is only right for us to ask Mary to intercede for us and bring our souls closer to her Son, so we too may enter into God’s glory.
In St. Louis de Montfort’s, “Total Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary”, he claims this consecration is the quickest way to holiness. Therefore, as we begin to humble ourselves before God, submit our will to Him like Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we will begin to become holy. This is what God made us for, to be holy, to be like Him and have a share of His Kingdom.
The Word became flesh to make us “partakers of the divine nature”: “For this is why the Word became man, and the Son of God became the Son of man: so that man, by entering into communion with the Word and thus receiving divine sonship, might become a son of God.” “For the Son of God became man so that we might become God.” “The only-begotten Son of God, wanting to make us sharers in his divinity, assumed our nature, so that he, made man, might make men gods” (CCC 460).
“For the Son of God became man so that we might become God,” is a quote from St. Athanasius in his work On the Incarnation.
Allow God into your heart today and bring a little bit of the Christmas spirit into your heart. Fall to your knees and worship Him with all of the angels. Miracles will abound!
Today’s challenge: Give your heart to God by doing His Will. It requires sacrifice and patience, but sacrifice brings joy and peace. He has given us His all, it is only fitting we give our all to Him!
Be a servant, become a saint!
#Christian YODO (You Only Die Once; we will live again!)
The angel Gabriel went to Mary and told her that she was chosen by God. For Mary to say yes she would have to have full trust in God. So like Mary we need to trust God as she did.Mary started the whole life of Jesus.
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst.” This stood out to me because in it, Jesus was saying that a way to be relieved of your sins and go to Heaven is to eat his flesh (Eucharist).
This is saying that if we allow God to work through us, then we will be called holy
Mary’s faith in this Gospel is very strong because this just happened out of the blue for her and she immediately had faith in God and His plan for her. This is how we need to live, we must immediately say yes to God and what He has in mind for us. This is how we can to our lives to the fullest potential.
MARY SAID, “BEHOLD, I AM THE HANDMAID OF THE LORD. MAY IT BE DONE TO ME ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD.” LK 1:26-38. Something that stood out to me about this was that Mary is saying that she will be the mother of Jesus according to the word of God.
Today’s Gospel talks about the annunciation, how Gabriel visited Mary, and told her how she will give birth to the son of God, Jesus. Mary gave birth to Jesus, and loved Jesus, cared for him, and was even there when he died on the cross. Mary shows how strong a mothers love is, how a mother would and will do anything for their child. Mary is a very Holy and loving mother. She is a great example for all women to look up to.
In today’s Gospel, an angel appears to Mary. She was chosen to bring our savior into the world! When Mary “agreed” to have Jesus, her whole world changed. That is what happens to us. When we receive Jesus and trust in Him, our world is shifted and it is brighter and better. Knowing that you have someone by your side all the time is a great feeling. Jesus is that someone. He has been by us for our whole lifetime. We need to trust in Him and let Him take control. We need to say yes, and let Him come into our hearts.
Today’s Gospel Mary our mother says the most important words in the history of man kind which was the yes to God to conceive the savior of the world Jesus Christ our Savior. St. Gabriel comes down from heaven and blesses Mary and tells her the good news that she will be the mother of the word incarnate and all she has to do is say yes to God. She does and she also says not my will, but yours.
“The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.”
In today’s Gospel it talks about Mary conceiving a child without any relations to a man, and then the Angel Gabriel said that the Holy Spirit would come upon Mary, which signalizes that God is great and that He works in great ways. He is loving, and He shows us that he loves us through and through in the Body of Christ. He is loving and caring. “The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow in anger, and of great kindness.” He follows this and he won’t ever stop caring.
Jesus never had to die for us. he could have backed away or said he was not Gods son. he had every right to not carry the cross and to not save us from sins. they are our sins they are not Jesus sins. The only thing God wants in return is a realiship with him and us. he could of made us do the hardest thing in the world but he chose he only wants a reliship with us nothing more nothing less.
I think the phrase ¨When is the last time you talked to your guardian angel?.¨ is important because its a good point. I dont think we give enough credit and praise to them. They protect us from things we couldnt imagine and I bet people forget they even exist. Adn right after thay thr phrase ¨When is the last time you asked God for a miracle? They happen every day¨. is important because we dont realize what miracles really are, we think they people surviving the impossible because of God which is true but more miracles happen then we think like. Every baby born is a miracle and all of us havve the miracle of life and being able to go to school and have a family and shelter.
Today’s Gospel told me that nothing is impossible with God! When Mary finds out she is having a baby she gives her Faith to God, and she doesn’t give up on her Faith! She stays loyal to God and trusts that His plan is right! God always has a plan for us and sometimes we don’t even see some of the stuff He has planned for us coming. We just have to keep believing and trusting in God!
It was telling me that Jesus Christ came not to do HIS will, but the will of God!
In today’s Gospel, it talks about the angel Gabriel sending the message to Mary that Jesus will be conceived in Mary’s womb. Angels play an important role in life outside of the Gospel, God gave us angels to protect us from harm and keep us safe.
“for nothing will be impossible for God.” really stuck out to me in today’s Gospel. Gabriel showed up to Mary with the news that she was having a baby without having relations with a man. This is an example that with God all things are possible and we just need trust in Him.
In today’s scripture reading, I really love how it said that when was the last time we talked to our guardian angels. Every single day with Jesus at mass is a miracle. When is the the last time you asked for a miracle to happen? Jesus gives us Himself in the Eucharist. He is present with us in our daily lives every single day of our lives on earth. I really love how it says that when we trust God we are not hungry, when we trust God we are not thirsty, this shows how great God is and shows that God is pure and he has everything that you and he loves you for who you are. He comes down as one of us and eventually is going to show us that our lives are meant to be given away. God has a plan for you on this earth, he has a mission and a will for you to complete. He did his part, now it’s your turn to do your part. Jesus makes it very clear that He is present with us and He has the power to save us and lift us up on the last day. God chose you for this earth and he loves you very much and he knows you will do your part to complete his plan for you. Give your heart and give it your best to give your heart to Jesus by doing your will. Have a good rest of your day!! God loves you so much he died for you!! God Bless!! Viva Cristo Rey!!
Sometimes you have no idea what is going on in your life. Your scared of what might happen or something happened and feel like your life is falling apart. But, when this happens there is only on way to get out of it. And that is to have complete trust in something way bigger than you. Someone that knows your future and created you in his perfect image. Just like Mary did in this gospel. Even though she had no idea what was going to happen to her she said “let it be done to me.”
Take time to slow down, take a deep breath, and recognize God is with us all the time.Jesus makes it very clear that He is present with us and He has the power to save us and lift us up on the last day. The key: holiness.God chose Mary to be the instrument to bring His only Son into the world.
What stood out to me was this “Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” Because this sentence is what saved the world
Angels are God’s messengers, pure Spirits, highly intelligent, and God loves us so much He gave each one of us our own angel to protect us.Make sure to pray to your garden angel so he will give you special graces. And your garden Angel will see every thing you do.
In today’s gospel, the angel Gabriel appears to Jesus and tells her that she will have a son named Jesus. She wonders how she will receive the baby even tho she doesn’t have a relationship with anybody. The angel tells her that the H.S. will come upon her and she will receive the body. Mary agrees and she receives Jesus.
Today’s Gospel tells about the annunciation. I guess this is expected because this is the solemnity of the annunciation. It talks about Mary’s yes and how the Holy Spirit conceived despite the facts that she had no relations with Joseph. Mary’s yes should help inspire us to bend to God’s will and follow him. Mary responded with a Holy answer and was delighted for her position in the world’s salvation. We should take this as inspiration to do the same.
I think today’s Gospel is teaching us that miracles are more common than we think, and that we should pray for them more often
The angel Gabriel visited a young woman named Mary to tell her that God had chosen her for a special miracle. Even though she wasn’t married yet, Gabriel explained that the Holy Spirit would help her become pregnant with a son named Jesus, who would be the Savior of the world. Mary was confused at first, but she trusted God completely and said yes to the plan. This story shows that nothing is impossible for God, especially since Mary’s older relative Elizabeth was also having a miracle baby at the same time.
In today’s gospel it talks about Mary’s yes. It is implying that we should say yes when Jesus calls on us. We choose to follow Jesus and by following Him eventually we will be called on to serve him. Whether it’s helping someone with something, sacrificing something, or giving something. We must always say yes just like Mary.
In the Gospel God sent the angel Gabriel to Mary and Mary said yes her Fiat. When Mary said yes she became the new Eve. Although Mary was scared at first she still said yes and trusted in God completely I think that is it important to always trust God even if his plan doesn’t make since to us it will always work out if we keep our trust in him.
Todays gospel shows that nothing is imposible with God. The angel comes to Mary and tells her that she will bear a son though she has no relations with a man. It also tells her that her cousin Elizabeth is pregnant though she is barren and too old to have a kid.
I love this gospel because it was when Mary said yes. It also says the phrase that it talks about the most in the Bible, “Do not be afraid”. We should not fear because God is with us no matter what. We should trust his plan for us.
in the gospel God asked Mary to carry Jesus in her. which was a hard thing to do at such a young age. Still she trusted in God and said yes to Bearing a child. They told her that Jesus would be Christ and save the world and excepted humbly. I think we should be more like Mary and say yes to God.
In today’s Gospel, an angel, Gabriel, visits Mary and says to her, “Hail, Full of Grace, The Lord is with you”. He then tells her that she will bear a son and will name him Jesus, he will be called the most high and his kingdom will last forever. She panics because she has had no relations with a man. The angel tells her that it will be okay and to trust in God. God Bless.
In the Gospel today, it talked about how the angel Gabriel came down to Mary and how she conceived. I think this is really important to us Christian because this is literally how Jesus was born and is Mary were to say no we would definitely not be here right now in this amazing Christian School.
¨Do not be afraid, Mary,¨ stuck out to me because Mary shouldnt be afraid because she will be giving birth to Jesus Christ and it will change her life for the better.
I love this story because it reminds me of spending time with my family at Christmas and It is one of my favorite pieces of scripture.
Today, the Gospel taught me that God’s words does in fact change reality. When the Holy Spirit told Mary that she was going to have a baby., Mary didn’t believe the Holy Spirit, because she had no relations with a man. Then, Mary started to believe the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit had said,” For that nothing will be impossible for God.” Then Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.”
In today Gospel, it says, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” This is Mary saying yes to God. By doing this the world was saved. She lend by example in that we should always say yes to God. This was the moment in time that changed the world. In a little town, in a small home, the world changed with one sentence. This goes to show how humble God is.
this is saying that it is not going to be easy to falow christ just as christ’s life was not easy the disition that mary made was hard expeshily with telling Josph about it.
Jesus says, “Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” MT 28:20
This line really sticks out to me because Jesus will always be with us through the highs and the lows. He is our father and our brother. He would never leave us behind, because he loves us and would die for us.
In today’s gospel the angel greeted Mary and she was conceived with Jesus. At first Mary did not believe the angle because she did not have any relations with anyone. Then the angel said the the Most High will overshadow you.
in today´s gospel is says” The angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary. And coming to her, he said, “Hail, full of grace!¨ it stuck out to me because at that time Mary thought she was just a normal girl but then the angle said that and it changed everything.
what Mary just said was basically “I will have your son and I will let him die for you and all the world.” A lot of pressure I know. Yet Mary still said yes. We can do the same.
“of His Kingdom there will be no end,” this quote reminds of the Our Father. In the Our Father it says “Thy Kingdom come thy will be done,” it is God’s eternal kingdom, not ours, therefore we should obey God’s laws just as we obey the laws in our country.
“When is the last time you talked to your guardian angel? When is the last time you asked God for a miracle?” This stood out to me while reading this Gospel because I feel like when we get older, the more we forget about our guardian angel and to ask for a miracle from God. We get busier and busier, putting God and prayer to the side.
So this is the Anunciation, and what I take away from it is one of angel Gabriel’s lines which was “for nothing will be impossible with God”. Which he is saying that if you have faith and believe in God His Son, and the Holy Spirit. Anything can become reality.
God is always with us everywhere. He is present in all different kinds of ways. He is most present during Mass. He gave us the Eucharist because of how much he loves us. Not only that but everyone has a guardian angel given by God to protect us. Angels are often called messengers of God but I’ve also heard them be called God’s eyes. God is also present as the Holy Spirit who comes down every Mass to bless the gifts.
In the Gospel today Mary was visited by the angel gabriel. He told her to not be afraid and that she was to have a son named Jesus. Mary said yes, her fiat. Since she said yes she allowed us to be saved by Him.
“Allow God into your heart today and bring a little bit of the Christmas spirit into your heart. Fall to your knees and worship Him with all of the angels. Miracles will abound!” If you let Him in your heart your life will be 100 times better. And it will be easier. Talk to Him, pray to Him. And it will always be better
MARY SAID, “BEHOLD, I AM THE HANDMAID OF THE LORD. MAY IT BE DONE TO ME ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD.” What this means to me is that God has a path for us and that we need to follow it. He is always calling are name so we must open are ears and listen.
Today’s Gospel talks about Mary’s accepting of being the Mother of God. Personally, this is one of my favorite Gospels, along with the Nativity ones. I feel like they hold a lot of hope and faith in God, and they tell just how powerful it can be if you accept God’s plans for you. Mary was an ordinary person, just like us, and she had the faith and hope to trust in God’s plan for her. We need to do the same.
Today in the gospel something that stuck out to me was “for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his Kingdom there will be no end.” i like this because God came to Joseph in a dream also saying he should name him Jesus which caused Joseph to believe.
In today’s gospel Jesus promises to be with believers always, even to the end of the age.
In today’s Gospel, I think God is trying to tell me that we should have faith in Him in all situations. When He calls upon us to do His mission we should have faith, even though we don’t know what the outcome will be. Giving up yourself to God’s mission and not worrying about what could hurt, but only do it for God’s will. His will should very important in our lives and respecting that will.
In today’s gospel we see Mary say yes to God’s call, not only that but we also see God perform a miracle. We should all open our hearts to God and pray to be willing to accept what God wants for us. God will never will our evil so His plan for us might not be easy, but its how get to a holier life.
What I think the lord is trying to tell me is that angel garbiel was sent from God. Just like God sent his only son to come down to earth and save us from original sin. God sent him down to earth because He loves us with his whole heart.
This Gospel talks about Mary and God, always being with you. As well as your guardian Angel. They are always with us and here to help us whenever and to send down their prayers.
¨Jesus makes it very clear that He is present with us and He has the power to save us and lift us up on the last day.” I learned that he is always with us and we can always turn to gim no matter what. Good or badf.
I think this Gospel is telling me trust God. We don’t know what God has in store for us, but we should trust Him and His plan for us.
The message I got from today’s gospel was that I should always have full trust in the Lord even when things aren’t going my way.
What this gospel reminded me of is that i need to be less afraid to let God into my life and i need to open my heart and mind to God.
“For no word from God will ever fail.” this stuck out to me because the angel clearly said that God couldn’t lie. This proves that God truly loves us as Jesus said.
In today’s Gospel, it talks about how the angel Gabriel was sent down from Heaven to ask Mary to be the mother of God. She asked him how she doesn’t have a husband. The angel says that the Holy Spirit will come down on her and give her a son.
“Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” This stuck out to me even though it is something I have heard quite a bit. This shows how much trust Mary had in the Lord. She entrusted herself to God’s will. She gave her life up for God, the possibility of being shunned for being pregnant while ‘engaged’ to Joseph. It shows how much she believed in His plan and believed the Angel Gabriel’s words were true.
We are all closest to our true selves when being with God. We are peaceful, and are happy. When we pray, he is truly present listening to us. We should be grateful we are being loved and have the joy of freedom and can enjoy life one way or another. We are lucky to have a choice of even loving him. Many chose not to. But do not be that many, and be the one who chooses the right path.
something that stuck with me when i read this is that if you go to Jesus you wilil never hunger and you will never thrist the reason this stuck with me when i read this is because you believe in Jesus you will be given everything you need because Jesus feeds the birds and they dont ask for their next meal or they dont look for it they know that they will be taken care of just like how we should know that he will take care of us and we shouldnt wonder where we will get our next meal from.
In today’s Gospel, Mary accepts to be Jesus’s mother. She said “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” Mary made one of the hardest decisions to carry Jesus into this world so that he would die saving us.
In the Gospel, It talks about mary becoming the mother of God. In are lives we need to say yes to God like Mary did to God. If God wants us to be a preist then we should say yes and listen to him.
Todays Gospel tells us that God can do the impossible. Even though he chose Mary he still gave her a choice of if she wanted to be a mother or not. So even though God has a plan for us we have to choose to do what God would want us to do like Mary had to do even though it was hard.
In today’s Gospel, the angel Gabriel appears to Mary to deliver the message that she will bear the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Mary accepts this willingly. Likewise, we must be willing to say “yes” and accept God’s plan for us. In the end, he knows what is good for us. We must not be doubtful when it comes to God. God will help you if you are unsure and the reward will always be fulfilling. God wills our good and we entrust him, which builds a great relationship between each other. Prayer is what starts, builds, and solidifies our relationship with God. We will know God’s plan for us and act accordingly to God’s word just like how Mary said “yes” to God’s message.
Today Mary shows us a great example. She see this angel who tells her that she will have a son after no relations with a man. She accepts this and knows that this is the will of God. God and Jesus are calling us to be his disciple we have to be like Mary and accept his call to live our best life on this Earth then continue with eternal life.
Today in the Gospel Mary is visited by the Angel Gabriel, who told her that she was going to give birth to Jesus. Even though Mary was not married, she still trusted God and said yes to His call. Like Mary, we should have great faith in God and His plan for us. We should never doubt what He says, and always be open to His plan.
This Gospel is talking about when Gabriel spoke to Mary about bearing a child she was hesitant but she said let your will be done and this shows that we must trust in God no matter what we do.
For nothing will be impossible for God what that means is nothing
that we do is possible without God so we need to remind ourselves
everyday what a great gift God gave us .
in today’s gospel it talks about our guardian angels, and how we need to keep in touch with them. Our guardian angels watch and protect over us as well as God does, and we should be able to be comfortable to talk with our guardian angels as much as we are with God.
I think the Gospel is trying to thell me that this is when mary says yes even if noone beleives her at first she still will say yes to God even if it might be hard.
This Gospel told me to not doubt Christ, and try to follow the path he has planned for me.
The message I got from todays gospel is that we shouldnt be afraid to take up the plan God has for our lives. Instead we should be like Mary and willingly do his plan. We should also know how with God even the impossible is possible so we should never doubt his power.
In today’s Gospel the angel Gabriel tells Mary she is going to give birth to Jesus. Mary has great strength to bring Jesus into the world and watch him die on the cross. We need to ask Mary to help us take up our cross and become better disciples to get to heaven.
what i got from today’s gospel was that when the holy spirit comes to you and you can see it do not be afraid and you have to believe that everything is possible with god. Don’t doubt, you will know the presence of the lord for he is your home. we should still always be practicing and believing catholic’s even without having a miracle happen to us like the annunciation of Mary but even if not we should still be faithful in every way that we possibly can be.
What I took from this gospel is that God can call upon you at any time in your life. He can also call upon you in many ways and in many different forms.
The part of this Gospel that stuck out to me was when Gabriel says, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.” This meant to me that when every we do the will of God the Holy Spirit will come and that He will not leave us.
” “How can this be, since I have no relations with a man?” And the angel said to her in reply, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you”. This stook out to me because it says that with God you can do anything. It shows me that if I have the courage of Mary and say yes to God’s plan for me with my life, I can make others lifes better as well.
“Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you.” God is with us always no matter what. In the hail Mary, It states that God is with thee, meaning us. Sometimes we forget that we will always have God to talk to.
God wants us to fully trust in him. Mary and Joseph Fully trusted in God. They are our role models because they are what we strive to be.
In the Gospel today, the angel Gabriel asked Mary to be the mother of Jesus. He says: “Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you!” Which are the first words in the Hail Mary prayer. “Do not be afraid Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb, and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus.” At the end, Mary said yes to becoming the mother of Jesus. Even though she was a little scared, she had trust in God like we should.
The Angel says that nothing is impossible with God, which means that if you have enough faith in the power of the Almighty, you can move mountains.
Today’s gospel is Mary’s fiat, or yes to god. she is a good example of what we should strive to do/ to say yes even when were unsure of what could happen. she decides to let the holy spirit come into her and make her the mother of the son of god.
this is a grate script because Jesus loves us so much know we will fall and sin so he gave us a garden angel.
one question do saint have angels.
In today’s gospel Mary does God’s will. She had the choice to say no and continue on with her life. However, she said yes to God and salvation was made possible through her. Let us be like Mary. Let us do the will of the Lord. We will not be disappointed by God when we do his will, when we do his we have nothing to be anxious about.
Jesus cares for us. he could’ve backed away and said no i am not God’s son, but no he chose to die for us. me and you. and that’s why each time we go to mass, confession, adoration etc. we feel his presence because he died on the cross for us to be there in the church with him.
what I got from this Gospel is that God works in ways that are to great to comprehend. When God sent down angel gabriel to tell Mary that she would be having the child of God was a great miracle. God works in great ways in our lives and we shouldn’t ignore it.
” Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” This shows how much just one yes or no can mean. Mary might not have known it then, but her one yes changed the fate of the world.
“for nothing will be impossible for God.” We can do anything as long as we have complete faith in God. When we put our full trust in God he puts complete power into us.
