Prayer Prompt before reading JN 8:1-11: Come, Holy Spirit, teach me how to pray well, interpret the Scriptures for me so that I may know the Truth about who God the Father is and God the Son so that I may know who I am.

“HAS NO ONE CONDEMNED YOU?” JN 8:1-11

Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.

Today, Jesus teaches us that He does not condemn, we condemn ourselves. He came to save us not condemn us. Sin doesn’t hurt God, it hurts our relationship with God. When we sin, God doesn’t move, we move ourselves away from God. God just loves. As the verse before the Gospel says, “I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked man, says the Lord, but rather in his conversion, that he may live.”  We are all sinners.  Which one of us does not need God’s love and mercy?  We must have a big heart to convert hearts.  The scribes and the Pharisees are stuck in the law and self-righteousness.

We often judge others quickly, I know I do.  When I am at the grocery store, watching TV, at the park, or anywhere unfamiliar to me, it seems I judge those I do not know.  I have learned over time to stop myself and reach out and say hello no matter what a person looks like or how they speak. Instead of judging, I have learned to offer a quick hand or ask a complete stranger how their day is.  We often do not know the people next to us in our pews at Church beyond a greeting and sign of peace.  They are there almost every Sunday (we don’t like to move much).  We like to be comfortable.

Today, Jesus teaches us to have a big heart, be compassionate, get out of your comfort zone, take healthy risks and be kind and generous to others. We all have one Father, we all have sinned many times, be not afraid, reach out to others and be kind whether you know someone or not.  You will be amazed at their response!  Reaching out to someone might just convert a heart and make a believer out of them.

Today’s challenge: Since Jesus forgives and does not condemn, “Go, and from now on do not sin any more.”  Come to Jesus in confession again and again with full intent to not sin again.  His grace and your will can conquer sin.  It may take time, but never give up!

Be a servant, become a saint!
#Christian YODO (You Only Die Once; we will live again!)

“Sin doesn’t hurt God, it hurts our relationship with God. When we sin, God doesn’t move, we move ourselves away from God. God just loves.” This stood out to me because I had never really thought about it this way. I had never really realized that God never moves away from us, instead, He tries to get us to move closer to Him and not farther away.

In today’s Gospel, Jesus is told that there is a woman who was caught committing adultery. Jesus told them that the first person who has not signed should be the first to stone her. So everyone left except Jesus. He didn’t condemn her, but told her to not sin anymore. We are the woman in this story. We sin so much, but Jesus still loves us! He will still love us even when we have done something horrible. Jesus saved us and will continue to save us until the end of time.

Jesus was condemned to death by sinners. Jesus says in this passage that he will not condemn the woman. We have to first forgive others before Jesus forgives us.

The Gospels show us Jesus’ example that we should live by and here is one of the big things we should take away from Jesus’ life. Forgiving people is something Jesus did all the time and we need to strive to forgive like He did and to have compassion for others like He did.

“Neither do I condemn you. Go, and from now on do not sin any more.”
Jesus is loving and forgiving. He loves you and he would not want to hurt you. He will not condemn you to anything other than purgatory and Hell. God loves you and will protect you throughout all sin. God will forgive you for anything you do, as long as you believe in Him. For if you believe in Him, you will have eternal life.

In today’s Gospel Jesus shows how to be merciful which is something people do not do that often anymore. Which is said but he has mercy on the woman who was caught committing adultery, no one condemned her so Jesus also did not condemn her.

“HAS NO ONE CONDEMNED YOU?” JN 8:1-11. Something that stood out to me about this was that Jesus is asking us if anyone has commanded us. The reason why this stood out to me is because everyday Jesus is commanding us to spread the word of God.

What really stuck out to me in Today’s gospel was when Jesus told the Pharisees to not punish the sinner because that is not their place and they should let Jesus handle it. Because who are you to tell and punish someone for sin when you are also a sinner. Jesus said “Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” This gospel really shows that God is full of forgiveness. He forgave the woman who committed adultery.

In today’s Gospel i really liked how Jesus didn’t immediately agree to stone her (he didn’t really agree at all). The Gospel today also shows how if you commit a sin, you get pain done to you. We all know how in purgatory we ‘suffer’ from all the sins we committed, so the Gospel today helps people understand that. Or they could also take today’s Gospel as if you sin you will experience pain from that sin later on in your life, no sin goes unpunished.

“Let the One Without Sin Throw the First Stone” He does not deny the law or say adultery is fine. Instead, he sets a rule where only a person who has not sinned has the right to execute the woman. This lets the accusers look at their own, sins, rather than focusing on the visible sin of another. Jesus gives her a new life, not just a new chance. He calls her to repentance, leaving her old way of life behind and living in a way that honors God. God’s desire is for mercy and redemption rather than mere punishment. No human is in a position to self-righteously judge another sin. When we are forgiven by Jesus, we are told to leave our sinful life behind.

Jesus forgave the woman and He doesn’t want her to sin anymore. Just like when we commit a sin, God doesn’t want us to sin anymore. Jesus is the only person who has never sinned. The more we sin, the more Jesus gets sad. But Jesus will always forgive us no matter what. Because He loves us.

In today’s scripture reading, it really stuck out to me when it says that when we sin it does not hurt God, it hurts our relationship with God. When we sin, God doesn’t move, we move ourselves away from God. This really stuck out to me because it teaches us not sin so we don’t hurt ourselves and our relationship with God. We are all sinners but God loves you for who you are. That does not mean that we should sin, it means that we should go to God when we sin for us to heal us from our sin and cleanse us with his love and forgiveness instead. We must have a big heart to convert hearts. We should be helping others who are not close to God, doubting, or have not found God in their lives yet. Jesus teaches us to love and convent hearts and to never judge anyone for who they are because Jesus loves them the way that they are. Today, Jesus teaches us to have a big heart, be compassionate, get out of your comfort zone, take healthy risks and be kind and generous to others. Jesus is our dad, he is a dad to all of us that are sinners but still saved us and loves us for who we are. God is pure love. Never be afraid to be kind to people that you know or you don’t know always be kind. His grace and your will can conquer sin. It may take time, but never give up! Have a good rest of your day!! The Gospel reading presents a powerful encounter between legalism and divine mercy. The scribes and Pharisees bring a woman caught in adultery to Jesus, not out of a desire for justice, but as a test to trap him. They present a binary choice: uphold the Mosaic law by stoning her, or show mercy and appear to contradict the law.

Jesus is saying in this Gospel that no one is without sin, so who are we to condemn others? Who are we to judge others when we have also done wrong? Jesus is telling us that he does not condemn the woman because she is repentant. Jesus tells to the woman to go and to not sin any more. The elders were trying to test Jesus but in response he tested them.

In my mind this sentence tells you to never give up on God and to always try your hardest to stop sinning and hurting God with your sin.And to always remember to have full intent to not do the sin again after you have sinned. Also God’s grace is stronger then anything in this world he can do anything.

Our Gospel today starts off with a women being brought to Jesus after being caught in the act of adultury, which is one of the commandments. Jesus is asked what to do with the women and if they shoukd follow there customs and stone her. Jesus then told them that the one without sin can be the one to throw the first stone. They all went away one by one knowing they had sin, then Jesus told the women, go out and do not sin anymore. Today we are really being told that Jesus will always forgive even when it comes to the cammandments but those with sin shouldnt punish others for their sin.

When I was at church in St. Elizabeth the priest was talking about how its true we use science for most things but God is the most important and our life would be nothing without him.

Why do we do this? If we all sin then why do we still think we are better than others. Because we sin less? Maybe we do sin less but we still sin. Because our sins are less serious? Maybe they are but still we all sin.

In this Gospel, a woman is sentenced to stoning for adultery. Jesus came and said that the one who has not sinned can throw the stone first, and no one threw the stone. We often judge others for the sins that we do. We are all sinners, and we must not judge our brothers and sisters who sin too. Jesus came down as a frail human to save all of us from sin. We keep sinning, yet Jesus keeps loving. He knows that we are worthy of love and grace, so he keeps pouring himself onto us. With a God whose love for us is so unfair and illogical, how can we not leave all that we have and follow Him? He is love Himself.

Jesus gave us the choice to Love him and give him our life and everything to him and we can choose the reject that or the accept that.

In today’s Gospel, Jesus tells us that he will forgive us If we are truly sorry. If we don’t condemn ourselves and see the bad things that we do then how can we condemn others for the things that they do.

In today’s Gospel, Jesus is teaching in the temple and then the Pharisees come and have this woman who is a sinner. They say that she has been caught in adultery and in Moses’s law she should be stoned. They say that they want to check with Him. He says the one who hasn’t sinned goes first. He lets her go and tells her not to sing anymore.

In today’s Gospel Jesus says that the one without sin should be the first one to throw a stone. This translates to us everyday, we cannot judge someone for what they have done because we ourselves have sinned. Only God alone can judge; however, if we forgive God will certainly forgive us. Therefore, forgive and do not judge.

Today I think Jesus was trying to tell us that we are not better than anyone, even if maybe they have commited more sins or sins that are worse it doesnt make us better. So when someone else sins we should not try to hurt them but try to help them back on the right path folloing Jesus.

This is basically a real life confession session Jesus forgave the woman for what she did. even though it was bad Jesus led the way. this shows that no matter what or how bad you are you can always turn to the light. God can forgive but we must not abuse what good he gives us

“Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” She replied, “No one, sir.” Then Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you. Go, and from now on do not sin any more.” In the Gospel, Jesus sees an adulterous, cheating woman being threatened with being stoned to death. Jesus tells the men who are threatening the women that whoever of them lacks sin and are pure can throw the first stone at her. The men, who were scribes and the Pharisees, slowly left her after that because they themselves knew they weren’t without sin and shame. Once they left Jesus had asked her if no one had condemned her and she said no in response. Jesus, upon hearing this, said that He doesn’t condemn her but to go and restrain from sin.

Today’s Gospel tells me not to be a hypocrite. We should not judge people for sin if we have sinned ourselves. We should always stay true and honest to ourselves and abstain from sinning if we can. We should not judge others when we ourselves walk this world imperfect.

In the gospel today, the message I got was to not be so judgmental and to treat others how you would want to be treated.

“Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her” this verse sticks out to me because it shows that no one is perfect (but Jesus) highlighting humanity’s universal imperfection, if your aren’t perfect, why should you judge or condemn someone else? Why should you condemn yourself? Condemning yourself could be good though, acknowledging what you’ve done wrong is a great habit don’t get me wrong but you shouldn’t be calling out someone else’s mistakes. Compassion over Condemnation!

Today in the Gospel Jesus tells us not to judge others for their sins, because we have all sinned at one time or another. It is cruel to judge someone for doing something that we have done ourselves.

In today’s gospel I find peace. This helps us to know that God has us and he can help us get through no matter the situation. We can’t just go and sin all we want but when we do if we truly do feel bad then we can have this peace in God that he has us. We have to come to him first and we have to confess for him to give us this never ending peace.

In todays Gospel we see a women who is caught in sinning. However Jesus tells the elders who were about to stone her, “Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” Here Jesus shows us that even if our brothers or sisters commit sin. It still does not give us the right to condemn them. Because we to are sinners. We should ask Jesus to help us every day with Judging others.

in today’s gospel Jesus forgives a woman who committed adultery. This is a sin that goes against the 10 commandments and yet Jesus still forgives her. this is showing that all sins are forgivable if the person is truly sorry. Jesus loves us very much, so much so that he forgives us when we have gone against the laws that were set for us by him. I think that Jesus loves us so much that he will never stop loving us.

What I took from today’s gospel is that we should not judge others for sin because we too sin. Another thing that I took from the gospel is that Jesus will forgive but you have to try to not make the same mistakes again.

The part of this Gospel that stuck out to me was when Jesus said, “Let the one among you who is without sin
be the first to throw a stone at her.” This meant to me that no one can judge others of their sins because we have all sinned at some point in our lives whether it be small or big.

“Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her”. This stook out to me because there was nobody there without sin so nobody coould stone her. It showed how Jesus cared for the woman even though she did something wrong he still cared for her.

in the very first paragraph it said “Jesus does not condemn, we condemn ourselves”. I love this because we know all of are sin and if you are catholic you believe in Heaven and Hell . So if you know your sin and about Heaven and Hell you know if you are go to Heaven or Hell

Everyone sins and when we judge others for sinning, we become hypocrites. We shouldn’t judge others for the same thing we suffer with.

The woman realizes that this man has power over her. This is why she addresses him as “sir” instead of just saying “No one”. She could have heard of him prior to their meeting, or just sensed the power that wasn’t just IN him, it WAS him, along with love.

This Gospel challenges us to look beyond “earthly thinking” and to embrace Jesus not just as a teacher, but as the divine “I AM” trusting in his sacrifice for salvation.

This gospel emphasizes that God offers love, mercy, and salvation rather than condemnation, highlighting that sins damage human relationships with God rather than hurting God directly.

In this scripture reflection what stood out too me was “Jesus teaches us that He does not condemn, we condemn ourselves.” This is a good reminder of how Jesus always loves us and shows just that when we go through hard times, its not Jesus trying too make us feel unloved, its just a consequence of daily life and he mistakes Adam and Eve made many years ago.
