Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.

Jesus said to his disciples:
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing,
but underneath are ravenous wolves.
By their fruits you will know them.
Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
Just so, every good tree bears good fruit,
and a rotten tree bears bad fruit.
A good tree cannot bear bad fruit,
nor can a rotten tree bear good fruit.
Every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down
and thrown into the fire.
So by their fruits you will know them.”  MT 7:15-20

Obedience is defined as submission to another person’s authority.  Jesus has taught us how to be His disciple (follower) and be a saint in the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew chapters 5,6,and now finishing up in 7.  It is the greatest description of Christian morality by God.  Now that we have listened or heard the Word, understand it, we must obey.  We can talk the talk but now Jesus wants us to walk the walk.  This is the most difficult, we must follow through and live as a Christian disciple. First, we must fall in love with Jesus, then following the laws will be joyful instead of feeling like we are living in a straitjacket and God is trying to take away our fun.  We were made to bear good fruit, the world needs saints right now.

Today’s challenge: Practice obedience.  This is not just for young people but adults, too!

Be a servant, become a saint!
