Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.

Beloved:
The end of all things is at hand.
Therefore be serious and sober-minded
so that you will be able to pray.
Above all, let your love for one another be intense,
because love covers a multitude of sins.
Be hospitable to one another without complaining.
As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another
as good stewards of God’s varied grace.
Whoever preaches, let it be with the words of God;
whoever serves, let it be with the strength that God supplies,
so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ,
to whom belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Beloved, do not be surprised that a trial by fire is occurring among you,
as if something strange were happening to you.
But rejoice to the extent that you share in the sufferings of Christ,
so that when his glory is revealed
you may also rejoice exultantly.

Peter gives us the recipe for sainthood today!  1. Live each day with the end in mind.  2. Take your faith serious and don’t indulge in anything too much that will take away your intellect so that you can always be praying.  3. Have an intense love, for love covers a multitude of sin.  4. Complaining about one another brings judgment, be kind even to those you do not get along with, take care of one another. 5. Stewardship-recognize each breath is a gift from God and who you were created to be with certain gifts, use those gifts to serve God and others.  6. Last, Peter warns that we will suffer and reminds us that Jesus gives purpose to our suffering, offering it up with His for grace to be purified so that we may enter into His glory when He calls us.

Today’s challenge: Strive to be a saint with the road map set forth by our first pope, St. Peter.

Be a servant, become a saint!
