Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.

Beloved:
See what love the Father has bestowed on us
that we may be called the children of God.
Yet so we are.
The reason the world does not know us
is that it did not know him.
Beloved, we are God’s children now;
what we shall be has not yet been revealed.
We do know that when it is revealed we shall be like him,
for we shall see him as he is.
Everyone who has this hope based on him makes himself pure,
as he is pure. 1 JN 3:1-3

Brothers and sisters:
Are you unaware that we who were baptized into Christ Jesus
were baptized into his death?
We were indeed buried with him through baptism into death,
so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead
by the glory of the Father,
we too might live in newness of life.

For if we have grown into union with him through a death like his,
we shall also be united with him in the resurrection.
We know that our old self was crucified with him,
so that our sinful body might be done away with,
that we might no longer be in slavery to sin.
For a dead person has been absolved from sin.
If, then, we have died with Christ,
we believe that we shall also live with him.
We know that Christ, raised from the dead, dies no more;
death no longer has power over him. ROM 6:3-9

Again, today Jesus teaches us our identity through St. Paul and John.  Our identity is wrapped up in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  ”We know that our old self was crucified with him, so that our sinful body might be done away with, that we might no longer be in slavery to sin.”  In our baptism, “We were indeed buried with him through baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might live in newness of life.”  John then writes, “See what love the Father has bestowed on us that we may be called the children of God. Yet so we are.”  He goes on to say that whoever has this hope as a child of God adopted through baptism is pure.  Jesus says, “Blessed are the pure of heart, they shall see God.”  The beatific vision is to see God face to face.  In conclusion, our identity is wrapped up in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  We are all 1st generation adopted sons and daughters of God.  God has no grandchildren.  This is truly amazing if you reflect on the mighty power of God and that we are truly made in His image and likeness.  This makes us brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ.  Another amazing fact to take some time to reflect on.  If this is our identity why do we spend so much time being distracted from it.  The devil.  We often identify ourselves with sports, beauty, wealth, popularity or power, movie stars, singers, or other people that fit one of these descriptions in our class or workplace.  Becoming a saint is understanding your identity in God then listening in your heart to His will with the guidance of the Holy Spirit to be the best version of yourself.  This is the only way one can truly be at peace and joyful.  Stop fighting God!  Accept yourself, fight Satan, strive for holiness, hope and be pure patiently waiting to see God face to face.  You will be tested daily, are you ready for the fight!

Today’s challenge: Be pure, hope, listen to your heart.  Become a saint!  Pray for all souls today!

Be a servant, become a saint!
