Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.

Join with others in being imitators of me, brothers and sisters,
and observe those who thus conduct themselves
according to the model you have in us.
For many, as I have often told you
and now tell you even in tears,
conduct themselves as enemies of the cross of Christ.
Their end is destruction.
Their God is their stomach;
their glory is in their “shame.”
Their minds are occupied with earthly things.
But our citizenship is in heaven,
and from it we also await a savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
He will change our lowly body
to conform with his glorified Body
by the power that enables him also
to bring all things into subjection to himself.

Therefore, my brothers and sisters,
whom I love and long for, my joy and crown,
in this way stand firm in the Lord, beloved.  Phil 3:17-4:1

St. Paul reminds us that we can not lose the power of the Cross.  We cannot forget, especially today, a Friday when we remember Christ died on the cross for us around 3 PM, the power of the Cross of Christ.  If we stop fighting Satan or do not strive to be holy today, we lose the opportunity to be a witness of the Cross for the world.  Sin, suffering, parent’s fighting, divorce, someone putting us down, tiredness, shame, embarrassment, gossip, worrying about our looks or if we fit in, worry, anxiety, homework, a long to do list, can all bring us down.  Jesus took all of this as well as the many other worse things in the world including the worst of sins hatred, murder, war, lust, gluttony, pride or power, addiction, and put it all upon himself on that cross to set us free out of love. GOD’S LOVE IS MORE POWERFUL THAN ANYTHING IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you suffer today or are struggling with sin that is just eating you up, give it to Jesus and trust in Him.  This is the point of the Cross and when we try to do thing on our own we always end up in misery.  Humility is recognizing we need a Savior, we need God, God’s mighty power is what helps us fight sin, Satan, and our fallen nature.  Last, at the end of this great fight after we have allowed God to help us and we have stayed strong in the faith our lowly bodies will be glorified bodies as citizens of heaven.  Imagine what your glorified body will be like in heaven and keep your eyes on that goal.

Today’s challenge: Give Jesus your problems and allow the Cross of Christ to fulfill it’s purpose, then live in peace.

Be a servant, become a saint!
