“GO INTO THE WHOLE WORLD AND PROCLAIM THE GOSPEL TO EVERY CREATURE.” MARK 16:15-20
Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Why believe? by Carl Olson at Catholic Answers (sorry this is long, but it has been a topic well worth debating for centuries)
Faith is the Christian word. Avery Cardinal Dulles, S.J., in his masterful theology of faith, The Assurance of Things Hoped For, writes, “More than any other religion, Christianity deserves to be called a faith” (3). He points out that in the New Testament the Greek words for “faith” and “belief” occur nearly 500 times, compared to less than 100 for “hope” and about 250 for “charity” or “love.” Which is not to say, of course, that faith is more important than love, since Paul makes it clear that love is the greatest of the three theological virtues: “So faith, hope, love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love” (1 Cor. 13:13).
Do I Trust the Chair? A witticism goes: “Everybody should believe in something; I believe I’ll have another drink.” It is more accurate to say that everybody does believe in something, even if it is belief in the ability to live without belief. Of course, even the skeptic understands that life in the material world requires certain types of belief or faith, using those terms broadly and non-theologically: the belief that stop lights will work correctly, faith that I will be given a paycheck at the end of the month, the trust that my grasp of basic math will keep me on the good side of the IRS.
One argument posits that sitting upon a chair is an act of faith, so even atheists have faith when they sit on a chair in, say, a home they are visiting for the first time. If for some reason I doubted the chair in question would hold my weight, I could ascertain its load-bearing capabilities by asking my host to sit in it first, thereby ridding myself of concern (and likely puzzling or offending my host).
The argument only goes so far when it comes to faith in what cannot be seen, touched, or proven by scientific means. It does, however, suggest what many people are reluctant to admit: that all of us have beliefs and we live our lives based on those beliefs, even if we never articulate or define them. As Joseph Ratzinger observes in Introduction to Christianity, “Every man must adopt some kind of attitude to the basic questions, and no man can do this in any other way but that of entertaining belief.” (Introduction to Christianity [2nd ed.], 71)
We, as creatures, have limited, finite knowledge, and so must make decisions—practical, relational, philosophical—without the luxury of proof. We use common sense and rely on our experience and, significantly, on the experience and testimony of others. I may not know for certain that the chair will hold me, but I conclude it is rational to think it will, based on certain observations: The chair looks well-constructed; it appears to be used on a regular basis; and it is in the home of someone who isn’t the sort of person to ask guests to sit on a chair that might fall apart upon human contact. Sitting on the chair is a reasonable thing to do. Implicit here is the matter of trust. Do I trust the chair? Do I trust my host? And, more importantly, do I trust my perception and assessment of the chair?
At the Threshold of Belief Augustine and Aquinas stressed that the object of belief cannot be seen or directly perceived, nor proven by mere logic. If you can prove it, you don’t need to believe in it. And yet, as Josef Pieper explained in his essay, “On Faith,” the believer must know enough about the matter to understand “what it is all about.” An altogether incomprehensible communication is no communication at all. There is no way either to believe or not to believe it or its author. For belief to be possible at all, it is assumed that the communication has in some way been understood. (Faith Hope Love, 24)
God has revealed himself in a way that is comprehensible to man (in an act theologians call “divine condescension”), even if man cannot fully comprehend, for example, the Incarnation or the Trinity. Reason and logic can take man to the door of faith, but cannot carry man across the threshold. “What moves us to believe,” explains the Catechism, “is not the fact that revealed truths appear as true and intelligible in the light of our natural reason: We believe because of the authority of God himself who reveals them, who can neither deceive nor be deceived” (CCC 156).
Belief can also rest upon the testimony of someone else, as Paul states: “But how are men to call upon him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without a preacher?” (Rom. 10:14). Aquinas succinctly remarks: “Now, whoever believes, assents to someone’s words…” (Summa Theologiae II:2:11). Pieper points out, however, that this leads to a significant problem: that no man is superior enough spiritually to serve as “an absolutely valid authority” for another man.
This problem is only solved when the One who is above all men communicates with man. This communication, of course, reaches perfection in the Incarnation, when God becomes man—that is, when the Word, God’s perfect communication, becomes flesh. And this is why, to put it simply, the historicity of Jesus Christ and the witness of those who knew him is at the heart of the Catholic faith.
Faith is ultimately an act of will, not of emotion or deduction. The Catechism of the Catholic Church, quoting Aquinas, teaches, “In faith, the human intellect and will cooperate with divine grace: Believing is an act of the intellect assenting to the divine truth by command of the will moved by God through grace” (CCC 155). This submission is called “the obedience of faith” (CCC 143). Logic, reason, and recognition of authority go only so far; an act of will, dependent upon God’s grace, is required for faith to be realized.
Yet this response of the will is not an impersonal act, like selecting numbers for the lottery, but an intensely personal response. “We believe, because we love,” wrote John Henry Newman in a sermon titled, “Love the Safeguard of Faith against Superstition.” “The divinely enlightened mind,” he continued, “sees in Christ the very Object whom it desires to love and worship,—the Object correlative of its own affections; and it trusts him, or believes, from loving him.”
Today’s challenge: With God’s Divine grace choose with your will to cooperate with His and believe!
Be a servant, be a saint today!

Today in scripture we learn, Faith is an act, not forced. We do not know all there is In this world no one is perfect in knowledge, besides Jesus Christ. We don’t know if he’s real or fake but he gives us sign throughout our life to believe In him. My favorite part of scripture, [God has revealed himself in a way that is comprehensible to man (in an act theologians call “divine condescension”)]
We do know Jesus is real and walked the earth. We have never seen God the Father Pure Spirit. We believe because Jesus revealed the invisible visibly, Himself. He claimed to be God in the Flesh and didn’t back down, He even died for it.
Faith is when you have complete trust or confidence in someone or something. We need to have faith in God always. We cant doubt out religion, we need to have faith in it and trust that God will lead us back to him. He will never do anything to hurt us so if we trust in Him then He will lead us to heaven.
If we truley believe in God then we need to help keep each other faithful and obedient to God. It’s not enough to just believe, it’s living out the faith and doing Gods will no matter how difficult.
Faith is believing in something not just with your heart but with your whole body. It means believing even when you don’t feel like it or in a bad place. Faith means praying everyday and not making excuses not to. Faith means loving God with your whole heart, mind, soul, and body. Faith means loving and believing no matter what.
Today Jesus tells us that we must trust and believe in the Holy Spirit. God has shown us the way by sending the holy spirit. He tells us to follow it and we will be saved. We must have faith in Him so that we may live and love others. The Holy Spirit shows us that by loving others we love God and we must even choose to love those who have wronged us. This way we may be able to enter the kingdom of heaven and be in true harmony and love with God and neighbor.
Faith Isn’t just beliving without seeing their is a sense of hope as well where you get like a tingle when you know its their and have faith it will work or that he’s watching over you. Having faith sets you apart from other people some people don’t have faith and they may feel like their life doesn’t have a purpose but because of faith we can wake up knowing what we believe and it gives us the strength to move forward day by day and procalim the good news.
We must have faith and trust that god wills best for us. We must have faith that the lord will heal us of our sin and protect us from evil. faith is loyalty and trust. We must not give up the fight.
“Go into the whole world” faith for me means including everyone, whether they believe or not, it’s our job to bring kindness and faith to their doorstep so they can see how our faith affects us, it’s not about what someone believes, but how we as Christians treat them, many people stray away from the faith because of people who push them away for something, rather we should pull those people closer and show how much we care about them.
Faith is believing in something and holding on to that the belief is true. With faith you don’t have to see something happen in order to believe it, we are all called to have faith in Jesus and that he has died for our sins and that he are all put on the earth by him with a purpose and to return to him in heaven. With the bible it gives us many reasons to have more belief, so what is stopping us from truly giving ourselves fully to Him with Faith?
Faith. Faith is not just believing in something but I think having faith is beyond belief. Jesus said to them “Go into the world and proclaim the gospel.” Jesus is telling us go. Go share my words with everyone so they to can be redeemed and follow me. How can we go tell people about God and Mary and the apostles if we don’t have faith and if we don’t believe and know they really were here and Jesus really did die for us? Having faith means we know Jesus came down from heaven we believe but we also love him and we pray to him and talk to him like he is a friend because he is. And we go to mass and receive him in the Eucharist something he is truly present in. We have faith with purpose. And I think the purpose we have is to go into the world and share our faith and proclaim the gospel, just like Jesus said we should.
what are we without faith how can we be anything without faith. Faith is the foundation the building blocks of our life we need to keep faith in our lives in is so important that we keep Jesus in our lives the faith that we have for him and the Trinity
Faith is indeed an act of will. I sometimes have times when I do not know if I fully believe or not, andI have to remind myself that it is a choice to believe. It is something that we control within ourselves, not something that fluctuates depending on our mood. We need to choose each and every day to have faith, to believe in Jesus Christ who ascended into heaven, cured the sick, and forgives sins. We have to choose to recognize the good things in our life as God-Given. We must thank him for our talents, because he is the source of literally all existence! He loved you into being, and because you are still existing, you know that he is continually loving you so much that you are sustained! If God just up and left, not that it is possible since he is existence, but hypothetically, We would simply not. We would not continue until the sun explodes, or a meteor comes, or we kill everyone in a war, we would just not be. God is integral in all daily life, and those who have faith in him have a much happier world than those who think we are here to die.
Jesus sent out the eleven to preach the story of Him and that whoever believes will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. If we died right now, would we go to heaven? We could die at any moment so why do we not live life to the fullest? We get caught in worldly things and we end up forgetting that we could not be here in a snap of a finger. We must have faith strong enough that we can (if we died at that moment) get to heaven as much as possible. We also need to be like the disciples and help convert others. If we convert ourselves why can’t we convert others? We are scared of getting denied and losing friends, but that is much better than losing someone else’s SOUL. If our bodies reflect our soul, how can we say we believe when we don’t show it? Not every person is converted but it is better to have one extra soul in heaven without goods on Earth than none with everything on Earth.
TODAY Jesus Ascended into Heaven! Before the Ascension happened, Jesus told His disciples to spread out and tell the good news to all who would listen. Then Jesus would work through them.
Don’t hide your faith just live it out because most people don’t care, but we always think they do.
Today’s Gospel these words stuck out to me“Go into the whole world
and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved”
These stuck out to me because there are some people in the world
that do not believe and they will be condemned.
I believe faith is believing in Jesus in the fact that he was crucified died even buried and rose from the dead. Just to show that the Trinity is so much stronger than the devil it’s not even funny. He could be washed away in an instant but God wants us to choose him.
Faith is basically believing when not seeing. Faith is being loyal to someone even if you have doubts. Faith is showing that you believe, not just saying it. Faith is a beautiful thing that humans should all have more of. We should not only have faith in God, but in everything in the world around us.
Faith is believing in something and trusting in it. Having Faith in God is believing that God is real and having trust that all the things in the bible are real. We need to spread the gospel so other people can believe in God and the works that he has done.
Faith is the belief in God. As Christians, we are called to have faith in God. He has shown us that He is real, but we turn away and don’t believe. This happens because of the sins that we commit every single day. We only have so much knowledge, yet we still don’t believe in God. Even though He saved us, we still turn to sin. We must have faith and hope in God to see that He is the Messiah.
we truly believe in God then we need to help keep each other faithful and obedient to God.Faith is our foundation if we do not have Faith or God we would be lost without it.Faith is when you have complete trust or confidence in someone or something.
Faith is fully believing something with all your heart no matter what happens. Faith is believing in the Lord even if you are really down in your life. We all need faith all the time. Faith is amazing and we need it.
faith is to completely trust God. When you look up other words for trust the synonym faith comes up. When we trust in God he will help us. We can’t do anything without faith and courage cause we would be too scared but God protects us. We can’t give up the fight of our lives but God will always be in the fight alongside us so we can never forget that.
Good job, Mattie! How is trust built in a relationship?
Faith is believing in something and living your life on that belief. Jesus said that whoever teaches in his name will be saved and no evil will come on them. Since, he said that we believe those words. When we have faith we will live our life by the person we have faith in. So, believe and have faith so that you can be saved!
Today Jesus tells us to believe we must believe in him. When we believe in Jesus he will guide us through our life and save us from any harmful thing that happens to us. Jesus wants us to believe in him and is waiting for us to believe and follow him.
Faith is believing in something not seen. Having faith is up to you. No one else can make you have faith. We have proof that Jesus was here and rose, but it takes faith for us to believe that he is sitting at the right hand of the Father.
“They will pick up serpents [with their hands], and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them.” Todays scripture talks about the power of Jesus, and the power of believing in Him. If we follow Jesus we will be open to so much more. We will be able to enlighten those who don’t really know about Jesus, and proclaim His word in different languages. We will be filled with the power of God.
I think the gospel is trying to say that Jesus loves us and that we need to love him back because of what we do with him. we get hit by a rock and we blame it on God when he is stopping a boulder from falling on us and we still drag his name through the dirt even for what he did for us.
God is telling us that we need to go out and spread the gospel. We need to follow Jesus and Go to mass every week.
Something that I got out of this was that we need faith, if we do not have faith than we can do not anything, a Bible verse shows this,”I can do anything who Christ who strengthens.” We need faith, and we need to spread the good news that Jesus is alive in us, Jesus did rise from the dead, he can do anything, he has all power of everyone, and everything, and if we do not have faith than we will not go to heaven, we can say all the good stuff about Jesus with our lips, but with our hearts we don’t really love him, and we need to learn to love him, and everything that is on this amazing earth.
“More than any other religion, Christianity deserves to be called a faith” Faith. Faith is a word that Christians use a lot. Christianity can be referred to as a “faith”. In the New Testament the word “faith” and “belief” occurs around 500 times, and about 250 for “charity” or “love.” That doesn’t mean that it is more important than love. Paul says that love is more important than faith and hope.
This is what the article said, now I want you to think for yourself. What is faith mean to YOU?
Faith is kinda hard to describe; faith is not a thing that can be seen or touched, it is kinda a thing that is in your brain. You have to trust in God fully. Faith is believing in God no matter what. You trust that God will care for us and will protect us, we just need to believe. Faith is kinda like an action in a way, we are always doing it, even with normal objects such as trusting a chair will hold us up. We have Faith that God is real and is always watching over us.
Jesus is telling us that to be saved you need to believe in Him, like truly believe in Him not just the “oh ya I believe” but not truly follow in his ways. Believing can be hard, from the most skeptical person to the most devout believer faith can waver, but what shows that you truly believe is that you come back to God and ask for His forgiveness. Without that we cannot be saved from our sin or the fires of Hell and be with God for eternity in heaven.
What I am getting from this scripture is faith in our religion is not by sight. We believe that George Washington was the first president because of evidence even though we never saw it. We believed it because of eye witnesses that wrote about him. It is the same with Jesus. Even though we never saw it, that does not mean he did not happen. There were eye witnesses that wrote about him. I think that is what our faith is.
Faith is when you truly believe in God even at the lowest moments we HAVE TO believe in God because he the reason we do good he is the true reason we exist not because of luck but because of HIM. He is the reason nature exist and we shouldn’t drag his name in the dirt just because we want to and makes us sound cool
Faith is an act of will not emotion or dedication as it says in the reflection when you have faith you are believing in something that you may not actually be able to see but you believe that it is if you believe in Jesus Christ he will give the Kingdom of God by believing you are giving yourself up to God and showing him I believe in you please help me and he will remember that so that is what I think faith is.
The definition of Faith is believing in something that cannot be proven physically or cannot be proven at that time. Jesus asks us for faith, and to believe in him. I think Faith means your total devotion to believing in something, even if it is hard, or if you stand alone. Faith is a really important part of our religion. So have faith in Jesus!
Faith is believing in something no matter what. The saints had a lot of faith. martyrs are the perfect example of what faith is because they died because they had so much faith and would not deny it. We are called to be faithful.
Believing is an act of the intellect assenting to the divine truth by command of the will moved by God through grace.Yet this response of the will is not an impersonal act, like selecting numbers for the lottery, but an intensely personal response.
Faith is a gift given to us by God. Faith is to believe in something that we cannot see, feel, touch. When we believe in God we have faith in him. We have Faith that he will come again. We have faith that heaven and hell are real. We have faith because we want to get to heaven. We have faith in God because we trust in him.
Faith is ultimately an act of will, not of emotion or deduction. if we do not have faith in ourselves or others that there is no faith in the world and no faith in the world, no one will trust anyone and the whole point is that we need trust and faith.
in today’s gospel “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved” stood out to me. It stood out to me because I think Jesus was trying to tell us when we spread the word of God nothing bad can happen. He will always be there for us and have our back and in return we are supposed to share the good news of what he did for us and how he saved us.
Faith is being able to believe in something with your whole heart. You put your whole trust into what you believe and you begin to build your life around it. It becomes the foundation of everything you do. Faith is when everybody else contradicts what you believe in but you still choose to follow because you believe and it means something to you.
Faith is believing in something or someone. God teaches us to have faith in him by saying “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved”. This means that if we believe in God and are baptized we will be saved and go to heaven.
I think that faith is the belief of something even though others may not. It’s being able to believe in your God even though others persecute you. It is the believing and knowing that the God you believe in is real and he will sustain you through the hard times and bring you up when you are down, that he will not give up on you and will be with you your entire life.
Faith is believing in a God even in the difficult times. If we have faith with God we will be saved by him and will make to Heaven.
Faith is trust in God no matter the circumstances. No matter what happens, you know He’s there for you to help you through it. He won’t put you through anything you can’t handle, because He knows what you can handle better than you yourself know what you can handle. Even when life is the worst you think it could possibly be, He’s there, just waiting for you to recognize Him and ask Him to give you strength. He wants to help you! Faith is recognizing that He is God and He will help you all the time. You just have to let Him take the reigns!
The scripture is trying to tell me to have faith. Just because you can’t see, hear, or even touch Faith you need to have Faith. Faith is ultimately an act of will, not of emotion or deduction. You have a choice to believe or not. Even though you might not have faith in God he is always with you and he will always love you.
Faith is an act of belief and we can show it on how we speak it and talk about it. We won’t have faith if we don’t profess it, show it, and give it to others so that they know that we have a purpose to believe in something. Some people don’t have a religion and don’t believe in a God but worldly values, us today worship God and give him thanks for what he has done to our lives. People state that God has made me miserable in times. He teaches us when we are lonely to go talk to someone, when we are emotional find something that makes you happy. Most of believing is seeing what people say seeing is believing. Us Christians are to grasp the concept of Faith and we see it, not the other way around. Sure people see visions of the lord and that can count. So believe and give thanks for the one who has created you, blessed you, and has called you by name.
Christian, I admire your seriousness about your faith and your ability poor through these reflections. You are a very reflective and wise young man! I can’t wait to see what you do with your life! Amen.
Faith is believing in something. It is giving back to God what He has given you. Faith is believing and trusting God. It is obeying the Father’s will. Faith is what keeps you close to God. It is saying that we love God. It shows us that God will always love us. Faith is what you follow to get to heaven. Our faith is being a Christian. Faith is what bring you back when you have sinned.
Great reflection, Zoey! Your understanding of faith at such a young age gives me great hope for our future and yours!
Faith is not a thing that can be seen or touched. We should believe in God no matter what we are going through, Having faith in God is believing in him. and when we sin it pulls us farther away. Faith means believing and loving no matter what, and being loyal.
Faith is believing in something. It is being able to trust some other person or thing without knowing they are there. Faith is not blind, there are signs. But you cannot rely on signs to have faith in something. You have to put yourself into God’s arms and trust in him. We know there were eye witnesses even if we didn’t see him. This cannot be the only reason we put our faith in something however, because if we only trust material things, then we cannot go fully into heaven.
Faith is when you actually believe and trust in God, and he will help us be good, not bad. He has faith that we will have faith in him. He is all good and all powerful, we must trust and have faith in him.
Faith, hope, and love are the keys to heaven if we make them the center of our lives they will constantly bring us closer and closer to God it was his love that brought us here, it was our faith that turned millions of people to God, and it was our hope that keeps us going.
God gave us these 3 things so that we live life and live it well these guidelines are what is going to get us to heaven God gave us a shot at getting to heaven with him.
We must have faith that the lord will heal us of our sin and protect us from evil. Having faith sets you apart from other people some people don’t have faith and they may feel like their life doesn’t have a purpose but because of faith we can wake up knowing what we believe and it gives us the strength to move forward day by day and procalims the good news. Faith is when you have complete trust or confidence in someone or something.
I believe faith is believing in Jesus in the fact that he was crucified and died even buried. He rose from the dead. Just to show that the Trinity is so much stronger than the devil. It’s not even funny. He could be washed away in an instant but God wants us to choose him.
To me, faith is completely putting your trust and hope into something that we may not even be able to see or hear. Having faith in God is hard for many people because they have never seen God, but they believe anyway, and that to me is really strong faith.
Jesus wants us to know that he is chasing after us. He wants to have a relationship with us at all times. We are theones who have to except it.
“Everybody should believe in something believe I’ll have another drink.” Even if it isn’t a faith, we should all believe what we want to
In this scripture reflection I learned that we need faith to believe and we need to believe in God so that we know He is there. I mean how much we know God is a lot of proof, but nobody recently shook hands with Jesus that is why it takes faith to know and to talk to Him spiritually.
Faith is something you can’t push someone to do. It is an act of loving a God beyond all others and not be forced into it. You need to believe what you believe because you believe it not others. Other people shouldn’t force you to do something that you don’t want to do so why would you let others choose your faith. I believe in God because I love Him above all things not because someone told me too. Believe in what you believe not others.
Faith is believing in something or someone even when you can’t see it. We can’t see God so we have to have Faith in Him that He exists, that He rose from the dead, that He rose into Heaven, that He rose Lazarus, and all of the other supernatural things that He did that would not typically be possible
We have to have faith to believe in God, if there is no faith then we just can believe in Him cause he isn’t living on the earth with us, we must have strong faith and not just see one thing on the internet and say “Well maybe he isn’t real cause that’s a good point”.
In the scripture it’s saying that Faith is not something that’s forced on us. But God gives us signs throughout of lives showing us that he is there. God is always there for us and knows what we need and what is best for us. He knows what is going to happen so he knows when we will believe.
faith is us believing with are whole mind soul and heart in something that we cant see faith is are belief in God even though we cant see him with the human eye faith is truly knowing in God and we all need faith because science even though is amazing cant prove God existed the only thing that can prove God is each of our souls
faith is believing in something even when people tell you not to or tell you its not true, but still believing because of your own experience with it and knowing that it was true to you. Faith is a big part of religion and if we don’t believe that this man walked the earth as both human and God how will we believe that he died for us? How will we believe we are saved? It starts small.
Faith is ultimately an act of will, not of emotion or deduction, and believing is an act of the intellect assenting to the divine truth by command of the will moved by God through grace
Faith is believing in something without seeing it. Faith is being willing to lay down your life for something you trust. Something you hope for. And today’s gospel is just that. We are told that Jesus gives His abilities of healing and casting out demons to the apostles and then ascends into Heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father. If we continue to go to mass and receive the Eucharist and go to confession then we will also be sat with Jesus in Heaven. We can be like Him on Earth then we can meet Him in Heaven.
What stuck out to me today was, “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned.” This stuck out to me because you can’t just say that you believe and expect to make it to heaven. You have to show that you believe and you have to at least try to have a relationship with God. Saying that you believe in God and then not going to mass isn’t enough, you have to go to mass and become best friends with God. Faith is truly believing and showing that you believe through your actions and what you do. Even though you can’t physically see God you have to have faith.
faith is believing even when you cant see him. we need to go out and show are faith to people who dont understand and help those in need to show our faith in God. it is through us as jesus’s diciples to share his word and bring faith to the world.
faith is believing something is true even if you can’t see or feel it and even if you can’t prove it’s actually there. In order to keep faith you have to work to keep it and it might be hard but you have to do it.
The first theological virtue is faith. Faith is our belief as catholics that Jesus is the one true God present in the sacrament of eucharist. Faith cannot be proven, we have to believe that God is with us. if we could prove that God was real, then their would be no need for faith. and without faith, we have nothing to believe in. and if we have nothing to believe in, we fall down the path of loneliness and we feel seperated. But if we have faith, we can believe that God is truely here. we can believe that He loves us. and if we can believe that God loves us, we will neer feel alone, because we believe that God will always be by our side to comfort us and give us His infinite love and mercy.
faith is the belief in an invisible reality so that you can eventually come to trust in him as your creator and your savior.
Faith is believing in a God even in the difficult times. If we have faith with God we will be saved by God and will make to the kingdom of God
Faith is believing in God even when we cant see or feel him and believing in him through hard times.
“On Faith,” the believer must know enough about the matter to understand “what it is all about.” Stuck out to me because we need to know God more and what he did for us.
“Go into the world and proclaim the gospel.” Jesus is telling us that we should go and spread the word of God
Faith is believing when there is no proof Faith is waiting for a second coming Faith is praying for help Faith is going to confession after you sin Faith is knowing that there will be a time with no sin.
Something that I got out of this was that we need faith, if we do not have faith than we can do not anything, a Bible verse shows this,”I can do anything who Christ who strengthens.” We need faith, and we need to spread the good news that Jesus is alive in us, Jesus did rise from the dead, he can do anything, he has all power of everyone, and everything, and if we do not have faith than we will not go to heaven. We need to spread the gospel so other people can believe in God and the works that he has done.
Faith is believing in something you can’t see. We must trust God and have faith in Him when going through our lives. Without Him we wouldn’t get anywhere. We can show faith through our actions and words.
This scripture reflection was talking about faith. Faith is believing in something you con not see. Like how we believe in God we put our faith in him and we believe in him to help us. Faith is also something that can not be seen or touched. We should always put our faith in God no matter what.
Jesus tells us not to hide out faith. We should be thankful for Jesus’ sacrifice and you would think people are going to say something about your faith. They’re not going to judge you on how you live out your faith. You’re just going to think they do.
We trust in Jesus or we have Faith in Jesus. Having faith is believing in a certain belief that there is really no proof in and we have Faith in Jesus and there was still not solid proof but some proof that He did what He did. Some people choose to not have Faith in Him but we choose to and Faith leads us to God.
“sees in Christ the very Object whom it desires to love and worship” this also stuck out to me and made me think about my faith because when we think of what turns us away from God, why shouldnt we use these things to turn us closer?
Faith is ultimately an act of will, not of emotion or deduction. I think this right here is exactly right. It’s not an emotion or deduction its just belief and trust. We must believe in God. It’s all he has ever asked for. The kinds of things he does for us and we must repay him back. Faith is putting all you trust in God. You are literally giving yourself up for God. That’s right we can’t even repay God for the things he has done because they are just too great. Trust. Faith.
Faith is like when you believe that someone can do it or something. I have faith in a lot of people like Jesus. Faith is a good thing to have.
Faith is our belief in God without seeing it. We have Faith because we can’t see God, but we can believe in Him because he is always with us and will never leave us for something else. If we have a lot of faith, we can believe in God and that can help us go to Heaven because we know that God is with us. Faith is the first Theological Virtue .
Faith is an action, you must act on faith. God gave us faith to believe in something, Him. We have a powerful belief of God, Christianity is something to be proud of. Faith is truly an act of will, not an emotion. When we believe in God we truly and fully have faith.
What Faith is to me is to humble and kind to others, another way that you could show faithfulness is to go out and spread the word of God. Something that stuck out to me in the gospel was “Go into the world and proclaim the gospel.” Because it’s saying that we should go and spread the word of God
When you search synonyms for the word trust, faith pops up. God’s abilities of healing and demanding out the demons to the apostles and then ascends into Heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father.
Faith is an action, you must act on faith. God gave us faith to believe in something, Him. We have a powerful belief of God, Christianity is something to be proud of. Faith is truly an act of will, not an emotion. When we believe in God we truly and fully have faith..

I think jesus is talking about faith because he had faith in us when he gave us life and we should have faith in him to get to heaven
Faith is believing with not just your mind but with you body also. It’s believing even know you can’t see him
Faith is believing in someone and trusting that they accomplish what they’re trying to do. We need to have Faith in everyone that we encounter because Faith can be the difference in someone’s day. If you tell someone ” I have faith in you” that might make their day into something better. Faith can be difficult sometimes because it is not easy to have Faith in someone that you don’t like or appreciate so we have to power through that thought and always have Faith in someone.
If the person is God, or someone who is doing the right thing. Someone we can trust. This doesn’t mean people don’t change.
Faith is something we participate in. We are not forced to have faith it is something we choose to have. If we have no faith we have no trust in Christ. Having faith is a huge part about being a Catholic. If we have lots of faith in Christ we are able to love and trust him, therefore making us able to go to heaven.
“Go into the whole world
and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved;”
Believing in God and having faith in God are 2 separate things. We can believe, believing is just accepting something but having faith is having complete trust and confidence that God really is true, you don’t need to see God to believe he’s real if you have true faith. God WANTS us to have a relationship with him, he reaches out to us every day but it’s up to US to accept him and really bring him into our lives.
Faith is believing in something or someone. It’s not something that just happens you have faith in a person for a reason. I have faith in Jesus because it is something I choose to believe in. Faith shouldn’t be based on other people’s opinions, but it should be based on yours.
Trusting someone or something is faith, believing in something. we should have faith and trust in God that he wills the good for us and he loves us.
Faith is like trust, we are trusting and believing in God. There is so much proof that God exists and yet some people are still following Satan. Satan tries his hardest to get us to not have faith and trust God because that means we won’t become like him. Faith is knowing that God exists and trusting that one day we will join Him in Heaven.
Reese, you are spot on! I can see that you are understanding and growing your faith and belief in God through a relationship with Him! Good job!
Jesus tells us to have faith and why? because intelligence is limited even if it is very wide. eventually if we get far enough we will know everything about anything. with faith, there is never a limit, a restriction, or an end to it because it is simply infinite, you can never have too much faith, because there will never be anything to stop you. unlike popularity, wealth, honor, and pleasure which we all want, it actually will help us in filling the God sized whole is our heart. unlike the temporary glue we use, wealth pleasure etc., this is like welding it together our humanity with God as we become one with him and receive the greatest reward that could have possibly existed, God.
Sebastian, your wisdom in this reflection shows me you understand and have a great relationship with God. You inspire me to do better in my faith! I can’t wait to see what you become.
we believe because there is facts about Jesus being true and here on earth. we must keep our decision about the love we give to the belief we have that this is true and the known of God is what we still look for today. we use technology to prove to others that Jesus was here and that he is the one and only God.
Lucas, great wisdom! Praise God and continue to glorify Him with your life!
