Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.

This is what John the Baptist proclaimed:
“One mightier than I is coming after me.
I am not worthy to stoop and loosen the thongs of his sandals.
I have baptized you with water;
he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”

It happened in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee
and was baptized in the Jordan by John.
On coming up out of the water he saw the heavens being torn open
and the Spirit, like a dove, descending upon him.
And a voice came from the heavens,
“You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.” MK 1:7-11

The Holy Spirit descends on Jesus as he comes out of the water. The Holy Trinity showed up on earth on this day together as One. This event starts the Proclamation of the Kingdom of Heaven to the world and for us this establishes forever on earth the day we are adopted sons and daughters of God and have a share in the Divine life. The Divine became Human so the human could become divine. We receive the Holy Spirit and have the gifts and fruits to attain eternal life. This is the same Holy Spirit that we received at our baptism and confirmation, the same Holy Spirit that Pope Francis and St. Francis received. God gives us everything we need to conquer sin, our fallen human nature, and the Evil one. We have God in us in the Holy Spirit, an intellect to think and remember, and a will to choose. With God’s grace through the sacraments (receive them daily if possible) and the Holy Spirit inside us, and our spiritual powers of mind and will, we have all we need to become a saint. Your spiritual powers are greater than any superheroes, fight Evil and allow God to work through you and save the world!

Today’s challenge: You have been given a purpose in this place and in this time, don’t miss your mission and what you are called to be and do! God doesn’t make mistakes and if you did not exist there would be a gaping hole in many people’s lives. Take time to pray in the same place at the same time to listen to what God has to tell you. Stop putting yourself down and be positive. God has big plans for you, take time to stop and listen to what they are. His plans will make you the happiest! Through your baptism, God has given you an opportunity to be holy and live with Him forever. Don’t miss out on the greatest gift you can possible receive from your Maker! Jesus gave His life for you to have this opportunity.

Be a servant, become a saint!
