“FOR GOD DID NOT SEND HIS SON INTO THE WORLD TO CONDEMN THE WORLD, BUT THAT THE WORLD MIGHT BE SAVED THROUGH HIM”. JN 3:17
Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross
Brothers and sisters:
Christ Jesus, though he was in the form of God,
did not regard equality with God something to be grasped.
Rather, he emptied himself,
taking the form of a slave,
coming in human likeness;
and found human in appearance,
he humbled himself,
becoming obedient to death,
even death on a cross.
Because of this, God greatly exalted him
and bestowed on him the name
that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus
every knee should bend,
of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue confess that
Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father. Phil 2:6-11
Jesus said to Nicodemus:
“No one has gone up to heaven
except the one who has come down from heaven, the Son of Man. And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert,
so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.”
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him might not perish
but might have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. JN 3:13-17
Today is not the feast of the Exaltation of Greg Goertz. It is not the feast of the Exaltation of our cell phone or the Internet. It is not the Feast of the Exaltation of wealth and power, honor, and pleasure (4 things St. Thomas Aquinas said Jesus nailed to the cross that we seek for our happiness instead of God). It is not the feast of the Exaltation of the best looks and popularity. It is not the Feast of the Exaltation of video games. It is not the feast of the Exaltation of work.
My pride and stubbornness get in the way of allowing God to love me. He has done everything He can by giving us His only Son through death on a cross and continues to sacrifice by staying hidden in bread and wine until He returns. He is with us in prayer, ““For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.” MT 18:20 Christ died not to condemn us but save us. Save us from what? Our fallen human nature, the devil, pride, earthly possessions, envy, disordered passions so that we may have hope, peace, joy, love, grace and eternal life.
When we do not give ourselves totally and completely to the One who created us and has given us EVERYTHING we do not exalt the cross. When we do not offer our daily crosses and suffering up to Christ we do not exalt the cross. When we do not allow God to love us and forgive us, we do not exalt the cross. When we give into our human desires and do not fight the temptations of the Devil, we do not exalt the cross. When we worship our cell phones, electronics, big homes, fancy cars, our looks, popularity, we do not exalt the cross.
When we get caught up in ourselves and fail to live our vocation (which is to die to self and be in service of the other), we fail to exalt the cross. When we do not love God, others, and ourselves, we fail to exalt the cross. When we fail to get down on our knees and look up at the crucifix each morning we rise and give thanks to God for what He has done for us, we fail to exalt the cross. When we fail to pray and visit Jesus who is waiting patiently for us in the tabernacles of our Churches and Adoration chapels, we fail to exalt the cross. This leads to misery and a lot of confusion. I know I’ve lived it. I have failed at each one of these.
I need a Savior because I don’t know what love is otherwise and I can’t be with the One who loves me the most. ”Humble thyself in the sight of the Lord.” Pray before a crucifix anywhere in silence and get to know your Savior.
Today’s challenge: Accept yourself as a sinner with a fallen nature who needs a Savior. Give glory to God for giving us a Savior and His life!!! He loves us so much!!! Pray before a crucifix anywhere and get to know your Savior. Share the love He gives you with others.
Be a servant, become a saint!
#Christian YOLO
what first stood out to me was that Jesus was in a form of God but he didn’t show off his power he took it for good to teach us.
“When we get caught up in ourselves and fail to live our vocation (which is to die to self and be in service of the other), we fail to exalt the cross. When we do not love God, others, and ourselves, we fail to exalt the cross. When we fail to get down on our knees and look up at the crucifix each morning we rise and give thanks to God for what He has done for us, we fail to exalt the cross.”
This also stood out to me we should take our time when kneeling or genuflect or even praying because that’s what he did to us
to put our phones down and talk to him in person
we then get caught up and don’t follow the vocation to not help or be kind to others.
When we do not allow God to love us and forgive us and we do not exalt the cross.
He was the only man without sin and still acted as if he was a slave he could of backed down from everything cause he can make anything happen but instead he gave up his life fully for the people who sin the most. He died on that cross for the people that hurt him by the sames sins over and over again so that we could have eternal life after our life here on the earth.
“he humbled himself” We NEED to be more humble as a human race. This generation is just showing how much stuff you have. Instead of having earthly possessions, we should have spiritual possessions (virtue).
We need to stop caring so much about us, ourselves, and what others think about us and just love Jesus. Just spend some time talking and just listening to what he has to say to us.
My favorite part of scripture was ““No one has gone up to heaven
except the one who has come down from heaven, the Son of Man. And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert,
so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.” He sent down HIS son Jesus to save us from sin. People think Jesus rubs it in our face that he is God no, he humbles himself yes HE himself humbles himself.
today scripture says to me that God will do anything for us cause he loves us. God came down to earth in human flesh to save us. he suffered the pain of the cross to save us from our sin. All we need to do is trust him.
In todays reading, It says that Jesus was in the form of God but came down as a slave. God didn’t have to send Jesus to save us from our sins, But he did because he loves us and wants us to return to him in Heaven. Because God sent Jesus now his name is exalted over every name.
Our sins get in the way of allowing God to love us. God has done so much to get us to go to Him but our sin always gets in the way. We need to push our sins away so we can go to God.
The Cross was a horrid, disgusting thing. Yet, even the cross, through the power of Jesus and God, became a symbol of God’s power and Love. This transformation is proof that God can change even the most evil things and change them to benefit the Glory of God. Evil is evil, and that in essence is bad. But! With God’s grace, Good can come from Evil, all you have to do is give God a chance to work His magic.
Jesus came in HUMAN FORM. HE came as one of us to show that He wasn’t using His power to get what He wants. He came in a weaker form of Himself and died for us, because WE are sinners, not HIM.
We are not saved by the actions we choose to make, but through Jesus. He died on the cross not to condemn the world but to save it and God has done everything to try to bring us closer to Him by sending down His only Son, Jesus Christ. sometimes pride and and envy get in the way of us loving God but that’s why Jesus was sent, to save us from that.
Oftentimes, we get distracted from what is important. We all do get distracted at times, but we CANNOT forget what is important. if we do, we wouldn’t be happy.
Christ Jesus, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God something to be grasped. Rather, he emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness; and found human in appearance, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross. this stuck out to me because god could have chosen to come back rich and known by everyone but he decided to live reality normally and not known so he had to work to be known but all he knew was that whatever he does, at the end he will save us.
he gave everything to us and we sin then he forgives then we sin agen he forgives again he will always be there with us and we need to know that and talk to him and pray to him because he is always there isoning to us constantly so he knows when we sin and don’t go to confession he knows that if we lesion to him or if we don’t
“Christ Jesus, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God something to be grasped. Rather, he emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness.” This phrase stuck out to me because Jesus Christ is God but he didn’t want to be treated like God on Earth. He wanted to be just like a slave or like us. We shouldn’t want to be better than God or anyone else. We should be humble like Jesus and just be like everyone else or even lower than everyone else and help them.
“FOR GOD DID NOT SEND HIS SON INTO THE WORLD TO CONDEMN THE WORLD, BUT THAT THE WORLD MIGHT BE SAVED THROUGH HIM”. JN 3:17
I think God is trying to tell us today that we need to be focused on him more than everything else in this world. He is telling us that its not about our video games, phones, television or anything else. But that we need to be focused on him more.
I think God is trying to tell us that we need too beleive in him and everything will be okay. For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him might not perish
but might have eternal life.
“FOR GOD DID NOT SEND HIS SON INTO THE WORLD TO CONDEMN THE WORLD, BUT THAT THE WORLD MIGHT BE SAVED THROUGH HIM”. This part of the scripture stuck to me. God gave his only son to save us. God gave us so many sacrifices to save us and to get rid of our sins. Jesus gave himself up to the cross as a sacrifice for us and for our sins.
I think that Jesus is telling us that we are in the same image and likeness of god just as he came down and died.
“Today is not the feast of the Exaltation of Greg Goertz. It is not the feast of the Exaltation of work.” This means that we are not supposed to only think about us or about how we look or about our friends, but we need to be centered around Jesus.
God loves us so much that He gave us his son that died for us.Sometimes people forget about Jesus and put things in front of Jesus but we need to put God and Jesus first before everything.Jesus will always love us and be their for us.
I think what the Lord is saying Jesus Christ Came down to earth died on the Cross shed blood and tears and Resurrected just for you to sometimes go to mass? We need to go to mass every Sunday and more. The Lord deserves better than just sometimes going to mass
To me this scripture tells me that we need to sacrifice stuff and not take for granted all the stuff we get to enjoy and that we need to pray and worship God and Jesus and remember he sacrificed so much for us.
“When we get caught up in ourselves and fail to live our vocation, we fail to exalt the cross.” This stood out to me and helped me to understand to have time to pray to God everyday and love others. Whenever we fall and or become weak and tired, we have to look up at the Crucifix and ask God to give us strength to keep helping and loving others.
When we do this we can get into Heaven and be with Christ after we die.
Some things that stuck out to me was that this gospel really tells us how much Jesus loves us it says “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him might not perish
but might have eternal life. Those verses from the Bible are very important and famous, and they should be because it is a great message.,
When we fail to love others, give in to our human desires, and care only for popularity and how our looks affect that, we fail to love God and fail to exalt the cross. God gave his only son for our salvation and we sin every day. That’s normal, but we have to make an effort not to sin.
I think Jesus is trying to tell me that when we don’t put God first, disobey our parents ect. we do not do the will of Christ. “For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but the world might be saved through Him.” Our Lord came down to earth to suffer for our sins so that we have the choice to be with Him in heaven when we die.
Jesus came to Earth as a slave so he could sacrifice himself for us. He didn’t do it to condemn us He did it to save us. We don’t repay him as we should and we can never repay Him because he is loving and forgiving. We don’t give time to Him to pray/talk, we give that time up for electronics not for the one who saved us from our sins.
I think the verse ¨For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him,¨ means is that God did not send Jesus here to just tell us about believing and having faith in God. God also sent Jesus here for us to believe in him to be saved not just to hear him speak about it.
“For God didn’t send his son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him.” -John 3:17
I think that means God gave us his son to help show us the way, not to just point out what we are doing wrong. We need to follow Jesus, so we can be saved in his name.
Earthly temptations and earthly wants get in the way of our relationship with God. They keep us from giving ourselves to God.We should do our best not to give in to these temptations, because by giving in we do not exult the cross. We should also focuse on loving God and loving others to exult the cross.
Something that stuck out to me was “Christ Jesus, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God something to be grasped.” I think this means that when Jesus was on earth he was just like us, this means that we can be holy and be just like Jesus.
Today God was telling me that he would do anything to spare us and wants peace in the world. The world was cruel at the time Jesus came down to earth and the world is still cruel to this day,but God wanted us to believe even more so he came to preach to this world. The scripture said “that Rather, he emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness;and found human in appearance,he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross.”
God loves us so much that he sent Jesus to die for us. We should worship Jesus and praise him.
I think God Is telling me that he wants peace in the world and he would do anything to spare us.
the part that stuck out to me was when it said he became a slave and i think that’s when he went down to earth because he had to suffer from the people that didn’t believe him and the people that did believe him but still didn’t listen to what he said and made fun of him
As John said in the gospel today God did not think he was better than us. So we should not think that we are better than anyone else on this planet and we are not worse than anyone else. There is only one human that is better than us and that is Jesus Christ. We should strive to be as humble as Jesus was. Instead of him thinking he was better than us he made himself the lowest of humans at that time. Jesus is the only one that made himself the lowest human and that is why Jesus is the name above every other name as it says in today’s gospel.
I think that this passage tells us to worship God in everything that we do when we fall down we have to get up, and this passage is also telling us not to worship false items.
The thing that god tried to tell us was that we are no better than the person sitting next to us but the only person that is better than us is Jesus Christ because he was the one that saved us but he made him self look like the lowest of all humans and that we should all strive to be like him at one point in our life.
god gave himself up for us we need to do it for him
God loves us so much that he sent down his son to die for us. The lord came down to suffer for our sins. We should always praise him and love him.
For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst. I think it is a powerful saying because He is showing us his love at hard and easy times.
God loves us so much that he sent down his son to die for us. The lord came down to suffer for our sins. We should always praise him and love him. We should always be kind to others no matter what.
I think that Jesus is trying to tell us that for us to go to heaven we must first lower ourselves to be servants of the lord.
If we do the wrong thing God wont stop you but you will life a bad earth life but if you do what God says you will gave a good Earth life.
I think that these verses mean that Jesus didn’t come down from Heaven and die just to punish us, He came down to save us. He became human and acted as a slave, and even died on a cross to save us from our sins.
The gospel today is about how Jesus came down from heaven and could of done any thing with his infinite power but decided to stay humble and tell us about the glory of hevan and eternal life
God is telling us that he sacrifices himself for us and we still sin. God is saying he also wants world peace. God just wants us to love him and that he can save us from hell so he will sacrifice himself for us so we can live a happy eternal life in heaven.
What stood out to me was how much Jesus really cared about us. I just hit me because i have not opened my eyes to what he has done for me. he died on the cross for ME for My sins and now that I think of it that is so so so special. he loved me and the rest of the world so much he got tortured then got nailed to the cross and stayed there for 3 hours till he died and he did that for us.
“And every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.” This verse stuck out to me because there have been times when I’ve been embarrassed by our faith. Like when I’m in public sometimes I try to hide the fact that I’m catholic. I don’t know why I’m embarrassed but I care what other people will think if they see me and realize I’m catholic. I’m trying to not do this because it shouldn’t matter what other people think because our faith is the truth and Christ is our lord and redeemer.
I appreciate your honesty and I believe a lot of people feel this way!
God is telling us that we need to know that the son of man is the one sharing information from heaven and granting you the kingdom of god which is at hand. Jesus told Nicodemus that whoever believes in him shall not parish but have eternal life like in John (3:16). so god is handing us the key to heaven and we can’t throw it away.
I think that Jesus is trying to tell us that worshiping God will always to come out on top. We can’t just live our faith because we have to but because we want to.we need to really listen to hear his voice and it doesn’t matter what other people think of you. just worship and don’t forget that God is our top priority.
Jesus gave everything to us. God is trying to tell us to belive in him, and even tho there are temptations to keep us away from God even though God sent Jesus to us because he loves us so much. When we sin he forgives no matter what. Thats how great Jesus is he will do anything for us. Jesus will always love us and be there for us.
I think God was telling us that he would do anything for us and all he wants us to do is to worship him. Like praying the rosary every night before you go to bed or just going to Mass every sunday just the little things like that, that’s all he wants from us, we need to make worshiping God and Jesus a priority just like eating and drink.
Only the people that help people, giving thanks to God every morning, are the ones who exalt the cross or in other words love Jesus.
“No one has gone up to heaven” I think it means that all who have died are waiting for Jesus to come and let them into heaven.
This sentence stuck out to me, when we do not give ourselves completely to the one who created us we do not exalt the cross. That means we need to give ourselves up completely to God and Jesus.
He was the only man without since but yet he was token in for a slave. When he was crucified he still forgave the people that didn’t treat him very good and died for them.
“he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death.” When God sent down Jesus, he could have sent someone of unlimited wealth and power, but he instead sent down a common man. He did this to lower himself to our level, as low as possible. He could have been born in a palace, but was born in a manger. He could have been king of the world, but was born to a poor family.
Jesus came down to earth to save us from our sins. He could have saved himself from all the pain and suffering but instead he decided to put himself through torture FOR US. Jesus did this because he loves and cares for us and he wants us to have a chance to make it in heaven.
Because Jesus did everything God wanted him to do, God greatly exalted Him. We have to do what God calls us to do so that when we die, he will see either we followed His ways, or if we didn’t. This is how He decided if we go to Heaven or hell
Jesus was humble, he came in the form of a human to be treated as a human and not like God. He wanted to be treated just like anyone else.
we should be praising God every single day. But we only do it when we are supposed to. We need to be willing to love God and to know God. He is our one and only savior and He will always love us no matter what
becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross.
Jesus stooped so low to die on the cross for us. What stuck out to me was that it says he became obedient to death.
Jesus became obediant to his fathers will. He allowed us to kill him so that we could have etaernal life. Bow down to God. Every knee shall bend. At Jesus’ baptism, God says this is my son for whom I am well pleased. Jesus did everything that God asked of him. We should all folow in his footsteps
Loving God is important. He shows us kindness and love but sometimes we don ´ t show it back, like going to Church on Sundays, Fasting before Mass, Going to Church on Holy Days, and praying. Some people only pray the Meals prayer and that is it. We need and can show him what we are capable of by giving, praying, taking our time and helping others. I know it sounds stupid and think it´s dumb but in reality you are showing the world and many other people around it, how much you care for others. I don ´ t do all of these things everyday but I do go to Church, I donate about every Sunday to charity boxes or Hospitals whenever I can, and I volunteer at the Lord ´ s diner a few times. Helping out and caring for others is showing how much you appreciate others, even at home. Doing chores, helping your parents , or cleaning when you know when it´s a mess.
God is so humble that he came down to Earth as the lowest of the low when He Himself is the Highest of the High so He can experience what we feel so He can turn us to Him.
The people who exalt the cross are the people who love Jesus and praise and worship him. The people who care about popularity, looks, and money they don’t exalt the cross.
What God is trying to say is that he is the almighty ever living God and we should praise him, but even then he still became human and “humbled himself” to be with us then die on a cross for us.
We need to worship God and give him all of us. Get rid of all of the distractions and just focus on God. Jesus put him on the level of us and died. He died and in return we need to worship Him and the Father.
In this reading God is trying to tell us that His son became so low like a slave so he could die on the cross just for us and in-turn conquered death and became our salvation. because God so loved us that He gave us His only Son to die on the cross for our sins and for all the sins of the world so that we may go to heaven and rejoice eternally with Him, and we can because we know people have done it before.
“Taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness; and found human in appearance, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death.” This stuck out to me because Jesus could have come down from Heaven and had all of the powers in the world, but he chose to come down as fully human. He came down and suffered just like we do, but he suffered more, because He took all of our sins and our suffering. He instead gave us love, grace, compassion, and forgiveness.
“Christ Jesus, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God.” This sentence is showing us the true, loving Jesus that died for our sins. Even when he was fully God and perfect in every way, he still acted as a normal person. Jesus got baptized as an example for us and he did it, because we wanted to show that he was below God. We must look up to Jesus and be able to be proud of our faith and teachings.
Jesus gave up EVERYTHING just for us and to save us, he became fully man just like any other human person to save us, but we just struggle to put our phones down for a couple minutes to pray and talk to him. We need to stop just always thinking about ourselves because not everything is about us. Jesus did everything for us the least we could do is just follow him and talk with him.
I think God is trying to tell us that if we praise Him, He will raise us up. We already know that he will lift us up when we praise Him, but I think this scripture reflection is trying to remind us to do that. Adding on to that, every time we bless God or any person Mary works through God.
God sent his son, Jesus to save us. And though Jesus had the power of God he chose to be a slave and die for us.He loves everyone.
In this scripture I was reminded to be humble like Jesus.
“FOR GOD DID NOT SEND HIS SON INTO THE WORLD TO CONDEMN THE WORLD, BUT THAT THE WORLD MIGHT BE SAVED THROUGH HIM” this really stuck out to me because it reiderates the fact that even though all of us are sinners, Jesus still loves all of us individually, and he loves us so much that he gave his life for us.
He gave everything to us. We sin then he forgives then we sin again he forgives again he will always be there with us. We need to know that talk to him and pray to him. He’s always there isoning to us constantly so he knows when we sin. Don’t go to confession he knows that if we lesion to him or if we don’t.
at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. He is the Lord, no matter if it takes us 1 time hearing it to know it is true or 100. He is our Lord, our Savior. we need to follow in His foot steps and do what we were created to.
A big part of being human is always comparing yourself to others. Why do we think we are better than other people when the King of the Universe was humble? We should strive to let go of our pride and stubbornness and learn to love each other as He does.
He gave us everything and we still sin and he forgives us. We need to know that he’s always with us and will always be there so we can pray to him and he can help us.
Jesus loves us so much, that he scarificed himself up for us. We do not deserve him, but he is understanding and loves us no matter what.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. This stuck out to me because imagine putting your only son in the front lines of war, it is scary because that is your son and you are just putting them where they are going to die for you. That is what God did for us to give us eternal life. It wasn’t because God was endangered to put his son on the line it was because we were endangered.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son,so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him.Is the part that sticks out to me because God didn’t send Jesus to tell us were all bad and we need to go to hell but to help save us by sacrificing his beloved son.
Jesus Came down to earth to save us. Jesus saved us from sin and death, now we can live eternally with him in heaven.
the only thing that you should exalt is the cross and if you are exalting anything else, you are not exalting the cross. this ties into the commandments and how you should worship no other God but him.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him.” This stuck out to me because God became human and died for us , FOR US like we honestly don’t deserve his love but he loves us anyways. He saved us because of the amount of love he has for us and he wants us to spend eternity with him but if don’t want to then he will send you to hell where you can spend all of eternity without God just like you wanted. We must believe in him and put our trust into everything he does. We need to learn to love God the way he loves us.
we need to focus on God. we need to stop caring about what others think of us, and focus more on God and what hes trying to teach us
we have one life to live, we shouldnt waste on stupid usless things like our phones, we need to be present in time with Jesus, go out side and leave the toxicty of social media away to keep our bond with God strong, at the end of the day He is the only thing that matters, that being said you should want to leave a posititive mark on the world when God calls you to heaven, be kind be full of love and light like jesus called you to do.
“No one has gone up to heaven
except the one who has come down from heaven, the Son of Man.”
this one quote is really good, if you have not lived on earth then you can’t go into heaven
It is not always easy to love God. Yeah sure you do but it’s the little things, like praying every day that’s like 5 minutes when you wake up and go to bed. Sometimes we struggle with that, it is human, none of us are perfect and that’s fine. But if we can just get those habits in then it will be a lot easier for the rest of our lives, Again 5 minutes at the beginning and end of the day.
I think its cool that Jesus did not take the form of a great king and was just a lowly servant
Jesus was so humble that He would go down so many levels to become shoulder to shoulder with us. He was so humble to die on a cross. Getting humiliated in front of hundreds of people carrying His cross. Getting whipped, beaten, and tortured so badly and yet He never once screamed in pain He never once doubted the Fathers plan. He was humble, so why aren’t we.
“Christ Jesus, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God something to be grasped. Rather, he emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness.” This stuck out to me because Jesus didn’t want to be treated like God, He wanted to be treated like us. We should be humble like Him.
I think god is telling us to give up our self to him.God also gave his only son to save us.
“Christ Jesus, though he was in the form of God,
did not regard equality with God something to be grasped.
Rather, he emptied himself,
taking the form of a slave.” to me this means that Jesus is prepared to do anything.
It stuck out to me how much Jesus would have to have loved us to literally die for us. There are times in life where our faith is something we cover up with a different personality than who we really are and he helps us to express our true selves.
We need to care for God more and stop thinking about what others say.
”Humble thyself in the sight of the Lord.” This quote is a quoted one all the time. It means to be respectful to Jesus and yourself.
” everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.” This stuck out to me because we should always follow and trust in God and all the work that he does in the world so that someday we can maybe get to heaven.
I think god is telling us that give us to him. That he gave his only son to us.
The thing that stood out to me was this. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but have eternal life.
Jesus did not die for us to condenm the world but he did it for us so that we could get to heaven to save us from sin. Some people think that Jesus died just to gain popularity but he didnt he died for our sins so that we could go to heaven and see HIM in heaven to be with HIM.
We need to humble ourselves, put down the material distractions and worship God, for he sent his only son to die for our sins so that we might go to Heaven.
I think god is trying to say or to tell us is that we should put him first and always go to mass on sunday he should be first and then everything should come after. Jesus died on the cross for us dont you think he wants us to go to heaven because he does he loves you so u should love him back.
Christ Jesus, though he was in the form of God,
did not regard equality with God something to be grasped.
Rather, he emptied himself,
taking the form of a slave,
coming in human likeness;
and found human in appearance,
he humbled himself,
becoming obedient to death,
even death on a cross.
Because of this, God greatly exalted him
and bestowed on him the name
that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus
every knee should bend,
of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue confess that
Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father. This part stuck me out the most because Jesus could’ve been God down her on Earth but He decided to be like human.I think Jesus is telling us to be human and worship God.
Remember, He is God and Man, not God above and human on earth.
I think it means God is telling us he has the information we need and it’s saying Jesus gave up his life for us. All that he went through just for us and all he gifted. He is the one true god that gave up a lot for us.
This told me that Jesus went through so much just for us! He wasn’t forced to, he wanted to! We are sinful people, we make mistakes, some bigger than others! But God always forgives! No matter how bad or sinful the person may be, God loves them just as much as everyone else. Even the people that don’t believe he is real! God is God, and no one can take that title from him!
This sentence in the passage stuck out to me, God did not send his son Jesus just to let him condemn the world, but that he might save us. This sentence gave me strength to believe that Jesus is the reason why we are here on this earth this very day because he died for us, so that we could be made new and live a wonderful life. We are not ever going to be the best humans either, we are all sinners, everyone in this world is a sinner no matter how much they believe or disbelieve that they are not sinners but they really are! Jesus is the best thing that’s happened to us in the whole world!
Jesus cares for us all the time.
This scripture means to me that Jesus does everything to help us yet we still sin and disobey the 10 commandments. We spend too much time on things that distract us from Jesus
Jesus died for our sins so that we can be here today. Jesus is sinless and he died for us sinners, he could’ve walked away and not do this for us, but he gave up his life for us, for the people that sin against him the most. He loves us so much that we sin against him over and over and he forgives us and is so merciful.
“FOR GOD DID NOT SEND HIS SON INTO THE WORLD TO CONDEMN THE WORLD, BUT THAT THE WORLD MIGHT BE SAVED THROUGH HIM”. JN 3:17 I think God is trying to tell us that he would save us any day and will love us no matter what.
God loves us and cares for us so much that he was willing to give up is son to save us. This scripture also told me that we should sacrifice some of the things we like to remember all the thing that God sacrificed for us.
Today we hear about Jesus. He tells us that “every knee should bend.” That tells us that Jesus is above everything on earth, hell and Heaven. No one shall be greater than Jesus. He is our savior who came to save us from this world of sin. He also tells us that no one has been in Heaven, only Him. So that means when He did for us and raised from the dead. He raised a lot more people up with Him.
God call us to be more like him. We have not given him all the attention God deserves. We were all made in the image of God, and he made us all unique. We should put down our phones and screens and give that time to praise God. “God did not send his own son to the world to condemn us but to save us.” JN 3:13-17 That scripture stuck out to me today.
I think god is trying to tell us that he didn’t send jesus down here for nothing. He sent him here to show us how to love god and love others.
