Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.

Brothers and sisters:
Scripture confined all things under the power of sin,
that through faith in Jesus Christ
the promise might be given to those who believe.

Before faith came, we were held in custody under law,
confined for the faith that was to be revealed.
Consequently, the law was our disciplinarian for Christ,
that we might be justified by faith.
But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a disciplinarian.
For through faith you are all children of God in Christ Jesus.
For all of you who were baptized into Christ
have clothed yourselves with Christ.
There is neither Jew nor Greek,
there is neither slave nor free person,
there is not male and female;
for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants,
heirs according to the promise.  Gal 3:22-29

While Jesus was speaking,
a woman from the crowd called out and said to him,
“Blessed is the womb that carried you
and the breasts at which you nursed.”
He replied, “Rather, blessed are those
who hear the word of God and observe it.” Lk 11:27-28

St. Paul again reminds us of our identity as a follower of Christ.  ”For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.”  Our identity is adopted son or daughter of God through Jesus Christ.  We are all brothers and sisters in Christ.  Amazing!  If anyone puts you down, it hurts, but you don’t lose your value or worth.  You are a brother or sister in Christ, one who was created to come to know God’s love, love Him back and others, then return to Him.  You have a purpose, a mission to love.  Where do we gain the knowledge we need to know God?  ”Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it.”  Our Bible that needs to be dusted off needs to be opened up and read and reflected upon in prayer.  Of course, today you can just download a Catholic bible app.  Our calling is to be clothed in Christ, but are we living clothed in Christ?

Today’s challenge:  Read a section of the Gospel each day or read a question and answer out of the YouCat.  Don’t have one! Christmas is right around the corner, it makes sense to ask for a Christian item for Christmas.

Be a servant, become a saint!
