Humbly submit your will to God (thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Jesus said to the crowds:
“Everything that the Father gives me will come to me,
and I will not reject anyone who comes to me,
because I came down from heaven not to do my own will
but the will of the one who sent me.
And this is the will of the one who sent me,
that I should not lose anything of what he gave me,
but that I should raise it on the last day.
For this is the will of my Father,
that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him
may have eternal life,
and I shall raise him on the last day.” Jn 6:37-40

Today, we celebrate the Commemoration of All Souls.  Take time to pray for all deceased relatives, friends, those in your parish, the community, and for all souls.  The Creed states, “I believe in the Communion of Saints”.  We celebrated the Triumphant in heaven yesterday who can pray and help those in purgatory and those on earth.  We ask their intercession each day in prayer.  Today we pray for all of those souls suffering in purgatory.  They cannot gain merit with God anymore and fully rely on the prayers of the saints and our prayers.  The Militant on earth are all baptized souls trying to follow the will of God and receiving His grace through the sacraments.
Today, Jesus makes clear our purpose for being created.  ”For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him may have eternal life, and I shall raise him on the last day.”  We have an earthly body with a Spirit that has a heavenly homeland.  We must spend time daily stirring the Spirit inside of us.  It is our final destination. We believe in an afterlife, a spiritual world.  God gave us a body to bring forth new life with Him and create more souls to fill heaven.  He also gave us a body to help the least of His people and be missionaries in our own homes.  Use your body for good.  It starts by feeding your Spirit with the Eucharist, prayer, and Scripture.  Since Jesus died and resurrected we have the ability to conquer sin in our lives through the grace of Baptism and avenues of grace in the Sacraments.   Open yourself to God’s grace, conquer sin in your life, and experience joy in this life and the next.
