Humbly submit your will to God (thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Jesus appeared to the Eleven and said to them:
“Go into the whole world
and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved;
whoever does not believe will be condemned.
These signs will accompany those who believe:
in my name they will drive out demons,
they will speak new languages.
They will pick up serpents with their hands,
and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them.
They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”  Mk 16:15-18

Jesus is very straightforward today about mission and purpose.  We are all created for a very specific purpose, it is our identity as a Christian.  We are created out of God’s love, something so special that He did not want to keep it to Himself. God needed nothing, He is God.  Love was so wonderful, He wanted to share it.  Once we have learned this Jesus asks us to “Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.”  Our mission is to bring Christ to the world starting in our homes.  The family we have are the ones who should know that you love them more than anyone in the world.  Then, those in our parishes and communities.  What is the Gospel?  It is the Good News that we were lost and now we are found.  We were condemned to hell by our sin and fallen nature and Jesus Christ has saved us so that we may return to our Creator in eternal life!  How are we saved?  Repent (change your life, follow the commandments and fight sin, take care of the least of God’s people, offer up your daily sufferings, and most importantly come to God’s grace through the sacraments) and be baptized.  ”Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned”.  When we are baptized we make vows to renounce Satan and follow the Creed.  How are you doing in fighting Satan and fighting sin and temptations?  What measures have you taken to avoid the near occasion of sin?  When is the last time you read the Youcat, Bible, or Catechism to remind yourself of what we believe?  It must be a daily reminder that we are baptized, set apart by God for a special mission, and called to get to heaven-become a saint!  God has given us everything we need.  We are baptized in the same waters as Pope Francis and St. Francis.  They are not more baptized than us.  Find your purpose by praying and giving your will over to God each day, then hold on for one great adventure.  You are saved, live like it!  Then, when everyone asks why you are filled with so much joy, share the Good News!

Today’s challenge: “Go into the world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.”
