Jesus said to the crowds:
“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened,
and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am meek and humble of heart;
and you will find rest for yourselves.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.” MT 11: 28-30
Meek means gentle, obedient, submissive, quiet, humble. Humble means no matter how much one has accomplished or how much fame they may have they are not proud and do not advertise themselves. Jesus knows we are suffering in this “valley of tears”. He died with is arms stretched out wide and His head bent to kiss you. Come to Him!
Today’s challenge: Kneel before a crucifix on a hard surface and tell Jesus all about the hardships in your life, the struggles and frustration of repeating the same sins, offer Him your heart.
We are saints in training! Become a saint!
