Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.
A leper came to him and kneeling down begged him and said,
“If you wish, you can make me clean.”
Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand,
touched the leper, and said to him,
“I do will it. Be made clean.”
The leprosy left him immediately, and he was made clean.
Then, warning him sternly, he dismissed him at once.
Then he said to him, “See that you tell no one anything,
but go, show yourself to the priest
and offer for your cleansing what Moses prescribed;
that will be proof for them.”
The man went away and began to publicize the whole matter.
He spread the report abroad
so that it was impossible for Jesus to enter a town openly.
He remained outside in deserted places,
and people kept coming to him from everywhere. MK 1:40-45
Imagine being banned from your family, friends, school, workplace, community, everybody. There are other lepers living with you in misery outside the towns. You may have lost all hope. Then, you hear that there is a Man that can cure you and set you free of your illness. Just as the leper did, we would fall to our knees and beg Jesus to heal us. Now, stop imagining and instead of a leper insert you and me as a sinner. Jesus wills to heal us and He willed to die on cross to fulfill His Father’s will to save us. He wills Baptism, reconciliation, and gives Himself to us totally and completely in the Eucharist, so that we have an opportunity for His grace and to be forgiven when we fall so that we can come back to Him healed of our infirmities, holy, and enter heaven. Jesus told the leper to show himself to the priest to be cleansed by what Moses prescribed, so that the priests would allow him back into their religious community. We too must forgive and allow people back into our lives. Forgiveness sets free the chains that bind us filled with hatred, anger, frustration, worry, anxiety, and bitterness towards another. Forgive and experience peace.
“Say please, thank you, and I’m sorry every day.” –Pope Francis
Today’s challenge: Allow Christ to heal your wounds, come before Him begging on your knees.
Be a servant, become a saint!
#Christian YOLO
This bible story tells me that i should be thankful for what I have because it could always be worse.
We need to come to Jesus when we fall. He will always heal us when we ask Him to. Jesus loves us soooo much!!!!!!! Pray every day and ask Him for forgiveness. #becomeasaint
Jesus is trying to tell us that He is there to heal our sins. He is there to forgive us for what we did wrong. When we sin, we need to beg to Jesus to save us like the leper. Even though we aren’t lepers, we still need to be healed spiritually.
Jesus is telling me today in the scripture to always remember to keep my body and soul, pure and clean.
Even though the leper technically disobeyed Jesus, he was spreading the word. He knew it was God and proclaimed it, therefor disobeying him, but in this case I believe it wouldn’t be a sin. He was proclaiming the Good Word, helping the others believe.
Jesus wants us to turn away from sin as the leper turned from leprosy. Only through the help of Jesus can it be accomplished.
I will do my best to say please, thank you and Iḿ sorry more. So thank you Mr. Goertz for making this blog and teaching me the way.
Jesus healed the man and felt sorry for him but the man told everyone.
Jesus is trying to reveal to us to trust him and do what we are told. If we do these things he will heal us from our sins like he healed the leper.
Ask and it shall be given unto you seek and you will find. In this scripture a leper is asking God to heal him and he does but when God grants us with gifts we must always stay humble instead of having much pride. If we pray to God and ask him to grant us things we need he will always help us out but we should stay humble rather than boasting or bragging. We should be grateful for every little thing God has gifted us with.
Jesus is telling me that we should not have to see to believe and to forgive all those who have sinned just like what Jesus did to the leper.
Mr. Goertz, I really enjoyed your reflection on how we can come to Jesus each and every day for forgiveness. Thank you for creating a reflection every day so that we can read it. Keep doing good.
This passage is telling me that God will “make lean” our sins or in other words he will forgive us. Also we should ask God for things we need or want; he might say yes as he did to the leper.

It is very simple if what we ask from God is healing He will give it to us if we are truly and heartily sorry for our sins.

God told the leper to not publicize it but he did which is disobeying God but he is spreading the good news and have Jesus grow in followers and more and more people go and flock to him.
If you wish and pray hard enough you ill be clean of sin
This is telling me that he give back to us and loves us.
I don’t know what I would do if I had to be deserted from my family. I would never want that to happen so I need to trust in God.
I learned that Jesus did anything for everyone and that includes dyeing on the cross for our sins and curing a leper.
I believe that God is trying to tell me that when He tells me or cures me of something, that I must not tell anyone unless it is His will
When need to act like that leper and truly have that faith that he did. We may not think we are not a leper but we are with sin so we need to ask foe forgiveness.

Jesus is teaching us that he can forgive are sins and clense us but we go back out and sin more but we know that God will always forgive us.
I feel like God is telling me that i could do little things like holding the door for people and treating them with respect.
I think it told me that God will always forgive you.
I feel that many people are in need of healing in the troubled world that we live in. I believe that we should all turn to Jesus for healing everyday and love one another.
we should be open to going to Jesus and asking for forgiveness so he may cleanse our sins.
i think that it s telling that God will always forgive you
Jesus will always be there for us no matter how bad we are. Even, if we are part of ISIS, if we confess our sins, we will be forgiven.
Jesus cured the man because of the great faith he had in him and God. Jesus told him not to tell anyone but he did.
I think Jesus is telling us that to love everyone and be ourselves
This reminds me that I need to make a effort to be friends with other people and include people who are left out like the lepers.
Jesus didn’t have to clean the man as it was only a wish but he did anyways.
i think Jesus is showing us threat we need to except everyone just like he did with the tax collectors.
God gave you the people around you so you can learn.
This bible story makes me realize that God will always be there for me and that I need to be thankful for everything I have.
Jesus is telling me to keep my body and soul pure and clean.
Jesus is teaching me that He will always love me and that no matter what I do, He will always forgive me.
treat ppl the way u want to be treated
I think that Jesus is saying that we all should treat others how we would want to be treated. And also that everyone is unique in their own way and we are all made in the image and likeness of God. that we should not judge others.
God wants us to come to Him when we are unclean or in need of His grace not to hide it He will forgive us if we try to make it right God is the true way to Heaven.
I like this scripture a lot. It shows me to be thankful for what god has given me and not to boast about it to my friends; to be humble.
We need to turn away from sin and ask God for forgiveness. We must be like the leper and do more than just be healed, but proclaim and pray. We need to pray to God to be forgiven of our sins. We need to pray and ask God for forgiveness, or else we’d end up in the dirt.
Jesus is trying to say that if God wills it it will be done. We should also be kind to everyone we meet because that is what Jesus would do. * Listen to ” Thy Will Be Done” by Hillary Scott It’s really good.*

Jesus is telling me through this scripture that i need to go to him in times of doubt and pray to him. Be nice to everyone no matter who they are, what they look like, and however they treat you, that is their decision on how they treat people.
