Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.
A leper came to him and kneeling down begged him and said,
“If you wish, you can make me clean.”
Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand,
touched the leper, and said to him,
“I do will it. Be made clean.”
The leprosy left him immediately, and he was made clean.
Then, warning him sternly, he dismissed him at once.
Then he said to him, “See that you tell no one anything,
but go, show yourself to the priest
and offer for your cleansing what Moses prescribed;
that will be proof for them.”
The man went away and began to publicize the whole matter.
He spread the report abroad
so that it was impossible for Jesus to enter a town openly.
He remained outside in deserted places,
and people kept coming to him from everywhere. MK 1:40-45
Imagine being banned from your family, friends, school, workplace, community, everybody. There are other lepers living with you in misery outside the towns. You may have lost all hope. Then, you hear that there is a Man that can cure you and set you free of your illness. Just as the leper did, we would fall to our knees and beg Jesus to heal us. Now, stop imagining and instead of a leper insert you and me as a sinner. Jesus wills to heal us and He willed to die on the cross to fulfill His Father’s will to redeem us from Adam and Eve’s original sin. We can’t forget this part of our identity. We inherited a loss of holiness. The only way back to the Father, our Creator, was through a Savior. His body and blood, soul and divinity without sin, His life.
Jesus wills Baptism, reconciliation, and gives Himself to us totally and completely in the Eucharist, so that we have an opportunity for His grace and to be forgiven when we fall so that we can come back to Him healed of our infirmities, holy, and enter heaven. There is no limit to His mercy, never tire of returning to Him after you have fallen. There are no whoppers too big for His grace. Grace restores what sin has damaged, allow yourself to be forgiven and healed. What will you do with this grace, this powerful love? Sin again or fight harder. Be careful not to take advantage of this great gift and sin again because you know God will forgive you (sin of presumption). Jesus wants to cleanse us, but we must respond with love, thanksgiving, and to stop the sin.
Jesus told the leper to show himself to the priest to be cleansed by what Moses prescribed, so that the priests would allow him back into their religious community. We too must forgive and allow people back into our lives. Forgiveness sets free the chains that bind us filled with hatred, anger, frustration, worry, anxiety, and bitterness towards another. Forgive and experience peace.
“Say please, thank you, and I’m sorry every day.” –Pope Francis
Today’s challenge: Allow Christ to heal your wounds, come before Him begging on your knees.
Be a servant, become a saint!
What would the world be like without sin? We don’t know because of our fallen human nature. It is a world we can only imagine
Jesus cured a man of his lepresy. God will do what ever he can to save us if we really ask.
I can apply this to my life by believeing and trusting in God. Something that stuck out to me was, even though Jesus told the leper not to tell anyone right after he healed him he went around telling everyone, I wouldn’t tell anyone because the person that just healedme told me not to.
Jesus is allways willing to forgive us. We just have to go and ask him. He is always there for us.
Jesus and God clean you like he cleaned the leaper when we go to confession or mass. When we go to confession after we confess our souls are clean of all of the sins you tell the priest just like how Jesus cleaned the leaper.
You are never unloved by God. This man was completely kicked out of scociety, his family, and home, but you are never to dirty for Jesus he loves you. He saw the suffering in his eyes and healed him changing his life. He always loves and he always forgives you are never to bad for Jesus.
This scripture puzzled me because if I was told by the highest person in the world to not tell anyone then I would not tell even my closest friends but this leaper went out and spoke of it to everyone.
One thing that stuck out to me is how the leper approached Jesus with faith that he could be healed. The leper is a social outcast so he was probably self-conscious to go to Jesus and ask for his healing, but when he did he was able to be healed. I think this relates to my life because when we sin we may feel like outcasts and be embarrased to go back to the Church, but through the sacraments, such as confession, we can be healed like the leper was.
As humans we have a fallen human nature, so we will sin, but Jesus loves us and so He wants to forgive us and let us into Heaven. Because Jesus wants to do this we can’t just sin because we know He will fogive us, we need to repent and turn away from our sin. We also need to forgive others and let people back into our lives.
This gospel has moved me because it showed me that Jesus really was fully man and divine. Jesus was moved with pity for the leper and he healed them. Jesus is our healer and when we have pain and sadness, we can turn to Jesus. Jesus loves us and wills the best for us and I am moved how he can heal us when we are in sadness or in pain. We must seek Jesus though because we must not deny him because he loves us. But if we do not will Jesus to heal us then he would not. We must will for Jesus to heal us. To surrender ourself to him.
What stuck out to me in this Gospel is how the leper was so failthful. This leper has probably had this disease for a while, and had been rejected from society, yet he believed that Jesus could heal him. I think that would’ve taken great faith. What also stands out to me is how Jesus didn’t want the leper telling everyone about him. It says that Jesus stayed outside of towns because he couldn’t openly enter them. I think that Jesus didn’t really want the popularity. He wasn’t doing it for the fame, and was just trying to help people and turn them to God.
Something I took away from this gospel is that even if you lose all hope just remeber that Jesus is there and will always be there. I also took away that we shouldn’t be scared to go to Jeses and beg. We should also let Jesus heal our wounds.
I feel like it was kind of messed up for the man with lepracy to tell everyone about the miracle Jesus performed on him. Mostly because Jesus told him not to, but he decided to do it anyway. I feel like connects to modern times, because God gave Moses these 10 Commandments that states what we should and shouln’t do. Even the people that read it still struggled. God tells us not to do these things but we still fall short and do them anyway.
Something I can take away from this is to always acknowledge the people around me and to have faith that Jesus will have my back
He is basically saying he want’s to be clean before the end happens. And this is one of the verses that he said “If you wish, you can make me clean.”
If you will it, the leper says. “Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand, touched the leper, and said to him, “I do will it. Be made clean.”” Lepers appear often in the Bible, as Jesus cures every leper that approaches Him. This time, He says ““See that you tell no one anything..”” He was basically humbling Himself. Sure, He’s the Messiah. But, He’s also a friend who you can depend on and who you can come to if you need anything.
That man was removed completely from his family his home and his friends. But Jesus always loves he always forgives and he always accepts you. A person is never to unclean for Jesus and his love. He had noone and Jesus changed his life in the best way.
In Mark’s reading today was about a man begging for forgivness to Jesus. I can put this reading in my daily life by asking forgivness and forving others that may have hurt me.
We always need to forgive people when they hurt you or to not have hatred for someone. Jesus is always here for you and you need to pray to him. He will awyas forgive and love us. We can always go to God for forgiveness and to become a better person and catholic.
One thing that i can take away from this reading is to remember that, just like how a leper cannot heal themself, we cannot forgive our own sins. That is why we need to go to God and humbly ask for his forgiveness, which he will happily give. But we don’t do that so that we can just go out and sin again, we do it to have a second chance at growing closer to the Trinity and farther away from sin.
Jesus could heal people and perform miracles. It wasn’t because He was magical or anything, it’s because He is God and anything can happen if He wills it. Even the curing of a leper or the forgiving of a sinner.
I can apply this to my life by forgiving others and letting people back into my life and by being a kind person and praying to God
This reiforces to me that there is still hope for even the worst sinner.
Can we do it? Do we have the courage to go to Jesus to be made clean, even though we know that we are going to do it again? I don’t know, but we are stubborn at soul to do it. And God always says yes.
The leper knew if Jesus wanted to, he could cleanse him, and this is much of the opposite for us. It is vice versa. We doubt, we shrug and we say that it couldn’t be done. “Who is this God?’ we tend to ask ourselves, and we run along, and we don’t see for how it is. We have a knack for being too deaf and too blind to understand it, and we see lies where truths are. It is only if, God, who is trying to plot our holiness, has what we asked for in the right time, then we have faith. But we taint with what we shouldn’t taint with, and now the man or woman, or the boy or girl that God doesn’t give to in the exact time, they naturally assume He doesn’t exist. But God has bigger knowledge. If he is trying to pin somebody in holiness, He may have to run through a phase, and this is phase A. We still aren’t undertsanding and then we say that God can’t exist. What we aren’t understanding is that there could be enough phases for A, B, and C until God will say yes.
God knows what should be done and whats best. If God tells us to do something than we should try and do it no matter what because God knows that is what will make us happy.
The gospel is trying to say we need to have faith in jeasus and put our life in his hands like the lepper did.
In todays Gosple Jesus is saying ask me and it will be done in the glory of the Father. What he means is that if we pray and talk to him everyday in our lives and ask him for anything we need to ask for he will anwser it. He loves us so much and we need to love him so much back
Jesus healed the leaper as He heals us. We suffer from sin and Jesus knows that. He helps us move away from sin and will heal us no matter what.
What I learned from this scripture today is that Jesus can help anyone.Im made me realize that even if you do something that you think could never be forgivin, Jesus will always love you still. He wants the best for us and for us to be a good child of Gods.
In this Scripture I picture myself as the leper but as a sinner where I am going back to God for forgivness. I am begging him with all my heart to forgive me and he does in the sacrement of confession. After that I am cleansed an Jesus says go back to the church and learn and pray so that you may be with me forever. This is what I believe what this Scripture passage tells me in my heart.
Jesus has the power to forgive our sins. We must go to him so he may cleanse us like he did the leper.
This scripture shows me that if you are truly humble in the presence of God, he will answer your prayers. But, we need to have a personal relationship with Him. When the leper publicized what Jesus had done, he broke that personal bond that he had created with Jesus. We must keep ourselves close to God, and do what he wills of us.
What really stuck out to me was that Jesus didnt want the fame. He told the lepper to not spread the news. we need to be more like Jesus.
Jesus healed the leper and told him to go and tell no one. He went back into town and just told everyone. It’s like when we sin, Jesus heals us of our sins and cleanses our souls. We have a clean slate and we are healed. Then, we leave and just go sin again. It’s like we take advantage of his forgiveness daily. We need to leave the confessional and fight hard and fight sin. So hopefully, next time we stay clean longer.
What I took from this is that we need to beg God for forgivness and we will be healed. We need to forgive others and we will be forgiven.
If we truly want forgivness, he will forgive us. He will always be there for us. No matter what we do, he will show mercy if we truly want forgiveness and love him. He will never leave our side and will always be there to bring us back to him.
What i got from today’s scripture is that, the leper came to Jesus not worried about Jesus rejecting him, he had Faith and Trust in God that Jesus would cleanse him without judging him. No matter how bad your sins are take them to Jesus through confession and ask for forgiveness.
In this scripture i read that people were dirty and that Jesus was there for them and cleaned them up. I can apply this to my life by helping others who need it. The saying “see a need fill a need” is perfect for this because thats what Jesus did and what we need to do in our daily lives.
forgivness sets free the chains that bind us filled with hatred, pray to him and ask for grace, grace restores what sin has damaged. allow yourselve to be forgiven and healed
Today in the scripture Jesus healed a very sick leper. He told the leper to not proclaim that Jesus healed him, but to say that what Moses perscribed healed him. Through the scripture we know that Jesus will forgive anyone for anything (that they did). And its true, God dosent run from you, you run from him. But when we turn back hes always there, and he will be forever.
If you are embaressed go to God, if you are ashamed go to God, if you are alone go to God. God will always love you for who you are wether you have made bad desisions or not. Youd on’t get to chose who loves you so when someone does you should love them back. You should love everyone for how they are.
I can apply this to my life by knowing I sin. When we sin, we have a temptation to sin again, but God is calling us to Him so we can repent. He wants the best for us, and by confessing our sins, we are being cleansed. Being cleansed by the Sacrament of Reconciliation, is like being cured from an illness. You are in pain, or in this case, you are sinning. Then a man comes up to you and cures you from an illness. This is like going to confession and the priest forgives our sins. We need to go to confession and ask for forgiveness from the Father.
I can apply this to my life by remembering that God gave up his life for us. He gives us everything we need in life and I need to show more gratitude for everything he’s done for me.
Jesus healed the leper because Jesus loved him and Jesus knew he loved God. The leper wasn’t afraid to get rejected because he trusted God.
What I learned from this is that even if you have flaws Jesus will always accept you.
In today’s scripture Jesus is telling us that we shouldn’t be afraid of what might happen and that we should always trust in God.
I can apply this to my daily life by remembering that God gave us life. And we should treat everybody with respect. We are all made in his image and likeness.
We have to forgive people who’ve hurt us. God will always be here for you to pray to him. He will awyas forgive and love us. We need to go to confession and ask God to forgive us because he will. He’ll always love us no matter what.
Jesus told the leper to not tell others about what had happened yet he did anyway. He had miraculously been healed with this incredible power yet he could not do the one thing that the son of God asked of him.
It shouldn’t matter what a person looks like, you should always be accepting of people. Neither should disabilities be a repulsive thing to look at.
I know that when I lose hope, I can turn to Jesus and he will answer and comfort me. He is all love and will help you out with patience, peace, or kindness! We also need to forgive one another, for Jesus forgave all who persucuted him.
What I took away from this scripture was that the leper sincerely and whole heartedly believed that he would be healed and was healed by Jesus. Then afterwards however he betrayed his trust and told everyone about the miracle. It showed me that if we whole heartedly ask God for something we can get it, but that doesn’t mean we can’t disobey God after we fullfill our deepest wishes.
Jesus is albe to clean us just like he cleaned the leper.
Jesus Did not want the Leper to tell everyone because of what had happened and he did it anyway so know Jesus has to deal with people from everywhere. This just goes to show you that People do believe in Jesus and that they would rather have him over anything else.
God will alwyas love us no matter what. We always complain about little things but never relize that many other people have it worse than us. We take stuff for granted and we need to be gratefull for everything we have. God will always be there to forgive us. We should follow in his footsteps.
If we, a sinner, went to Jesus and asked to be healed. But if we run away in fear from our greates friend the what kind of friend would we be? We need to remember that Jesus will always accept us with open arem and he already has. He is waiting for you, what he wants most is to be your friend. But if you are always runing form him you will never make it to Heaven. You will be wollowing in your own self misery and never see the light of God and his desire to help you.
I think this passage is saying that we can come to Jesus for healing even when we are in a bad spot in our world. Jesus loved the leper so much that he healed the leper even though no one else would ever touch him. So if we have sinned we can go to him for healing.
In today’s Gospel, Jesus is saying that we can ask him anything and it will be done in the Glory of God. We are all sinners and Jesus is saying that everyone had flaws and we should love evryone for the way they are. And if we sin, we can go to God because he is always with us and will always forgive us.
Jesus healed the leper and asked for one small thing in return; for him not to tell the whole city that he was there, yet the leper goes off and tells everyone how Jesus healed him. Jesus died on a cross for us, he gave up his life for us, so we should be able to do the little things he asks us to do. Don’t gossip, be kind to everyone, be respectful to your parents, go to Mass every Sunday, go to confession often. Yet we refuse to do these things, he gave up his life for us so we should at least be able to do the little things he asks of us.
In this Gospel, Jeus shows us his power. The leper went to him and asked if Jesus will that he be made clean. The leper truly believed and was healed my Jesus’ power. I can apply this to my life by going to God first and believing. I must also trust that he has a plan for me.
We always need Jesus. We always run away from jesus and push him away, but he is always there. Jesus heals us left and right. Sinning is very tempting. We sin everyday and Jesus still loves us very much.
In the scripture the leper said that Jesus could heal him if he wanted and Jesus did the leper did not ask but said that Jesus could heal him. I can apply this to my life by doing unnecessary acts of kindness remembering how Jesus did not have to heal the leper but did it anyway.
I find that this passage is truly amazing in the way that the Leper approaches Jesus so humbly and asks in such a nice and respectful dameaner. Jesus reponds by curing him knowing that he has been longing of returing home to see his family and friends. The way the leper acts with such respect towards Jesus whould the way that we approah every night in prayer.
Jesus always wants to forgive us and heal us from our sins so we don’t cast ourselves out from God, but we have to really want forgiveness Jesus will come and help us out of our sin we just have to talk to him.
The leper’s actions are what sealed the deal for him. He spread word of Jesus, when Jesus told him not to. This is so important because the cleansing of the leper is like the sacrament of Reconciliation: you cleanse yourself of an undesireable filth through the power of God, except it’s sin, not leprosy. Back to the leper now; He clearly did exactly what Jesus told him not to do, kind of like taking a shower, then rolling in a big puddle of mud. You did all of that work, just to get back to square one. Today’s scripture passage is telling us that confession isn’t just some quick fix that you can just use so you don’t go to hell, it’s a commitment. You uphold your duty to sin no more, you don’t just throw it in the trash.
In this scripture its showing me that we are like the lepers and when we sin we go to God for forgiveness. The leper had faith in Jesus and trusted him, like we should trust God when we sin.
The love and compasion that he had for the leper was amazing. He was filled with what he did that he did not want the leper telling everybody who did it for him. He is showing us by example that we should love and charise what we are doing for our faith in this life time today and to not hold back on what we should be forgiving because sometimes we can get caught up in the past. we need to forgive others and we will be forgiven. This is a perfect example of when we beg, the leper begged so he could be cleaned but not always shoulld we beg to people sometimes we need to leave it in the past and that is what stuck out to me. I like to say i live my life one day at a time so never take advantage of just ne day because the next you never know. I like to say we start each day we wake up with a gift of a blank page and that is what the leper got to start with back in the town.
God is always there for us we just have to ask Him.
Jesus is showing us proof that God is with us and nothing is impossible. He also is telling us that we will forgive us and cleanse us
I will put this in my life by knowing that every sin that i make, Jesus will forgive. I need to trsut God that he will do me good. I will love God and all of his doings.
The leper tells us that we need to go out of our way to do good. Just like the leper going to the Church to tell what has happened we can do good in many different ways. You could just act kind and inspire others or tell people about God.
that all we need to ask god to clean us frome sin and by his coice he will be there
I think that it was wrong of the man with leprosy told everyone after Jesus renewed him, even after Jesus told him to teel no one in aavance. Even still, the man told everyone. I mean, the man was overjoyed that he was clean again, but this made things bad for Jesus.
This scripture is telling me that we are like leperds, we are dirty with sin and we need to be clean. If we ask Jesus or God they will save us.
Jesus hepls a leper eventhough he didn’t ask him to. We are like lepers and confesion is cleansing. We need God to be happy and sin gets in the way of that. No matter how bad or how much we sin Jesus forgives us.
Something that I learned from today’s Gospel was that Jesus is man as well as fully divine. “Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand,
touched the leper, and said to him, “I do will it. Be made clean.”” Jesus was moved with pity. God heals us and accepts us no matter what condition we are in. We just need to go forth and ask Him to forgive us for our sins. We do this every time at mass.
What i got from todays scripture is that Jesus healed a leper because the leper came to him begging him to cleanse him. This is like when we come to Jesus asking for forgivness when we sin. Becuase when we come to Jesus begging for forgivness it shows that we truely want to be forgiven. And once we are forgiven of all of our sin we can be united with Jesus again. And we have to ask Jesus for forgivens for so many times becuase we are human and it is human nature to sin no matter how hard we try we will sin and we might not even know that we are sinning.
Today’s scripture tells me that we are like the leper seeking hope and wanting to be like other’s “normal”. Jesus heals the leper which is what we are a sinner, and how he cleanses the leper is like him cleansing our sins by dying on the cross for our sins. If we put hope, faith, and our everything in God we will be good Catholics.
I can apply this scripture to my life by trusting in God more. I think the leper represents us because the leper is dirty and we are dirty with sin and all we have to do is ask Jesus for forgiveness and he will cleanse us.
This scripture reminds me of when someone tells me something that’s a really big deal but they don’t want me to tell anyone. That is just like the scripture. Jesus told him not to tell anyone but told everyone that he possibly could.
We judge people too much. Some people don’t admit it, but everyone does it. Jesus didn’t care how ugly the leper looked because he didn’t even think that anyone was ugly. He thought and still thinks that everyone is beautiful because we are made in the image and likeness of God the Father. God loves us so much! Just think about that.
In this Verse it talks about how Jesus cured a leper and Jesus told him not to tell anyone and he disobeyed Jesus and told everyone. What this can represent is confession becuase Jesus cured the leper and we get cured of our sins and what the leper did is instantly do the thing he said not to do and most of the time after confession we sin again almost instantly and this leper disobyed and causing problems.
In this reading Jesus removes the leprosy from a man. He tells him to not tell or show anyone but the priest. This story teaches us that Jesus will be there to heal and be there for us
the story of the lepers incounter with Jesus was pretty cool to me just the way he cures him out of nowhere.
I think Jesus is nice always forgiving you no matter what. I think in return we should listen to him though. He wont talk to us in person but maybe you are being prompeted by the Holy Spirit to do something.
This reading has a special meaning to me. I really like it because when the leapor asks Jesus to heal him he did it in a way that humbled himself. This is really important for us because for God to heal our soul we have to humble ourselves and throw away our pride. However after the leapor was healed he forgot Jesus and was selfish. Whenever God gives us a blessing we need to thank him and not brag about how you are holy. That would be hypocritical. So what I would take away from this reading is that God can be thanked for all that is good.
I think Jesus is telling me today, to trust Him. Just like the leper trusted Him and asked for forgiveness, we should do the same even through our hardships. Jesus loves us very much even when we sin. We need to be all in.
I feel like Jesus is telling me that Family is a blessing, having God in my life is a blessing, and that Jesus is always willing to forgive you for your sin you just have to go to him.
The verse “If you wish, you can make me clean” really sticks out to me in this Gospel because it reminds me of what Jesus says in Luke 22:42 – “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” The first verse is the leper asking Jesus to heal him of his disease, but he also isn’t demanding. He understands that God has a plan for him, and that if having leprosy is part of that plan, then would let it be done. Jesus also asks for His own suffering to be taken away, but also lets His Father choose, according to His plan. I think we all assume that God’s plan consists of no pain and suffering, and when it occurs we question His Divine Being. We wonder why He would allow something to happen like that, if He truly loved us. But in reality, suffering is a gift of love meant to make us stronger and teach us how to turn to Christ in dark times. In “Footprints in a Darkened Forest”, (which is a book I highly recommend written by Fulton J. Sheen) Fulton describes pain like this, “The hammering of stone isn’t to punish it, but to bring out it’s inner beauty.” He also says this, “Your tears ran down my cheeks first” and “Your pain is but an echo of my parched cry on the cross”. Those two phrases are said by Christ. (I couldn’t find an online copy of the book, so I summarized those quotes.) So I encourage you to live life according to God’s plan, not yours. Even if that plan means for you to die January 15th or Febuary 8th. Trust in God, for He is closer than the very oxygen you breathe.
I’m inspired. Thank you for your witness! Mr. G
I think this passage is trying to tell us is Jesus is our only way out. this is telling us we cant have a “real” life without Jesus
In this reading Jesus removes leprosy from a guy. This tells us that Jesus will always be here for us and heal us.
I the Gospol it shows you that God can do anything. When God cured the leper it showed me that anything is possible through God
I can apply this to my life because just like Jesus picked up a leper and made him clean, so will Jesus help and do that to me.
I belive that jesus is telling us to trust him. Like the leper trusted him, we should trust him
Today the Gospel is telling me that I need to have faith. I need to have faith every day in everything I do. I need to be faithful to others and to myself too.
I can apply this to my life by trying to get closer to Jesus everyday. The leper is like us he is dirty and going up to Jesus kneeling asking his for forgiveness.
I feel like Jesus is speaking to me through this Gospel passage and telling me that I need to stop worrying and thinking about other things that are not even important, and start thinking about Him, and how I can get to Heaven. We are like the lepers and we need to go to God and ask for forgiveness even though God gives us forgiveness and grace that we don’t even deserve, but He does it anyway. If we have sins, we need to go to confession, just like the leper came to Jesus.
Todays scripture is about a leper coming to Jesus and asking him if he can be clean. i think it kinda like confession because the leper ask to be clean like we do in confession
What really sticks out to me is when Jesus says to only tell the high priests about the healing but then the leper goes off and tells everyone. My inital reaction was, “Why would you go against the words of someone who healed you?” Then I realized I would probably do the same thing. You start out judging and end up doing the exact same thing. “If you judge people you have no time to love them” -St. Theresa
Jesus granted the leper’s wish by making him clean and if Jesus did this the leper would have to go preach and teach the Word of God.
What I loved about this passage is the lepper. For he said, “If you wish, you can make me clean.”Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand, touched the leper, and said to him,“I do will it. Be made clean.”, I think it is amazing how tha lepper made sure to let God/Jesus know that he wanted God’s will to be done not his. He said if you wish not Lord please make me clean. See today including me people think God is a slot machine, not literaly, but like one. People including me take him for granted and only go to him when we ask for something. Very rarely do i hear myself say Lord not my will be done but yours. If you would want to you could heal my Dad, mom, or teachers. That is what I love about God is he can do it if he wants to not because we ask. #Christian Yolo
I think this means that we need to follow what Jesus says and not forget it. When you put trust in Jesus you need to fufill his word.
What I took from todays Gospel was that anything you do bad can be cleand by God. So dont hold yourself back be you but try not to be bad when you are being youself because you can always be cleand by God.
I think this means that we should beg God for forgiveness. We should put all of our trust in him, so he can help us all get to Heaven.
To me this message is saying that we need to go out and spread the word. It also is saying to me that I need to go and ask Jesus for help when i need help. If something is bothering me to just go and ask him.
What the Gospel is saying today is that if you ask Jesus and talk to him about the things you need or just ask him for,he will return to you and he will answer you or heal you.Like the leper said,”if you wish you can make me clean”.Jesus cleaned him and the leper left cleaned like Jesus does for us.
I think that this is saying I need to go and preach about Jesus. I also think that It is saying if we have problems to just go and ask Jesus for help. If something is bothering us to just go ask him.
This Gospel reading was different two me because Jesus asked the Leper not to tell anyone and the Leper did anyway. Where is his gratitude. This man just saved you from leporacy and you diobey Him. Jesus can’t go anywhere now. This puzzles me. Jesus was touched with pity on this man, so He healed him. I think it was also from the fact that the Leper believed Jesus could, so his faith was also a reason that he was healed. We should follow Jesus’ example and help people who are in need. We, as catholics, should take pity on those around us, and help out. I think everyone should always look up to Jesus, since he is an exxcellent role model. He did everything that a good person should do, like healing and preaching. Us catholics should also beg at Jesus’ knees just like the leper, to ask for his help and mercy.
We all sin and that what we ask God to forgive us. The Leper ask Jesus for forgiveness just like we ask God to forgive us from sinning.
What I am getting from this is that we should be clean before we move on. Every one of our sins can be cleaned. God forgives us because of his love.
so i think this remind me of how God will forgive us no matter what and love us no matter what
What stood out to me in the gospel today was the fact that the leper, even after being “sternly” warned not to say anything about his healing, couldn’t restrain himself from proclaim Jesus’s good works, he couldn’t keep himself from glorifiying God to all the world, to as many people as he could. Today the leper shows us our hearts, shows us that we need to ask God for what we need, and he will give it to us. stress on NEED he cares about us and is displaying to us that we need to come to him, he’s trying so hard to come to you, but you need to come those few steps, and approach him. We are also shown the very last step I always forget to take. Gratitude. The leper glorified God in the streets, singing out the fact that Jesus is alive, and good, and always here for us.
The part that stood out the most to me was when the leper said, “If you wish, you can make me clean”. It stood out because he didn’t try to demand or persuade Jesus to clean him of his disease. He also didn’t say you could try to make me clean he said you can make me clean, meaning the leper knew that Jesus was capable of healing him.
something that stuck out to me was, ¨ Jesus wills to heal us and He willed to die on the cross to fulfill His Father’s will to redeem us from Adam and Eve’s original sin.¨ because it shows us how much He loves us and how much He sacrificed. Jesus came down to save us and we don´t even realize how grateful we should be for Him. God always has our back and this scripture shows it. If we want to know God we have to listen and be more open to His words.
this scripture tells us that you can get your sins taken away just like the leper getting cured
This gospel is telling me that God will do anything for us just like what he did for the leper. God loves us and we need to love him to. If you ever need help or something like that you should always ask God for help because most likely he will help you or answer your prayers.
this scripture teaches us about the leaper Jesus healed .That is acting the same way as jesus telling us that our sins can be forgivin thru him because he died on the cross for us
the leper is us the people he keeps and will keep asking jesus for forgivness for the leper has sinned and he wants the forgivness from the lord
To me this Gospel means nothing that happens in our life is actually about our life. It is about our future, and not our living future. Our future in Heaven. And when we sin, that is something getting in the way to get to Heaven. Jesus is sad when we sin, and we keep doing it anyway because we can’t stand up for ourselves against the devil. We go to confession and say that we are sorry, and Jesus always forgives us. Always. The only thing that might not allow us to truly be freed of our sins, is us. When we don’t truly regret the sin we committed, that sin cannot get forgiven. We don’t allow forgiveness for it even though our creator is always ready and willing to forgive us. When we are ready to confess our sins, and be honest about everything we’ve done, and to be truly sorry for it, God forgives you no matter what or how bad the decision you’ve made was.
I think that the scripture today is telling me that Jesus can do anything. He can heal you from any wound, even the deepest ones. It is also shocking to me that all you have to do is be sorry, and beleive that He can heal you, and He will. It is astounding how easily He forgives us. So why not ask? “Knock and the door will be open unto you” -Jesus
hey i think something glitchy happened the first time i tried to comment so now i have two comments. sorry.
I think that the scripture today is telling me that Jesus will heal our wounds, no matter how deep they are, if we just ask. All we have to do is beleive in Him, and be genuinly sorry. It is astounding how easily he forgives us. So why not ask? Jesus even said “Knock and the door will be opened unto you.” I don’t know about you, but I’m going to knock.
One thing that I noticed was that we do make mistakes they can be big or small and sometimes we dont care we did it either it was staying up to late or lying we still do it but Jesus wants to forgive us and take us to heaven sometimes I feel like we dont deserve it look at all the things we do and dont care we think we need everthing when we dont all we need it family and we have it and take it for granted.
One thing that stuck out in this passage was Jesus’ humble attitude about cleansing this leper. We may no be so easily forgived right away by othere people, but if we pray to God and ask for forgiveness, we have a cleansed soul. Asking is something we shouldn’t be afraid or ashamed of. Especially with God. God created us and gave us a reason to live. To love and spread joy, not fear. A taste of forgiveness is after confession, after we had been cleansed. Like a weight has been lifted off our shoulders. We should not have grudges and a stubborn attitude, instead we should be forgiving and deal with any guilt we have.
