Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.

Lifting up his eyes to heaven, Jesus prayed, saying:
“Holy Father, keep them in your name
that you have given me,
so that they may be one just as we are one.
When I was with them I protected them in your name that you gave me,
and I guarded them, and none of them was lost
except the son of destruction,
in order that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
But now I am coming to you.
I speak this in the world
so that they may share my joy completely.
I gave them your word, and the world hated them,
because they do not belong to the world
any more than I belong to the world.
I do not ask that you take them out of the world
but that you keep them from the Evil One.
They do not belong to the world
any more than I belong to the world.
Consecrate them in the truth.
Your word is truth.
As you sent me into the world,
so I sent them into the world.
And I consecrate myself for them,
so that they also may be consecrated in truth.” JN 17:11-19

We are dust and to dust we shall return. The Divine (Jesus) became Man so that man can become divine. God made us as His only creation with a body and a soul, therefore we have earthly bodies with heavenly homes.
“I gave them your word, and the world hated them,
because they do not belong to the world
any more than I belong to the world.”

We are in this world, but were on not of this world. Since Jesus resurrected from the dead, we are promised a home in a spiritual realm. We can enter this spiritual realm any time we pray. God gave us an intellect to gain knowledge of Him. This in turn helps us pray, grow in a relationship with Him and enter the spiritual realm. “Prayer is the key that unlocks God’s heart.” Padre Pio

Today, Jesus is speaking to the Father and the apostles overhear what He is saying thus it is written in John’s Gospel. The hard truth is that through the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ we join Him in our baptism and die to Original sin so that we may enter into holiness or heaven, the spiritual realm to be with our Creator and Savior forever. We will be persecuted since we do not belong of this world. We will also experience joy here and now through suffering and through serving others. By denying ourselves and taking up our crosses and giving them to Jesus who knows all about suffering, we can grow in holiness. Holiness or heaven is our heart’s greatest desire. Give your heart to Jesus, become His friend in suffering and joy. The rewards are eternal.
