Humbly submit your will to God and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

“Jesus was going through a field of grain on the sabbath.
His disciples were hungry
and began to pick the heads of grain and eat them.
When the Pharisees saw this, they said to him,
“See, your disciples are doing what is unlawful to do on the sabbath.”
He said to the them, “Have you not read what David did
when he and his companions were hungry,
how he went into the house of God and ate the bread of offering,
which neither he nor his companions
but only the priests could lawfully eat?
Or have you not read in the law that on the sabbath
the priests serving in the temple violate the sabbath
and are innocent?
I say to you, something greater than the temple is here.
If you knew what this meant, I desire mercy, not sacrifice
,
you would not have condemned these innocent men.
For the Son of Man is Lord of the sabbath.”  MT 12:1-8

Jesus simply teaches us that He is the Messiah once again.  He is greater than the temple because he will go on to be a living sacrifice for all of us.  He will be forgiveness for every sin and he wants us therefore to forgive.  Jesus is alive in every tabernacle throughout the world and adoration chapel.  Go visit him.  He thirsts for you and I.

Today’s challenge:  Next time you go to Mass, don’t think of it as something to check off the to-do list, but a place where you are visiting the living Jesus.  Most importantly, he died so that you could consume Him and be Him for others through the grace of the Eucharist.  “I say to you, something greater than the temple is here.”  Jesus is still here!  Visit him often.  Forgive someone!
It’s Friday, fast or be poor in some area of your life to join in the sufferings of Jesus Christ.  It is a requirement, not an option!

Become a saint!
